font-family: Poppins; font-size: medium;">My father was an architect with a big heart who introduced me to Joesph Campbell's book <i><b>The Power Of Myth</b></i>.</span></p><p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Poppins; font-size: medium;">My mother was a social worker (truly living life as a good samaritan, even today at the age of 89) who literally took a trip around the world.</span></p><p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Poppins; font-size: medium;">After getting my undergrad in Literature with Writing Emphasis at Marquette University, I went to work for <b>General Motors</b> as a systems engineer.</span></p><p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Poppins; font-size: medium;">Years later I got a Masters in Creative Writing from Oklahoma State University, then a <b>PhD in Creative Writing</b> from the Center for Writers at the University of Southern Mississippi.</span></p><p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Poppins; font-size: medium;">After that, I moved to Mexico and taught for 10 years at the <b>Tecnologico de Monterrey</b>, a university that Newsweek called "the Harvard of Latin America."</span></p><p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Poppins; font-size: medium;">Soon I got involved with the film school (<i><b>Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica</b></i>) in Mexico City, composing music for films that were nominated for <i><b>Arieles</b></i> (Mexico's equivalent of the Oscars), with one of the films I did music for being shown in the <b>Cannes Film Festival</b>.</span></p><p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Poppins; font-size: medium;">Composing music led to small acting roles which bloomed into an acting career.&nbsp;&nbsp;I have appeared on <b>Netflix, Amazon, Disney, Paramount, HBO, Discovery Channel, Lifetime A&amp;E, Telemundo</b>, the most recent <b>Michael Douglas</b> film, and a lot more.</span></p><p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Poppins; font-size: medium;">Along the way, I&nbsp;helped run an <b>artists' workspace</b> in Hattiesburg, Mississippi; sold real estate for 2.5 years; p<span>erformed as a clown in Xcaret for the&nbsp;</span><i>Day Of The Dead</i><span>&nbsp;celebrations in Playa del Carmen, and currently run a microgreens business while teaching at FILMA, the best film school in Cancun...</span></span></p><p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Poppins; font-size: medium;">There are a lot of other things I've done, but the most important and fulfilling adventures so far have been those I've had with my wife, our two beautiful boys, and all the companion animals that have barked and meowed by our sides.</span></p><p><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Poppins; font-size: medium;">The last 13 years I have lived in <b>Playa del Carmen, Mexico</b>.&nbsp; Here we have our lovely off-grid house in the jungle, complete with a private underground cenote.</span></p><p><span style="color: #444444;
