What should you do to take care him/her?

1/. Love - it is the reason why you can keep them for yr whole life and eager to take care in all aspects. Or else, you have to find the proper guy to take the responsibility.

2/. Warm - a place with soft bed must be comfortable and give them peaceful feeling even there is not a cat mami, a fur with continuous warmer is a must for the bed, a little bit darker environment make the kitten feeling safe and sleep well.

3/. Milk - for any baby, they cannot survive without milk, proper milk provide good nutrition to their growth and build up good health condition. They have got energetic spirit from good milk and you can easily see from their playing energy.

4/. Toilet training - Without the help of mami, stimulation should make by us, a cotton with warm water is the best replacement which you better practice before each meal. And it is the health indication that you can understand how is their digestion system work.

5/. Friends - Elder cats provide warm and close contact feeling as mami that we cannot totally act as, once the elder get closer & closer contact with the kitten, they will become friends and playing partner after growing up

It is miracle, perhaps they will stick together and love each other as family members for future. You give all your love to them and it is the best what you can do. Don't forget to call his/her name from 1st day you meet the kitten, they are fully understand and must respond to after certain period of time. That is yours - your pet forever.

How to Keep the Cats?

I know some of these things are simple, but sometimes our furry friends need a helping hand. To clean my cats eyes I use a cotton ball dipped in warm water and swipe the complete eye including the tear duct. They can get "sleepy seeds" in this area just like we do, and although they wet their paw and rub the eye, it is still good to maintain this practise on a regular basis. The nails are another area (unless your cat is de-clawed) that should be checked.

Most cats have scratching posts at home and this is how they keep their nails short. It is similar to us using nail clippers when our nails get to long. There are tools on the market that are similar to our nail clippers and work the same way ours do. You need to be extremely careful doing this because a cats nails has a "quick" just like ours. If you cut the nail to short, not only will you get scratched, it may also bleed a bit. Good luck trying to cut the nails the next time! You can also get their nails clipped at a vets if you so choose to but generally a good scratching post will do the trick. Just take a look every now and then to make sure they're not to long. Combing is essential to keeping you cat hair ball free.

Cats are constantly bathing themselves; however, there are places they can't reach easily. Under the chin, and along the spine are two places that come to mind. There are all kinds of fancy cat combs and brushes out there, but I find a fine tooth "human" comb works just fine. When combing your cat always go "with" the flow of the coat and not "against" it as this causes undo stress for the cat, plus it hurts!

My cat "Misty" and I enjoy this time together when I comb her. It is relaxing for both of us and it gets all the hair balls out of the fur. If you do this on a regular basis you won't have as many to deal with. If your cat is and outdoor one, then sometimes they pick up brambles, twigs, etc. in their fur. Rather than struggle with the comb, I usually just cut these out with a pair of scissors. My cat freaked the first few times I did this, but continuing to do it a couple of times a week, she quickly got used to it. I treat her with something special to eat afterwards so she's not stressed. I comb Misty two or three times a week and she knows she's getting a treat afterwards, so as soon as she sees me coming with her comb she jumps up to her grooming spot and is eager to go. This is also an excellent way to see if your cat has ticks or fleas.

There are a wide variety of flea collars, drops, pills out there and are available at Pet stores, grocery stores, vets, etc. This time of year is very important to check you pet for fleas. Fleas are warm blooded and are looking for a free ride into a nice warm place-(like your home). Fleas can be found in your lawn from neighbors dogs, cats, etc. so and can hop onto your pet. They can also hitch a ride on us!!! These are nasty little critters for your pets, and us, so early detection is best for everyone.

The simplest way to eliminate them is to put a plate on the floor with a touch of dish liquid in it. Turn on a small lamp and place it directly over the plate when you go to bed at night. When you wake up in the morning you should find the remains of a few of them. Make sure if you have small children, kittens, puppies, you remove this as soon as you get up. Believe me it really does work! Hope you enjoyed these little tips on maintaining your cat.

Karen Mckee - proud pet owner of Misty

First Litter Box for your Cat

Before bringing home a cat for a pet, one should do some research on what items are needed to make this feline friend of yours feel comfortable indoors.

Since such pets are not yet toilet trained, it is important to get a litter box to train the cat on where to go when nature calls. Doing this will save the person time and effort cleaning up the waste the creature has left in various places of one's home.

To make this happen, choosing the right litter box for the cat is important. This depends on the size of the cat and if the pet finds it spacious inside. Since the litter box is the toilet for the pet, this should be easily accessible both for going in and out of the box.

One can buy a litter box that can easily be cleaned from time to time. This can be found in the internet or at the local pet store that will cost twenty-five dollars and above. The price depends on the kind of material that is used in making the box- whether it is plastic or another kind of non-absorbent material.

If the person is too lazy to clean it, there is an electronic version that will cost more than a hundred dollars. Should the person decide not to buy either of the two and would prefer to use a disposable kind, one can use a soda box which should also be changed.

The litter box must have fillers making it easy for the person to clean. This is needed to prevent odors from staying inside the box that can produce bacteria causing the cat to get sick.

In order for the cat to have some privacy, it is best to choose a litter box that can have a cover on top. This will make it warm and comfortable for the cat when it is time to go to the toilet.

There are many types of litter boxes available from the small versions for the kittens to the big ones for the full grown cats. With the many types of fillers available, one should choose the best that will be comfortable for the pet.

Should the person have a hard time choosing the right litter box, one can ask the sales person in the pet store or ask people who have cats for advice.

8 Tips For Keeping Indoor Cat Happy

The number of house cats is increasing. More and more cat owners are deciding that it's no longer safe for their cat to go outside unsupervised; cars, other animals, poisons and malicious people are just some of the reasons.

Indoor cats can lead very happy lives, but they do need to be entertained more than outdoor cats. If house cats aren't stimulated enough, they'll get bored and may become stressed or exhibit cat behavior problems such as scratching the furniture and ignoring their litter box.

Here are 8 tips for keeping your house cat happy and entertained:

1. Make sure he has plenty of cat toys. He should have toys in every room. To add interest, split his toys into two or three batches and rotate them every few days.

2. Get him some good cat furniture. A scratching post is a must. Two or three in different areas of the house is even better. If you can afford it, cat trees and cat condos are great for entertaining house cats. If you're on a tight budget, you can make a cat condo using boxes, carpet, logs etc.

3. Use catnip. If your cat likes catnip, sprinkle it around his scratching post, bed and other favorite areas.

4. Provide seats for your cat near windows. Cats love to watch what's going on outside, and to sit in the sun. Window views at garden or street level are likely to provide more entertainment than those at higher levels in the house.

5. Grow some cat grass in a pot. This is a good substitute for eating grass outside.

6. Get a DVD specifically made for cats. Yes they do exist! Some cats love them and some aren't interested, but they're relatively cheap so it's worth a try.

7. Use a computer screensaver with swimming tropical fish. Some cats love this - it's like ultimate cat TV.

8. Teach your cat to walk on a leash. This does take some time and patience, but if you can do it you can then take your house cats outdoors in total safety.

Why Cat for Pet?

Cat is an intelligent animal and it is loyal to its master. Cat is the next pet chosen by many after dog. Cat is like human beings needs proper care and love. Cats always love to go out for cool air and come inside for warm air and food. It is proved that cat is best companion of man from long time as it played important role in history.

There is a big difference between the cat you are raising and outside cat. Outside cat can go anywhere and can have whatever they want. But cat you grow gets only what you give and they live only in and around your house. So there are many things you need to care for long life your cat. You must ensure the safety of your cat from other animals like neighbor's dog or any accident from outside.

Provide toys to cat so that can enjoy themselves. Sometimes cat feel bore without having things to time pass. Arrange a small door for cat so that they go out and come inside whenever they wanted. So it will be free to move in and out of house. Some cat requires owner to play with it. When the owner play with toy they feel it like any moving object and try to catch. This helps to improve their hunting skill.

If you are living in an apartment then don't allow your cat to roam around your house. It may disturb your neighbors and they may harm your pet. Providing several small meals is better than big one or two meal for a day. You must need to have basic knowledge of cat feeding and when to feed. Cat needs love and care of its owner or else it may not behave properly.

Cat is a loyal animal that loves its master as much as you love them. You can arrange for some enclosure to your cat to play and enjoy the outside scenes. Ensure good shelter for your cat, hygienic place to live and have basic knowledge on cat's feeding habits. Provide toys to cat and let them enjoy playing itself. You can also help your cat to play with toys. Remember to spend some time daily with your cat which will ensure it that you care and love them. You can get things from pet shop which can turn your cat's life interesting. If you give good care and love then cat gives you more love back.
