1. Venus or Mercury in 4th makes the native proficient in music and astrology respectively

1. The bhavas or houses whose lords are in conjunction with the respective karakas become strong.

Luck denotes anything that one gets by “chance”.Few people seems to be born lucky and for few bad luck follows in all their turns.Even if some people are rich they lack luck in their lives in terms of something or they can't have the luck to enjoy the money the earn. In a Horoscope 9th house and its lord indicates Luck.Strength of Lagna or ascendant and the strength of lord of ninth house are the major factors which affect a person's luck. The karaka for 9th house is Jupiter. Placement of benefic planets like Mercury , Venus and Jupiter gives good luck to a person. Placement of exalted plantes in 9th house or if the lord of 9th house is exalted then the person will be blessed with luck, wealth and fortune.

DETAILS ON "KALATHRA BHAVA" ( 7th HOUSE & ITS MATTERS ) FROM PHALADEEPIKA

1. The 5th and 7th houses from the lagna or the Moon be flourished if they are associated with or aspected by benefics or their lords, if it is not so, they will not be fruitful.If there be malefics in the 12th, 4th and 8th houses or if Venus be hemmed in between two malefics or if Venus be associated or aspected by malefics the native will lose his wife (his wife will die).

2. If the lord of the 7th house occupies the 5th, the native will lose his wife or he will become sonless. If the lord of the 5th or the 8th be in the 7th, the wife of the native does not survive. If the weak Moon be in the 5th and the malefics occupy the Ascendant, 7th and 12th houses the person concerned will be without wife and children. If the Sun and Rahu occupy the 7th house, the native will suffer loss of wealth through association with women.

3. The native loses his wife if there are any of the following disposition of planets present at birth:

(a) Venus in Scorpio in the 7th house.

(b) Mercury in Taurus in the 7th house.

(d) Saturn in Pisces in the 7th house.

(e) Mars in Pisces in the 7th house.

However, if Mars and Saturn occupy the 7th house identical with Cancer the native will be blessed with a wife who is beautiful and of good character.

4. The native is deprived of his wife if the 7th house or its lord be associated with or aspected by malefics, hemmed in between malefics, be in his sign of debilition or an inimical sign or be eclipsed by the Sun's rays.

The native will lose his wife or will have a crippled wife, when Venus in conjunction with malefic occupies the 7th, 5th or 9th house.

The native will have illicit relations with other people's wives if Venus be in the Varga of Mars or Saturn or be aspected by these planets.

5. If Mars and Saturn be in the 7th from the Venus and Moon in any nativity, the person concerned will be wifeless and childless.

If there be a hermaphrodite planet in the 7th house, and the 11th house is occupied by two planets, the person concerned will have two wives.

A person will have two wives in the event of both the lord of the 7th and Venus being posited in a dual sign or amsa.

The number of wives should be generally ascertained from the number of planets that are in conjunction with the lord of 7th house and Venus.

6. The native will associate with as many women as is the number of planets posited in the 7th house. The number of women, who will die, will be equal to the number of malefics, and the number of benefics will represent the number of women who will survive.

Should the lord of the 7th house be a benefic endowed will strength, the native will have a wife who will be of good character and will bear children.

Even a malefic if he being lord of 7th be posited in the 7th will bless the native with a good wife.

Benefics in the 7th house will produce good effects unless they happen to be lords of the 6th, 8th or 12th house.

7. Loss of wife will result if the 2nd and 7th houses are associated with or aspected by malefics. The result will invariably be untoward in the case of malefic aspects.

Similar results may be declared from the wife's nativity if the 7th and 8th houses are similarly afflicted.

But should the above two houses be associated with or aspected by benefics, the couple will enjoy good luck and comforts.

8. If in a female's birth chart, the Moon and Saturn be together in the 7th house, the native marries again (after the first marriage).

If there be such a planetary disposition in man's nativity, he will be wifeless or childless.

If malefics in their signs of debilitation be posited in the 2nd, 7th and 8th, in female's nativity the disposition will make her a widow and in a man's chart, it will render him a widower.

9. If the 7th house from the Ascendant be an even sign and the lord of the 7th and Venus be also posited in even signs, and if the lord of the 5th and 7th possessed of strength be not eclisped by Sun's rays, the native will be blessed with wife and children.

10. The native will be happy and will be blessed with wife and children, if the lords of the 2nd, 7th and 12th be posited in kendra or trikona aspected by Jupiter and there be benefics in the 2nd, 7th and 11th to the lord of the 7th wherever he may be.

11. Note the sign and navamsa in male s nativity. The signs in which the lords of the ascendant and 7th are posited, the Janma Rashi (Moon sign) of the wife will be triangular to such sign or navamsa, or it may be the exaltation or depression sign of the lords of the 1st and 7th or it be that sign which contains the largest number of benefic dots in the Moon's Ashtakavarga of the husband.

12. The direction of the country of the wife will be indicated by the sign owned by the strongest of the three planets, namely

(1) the planet posited in the 7th house,

(2) the lord of the 7th house and

(3) Venus.Marriage timing,

The marriage of the native should take place when the Venus or the lord of the 7th transits through a sign which is trine to the sign or navamsa occupied by the lord of the ascendant.

13. The marriage is likely to take place during the dasha of the planet

(1) occupying the 7th house,

(2) which aspects the 7th house or

(3) the lord of the 7th house. It can also take place when the lord of the ascendant transits through the sign representing the 7th house.

14. Find out who amongst

(1) the lord of the sign in which lord of the 7th is posited and the lord of the navamsa which the lord of the 7th occupies and

(2) Venus and Moon, is stronger. The marriage will take place in the dasha of this stronger planet when Jupiter in transit passes through the sign triangular to the sign or navamsa occupied by the lord of the 7th.

15. If the lord of the 7th be posited in his sign of debilitation, be in an inimical sign, be combust or be aspected by a malefic and the 7th house be occupied or aspected by a malefic, there will be loss of wife. So say the men well versed in the science of Astrology.

In Vedic astrology Lagna denotes a person's body or personality while his mind is dented by Moon (Chandra) .According to vedic astrology ,Moon is a benefic planet and gives the best results if strong in the horoscope of an individual.Moon represents mind , emotions, watery diseases, common cold etc.In Vedic astrology Moon has other names likes Chandra, Soma, Sasankh, Vidhu, Indhu, Himanshu etc. An exalted Moon or strongly placed Moon makes a person's mind strong and they will be good at decision making. But if the Moon is afflicted or weak , it will cause mental disturbances to a person , he can't concentrate completely on his work and the person will be fickle minded.

I have already mentioned significance Moon in a Horoscope in my previous posts. Debiliated or weak Moon can even cause depression.

The best method to strengthen the Moon is to recite the Chandra Gayatri Mantra daily or the best time to chant is on Monday evenings.It improves mental health and have magical effects.

CONJUNCTION OF SHORT LIFE

Lalkitab mentions about certain conjunctions which when present in a native's horoscope may result in short life span of the native.

Very many planets surround Jupiter.
Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are present in 9th house.
The enemy planet of Jupiter namely Mercury, Venus and Rahu are in 9th house.
Moon and Rahu conjuction in the 7 and 8 and Mwercury in 9 th house.
If Jupiter in houses 8, 9, 10 or 11 and Mars+Mercury+ Venus are present in 7th house the native's death may occur in his 2nd year.
If Mercury, Venus, Moon are in 5th house, native's life span is upto 2 years.

Note : If there are any other strong combinations in in the horoscope which helps in Longevity the above results can vary.

STRENGTH OF A YOGA

A yoga is formed by more than one planet. The nature of a planet is of three types, vlz., benefic,

malefic and neutral.According to the natural classification benefics are Jupiter, Venus, well-associated Mercury and waxing Moon and malefics are the Sun, Mars,Saturn, evil-associated Mercury and waning Moon.

The benefics or benefic lords are (l) lord of Lagna, (2) lords of the 5th and 9th, and (3) lords of kendras or quadrants, when they are natural malefics.The malefics are (l) the lords of the 3rd, 6th and llth, and (2) lords of kendras when they are natural benefics.

The lords of the 2nd and l2th may be termed neutral because they give good or bad results according to their other conjunctions. The 8th lord is a malefic according to Jathaka Chandrika but for all practical purposes he may be taken as a neutral.

The above can be classified thus :

Benefics : Lord of 1, lords of 5 and 9, and lords of 4,7 and l0 if they are natural malefics.

Malefics : Lords of 3, 6 and 11. Lords of 4,7 and l0 if they are natural benefics.

Neutrals :Lords of 2, 8 and 12.

Of course, the 8th lord is supposed to be evil unless he be the Sun or the Moon. We shall avoid controversies and assume that the 8th lord is a neutral for the purpose of interpreting yogas.

Here an observation has to be made.In the above list of benefics, malefics and neutrals we have completely omitted to take into account the influence due to a double lordship. Thus for Aquarius,Mars owning the l0th-a quadrant-is good.In addition to the lOth he owns the 3rd also which is bad. In other words, Mars a natural malefic becoming a bsnefic lord by virtue of owning a kendra is 'influenced'by his ownership of the 3rd house.

It will be seen that excepting the Sun and the Moon all the other planets own two houses each so that whether a planet is a benefic or malefic can be judged only when both the lordships are taken into account. The nature of a lord is influenced by two factors, viz., (l) the other lordship and {2) association. The other

lordship varies with regard to different ascendants.When Pisces is Lagna, Mars owns the 2nd and 9th

houses while he owns the lst and 8th when Aries is Lagna. Thus the 'Ascendant' is of the utmost importance

while deciding the benefic and malefic lords.We shall now discuss the nature of the different planets.

Sun.-He is benefic as lord of 1,4,7, 10, 5 and 9 which is possible in regard to Leo, Taurus,Aquarius, Scorpio, Aries and Sagittarius. He is neutral as lord of 2, 11 and 8 which is possible for Cancer, Virgo and Capricorn. He is malefic as lord of 3, 6 and I l, which is possible for Gemini, Pisces and Libra.

Moon.-Benefic as lord of l, 5 and 9 which is possible for Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio. Neutral as lord of 2, 12 and 8 which is possible for Gemini, Leo and Sagittarius; and malefic as lord of 3, 6, ll,4,7 and 10 which is possible in regard to Taurus,Aquarius, Virgo, Aries, Capricorn and Libra.

Mars.-He is benefic as a lord of I and 8 (Aries),2 and 7 (Libra), 2 and 9 (Pisces), 3 and 10 (Aquarius),4 and 9 (Leo), 5 and 10 (Cancer), 5 and 12(Sagittarius), and 7 and 12 (Taurus).if you take Sagittarius Mars is benefic as lord of a trine 5 and neutral as lord of 12. But bis trinal lordship is so powerful as to overcome the l2th lordship so that he becomes a benefic.Mars is neutral as lord of I and 6 (Scorpio) and malefic as lord of 3 and 8 (Virgo), 4 and 11 (Capricorn),and 6 and ll (Gemini).

AN INTRODUCTION TO VEDIC ASTROLOGY YOGAS

All planetary combinations may be divided into two broad groups, viz., Yogas and Arishtas. Though by the word yoga is meant a combination, in actual practice yoga is always considered

to imply a fortunate combination. Yogas include success in every line-health, personality, success in politics, financial gains, good education,mental strength, bodily health , good wife, dutiful children, sympathetic friends and relations,righteous conduct and other sources of pleasure and enjoyment which which generally go under the name of fortunes. The Yogas may be Raja yogas (political power),Dhana Yogas (combination for wealth) or Gnana yogas (combinations for real higher knowledge and spirituality).

Arishtas generally deal with misfortunes though they are also included in the generic term Yoga. Arishtas or misfortunes include all sorts and sources of sorrows, worries, miseries, troubles, distractions, bodily and mental disturbances such as ill.health, physical and mental deformities, financial losses, ugly and bad children, quarrelsome wife,hateful relations and friends, evil temper, sinful nature and other unpleasant sources in life which go under the name of evils or misfortunes.

Special Yogas, including what are called Nabhasa yogas, have been dealt with, with suitable illustrations wherever necessary.The difficulty arising when two or more yogas coincide

such as would be the case in respect of say Asraya and Akriti .

SPECIAL EFFECTS OF SUN

If the placement of Sun in Quadrant or Trine in a horoscope, the native will get positive results for his deeds.
If Sun and Moon is in Ascendant of a native, the native will be selfish and greedy.

If shaped, like the feet of a deer, or opening of an oven with hard hair and with raised clitoris, it indicates evil. If the left side of the sexual organ of a woman is raised, she will beget more female children and, if the right side is raised, more boys. If the organ is shaped, like a conch, she will be barren.

Portion below the navel. A soft, spread out and slightly raised Vasti is auspicious. Hairy, veins, showing up and full of lines (folds, or wrinkles) indicates in-auspiciousness.

A navel deep with right turns is productive of good effects. The navel raised, with left turns and with knots is inauspicious.

A stomach well spread indicates a well formed sexual organ and many sons. If the stomach of a woman resembles that of a frog, her son will become a king. If a woman has a raised stomach she will be childless.

If the stomach is wrinkled, she will become an ascetic. If it has circular folds, she will become a maid-servant.

If the portion, covering the ribs, is even, well developed and soft, auspicious effects may be expected. It will be inauspicious, if it is raised, hairy and full of veins.

The chest of a woman, which is even and hairless is auspicious. Wide spread and hairy chest is inauspicious.

The breasts of a woman signify good luck, if they are of equal size, fleshy, round and firm, but close together. They are unlucky, if they are thick in front, are not close together and without flesh. Raised right breast indicates, that she will have sons. Raised left breast indicates, that she will have daughters. If the portion, surrounding the nipples, is round, good-looking and blackish, she will enjoy good luck. Pressed in and unusually small breasts indicate bad luck.

Shoulders. Even, well built up and without joints showing up are Rashis of good luck. Raised, hairy and without flesh are unlucky.

The armpits, if soft, with thin hair, well developed and smooth are auspicious. Those, which are deep, without flesh, perspiring and with veins, showing up are inauspicious.

Arms, in which the bones do not show up and which are soft jointed, hairless without obvious veins, straight and round are auspicious. Those without flesh, hairy, small, with obvious veins and irregular in shape are inauspicious.

If the thumbs of the woman are shaped, like a lotus bud, they are auspicious. If they are without flesh and irregular in shape, they are inauspicious.

If the palms of the woman are pink-coloured, raised in the middle, with fingers close together (with no holes between them), soft and have very few lines, she enjoys happiness and all comforts. If the palms are full of lines, she will become a widow. If there are no lines, she will be poverty-stricken. If the veins show up in the palms, she will live on alms.

If the backs of the hands of a woman are well built, soft and hairless, she will enjoy auspicious effects. It will be otherwise, if the backs of the hands are with veins, showing up, deep and hairy.

Lines on the palm. A woman enjoys happiness and all comforts, if there is a clearly marked, pink-coloured, circular, smooth, full and deep line (perhaps line of life is meant). If there is mark of a fish, she will be very lucky. She will be wealthy with mark of Swastika. She will be a queen with mark of a lotus. She will be the mother of a king, if she has marks of conch, umbrella and tortoise.

The woman, who has lines, forming the shapes of a balance, elephant, bull, or horse, becomes the wife of a businessman. The woman, who has lines, forming the shape of a house, or Vajra is lucky and gives birth to a son, who becomes learned in Shastras. The woman, who has lines, forming the shapes of a chariot, a plough, or a yoke, becomes the wife of a farmer. If the fingers of a woman are tender with good-looking phalanges, tapering at the end and without hair,they are considered auspicious. If they are very small, without flesh, irregular, widely spaced, with hairand with more than usual phalanges, or without phalanges, they indicate misery.

If the nails of the fingers are pink-coloured, raised and shaped well at the top, they are auspicious. Depressed, dirty-looking, or yellow, or white-coloured nails, or nails with spots are inauspicious.

If the back of the woman is fleshy and well developed with flesh, it is auspicious. The back with hair, irregular in built and with veins showing up is inauspicious.

The neck of a woman with three lines (folds), with bones not obvious, round, well developed and tender is auspicious. A thick necked woman becomes a widow. An irregularly built neck indicates, that the woman concerned will become a maid-servant. Flat necked woman will be barren. A woman with a small neck is childless.

A straight, well developed, somewhat raised throat is auspicious. One without flesh, with veins obvious, with hair and irregular in built is inauspicious.

Pink-coloured, tender and firm chin is auspicious. A broad chin with hair and clefts is unlucky.

Raised, firm and round cheeks are auspicious. The ones, which are hard-skinned, depressed and without flesh are indicative of misfortune.

If the mouth of a woman is of normal size, firm, round, emitting fragrance, smooth and good-looking, it is indicative of good luck. If otherwise, it will be inauspicious.

If the lower lip of a woman is red, like a lotus, smooth, divided in the middle and good looking, she becomesa queen. If it be without flesh, coarse, long, dry and blackish, it is indicative of misery and widowhood. If the upper lip of a woman is pink-coloured, smooth and slightly raised in the middle, it is indicative of happiness and good fortune. If otherwise, it will be inauspicious.

A woman, whose teeth are smooth, milk white, 32 in number and whose upper and lower teeth, though equal in size, are slightly raised, will be lucky. If lower teeth are more in number, are yellow, or black-coloured, fierce looking, widely spaced and double, they are indicative of misfortune.

If the tongue of a woman is red and soft, she enjoys great happiness and comforts. Caved in the middle and spread out in front indicates misery. White tongue indicates death in water. Dark tongue indicates quarrelsome nature. Thick tongue denotes poverty. Long tongue denotes one, who is omnivorous. Long and broad tongue denotes lunacy.

Palate red, like lotus, soft and smooth - good luck, white - widowhood, yellow - asceticism, black - barrenness, dry - large family.

When a woman laughs, if her cheeks are raised and teeth are not visible, she will be lucky. If it is otherwise, she will not be lucky.

If the nose of a woman is evenly round and has small nostrils, it is auspicious. If the nose is thick in its front part and flat in the middle, it is inauspicious. Black pupils with cow’s milk like white portion of the eye, large and broad, smooth, with black eyelashes are lucky Rashis. Raised eyes show short life. Round eyes denote loose moral character. Honey-coloured eyes indicate good fortune and happiness. The eyes, like those of a pigeon, indicate wickedness. Eyes, like those ofan elephant, indicate misery. If the left eye is blind, adulterous tendency will manifest. Blindness of the right eye indicates barrenness.

A woman with soft, black, compact eyelashes with thin hair is fortunate. Eyelashes thick, scattered and with tawny-coloured hair indicate misery.

If the eyebrows of a woman are round, shaped, like a bow, smooth, black, not joined and with soft hair, she is blessed with happiness and fame.

A Yoga for imprisonment is formed when

1) Rahu aspects or occupies the 12^th house or if he aspects lord of the 12th or be associated with him, and lord of the 12th be weak. The 12th house signifies Imprisonment and Rahu is Karaka for imprisonment. As the Lagna represents the body, the yoga would be strong if Lagna is also involved in it.

2)According to Brihat jataka If at a Person's birth, all the malefics are in the 12th, 5th, 2nd and 9th, the man is imprisoned .

3)According to Jataka Tatwa -

(1) If malefics occupy the 12th, 5th, 9th and 2nd, the person will be imprisoned (This is the same Yoga as given by Brihat Jataka).

(2) If in the following pair of houses (i) 2nd and 12th,(ii) 5th and 9th (iii) 6th and 12th, (iv) 3rd and tlth and(v) 4th and 10th, there are equal number of planets, the person concerned will suffer imprisonment.

(3) If the lords of the 1st and 6th houses be conjoined with Saturn in a trine or Kendra, the person concerned will suffer imprisonment.

The weakness of Saturn denotes the extent of suffering in our life. More the weakness of Saturn more would be the suffering in ascending order. 12th house is the house for imprisonment or confinement in hospital. More the affliction or weakness to the 12th house, the lengthier would be the period of confinement (Imprisonment / hospitalization). Following are a few planetary combinations for leading to confinement in Imprisonment as under trial or through prolonged hospitalization.

Saturn,Mars,Rahu and their combination either through aspects or conjunction;

A detailed description of Gulika has given in the post A Study On Gulika . But missed the topic Gulika Bhavanadipa dosha and hence this post. I have read a lot about Kendrathipathi Dosha in Vedic astrology but not about Gulika Bhavanadipa dosha.I would like to share a brief idea on Gulika Bhavanadipa dosha here.

Gulika spoils the benefic results of the houses by occupying them,the house which it aspects, the planets conjoined with it and the lord of the house it occupies. The lord of the house occupied by Gulika is called Gulika Bhavanadhipa and because of the presence of Gulika in that particular house, Gulika bhavanadhipa is considered as malefic and causes Gulika Bhavanadipa dosha.

The malefic effects of Gulika will get reduced only by the aspect of Jupiter and by the conjuction of Jupiter.In addition to its aspect on 7th house, Jupiter possess special aspects on 5th and 9th house with full strength . It doesn't means that there will be no adverse effects but aspect and conjunction of Jupiter can reduce the malefic effects to a great extend. Gulika Bhavanadipa dosha will no longer exist in rashis Dhanu (Sagittarius) and Meena ( Piseces) as they are ruled by Jupiter.

This historic hymn starts at the beginning of the duel between Rāma and Rāvana. Agastya teaches Rāma, who is fatigued after the long battle with various warriors of Lankā, the procedure of worshiping the Sun God for strength to defeat the enemy. Aditya refers to the Sun. Hridayam is the Sanskrit word for heart.

Oh Rama, mighty-armed Rama, listen to this eternal secret, which will help you destroy all your enemies in battle

Aaditya hrudayam punyam sarva shatru vinaashanam Jayaavaham japennityam akshayyam paramam shivam. 4

This holy hymn dedicated to the Sun deity will result in destroying all enemies and bring you victory and never ending supreme bliss.

Sarvamangalamaangalyam sarvapaapapranaashanam. Chintaashokaprashamanam aayurvardhanamuttama. 5

This hymn is supreme and is a guarantee of complete prosperity and is the destroyer of sin, anxiety, anguish and is the bestower of longevity.

Rashmimantam samudyantam devaasuranamaskrutam. Puujayasva vivasvantam bhaaskaram bhuvaneshvaram. 6

Worship the One, possessed of rays when he has completely risen, held in reverence by the devas and asuras, and who is the Lord of the universe by whose efflugence all else brighten.

Sarvadevaatmako hyeshha tejasvii rashmibhaavanah.Eshha devaasuraganaa.nllokaan paati gabhastibh. 7

He indeed represent the totality of all celestial beings. He is self-luminous and sustains all with his rays. He nourishes and energizes the inhabitants of all the worlds and the race of Devas and Asuras.

Eshhah brahmaa cha vishhnushcha shivah skandah prajaapati. Mahendro dhanadah kaalo yamah somo hyapaam pati. 8

He is Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Skanda, Prajapati. He is also Mahendra, kubera, kala, yama, soma and varuna.

Pitaro vasavah saadhyaa hyashvinau maruto manuh.Vaayurvahnih prajaapraana ritukartaa prabhaakarah. 9

He is the pitrs, vasus, sadhyas, aswini devas, maruts, manu, vayu, agni, prana and, being the source of all energy and light, is the maker of all the six seasons.

Aadityah savitaa suuryah khagah puushhaa gabhastimaan. Suvarnasadrsho bhaanu rvishvaretaa divaakarah. 10

He is the son of Aditi, creator of the universe, inspirer of action, transverser of the heavens. He is the sustainer, illumination of all directions, the golden hued brilliance and is the maker of the day.

Haridashvah sahasraarchih saptasaptirmariichimaan. Timironmathanah shambhustvashhtaa maartandam anshumaan. 11

He is the Omnipresent One who pervades all with countless rays. He is the power behind the seven sense organs, the dispeller of darkness, bestower of happiness and prosperity, the remover of misfortunes and is the infuser of life.

Hiranyagarbhah shishirastapano bhaaskaro ravihi Agnigarbhoaditeh putrah shankha shishiranaashanah. 12

He is the primordial being manifesting as the Trinity. He ushers in the Day and is the teacher (of Hiranyagarbha), the fire-wombed, the son of Aditi, and has a vast and supreme felicity. He is the remover of intellectual dull-headedness.

Vyomanaatha stamobhedii rig yajuh saama paaragah. Ghana vrishhti rapaam mitro vindhya viithii plavangama... 13

He is the Lord of the firmament, dispeller of darkness. Master of all the vedas, he is a friend of the waters and causes rain. HE has crossed the vindya range and sports in the Brahma Nadi.

Aatapii mandalii mrityuh pingalah sarvataapanah. Kavirvishvo mahaatejaa raktah ssarva bhavod hbhava. 14

He, whose form is circular and is colored yellow, is intensely absorbed and inflicts death. He is the destroyer of all and is the Omniscient one being exceedingly energetic sustains the universe and all action.

Nakshatra grahataaraanaam adhipo vishva bhaavanah. Tejasaamapi tejasvii dvaadashaatman namostute 15

He is the lord of stars, planets and all constellations. He is the origin of everything in the universe and is the cause of the lustre of even the brilliant ones. Salutations to Thee who is the One being manifest in the twelve forms of the Sun.

Namah puurvaaya giraye pashchimaayaadraye namah. Jyotirganaanaam pataye dinadhipataye nama. 16

Salutations to the Eastern and western mountain, Salutations to the Lord of the stellar bodies and the Lord of the Day.

Jayaaya jayabhadraaya haryashvaaya namo namah. Namo namah sahasraansha aadityaaya namo nama. 17

Salutations to the One who ordains victory and the prosperity that follows. Salutations to the one possessed of yellow steeds and to the thousand rayed Lord, and to Aditya.

Namah ugraaya viiraaya saarangaaya namo namah. Namah padma prabodhaaya maartandaaya namo nama. 18

Salutations to the Terrible one, the hero, the one that travels fast. Salutations to the one whose emergence makes the lotus blossom and to the fierce and omnipotent one.

Brahmeshaana achyuteshaaya suuryaayaadityavarchase. Bhaasvate sarvabhakshaaya raudraaya vapushhe nama. 19

Salutations to the Lord of Brahma, shiva and Achyuta, salutations to the powerful and to the effulgence in the Sun that is both the illuminator and devourer of all and is of a form that is fierce like Rudra.

Tamoghnaaya himagnaaya shatrughnaaya amitaatmane. Kritaghnaghnaaya devaaya jyotishhaam pataye nama. 20

Salutations to he transcendental atman that dispels darkness, drives away all fear, and destroys all foes. Salutations also to the annihilator of the ungrateful and to the Lord of all the stellar bodies.

Tapta chaamiika raabhaaya haraye vishvakarmane. Namastamo.abhinighnaaya ravaye lokasaakshine 21

Salutations to the Lord shining like molten gold, to the transcendental fire, the fire of supreme knowledge, the architect of the universe, destroyer of darkness and salutations again to the effulgence that is the Cosmic witness.

Naashayatyeshha vai bhuutam tadeva srijati prabhuuH. Paayatyeshha tapatyeshha varshhatyeshha gabhastibhi. 22

Salutations to the Lord who destroys everything and creates them again. Salutations to Him who by His rays consumes the waters, heats them up and sends them down as rain.

Eshha supteshhu jaagarti bhuuteshhu parinishhthitah. Eshha evaagnihotramcha phalam chaivaagnihotrinaam. 23

Salutations to the Lord who abides in the heart of all beings keeping awake when they are asleep. He is both the sacrificial fire and the fruit enjoyed by the worshippers.

Vedaashcha kratavashchaiva kratuunaam phalameva cha. Yaani krityaani lokeshhu sarva eshha ravih prabhu. 24

The Sun is verily the Lord of all action in this universe. He is verily the vedas, the sacrifices mentioned in them and the fruits obtained by performing the sacrifices.

Phala stuti

Enamaapatsu krichchhreshhu kaantaareshhu bhayeshhu cha.kiirttayanh purushhah kashchin naavasiidati raaghav. 25

Raghava, one who recites this hymn in times of danger, during an affliction or when lost in the wilderness and having fear, he will not lose heart (and become brave).

Puujayasvainamekaagro devadevam jagathpatimh. Etat.h trigunitam japtvaa yuddheshhu vijayishhyas. 26

Raghava, worship this Lord of all Gods and the Universe with one-pointed devotion. Recite this hymn thrice and you will win this battle.

Asminkshane mahaabaaho raavanam tvam vadhishhyasi. Evamuktavaa tadaa.agastyo jagaama cha yathaagatam. 27

O mighty armed one, you shall truimph over Ravana this very moment. Having spoken this, Agastya returned his original place. Raghava became free from worry after hearing this.

Etachchhritvaa mahaatejaa nashhtashoko abhavattadaa. Dhaarayaamaasa supriito raaghavah prayataatmavaan. 28

He was greatly pleased and became brave and energetic.

Aaadityam prekshya japtvaa tu param harshhamavaaptavaanh. Triraachamya shuchirbhuutvaa dhanuraadaaya viiryavaan. 29

Gazing at the sun with devotion, He recited this hymn thrice and experienced bliss.

Rraavanam prekshya hrushhtaatmaa yuddhaaya samupaagamath. Sarva yatnena mahataa vadhe tasya dhritoabhavat. 30

Purifying Himself by sipping water thrice, He took up His bow with His mighty arms. Seeing Ravana coming to fight, He put forth all his effort with a determination to destroy Ravana.

Atha ravi ravadanam nirikshyam raama Muditamanaah paramam prahrishhyamaanah. Nishicharapatisa nkshayam viditvaa Suragan amadhyagato vachastvaret. 31

Osteoporosis is a progressive bone disease that is characterized by a decrease in bone mass and density which can lead to an increased risk of fracture. In osteoporosis, the bone mineral density (BMD) is reduced, bone micro architecture deteriorates, and the amount and variety of proteins in bone are altered.The disease may be classified as primary type 1, primary type 2, or secondary. The form of osteoporosis most common in women after menopause is referred to as primary type 1 or postmenopausal osteoporosis. Primary type 2 osteoporosis occurs after age 75 and is seen in both females and males at a ratio of 2:1. Secondary osteoporosis may arise at any age and affect men and women equally. This form results from chronic predisposing medical problems or disease, or prolonged use of medications such as glucocorticoids, when the disease is called steroid- or glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis.Bones that are affected by osteoporosis can break with relatively minor injury that normally would not cause a bone to fracture. The fracture can be either in the form of cracking or collapsing . The spine, hips, ribs, and wrists are common areas of bone fractures from osteoporosis although osteoporosis-related fractures can occur in almost any skeletal bone.

ASTROLOGY OF OSTEOPOROSIS

Sun and Saturn are the main significators of bones , but in contrast their planetary characteristics are different - Sun being a fiery planet and saturn airy planet.So if there is a connection between Sun and Saturn either by conjuction or by aspect or if Sun is placed in any of the zodiac / rashi ruled by Saturn ( Capricorn / Makara and Aquaris / Kumbha ) then weakness of bones is indicated. Weakness is also indicated to teeth , hair and nails.
Capricorn / Makara rashi ( owned by Saturn ) is the significator of bone structure, so if it is afflicted by Sun , Saturn or Rahu or there is a Papa Kartari yoga ( hemmed between malefics ) to Capricorn / Makara rashi then there are chances for osteoporosis.
Leo / Simha / Chingam Rashi ( owned by the Sun) as it rules spine and circulation. If afflicted, may cause weak movements of joints which may gradually lead to osteoporosis
Rahu can also causes weakness in bone as it rules knees.
If lord of 6th house is associated with Sun, bone weakness is indicated.
Affliction to Jupiter or Sagittarius indicate low bone density.

If Sun posited in dusthanas (ie 6th / 8th / 12th house), debilited, conjoined or aspected by malefic then it indicates bone weakness.
