I hadn't heard of it until recently but basicly its the story of a modern day attempt in an E39 M5 to match the time taken to get from New York to Los Angeles as set by street racers back in the 80's in what was i'm led to believe the precursor to the original Cannonball :D

Ace Corner is the junction of Beresford Avenue and the old North Circular Road, between the A40 and the A404 (Harrow Road).

Travelling anti-clockwise on the North Circular Road: Take the second exit - signposted for Park Royal - after the traffic lights at Brentfields Road (where you'll see Ikea and McDonalds) . Turn right, then right again onto the old North Circular Road. The Ace is 100 yards on the left.

The show, which some may know as �Dads Day Out�, is a recognised, supercar extravaganza for all to enjoy.Approaching its 7^th*year, The Supercar Event 2013 is already shaping up to beat last year�s ceremonious display of all things motoring and is set to attract a record number of crowds.

Motoring magic aside, many believe that one fantastic reason behind the success of the event is the fact that all revenue is paid directly to The Children�s Trust charity. We can�t think of a better way to donate to charity; enjoying many of the thrilling attractions at the show AND completing a good deed whilst doing so!The Children�s Trust charity is a unique national charity*providing care, education, therapy and rehabilitation to some of the UK�s most severely disabled children. This adds even more validity to The Supercar Event as it helps to bring entertainment to thousands and raise funds to care for those who aren�t as lucky as we are.

This year sees its triumphant return to Dunsfold Park in Surrey where hundreds of supercars and fabulous vehicles across the board will be dotted about but the fun doesn�t stop there! It�s all very well looking at how marvelous a car appears from the outside BUT The Supercar Event puts you INSIDE the cars as well! As part of the interactive events that are taking place at this year�s show, visitors will be given the chance to experience some amazing motor action from behind the wheel. If you fancy a �Ride in a Supercar� you can! Maybe you�re up for a bit of drifting in a Caterham � go ahead, perhaps you�d like to take to sky in a helicopter? Sure! Mini tank rides, hovercraft, paintball, the list is endless for the interactive events, choosing what to do will be the hardest decision you make at this weekend!

To top the already jam-packed show off, Lexus LFA, Ford GT, Pagani Zonda, McLaren MP4, Ferrari 458 Spider are all confirmed cars that will be visiting this year�s show along with plenty of other attractions to make this a great day out for the whole family; sing along with Hannah Dorman, join in with all the fun at the fairground or just relax whilst admiring the mass of supercars on display.

Day 1, too early and too cold at Portsmouth......





At Le Havre......... and i'm thinking the weather is getting better....... i'm wrong !!





Heavy skies threw their worst at us....... but we prevailed :D....... and we saw some nice bridges :thumb:





Mont St. Michel ........... it's not small, it's a long way away :p I shall return on a better day :)

Day 2:-

Off we go to the pink granite coast........... magic roundabout brigade got there first ;)


















Finish day 2 at a lovely hotel in Josselin right on the river next to a castle.... Idyllic :D






Day 3

Starts on a misty morning in Josselin after a lovely continental breakfast :drool5:.....and then into some very dirty cars ;)













Take in some fantastic and deathly quiet roads en route to Loheac motor museum..........can it really be saturday, where is everyone, it's so quiet on the roads :boing:

Can't post all my museum pics or i'll be here all day......but it's incredible, you need to go :D















Then off to Le Mans we go for a ride down the Mulsanne straight and a quick pic of course........





Then we're heading off to the hotel at Saulges, well, it's somewhere in Saulges anyway ;) It's yet another lovely hotel and yes, there is a bit of a theme developing with the hotels as they're all really rather good :D











Sadly, final day :( But still 200 miles to cover and they're not all motorway so still fun to be had :D A little stop Sur Le Plage on the way even though we're nowhere near the coast :)






From the beach we get our final fix of rural French roads and they are some of the best i've ever known :boing: and then onto the motorway for our final leg back to the boat :(















So to sum up, probably the best driving weekend i've ever had so a huge thanks to the PN boys and my fellow tourers for making it such a memorable Tour :thumb:

I went last year and it was brilliant. The biggest car show i've been to and one of the most enjoyable. There's so much to see and do at this one and despite popular belief, it's not reserved only for classics. Providing it can be passed off as a modern classic (that's how i get in).
For anyone thinking of going, it's located at Norman Park in Bromley.
