The season begins on February 8th with A Night at the Oscars celebrating the award winning music from the movies. Peter and The POPS play the epic scores from Academy Award-winning and nominated movies. While the programs are always announced from the stage, Peter has promises to include a performance of his renowned interpretation of �Rhapsody in Blue.�

Peter is playing Kansas City as part of the Folly Theater Jazz Series on November 5, 2011 at 8 p.m. If you're in the Kansas City area, come out to see Peter dazzle the audience with his unique crossover jazz interpretations of the Great American Songbook.

The Philly Pops Orchestra with Peter Nero will be the opening event for the city's new Convention Hall, Memorial Day weekend 2012.

�Back in June, council gave the approval and I met with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops and we worked out an agreement for them to come down that Memorial Day weekend and play a gala fundraiser benefit for the city,� said [Mayor] Mahaney. read more..."

Light up the applause sign for conductor Peter Nero, who has extricated his signature ensemble - the Philly Pops - from the mess of the Philadelphia Orchestra bankruptcy.

In doing so, Nero rescued a 2011-12 season of concerts. Look for the Pops to return to the stage in December, albeit for a slightly shorter run than usual. More important, Nero assured that a beloved Philadelphia cultural gem will be around for future seasons.

A breakup of the Pops' six-year partnership with the orchestra was in the making prior to the Fabulous Philadelphians' decision in April to file for a Chapter 11 reorganization. Orchestra officials said they were losing money on the 2005 Pops merger....read more

Peter Nero and the Philly Pops return to the Patriots Theater at the Trenton War Memorial on October 1, 2011 at 8:00 pm. This tenth anniversary concert will feature special guest Lucie Arnaz.

Lucie Arnaz, daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, is celebrating 40 plus years in show business. Members of the Philly Pops will be featured as soloists, and by popular request, in addition to leading the Philly Pops Peter Nero will play the piano.

The proceeds of this concert will benefit The Foundation of Morris Hall/St. Lawrence, Inc.
