Tip 1. “Take your theme use your own sensibility throughout the dessert table to bring the best features out.”

Tip 2. “Have a height element on the table.”

Tip 3. “Mix & match platter materials with balance: ceramic, glass, wood and white platters.”

Tip 4. “Keep vessels versatile. Fill them with flowers, candy, drinks, or favors.”

Tip 5. “Subtle details make table the table cohesive (i.e. tags, ribbon, papers).”

Tip 6. “Look in your closet for fabric inspiration!”

Tip 7. “Runners dress up the table! Use construction paper, recyclable napkins, think outside the box!”

5. “Bunting is another focal point and it’s very fun and versatile.”

6. “Use 2-3 colors tops, anything more is too many. Pastels are the exception.”

She was so gracious and took the time to “meet & greet” each attendant at her presentation as well as sign everyone’s book and take pictures. Let me tell you, Lili of Swanky Chic Fete and I were starstruck because Amy just came up and started talking with us! FYI we were the first ones there! Only reiterates our groupie status, haha!

Here we are below! Lili is so swanky and chic! We had chatted online before via Facebook and Twitter but it was the first time we “met” in person! So sweet!

I was really excited to also be Live tweeting during Amy’s presentation! I will be posting every tip she gave us next week! For now I will leave you with pictures of her Picnic display! Hope you enjoy!

So Lili was awesome and took a pic with her phone. Although, Lisa of Amy Atlas, stepped in and took another! Which reminds me, I have to email them so they can send it to me!

Below you see the very fun and colorful entrance into the clubhouse! Crazy 8 foot tall balloon structures by Up Up and away Balloon Creations sure had an impact on all the guests! They are so great at what they do!

Of course Mickey and Minnie were there to meet and greet as all the guests arrived!

Then, as the guests turned into the back yard, and this is an effect we coordinated with the birthday boy’s mom, the guests were presented with a burst of color everywhere their eyes went! The Mickey Mouse latex balloons were one the most talked about details of the party! The vibrant colors really captured the children’s attention. It made the party way more fun!

The centerpieces brought for Mickey fun! Who doesnt love Mickey? The bases were cute red buckets with Mickey’s signature buttons!

The candy table had some yummy Mickey Mouse inspired treats, M&M’s, Mickey shaped rice krispies pops, delicious sugar cookies and of course the decadent cake!  Inspiration for treats via Tip Junkie! Our client came inspired with ideas for the treats and she had to have them!

As is tradition now for Aris to have a spectacular cake from local wedding cake designer Edet Okon, here is his piece of art! Divine!

The delicious (trust me I know) cookies were so cute no one wanted to eat them! And then, they tried them and they flew off the table!

It’s not an outdoor party without refreshments and for guests, nothing is better than Aris water! I always enjoy this detail at events!

Along with the candy table sweets, everyone enjoyed some yummy cotton candy! Sometimes it’s the traditional things that bring a smile to a child’s face!

How do you like the Mickey ears? Aren’t they amazingly cute! I  was tempted to put on a pair so I did! But you won’t find a picture of that

Mickey and Minnie were so much fun! They played games with all the kiddos, danced about and sang Happy Birthday afterwards. Houston Character Events is the best group of  animators I’ve worked with here in Houston, and let me tell you my standards are high!

So he left with Mickey and Minnie!

It was such a pleasure to come back for Aris’s second birthday. He is growing so fast and we feel such a part of the family! It is times like these that remind me why I love what I do. The families that we meet and the memories that are made are priceless!

We were so excited to get invited back to help celebrate Aris’s 2nd birthday by his creative mommy Shahreen. Last year, Aris celebrated his very 1st birthday with a carnival! It was such a fun-filled celebration that we will never forget! You can see it here!

This year we found out that Aris loves Mickey Mouse so his mommy knew that was the theme to follow for his 2nd birthday party! and now that Aris was walking, he thoroughly enjoyed running about! Here’s a sneak peek at the celebration, hope you enjoy!

Although Houston weather wasn’t cooperating the day before, mother nature gave us a day perfect for a party! Here’s a look at the Mickey themed moonwalk where the children were bouncing off the walls!

It was fairly windy but the Mickey Mouse balloons were tough!!

A party isn’t a party without cake or balloons, right?!

Of course, all of Mickey Mouse’s friends were there to celebrate Aris!

Then some very special guests arrived to celebrate with Aris and his friends!

Mickey and Minnie!!! The birthday boy was besides himself! He had so much fun, he didn’t want them to leave! How cute is he with his Mickey ears!!

You might remember the carnival party we planned and styled early last year for little Ms. Mia. Well, she has just turned 2 and we were invited back to plan the adventurous shindig!

Dora the Explorer is such a popular and fun character amongst children especially little girly girls!! Well Mia thinks she is an explorer so we created a  party  filled with flowers, adventure and fun just for her!
