When you start to market yourself or your business on the internet you need to build your email marketing list. The best way to build your email marketing list is by offering something of Value to your potential subscriber. Now many may get stuck at where to go from here. But do not fear… there are plenty of ways to create Free Valuable Content. If you need help in coming up with some ideas please don’t hesitate to contact me and I’ll be more than willing to help you generate some good ideas for you to give away to build your list.

A great way is to create a 5-7 part educational report about something that corresponds with what you do. Then you can record each day onto video and then plug it into your autoresponder. You’ll start to build a list of qualified people who want your information and they’ll get to know, like and trust you through your free video report.

There are many out there who are struggling to learn how to market online. For many small business owners it can’t be difficult to know where to start. With all the new Web 2.0 marketing online has become cheaper if you know what to do. Many don’t understand how to utilize social media to network with other people. Networking online is just like networking face to face… you have to build relationships. And all the social media sites allow you to do that and there are some good strategies for doing that effectively and that will make you stand out from the crowd.

One of the best ways to start marketing online is through a blog. You are able to establish your expertise and people can subscribe to what you publish. So your Blog is a good starting point for building relationships with others, you can create a Free Report on the benefits of your services and then in exchange for someone’s name and email give them your report.

Many who are beginners to online marketing don’t understand the power of a list or even what a list is. A List is the most important thing when it comes to online marketing… these are the people who have opted-in to receiving your information. And if you treat your list right… they will be your customers forever.

I connect with several new people every week through Facebook. I will accept just about any friend request, but it drives me crazy when people will post their link on my wall. I also get quite a few “Check this link out”, through twitter. I find it amusing that people do this.

People have so much to offer but instead of just networking and saying hello, they chose to spam anyone who will let them. Now there is nothing wrong with a little self promotion but in my opinion it should be about 10% of the time with the other 90% of the time being valuable content for others to use.
