The kitchen is without a doubt one of the most used rooms in the house. It’s also the most challenging room to organize, what with all of the pots, pans, utensils, plastic containers, silverware, small appliances, and large appliances.

Here are the top 10 tips to keep your kitchen organized so that you can find what you need when you need it!

1. Embrace glass jars

Glass jars are brilliant because you can see exactly what’s inside. No need to unscrew 5 different lids to find the pasta!
You can buy beautiful Mason jars, glass bottles of all sizes, or even recycle glass jars from pickles or pasta sauce.
No more stacks of randomly-sized plastic containers, half of which don’t have lids! You’ll be doing the planet a favor, all while saving yourself some time.
Plus, anything stored in a glass jar looks beautiful.

2. Hook it up

Wherever possible, hang your pots, pans, and utensils on wall or ceiling hooks. Hanging things enables you to see everything you have available without having to dig around in deep cupboards or at the back of shelves.
You can even hang things in such a way as to look gorgeous! And if you have colorful cookware like the pretty items at unocasa.com, you can show them off.
The sides of your cabinets are more prime real estate space! Hook utensils, towels, or other items there so that they are ready to use. Choose your prettiest pieces, and they will look decorative as well as be ready to use.
You can also use rails or even shelves. Pop a plant on the top shelf, and voila, instant decoration.

3. Drawer dividers are your friends

Drawer dividers are uber-practical, must-have items if you have deep drawers full of unnamed implements, such as barbecue skewers, corn on the cob holders, pizza wheels, and can openers. No more hunting for that tiny cocktail fork or elusive pair of chopsticks!

4. Cabinet turntables are life-changing

Having turntables inside your cabinets is an effortless way to take the pressure off of trying to find something in a hurry. Turntables allow you to store lots of items of varying sizes (jars of pesto, bags of spices, packets of sushi rice) without having to worry about finding whatever is hiding at the back.
You don’t have to have one large turntable, either. Several small turntables inside one cabinet can make all the difference for storing sauces, spices, and other items.

5. Store your appliances

Are your appliances cluttering up your countertop? Try using either deep drawers, deep shelves, upper shelving (for items you don’t use every day), or pull-out shelves.
Keep the daily appliances out, and store the rest. Your kitchen will look cleaner and feel more spacious.

6. Keep kids happy with their own space

If you have small children, consider storing their items in a low cabinet. Children can then grab their lunch boxes, drink containers, snack containers, and other items themselves, saving you precious time in the morning!
If you’re lucky, children may think to put their items away in the same place

7. Use the inner door space on the insides of cupboards

The space along the inside of a cupboard door is more precious real estate for your organizational needs! Try hanging some removable wall hooks to store paper and other bags, pot lids, anything goes!

8. Grab an over-the-door pocket organizer

These pocket organizers hang on the backs of doors and have many pockets (opt for the clear pockets to be able to see what’s inside). Hang one of these over your kitchen door, and you can store small snack packets, bag ties, clothespins, spices, scissors, whatever you fancy.

9. Think vertical for your baking sheets and muffin tins

Most of us have our baking sheets and muffin tins in one giant pile in a deep drawer. But how simple is it, really, to find what you need at a glance?
Consider storing your baking sheets, cutting boards, muffin tins, and other similar-sized tools in a vertical filing system. You can easily insert small poles or dividers, and store your items as you would your cookbooks.
Tension rods are great for setting up instant dividers, among many other things.

10. Sponge holders aren’t just for sponges

Get some of those sponge holders with a sucker cup that sticks to tiles or cabinet doors. These holders are a handy way to store snack items and other light objects that otherwise would be cluttering up your cupboard.

I hope you’ve found these top 10 tips useful for organizing your kitchen!

The post 10 Kitchen Organization Tips first appeared on PERU DELIGHTS.

The first traces of coca leaves found in human settlements date from the IV preceramic period (2,500 / 1,800 BC). They were bags of leaves, already prepared, that were buried next to the dead, perhaps to guide and feed them on their journey to the afterlife.

Before the arrival of the Spanish, the use of coca was widespread throughout the Andean area: it reached present-day Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua in the north and northern Argentina in the south.

In the Inca Empire, the coca leaf was used as an instrument of exchange (currency), was given as an expression of friendship, and was used as an offering in religious ceremonies. The coca plant was grown on state plantations for the consumption of officials and public works workers.

Despite the fact that many of the conquerors of Peru (starting with Pizarro himself) were soon fond of chewing coca, the official version of the Spanish administration was that the supposed virtues of coca were no more than a suggestion by the indigenous, a perhaps demon-induced superstition. However, given the good results produced among the indigenous people who consumed it, the Spanish did not hesitate to start cultivating and distributing it.

The coca plantations of the Inca state were distributed among several Spanish settlers and integrated into the colonial economy. At the end of the 16th century, and in Cuzco alone, there were more than 400 Spanish merchants who lived exclusively on the cultivation and commercialization of coca. Throughout the 17th and 18th centuries, its use spread among the middle classes of the population (creoles and mestizos). Even medicine adopted it as a drug, in the form of inhalations, infusions, or poultices.

Later, Angelo Mariani, a Corsican chemist, was the first to use the coca plant for European consumption. In 1863 he launched a wine made from coca extract called Vin Mariani to the market.

The wine won awards and medals throughout Europe; In addition, it was the favorite drink of many personalities of the time: Emilio Zolá, Julio Verne, Tomas A. Edison, Ulisses Grant, Alejandro Dumas, the Popes Leo XIII and Pius X, as well as numerous members of the art world and the aristocracy European. In 1895, a Georgia pharmacist released a bad imitation of Vin Mariani and Coca Cordial.

Feel free to substitute the fresh chili peppers with aji amarillo paste if you don´t find them whole. The result, flavorwise, will be very similar. The main difference in this recipe is that it adds fried onion and garlic, cooked along the aji amarillo, which will give an extra layer of flavor to the salsa. Why don´t you follow these steps and try it if you want to experiment? I´m sure you´ll be pleased. This method involves a little more work than the other recipe for Huancaina Sauce I but it´s totally worth it.

The renowned chef has been found, on Friday, June 8, without life in his hotel room in France. The reason for his death: suicide.
This morning the world of entertainment and gastronomy has risen in mourning after receiving the sad news of the death of Anthony Bourdain. This Friday the same CNN, channel in which the renowned chef worked, has confirmed the death of the chef and television star.

According to the information provided by the television network, the chef would have been found lifeless due to a “hanging” in his hotel room. The celebrity was in France to shoot new episodes of his food and tourism show “Parts Unknown” in its 11th season. The program aired a tribute on his website on Friday that his death was known.

CNN said in a statement the following:richard mille replica

“With deep sadness, we confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain. His love for adventure, new friends, good food and remarkable world stories made him a unique storyteller. His talent never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him a lot. Our thoughts and prayers are dedicated to your daughter and family at this difficult time ”

Anthony grew up in Leonia, New Jersey and has worked since his teens as a dishwasher at the beginning. “I was a happy dishwasher. I always say between jokes that I learned all the important lessons, the most important lessons of my life, how to wash dishes. ” Bourdain launched into stardom when he was more than 40 years old after publishing an article in The New Yorker called “Don’t eat before reading this” that later became a bestseller, “When the book went on sale, I transformed my very fast life – I mean, I change everything, “said Bourdain. The chef also participated in several culinary programs and was the author of several culinary books and culinary reviews. Bourdain achieved great popularity in the United States and the world for his charisma, sincerity and the great content he included in all his shows. The chef also worked for various media such as The New Yorker, CNN, Travel Channel, Fox and being the author of multiple bestsellers such as “Les Halles: Strategies, recipes and cooking techniques of the classic Bistro” and “The Nasty Bits ”

Anthony Bourdain got a spiritual cleanse by a Shaman in the jungle of Peru

The life of the renowned chef also went through great ups and downs. In an intimate interview with “The Guardian” he declared that not everything in his life was pink as many painted it. He admitted to feeling like an unhappy soul and had suffered a series of addictions to hard drugs such as heroin and crack, which he began to use in his 20s. He also indicated that he believed he had overcome all that dark phase of his life and regretted very much having mistreated and behaved badly with cooks, waiters and kitchen assistants because of his problems controlling his anger. Bourdain said: “It’s terrible to make people feel like they’re stupid for working hard for you.”

Anthony was also known to be a feminist activist. Since he started dating Asian girlfriend Argento, the first actress to declare the abuses that Harvey Weinstein was performing against many women, Bourdain came closer to this fight. The chef took drastic measures to promote gender equality in the gastronomic field and short-term relationships with several chefs who were intrusive on allegations of abuse.

Anthony Bourdain was dealing with a strong depression for a long time. In another interview with People, the chef declared that he had the responsibility to stay alive since his daughter was born in 2007 so as not to leave her alone. Similarly, he admitted that he had contemplated suicide on several occasions but that he had been able to “overcome” this stage and that he now felt relatively happy and tried to see the things in life that were really worth living. The chef had the unconditional support of his partner, Asia Argento, who thanks to her made him feel stable. Unfortunately, the chef could never leave behind his past and his life was overshadowed by suicide.
