I have updated my Blogger template so the font and the colours blend in better with the main website. I am quite pleased with the overall effect and it certainly looks more 'connected' to laura-young.co.uk. I may change a couple of the text colours and i've been wondering if the white text is too bright. I'm thinking of changing it to a pale grey to make the effect a bit softer on the eye.

Pets Information updated

Today I have done the first page in the Pets Information section. It is about Syrian Hamsters. I have added sections on feeding, housing, cleaning, hygiene and handling. Follow the link above to take a look.

I have also added the website to Google sitemaps so Google knows the pages are there to look at, and I can keep an eye on the site to see if / when it gets indexed and what search querys it's coming up for and that sort of stuff.

laura-young.co.uk - original artwork, ACEO's & photography

Welcome to the blog of website laura-young.co.uk. The website is to showcase my original artwork and ACEO's so my pet portraits website can concentrate purely on the portraits. My new site is also going to contain information and articles about my local Highland area, Wildlife and Pets. There's not a lot on it at the moment, but the top level pages are there and the design is sorted. I like the black with the red writing I think it looks quite dramatic and should make an impact. I have added some pictures to the ACEO and Original Artwork pages.

This is also going to be an SEO experiment for me. I'm hoping to get the Search Engines looking at it through updates and links reported on this blog, which will be updated daily or every other day at the least. The extra information should also help, as the Search Engines like 'authority sites' which i've taken to mean sites with useful, original content, which is good for viewers as well!! My biggest challenge however, is to avoid the dreaded 'sandbox' so my linking is going to be steady and with several different anchor texts so the links are 'natural'. Anyway, fingers crossed.
