Meet Cailey, a terrier mix puppy. Her approximate DOB is 3/12/09.

Cailey was found hiding under a car with her friend Cassie who has been adopted.

Cailey was the brave one and came out to see the rescue volunteer who found them.

Cailey is very loving towards humans and other dogs.

It is not known if Cailey gets along with cats. She is a very playful and very much a puppy as she is curious about everything in sight. She’s a strong little girl, holds her own and keeps the rest in line. Since Cailey is still a puppy, we don’t know for sure how big she will get; we are estimating 25-30 pounds.

Please do not submit more than one photo per pet. Any photos with multiple pets in the picture will not be accepted.

My reply, without thinking twice was “Yes!”. I thought it a bit odd that someone would ask me such a question. That same person then asked me if I thought society would accept such a thing! I thought “What?!” but said “Yes!”.  Bottom line, people embrace love, regardless what form it comes; but in our society we see more negativity in the media than positive. The contest will be available to all of BocMeow’s pet sitting and dog walking clients in the South Bay as well as BocMeow’s online social networking followers/friends. The more people that know about it, the better!!!

We would like to make the announcement with rules on November 9, 2009 for participants to enter the contest.

However, we would like to have all prizes organized per category, i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd prior to making the contest announcement. If you’re interested in donating to our contest, please contact Shannon Benecke, owner of BocMeow. This is a great way to market your business!!! Everyone who donates will receive constant shoutouts from BocMeow on Facebook and Twitter during the photo contest promotion plus a blog written all about your business!

Since the contest will be promoted via Twitter and Facebook, we can only accept donations that can be used ANYWHERE  (no stores/grooming salons, etc as someone in Washington cannot go to a pet store in California).

Henry is a 2.5 year old purebred Miniature Schnauzer hoping to soon find his fur-ever family

Henry was dumped by his owner at a high kill shelter.

He is an affectionate, sweet and friendly boy who loves people! He gets along with most dogs (he’s a little dominant-as long as the other dogs aren’t dominant, he’s fine.)

Henry is NOT cat friendly; he’d like them for lunch but not as a date!

Henry LOVES the dog park! Like many of the dogs in rescue Henry needs obedience training but has been responding well in his foster home.

He is very energetic and requires a home with a secure fenced yard.

Henry is approximately 28 pounds.

Ginger is a 3 year old Corgi/Spaniel mix looking for her fur-ever home.Please continue reading to learn more about this special girl!

Ginger was found on the streets, scared to death.

For a while after she was rescued, Ginger would not let anyone touch her except for a little boy.

It is obvious she has been abused as she is afraid of all new adults.

Once she knows you won’t hurt her, she warms up. She likes to be petted but not held; although she will sit beside you.

Ginger would do best in a quiet home without a lot of visitors.

Ginger’s future family must be aware that new people frighten her i.e. must inform all visitors to respect Ginger’s space.  Ginger is approximately 19 pounds.

At BocMeow, we know how the weekend is often a time for our clients to rest from their busy work week.

While you’re ready to sleep in and keep it low key during the weekend, your barkin’ buddies are ready to start a new adventure.

So if your dog seems like he/she is feeling restless and needs more than just a walk around the block, you now have the option to call BocMeow and schedule an hour hike for your fur kid!

The hikes are not only a great way to give your dog a GREAT workout, but also allows them to interact with other dogs and give them a bit of mental stimulation outside of their daily routine!

Since this is a brand new service for BocMeow we are currently limited to offering hikes ONLY on Sundays between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm.

It is highly recommended you make reservations at least 7 days in advance if you’d like your pup to join the BocMeow Pack Hiking Club!

We will take no more than 5 dogs (per person) at a time on a trail in the Palos Verdes area.

Hikes are $30.00 per hour including round trip transportation ($10.00 per additional dog). Drivetime is not included in the hour so your dog will get one FULL hour of hiking in the Palos Verdes area.

If you’d like your dog to participate every Sunday, we offer a 15% discount.
