Addictions

God has designed each of us to be transformed into His image. This is the essence of His original intent for all mankind. 1 Corinthians 6:20 says that we have been bought with a price and are to glorify God in our bodies. The Bible also teaches that we are predestined to conform to Christ's image (Rom. 8:29).

Many kinds of addictions!

• Drugs – street or prescription drugs, and Alcohol because alcohol is a drug; the most addictive prescriptive drug is antihistamines. The withdrawal can be as severe as you can imagine.

• Inordinate affection – there is a sole tie that is not godly. Females will become co-dependent with each other, situational homosexuality. You find that in prisons. It does not have to be sexuality, but it involves ungodly bonding to members of the same sex. The roots are still the same. Needing affection from another person instead of God. Soul Ties!

• Homosexuality is a sexual expression of dependence upon another person for significance and value. They have inordinate affection for each other. It is the need for love instead of God. They don't believe God loves them. It is also motivated by an inability to resolve emotional difficulties, which leads to addictive relational and sexual patterns.

• Molestation

• Pornography

• Nicotine from cigarettes. The nicotine in cigarettes is hazardous to the mobile home you live in. Cigarette spiritually to a person. It has nothing to do with nicotine whatsoever. It is what hits the lips for nurturing. When a baby kitty is taken away too early, it will continuously try to knead on you. It wants milk from you. Because it was taken from its mother too soon. It needs love. Nurturing the need to be loved. Sucking reflex from eating and smoking.

• Addiction to soap operas, etc.

• Gambling

• Food addictions – if you have an alcoholic addiction, you can change your addiction to carbohydrates and sugar because both of these convert to alcohol in your body to feed your addiction.

Anything that you cannot lay down by an act of your will means you are addicted. Anything that controls you and rules you is your master. The Lord is not your master, the father is not your master. Something in physical creation is your lord. Master of, ruler of, etc.

You try to take it away from them, like a kid with a piece of candy. When you try to take it away, they go into a temper tantrum because something from within controls them.

This kingdom uses many mechanisms. The enemy knows how to control you out of your need.

What is behind addiction? The need to be loved. Takes you into a world of finding love in all the wrong places. And that place can include a chemical. How does the enemy know how to bind you to this level.

3 classes of addiction in scripture. They are all talked about in Galatians.

1. Galatians 3:1-3 1O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

3 Are ye so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
The first thing that happens is spiritual bewitchment. You shall love god, your neighbor, and yourself. Upon this, all of the law and prophets hang. Addiction is rooted in the need to be loved. If you were to complete the gospel, receive the love for yourself, accept who you are once and for all, have love for others, and be complete, you would never need love in all the wrong places. Your enemy knows that if he can get in a place loved by god, love yourself or others, he can get you to look outside for something that will be a fix.

When you don’t love yourself or accept who you are, the first thing in your body chemistry is a dip in serotonin levels. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter released from the nervous system out of the dendrites of the basal ganglia, which is part of your brain stem. Your enemy knows through the mind/body connection between the cerebral cortex and hypothalamus that if you start stewing in your juices about god, yourself, and others and don’t feel love, he can make serotonin levels, what he does through the hypothalamus, causes the pineal gland that regulates serotonin levels in the body to trigger the under the production of serotonin levels.

When you have serotonin level deficiency, you not only don’t feel right in the area of acceptance and love spiritually, you don’t feel that way in your psyche or in your soul or emotions, and now you think goofy in your physio. Now you are in trouble.

If you take your peace with God, self, and others, the hypothalamus will recognize your fulfillment and signal your pineal gland to release serotonin values. Your spirit, soul, and body will become balanced again, and you will feel complete.

Jesus said peace is given unto you but not as the world gives …

When we find addictions, we see a person who is separated from god, themselves, and separated from others every single time. If you find somebody who is struggling with any type of addiction, you know or will know in the future, you know their or your battleground. You have been spiritually bewitched from the simplicity of the gospel.

Your enemy knows your biology better than most of your pastors. The enemy knows that if he can get you stewing in this stuff, he can make your serotonin levels drop or become deficient. There is no way you can get them back up unless you take a drug because you are in a chemical imbalance. So the sorcerer, your friendly drugstore pharmacist, knows from the study of pharmacology that he can give you a serotonin drug enhancer to make you feel good.

Still, now you are addicted to the enhancer. That is a false peace. As long as you take the drug, you may feel better about yourself, but you still have an unloving and unclean spirit that is part of your nature, and even on the drug, you still don’t feel satisfied but just more tormented.

Your enemy also knows that if he can create an altered state of consciousness, he can release various chemicals, too. Your enemy knows that since he has now produced a chemical imbalance in your body because of an unloving spirit, he now wants to be your solution. First, he causes the problem; you don’t know what is happening. He knows what is going on.

He will engineer thoughts that you will take steps to enter into various arenas to go after fulfillment. In some instances, it could be pornography. The root is not lust. It is the need to be loved. Lust is not the strongman in pornography. Lust fuels dopamine. Doplamines is another neurotransmitter called “feel good”. The pleasure neurotransmitter. To compensate biologically for the spiritual deficiency, the person must get a rush.

Example: Drug that operates on that principle. Cocaine is not chemically addictive. Cocaine, according to the secular world, is psychologically addictive. In cocaine, the person does not like themselves; their serotonins are down, and they desperately need to be loved. Wherever they go is not enough, and they are never satisfied.

Somebody introduces them to cocaine. The pharmaceutical for cocaine is to release dopamine. Cocaine is released dopamine, all of it. The first hit of cocaine releases all the dopamine in the body that there is in one big rush. Dopamine is what is released in an orgasm. A proper relationship is the physical release in that relationship at that level.

Someone takes cocaine, and they have what is equivalent to a spiritual and emotional relationship. The rush returns to real life and bumps into not feeling loved because that didn’t go away. No chemical rush is happening, and we are now drawn to fulfillment. They find a dealer and get more cocaine. They take the next hit of cocaine and are ready for that fulfillment and come into a rude surprise because they didn’t get a rush at all.

They remember what the first one did. Why don’t they get a rush again? Because god puts checks and balances on promiscuity. The body manufactures all the other neurotransmitters relatively quickly except for dopamine. If dopamine is entirely released from the body, it takes 2 years to return to total value in the body. If it is never rereleased. That person goes from one hit to the next hit and never again achieves that release. They remember it. That is why it is called a psychologically addictive drug.

An altered state of consciousness defies what creation is all about! If he had created you to smoke, he would have made you that way.

The enemy gives you chemicals to alter the state of consciousness into chemical peace. It is not the peace that Jesus gives because Jesus said this Peace I present to you but not as the world gives to you.

The need to be loved is built in us from creation. The ability to give and receive love is part of our creation. Because of our breakdown from our families and cities, nations that we have not loved our children, husbands, and wives, we have brutally loved each other, and the animal kingdom has done much better than we have. We now have the rage of rejection, bitterness, of not being loved.

Spiritual bewitchment says that god does not love you, you don’t love yourself, and no one loves you either. When you buy that lie because of the sins of others around you, you have been bewitched and need a fix.

Getting away from your nurturing would be difficult if you don’t feel loved. You can give up on one, but there is cross-addiction. You will give up on one, and your addiction will turn into something else.

What is spiritual bewitchment? You are listening to a lie that you are not loved or belong on this planet, that you don’t love yourself, and that others don’t love you. It is their loss if they don’t love you because the Lord loves you, is your creator, and knew you before you were born. You don’t have to carry somebody else's sin because they don’t love you for you to go into addictions for your destruction.

Galatians 5:19 – 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest (you can see it), which are these: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

A Christian who allows these things to continue without a conscience or conviction. Witchcraft is actually a legal drug. The other drunkness is illegal drugs.

3rd cause of death in this country is death from prescription drugs. Side effects and adverse reactions. Death from illegal drugs does not make the top 10.

Regarding diet. Did you know weight all depends on how much you like yourself? The more you don’t like yourself, the more you have a weight problem because your metabolism slows down when you don’t like yourself. The more you like yourself, the more your rate of metabolism increases (the rate of burn). It does not matter what you eat, you won’t lose it).

Prozak is the first legal, illegal drug. It is an antihistamine. It is the chemical equivalent of epoxy. They are identical. It is an upper. If you don’t feel good about yourself, go take your upper.

Side effect – it creates anxiety disorders. Second, loss of libido. You alone choose your freedom or your bondage.

Addiction: when you come off those drugs, you won’t die even though the withdrawal is horrible, but if you stay on the drugs, you will die. That Is spiritual bewitchment. That’s all because your body has become the lord.

Do you know how you get rid of bad habits? You make new ones. Sometimes, fasting is a beautiful way to subdue the flesh.

Proverbs 20:1

Addictions to hide your pain.

Prov. 31:1 - 1 The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.
2 What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?
3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
What is side effects about strong drink. Will not administer justice on the earth.

If you have inherited alcoholism you are in trouble. The person that cannot handle alchol is that they have addictive behavior and are really have allergies. Root of allergies is fear. ! John 4:18 – made not perfect in love.

Allergies a broken heart and a spirit of fear.

The kingdom behind the invisible produces addictions.

Luke 11:21 when a strongman armed his goods are in peace. This means strong and armed individuals who control their house or palace. His good is protected. This is about satan’s control over humans by a kingdom. The palace is a human being. The strongman is the principality, the unloving spirit that controls a human being's life. But answering to this principality of an unloving spirit from 10 to 2,000 other spirits reinforcing its power in their life. We cannot remove the strongman but must remove all the things that give him power. You cannot remove bitterness until you remove unforgiveness because unforgiveness gives it power, etc.

The strongman's power cannot be removed by trusting that the power structure is intact. God wants it removed. Jesus is teaching the reality of evil spirits in humans.

Jesus didn’t say you needed inner healing; he said to abide by the finger of god to cast out devils…..

Inner healing does not allow casting out demons in a person’s life. Most inner healing models are co-habitation with the enemy. It is called psychotherapy. You know what psychotherapy is: identify the ancestral darkness of your past, come into agreement with it, look at it, and understand it so that you can have a better life with it. That is cohabitation with the enemy. That is classic union psychotherapy. Psychotherapy – is herracy as far as the word of god is concerned. What the Lord sets free is free indeed. Remove it and don’t cohabitate with it, but destroy it out of your life.

The Archetypes and dark shadows

However, casting out an evil spirit can have unintended consequences, as the spirit may return with even greater force, bringing seven more spirits to torment the individual.

This phenomenon highlights the complex and interconnected nature of spiritual energies and the challenges of dealing with malevolent forces.

When an evil spirit is cast out, it may wander through a dry place, seeking rest and finding none, leading to its eventual return to the original host.

Understanding the Fear of Evil

Fear of evil and malevolent entities can have profound psychological and spiritual implications, shaping individuals' beliefs, behaviors, and perceptions.

Hierarchy in spiritual realms is crucial in the dynamics between good and evil forces.

Believing that evil is more significant than good can lead to a distorted worldview where fear and negativity dominate one's consciousness. The biblical passage Job 3 serves as a cautionary tale about the consequences of fearing evil and the potential for such fears to manifest in reality. 21"When a strong, fully armed man guards his house, his possessions are safe.

22 "But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up the spoils."

In unraveling addiction, we have to dismantle the addiction armor that gives that strongman the power to rule. That strongman is the unloving and unclean spirit. It is an unloving and unclean spirit that will not allow you to accept God’s love, that will not let you be at peace with yourself on this planet in the new birth. And will not let you give or receive love from others. What feeds that has to be dismantled. It isn’t just a matter of conversion.

It is a matter of restructuring our entire spiritual personality by removing the armor that has become part of our lives spiritually and psychologically.

Addiction, craving, craving drawing to what you are addicted to. Your body is about to pitch a fit, and then your body has a desire; forgetfulness is a characteristic. Many of the drugs destroy your brain cells? Cloudy thinking, substitution for surgery-based products for actual alcoholic drinks. Refusal to face reality. People who are in denial won’t Face their problems because they are highly addictive or addiction-prone.

God wants you to face every issue of your life. Refusal to accept responsibility. Craving for sugar. Some of the diseases are hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia. Bear belly, excessive weight. Predisposition to fornication. That is improper sexual relationships before marriage.
23 "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters.
24 "When an evil[h] spirit emerges from a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' 25 When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. 26 Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first."

Pornography and sexual addiction have to have a dopamine rush.

90% are male, and 50% are females who have sexual addictions

Pornography, 100% in masturbation, is adultery (the power of the man’s body belongs to the wife or vice versa. If you give to another thing, it is sexual adultery because something else has power over your body) or fornication. In masturbation, there is an orgasm that releases dopamine.

It is not just a sin issue. It is a root issue that produces sin.

Fornication and incest -

What is behind the molestation? It is more than just sin. It is an addiction. The need to be loved. No outlet. Being unfulfilled. The driving force

Personal lust gratification – it is not lust but the need to be loved. The desire gives the picture to create the drive. To make the adrenaline rush.

Dopamine. It's the same as cocaine. The need for a chemical covering is a bad exchange for the need for peace.

Dependency – highly dependent on others.

Poverty comes with it. Rejection, full of shame, childish. Sometimes, in a male-female alcoholic profile, the relationship is like a mother and a son. Running away from home for periods, going out, getting drunk, disappearing in binges, and avoiding reality includes repentance (I will never do it again) that only produces more guilt.

Pouting is a form of control and abuse. The silent treatment is a form of emotional abuse. Fits of rage, fear of man, fear of rejection, self-hatred, hatred of men, women, children, hatred of insecurity. Multiple fears. Jealousy, verbal, emotional, sexual abuse, physical abuse, chronic abuse from the spouse that is a victim. Insanity, guilt, worthlessness, low self-esteem, shame, blame, insecurity in the spouse and the children.

Sickness and disease in the spouse and the children. Insanity and depression in the spouse and the children. A critical spirit, criticism controlling another, being hard on the family, and being cruel to the family. Difficulty showing love. Hard, never allowing the spouse to have joy in anything. Snearing rejecting what another has done.

The victims are rejected, withdrawn, depressed, sickness exhaustion, overweight, self-hatred, loneliness, mental confusion, hopelessness, shame, anger, fear of suicide, and death.

The alcoholic is more denial, more cruelty, more hardness, more pride, more self-guilt, arrogance, self-hatred, more shame, more shelf pity, more suicide. Many addictions are inherited in the family tree.

This is the armor of Luke 11. This is the stuff that the strongman of addiction is counting on to keep in place in the person’s life so you cannot overthrow him, and he controls him in the need for love.

To remove armor, you begin to show God’s love, to bring the person to a place to accept or be relieved that they are loved. That is the first principle. Perfect love casts out fear. Acceptance, esteem.

Alchologic, the child is born with a defective chemistry base in the basal ganglia. It is spiritual but is reinforced from a biological standpoint. In the basal ganglia, there are four basic categories of neurotransmitters. One of them is defective genetically at birth.

Science has said this about an alcoholic Child being born with a defective chemistry model in the basal ganglia. Alcohol is a drug. It goes right to the brain. That is the pathway. It passes through the basal ganglia. Chemical units with defective chemicals in the basal ganglia produce a chemical reaction that produces another chemical reality in the basal ganglia called THIQ.

THIQ has now been formed in the addictive personality. The mechanism of THIQ is to produce a biological craving for alcohol.

You not only have the spiritual, but now you have the biological. In ministry, in al., in the gift of miracles, we command the basal ganglia to become normalized. Break the inherited patterns of unloving spirits, and we speak directly into the genetic pattern. We control that defective chemistry and that new chemical THIQ to be eradicated from the work of the Holy Spirit.

We pronounce in the name of the Lord Jesus that the basel gangla be reformed and conformed to the way it should have been from the foundation of the world in the name of Jesus Christ.

You could have been conceived in drunkenness out of wedlock because of alcohol inherited alcoholic patterns in childhood. Alcohol and drugs help to hide inferiorities, insecurities, and rejection.

Armor: Inherited characteristic. Iniquities and whoredoms in the family tree that need to be dealt with. The co-dependency that goes with it is a form of victimization.

Co-dependency is calling evil good in the name of love. Behind the scenes, you have cruelty, rage, verbal abuse, retaliation, self-hatred, violence, slander, malice, gossip, sleeplessness, nervous stomach, nervousness, headaches, red eyes, physical illness, poor eating habits, nervous breakdowns, cirrhosis of the liver, anxiety, fear of being rejected, paranoya, fear of failure, resentment, fear of being unwanted, guilt, insecurity, self-hatred, intimidation, hopelessness, hatred of others, inability to give or receive love freely, 1 John 4:18. Impairment of decisions, shame, condemnation, depression, failure to communicate, slow thinking, feelings of worthlessness, despair, sorrow, emptiness, no hope, jealousy, madness, sadness, torment. These are just a tiny area of the armor that needs to be stripped to produce freedom.

Accepting my sonship.

Learning to love God and to receive God and that I am okay and that I am love. The ability to give and receive love keeps me and preserves me in my marriage. Saves me from pornography, keeps me from adultery, and keeps me safe, and I don’t even have to think about it.

What is Addictions

Addiction Definition: Anything that you cannot lay down by an act of your will is an addiction.
What controls you rules you! It has become your Lord - - something within you controls you.
You can be addicted to anything – soap operas, gambling, relationships.

Satan’s Kingdom used many devices to control us with our needs. If you are a relationship because of a need it is addictive and ungodly. The LORD is well able to be your husband and is only willing to share you with others properly!

How do you determine if a relationship is addictive? If attitudes or thoughts come up inside you of envy, jealousy, anger, or control when that person talks with someone else, you are in an addictive relationship.

The force behind addictions is the NEED TO BE LOVED!! And it can take you into a place where you can find love in all the wrong places and wrong ways, such as through a chemical.

The scripture teaches us 3 classes of addictions ~ Galatians 3: 1-3

O Foolish Galatians, who hath bewitch you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? Spiritual Bewitchment is when we have believed a lie and moved away from the simple truth of the gospel Matthew 22:37-39

You shall love the Lord thy God with all of thy heart and thy soul and thy might and you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Upon this all of the law and the prophets hang.

The foundation of love is breached, and an addiction is the result, bringing separation from God, self, and others.

When we allow the enemy to get us to a place where we don’t accept who we are in the new birth by adoption in the Kingdom of God and stop arguing with God, self, or others and our place in the Kingdom of God which causes us to not accept the Love of God, love our selves and receive love from others we will look for a fit to meet our need to be loved.

When we don’t accept ourselves, the first thing that happens is that our serotonin levels drop.

Serotonin is a neurotransmitter released out of the nervous system, out of the dendrites, or in the basal ganglia, which is part of the brain stem. Serotonin is the “Feel good” Hormone.

Mind – Body Connection

The enemy can manipulate our thoughts, which causes our bodies to secrete less serotonin. The Hypothalamus and brain stem assist in regulating serotonin levels.

If we do not feel loved in any area by God, self, and others, the enemy can cause a hypothalamus/brain steam connection to reduce serotonin levels.

When you don’t feel right physically/spiritually you have a serotonin deficiency

Taking you peace in God, ourselves, and others, the hypothalamus will recognize the fulfillment and signal the brainstem to release serotonin, causing your spirit and body to come into balance and completeness in HIM. “Peace give I unto you but not as the world gives, give I unto you.” Jesus said.

The enemy is the only one benefiting when your serotonin levels are imbalanced. Taking a
serotonin enhancer to make you feel better leads to an addiction to the drug and creates a chemically altered state of consciousness, producing false peace. With the drug, you may feel better about yourself, but you still have an unloving , unclean spirit operating, and you may feel unsatisfied and be tormented.

Thoughts are being produced that cause a person to go into areas of fulfillment, such as pornography. The root of pornography is the need to be loved, not lust.

The need to be loved is the strong man of pornography. Lust fuels the release of dopamine, which is another neurotransmitter. Dopamine a feel good neurotransmitter. For a person to compensate biologically for the spiritual deficiency, they have to get a rush.

Cocaine operates on this principle: the first hit of cocaine releases all of the dopamine in the body, and the rush of dopamine is the same as in an orgasm in a proper relationship with husband and wife. The rush only comes at that one time because God puts checks and balances on promiscuity. Dopamine takes two years to come back to full value once that rush occurs, and the cocaine addict keeps searching for the rush in every hit.

An altered State of Consciousness by chemicals violates creation. The enemy knows he can alter your chemistry by how you feel about yourself. The chemicals alter your conscious state to a chemical peace, not the peace Jesus gives.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Perfect peace belongs to those whose minds or hearts are fixed and stay on the Lord.

The ability to give and receive love is part of our creation, and the need to be loved is built into us from creation.

Rejection by parents through abandonment brings a predisposition to addictions.

Lots of these people go to food for nurturing because the lips are the nurturing. Even in cigarettes, it’s not the nicotine that hits the lips for nurturing and the need to be loved.

It is difficult to walk away from your addictions while still feeling unloved. When a person does, what usually happens is cross-addiction, laying one addiction down and picking up another.

To come out from under these addictions, we must recognize the spiritual bewitchment, the lie that we are listening to, that we’re not loved by God, and that we do not belong on this planet and we don’t love ourselves, and the lie that others don’t love you. If someone doesn’t love us, that is their loss, and we do not have to carry their sin into our bodies to destroy us.

*The Lord revealed to me the week before I went to Pleasant Valley Church that I had become one with the thought that I did not belong or fit in. When He revealed that to me, and now that I am studying addictions more closely, I believe the area of control has been huge, especially controlling my environment through, at times, isolation of myself from certain situations or individuals. As I am growing in my discernment and recognizing these spirits, I realize that matter of choice is right there: am I going to come in agreement with what I realize, or am I going to stop the thoughts and ungodly interactions immediately to move on in HIS perfect plan for my life each moment of every day!!

Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like; of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

“Do” means in Greek ~ habitually practice as away of life, not a single act. The 3rd killer of people in American last year was death from prescription drugs.

Death from illegal drugs doesn’t even rate in the top ten.
When a person thinks they weigh too much and do not like themselves, it slows down their metabolism. According to science, weight is strictly based on the rate of metabolism. Scripture tells us that we become what we think. When we do not like ourselves, our metabolism slows down; therefore, it doesn’t matter what we eat, our body doesn’t burn it. So start loving yourself, and your rate of metabolism will increase, and you will lose weight easier.

Let’s look at Luke 11: 19-22

And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore, shall they be your judges. But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: but when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. Listen carefully to the invisible kingdom that’s behind addictions –

Verse 19 if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? What Jesus was saying was if I by the power of the Satan cast out devils whose casting the devils out of your children?

Jesus says but if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the Kingdom of God is come upon you.

The invisible kingdom: verse 21 when a strong man armed keepeth his palace, (human being) his goods are in peace. This speaks of a control of Satan’s control over a human.

The strong man is the principality, the unloving spirit controlling the person's life. Many other spirits are reinforcing the unloving spirit that gives it power. Bitterness is held in place by the 7 underlings: unforgiveness, resentment, retaliation, rage, anger, hatred, violence, and murder. (Bitterness Teaching) A person may say I just want to get rid of my bitterness. Well, they can not without getting rid of the entire power structure holding the bitterness in place, giving the bitterness the authority in your life. Jesus is teaching the reality of evil spirits in the life of humans.

When an evil spirit is cast out, it wanders through dry places seeking a place to rest ~ finding none, it will come back to the original house (human being) to see if the person is filled up with the word of God and being renewed or if the person is empty, garnished and swept clean it will come back bring 7 others with it, making the person in a worse state then before. The evil spirit is in torment when not in a human being, and when in a human, the evil spirit is in peace, and the human is in torment.

If someone says, “I don’t know about or like the word evil spirits,” that is a fear of evil. What you are saying is Satan is more excellent than God. Satan is not and will never be bigger than God unless we allow him to be. According to your faith, be done unto you.

The unloving, unclean spirit must be dismantled in a person's life who has addictions that cause the person to be unable to accept God’s love, will not allow peace with themselves, and will not give or receive love from others. It’s a matter of restructuring our entire spiritual personality by removing the armor that has become part of our lives spiritually and psychologically.

Pharmakeia Meaning

Pharmakeia is a form of the Greek root word from which we get our English words: Pharmacy, Pharmacist, and Pharmaceutical. In the Bible, pharmakeia carried the idea of sorcery, occultism, and black magic. In this sense, Paul used the term in Galatians 5.20 as 'witchcraft'. In Rev. 9:21 & 18:23, it is translated as 'sorceries.'

Approximately 60% of the population takes at least one pharmaceutical drug daily. Some are taking up to fifteen and twenty.

The modern drug industry originated with the IG Farben company in Nazi Germany. They led in funding Hitler's rise to power. Their drugs and extermination gas made the holocaust and prisoner medical experiments possible.

Revelation 18:23

The Heritage Bible interprets the phrase "because all the nations were deceived by your pharmakeia" as "...because in your spell-inducing drugs all the races were led astray."

Pharmakeia is among many schemes (Greek - "noema") or strategies of Satan. It absolutely does take advantage of us in the language of 2 Corinthians! This scheme or strategy prepares us for Satan's approaching crux move involving the Beast and the mark of the Beast. To trick people into receiving the mark of the Beast is the ultimate "taking advantage of," is it not? Pharmakeia is singularly credited in Revelation 18 as how all ethnicities/races are deceived. Pharmakeia thus provides the cover for all his dark strategies, but the effectual work of this evil is also straightforward!

Trickery of Prescription Drugs.

Pain Pill Addiction

Eight weeks earlier, I had surgery to have a stint put in my urinary tract. I had scar tissue growing and blocking my ability to use the restroom.

Oct the 14th, I went to the doctor and got back on the pain pills because of the pain and could have pushed through it but didn't. I took the easy way out. I had been off the pain medicines for 2 weeks with little reaction and some irritability for a day, but not bad. I had a 30-day supply of Hydrocodone; I was taking twice as much, even though the pain was gone. It was a trick of the enemy to make me believe I had pain when I didn't. The symptoms I had was mind fog, sleeping alot and going through the motions, although I talked about God. He was not piercing my heart, and it was hardened to Him to hear because of the lie the drugs do.

My husband was taking a nap before work, and God spoke to him and told him to flush my Hydrocodone down the toilet, so he did. When I finally came, I went to the kitchen, and the Hydrocodone was gone. I went to the bedroom and asked him and he told me he got rid of them, so I got angry at him. I felt panic come over me. He could have at least let me taper off of them.

For the next 48 hours I had a sick stomach, shakes, sweating and diarrhea with a weird odor; God told me it was the poison coming out of my body. At church on Sunday, when Tom (the minister) was speaking, I cried almost the whole time in the back, but God moved in on my heart and told me He could not talk to me about before because the drugs were blocking me from hearing Him. Throughout the service, He spoke to me about situations I needed to amend and repent for. The Lord also showed me how the enemy had been tormenting me with this and had a legal right because the drugs had opened the door to Satan's kingdom. After we got home from church, I thanked Mark for loving me enough to throw out the prescription drugs.

God told me he used Mark to step in and stop it because I could not. That is an example of what a Godly man does. He is my covering and helps me when I can not help myself today. I respect him tremendously for this. I could not believe the type of detox I went through for 2 weeks of using that crap. The enemy took me to a place of darkness that God can not go. He is bringing me back to the light; I was able to make some phone calls and take care of some things that the Lord showed me earlier during the service. Today, the Enemy no longer torments me with these situations because I listened to the Lord's instructions and obeyed. I am at peace again. I know this is long but I have learned when God gives me clear direction to just do it.

Spiritual and Biologal Side of Addictions

When there is addictions in a person's life, we find a person is separated from god, themselves or others. If you find somebody that is struggling with any type of addiction especially drug addiction, there is a battle going on with you. You have been spiritually bewitched from the simplicity of the gospel.

Your enemy knows your biology better than most of your pastors. The enemy knows if he can get you stewing in this stuff, your seretonian levels drop or are deficient. There is no way you can get it back up unless you take a drug to bring seretonians back up because you are in chemical imbalanced. The sorcerer, your friendly drugstore pharmacist, knows from the study of pharmacology he can give you a seretonian drug enhancer to make you feel good but now you are addicted to the enhancer. That is a false peace. As long as you take the drug, you may feel better about yourself, but you still have an unloving and unclean spirit that is part of your nature, and even on the medication, you still don’t feel satisified but just more tormented.

The Spiritual Root

The spiritual root behind addiction, then, is an unloving spirit, self-rejection, self-bitterness, self-hatred, and self-accusation. When you don't feel good about yourself, the secretions drop. Have you ever heard of a phrase that said, "That drunkard's lover is the bottle? It has become his friend. Maybe you never felt loved or accepted by parents, husbands, friends, or peers, and now you need to feel better, and the only way is to get a rush through that prescription drug. Someone told you that you are unlovely, or worthless and you believe the lie from the enemy. God says you are bought with a price.

The Spiritual bewitchment says that God does not love you, and you don’t love yourself and that no one loves you either. When you buy that lie because of the sins of others around you, you have been bewitched and need a fix.

It would be difficult to get away from your nuturing if you don’t feel loved. You can give up on one, but there is cross-addiction. You will give up on one and your addiction will turn into something else.

What is spiritual bewitchment?

You are listening to a lie that says you are not loved (by others) or belong on this planet, and you don’t love yourself. It is their loss if they don’t love you because the Lord loves you, is your creator, and knew you before you were born. You don’t have to carry somebody eles sin because they don’t love you for you to go into addictions for your destruction.

Galatians 5:19 – 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest (you can see them), which are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Witchcraft is actually a legal drug. The other drunkness is an illegal drug.

The kingdom that produces addictions

Luke 11:21 When a strongman is armed, his goods are in peace. This means the individual is strong and armed and is in control of his house or palace - His interest is protected. This is about satan’s control over a human by a kingdom. The palace is a human being. The strongman is the principality, the unloving spirit that controls that human being's life. But answering to this principality of an unloving spirit with other spirits, which range from one to 2,000 other spirits, reinforcing its power in their life.

How do you get free from addiction?

First, the strongman must be removed, but you must deal with the underlings or goods. When the underlings are removed through deliverance, then the strongman is disarmed and has to flee.

Two, the person with the addiction problem needs to start seeing who he or she is in Christ. They are loved with everlasting love and do not listen to the lies of the past but rise up and fight.

How common is depression in the US? Well, about Millions of Americans suffer from clinical or manic depressive disorders. Did you know there is a way of escape without drugs?

Did you know despair, guilt, shame, and not loving for who you are (self-hatred, self-rejection) cause depression? Losses of someone you love, loss of job, or big changes, such as moves away from personal support, can also bring on depression.

I want to address those who have a hard time accepting themselves, manifesting as shame, guilt, self-hatred, or self-rejection.

In fact many Christians have depression as much as the world. Did you know it says in Matthew 22:37-39 to Love God with all your heart, soul and mind and love others as yourself? We are commanded to love ourselves!

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

Depression Hurts

What is the problem? What happens when you live with self-accusation and are not able to forgive yourself for the things in the past? Usually, they turn against themselves (self-hatred), which can be not liking your body, not liking who you are, or not liking your personality. Those with self-hatred manifest in self-sabotage jobs, relationships, etc.

The enemy wants to kill, steal, and destroy you. Jesus warns us about Satan…. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, kill, and destroy: I come that they might have life and have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” (John 10:10-11).

If he can get you stuck in negative thoughts about yourself – your failures and past sins, not allowing yourself off the hook, he’s got you. Did you know people who are clinically depressed might spend 90 percent of their time thinking about the one negative and 10 percent of their time thinking about the nine positives?

Thinking thinking! As depression deepens, the individual might start to feel that things are hopeless. That is precisely what the enemy wants to take you – hopelessness. But our hope is in Christ.

Where do thoughts come from? Did you know not all your thoughts are your own? Did you know we are spiritual, and the enemy is spiritual? He knows your past and is the accuser! He loves to accuse the saints of God. The word of good is good when putting out those fiery darts.

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Eph. 6:16

How many of you repented for the things in the past, but you cannot believe you're forgiven? Is God’s Word faithful or not! Isaiah 43:25

My question to you is, if the Lord sent his son to forgive you of your sins, and when you repent and his word says he no longer remembers, why are you allowing the enemy to accuse you! Remember that is satan’s job to get you to doubt God’s promises. Hang on to God’s promises.

What happens when I live with some of these negative emotions? One, your body lines up to what you believe, and the serotonin, dopamine, or norepinephrine down, neurotransmitters in the brain that carry impulses among all the brain cells. All these chemicals are feel-good chemicals, but when someone does not feel good about themselves or cannot get over guilt or shame, the chemicals decrease, causing depression. You go to the doctor for depression, and the doctor gives you serotonin enhancers called anti depressants, which give a false peace because only God is our real peace. Depression causes chemical imbalances in the brain through a complex interplay of body, mind, and spirit.

If God is the creator of all life, then you are unique, and there is only one of you. Some of you have heard negative words spoken over your lives. You have to choose to believe God’s word over their words. Remember, your father in heaven is your real father, and you will be with him for eternity.

This is what God says about you:

God made you, you are His workmanship – you are wonderfully made. Ps 139:13-14 …For you created my inmost being…. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

You are deeply loved
Jer 31:3 The LORD…says: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”

You are not rejected
Is 41:9 “…I have chosen you and have not rejected you.”

You are precious in God’s sight
Is 43:4 … you are precious and honored in my sight, and …I love you

You are the ‘apple’ of God’s eye
Zec 2:8 …This is what the LORD Almighty says…whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye

You are God’s friend
John 15:15 “…. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”

You are God’s child
John 1:12-13 To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God– children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

You are God’s delight
Ps 150:4 The LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation.

God is with you, and you are His joy.
Zep 3:17 The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

You have a hope and a future.
Jer 29:11-13 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me, come and pray to me, and I will listen. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

How to Overcome Depression in Four Steps

First, who are you listening to. Is God’s word true or not. Are you going to allow your past failures or what others have said? Who are you going to define you? God’s word or past word curses? Are they really true about you?

In 2 Corinthians 10:5 it says “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” What does this mean? It means anything and I mean anything against the word of God, don’t listen to it, but cast it down.

Second, stop comparing yourself to others. Learn to be content with who you are and stop looking at your temporary you and get to know who you really are, the eternal person you are. Did you know comparing yourself to others is a form of envy and jealousy? Praise God and hold up your head that you represent the creation of God.

Third, forgive yourself. Jesus forgave you, didn’t he? Didn't you repent of your sins when you gave your life to Christ? If you did, then it is under the blood. If you have failed since then, go to the Lord and confess your sins to him. That is why he was sent so we can go to him anytime and confess our sins. God knew no man could be perfect, and he sent his son for us to have access. Conviction is from the Lord and condemnation is from the devil.

God says in the Bible, “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins” (Isaiah 43:25 Heb. 8:12; 10:17). He chooses never to bring them up again. He doesn’t forget because He cannot. But He doesn’t remember them either; He will never bring them up again. Why? Because they have been forgiven by His Son Jesus. It is under the blood, which covers forever. Don’t listen to the accuser who wants you to remember your past failures and sins.

Remember the Lord your God loves you with an everlasting love. He sent his son to earth not to condemn but bring life.

God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16, 17 Bible KJV)

This should restore your hope back. For now, there are faith, hope, and love. But of these three, the greatest is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13

Fourth, if someone abused you, rapped or molested you, you must forgive them.
I know the pain of someone not loving you and abusing you. Your heart is broken, your spirit is crushed, and your mind is filled with anger and bitterness. Mercy and forgiveness are merely words we hardly remember the meaning of.

If a person holds onto bitterness, then the memory stays in the mind as torment. We are commanded to forgive. Part of the Lord’s prayer is to forgive others.

Father in heaven may forgive you your sins” (Mark 11:25) when we didn’t deserve it.

So why should you forgive? Remember thatgiving others is an absolute necessity. In Mat. 6:14-15 Jesus said that if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Think about that. Dwell on all your past sins, and how grateful you are that our heavenly father is merciful and forgiving. Jesus commanded us to forgive, which is why we must do it.

This begins the healing process when we can forgive those who hurt, abused, or misused.

As you begin to heal, Satan will try with all his principalities to remind you of the hurt that has been put upon you. He will try to restore your bitterness. You must continue to get in line with the word of God and allow the healing power of the cross to invade your thoughts. That means stay out of self-pity by not replaying those thoughts to become one with bitterness again.

Sometimes, bitterness can be a stronghold that makes it hard to forgive. If that is the case, a person needs deliverance and ministry to heal the broken heart.

Fifth, is learning to be grateful for what you have. It is being content in all things. Philippians 4:11-13 says:
¹¹Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
¹²I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.¹³I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Satan is the biggest robber of contentment. He gets the children of God to get their eyes off the Lord and onto the world in what others have or see blessings of others. Overcoming discontent is a matter of relying on God and trusting him.

One has to come to the place of contentment in all things. It is learning to give praise in all things, even in trials. 1 Peter 1:3-21 is a great scripture of promise.

You see, when you can turn your discontentment to praise to him, something changes in the brain. It is a choice but it is warfare you are doing against the enemy by praising the Lord.

In Conclusion: All these steps will increase seretonin levels.

You see, we have been brainwashed to believe in medicine over God. God brings divine health. When the media, like TV, is used to bring fear by saying something repeatedly, a person goes into fear, and the body is stressed, and then that person's immune system goes down.

We need to come to a place where we can trust God for our health. I mean, look what is happening in Washington! They are taking over the health care system to control your health. That means many of you will not get the same care you used to get.

We must go back to our roots and start trusting God for our health, not man and medicine. Time is short, and the enemy, the devil, knows his time is short and will try to take out as many people as he can through evil people.

Sorcery and Modern Medicine

The word "sorcery" is used once in the NT (New Testament). It is
number 3096 in strong's concordance. It is used in Acts 8:9.
Strong's Con. says: "mag-yoo-o from 3097; to practice magic :-
use sorcery."

The word "sorceries" is used 3 times in the NT.
In Acts 8:11 it is number 3095 in Strong's Con. which says: "mag-
i-ah; from 3096, 'magic' :- sorcery." The context is again the
same as above.

Rev.9:21 and 18:23 the Greek word is #5331 in Strong's Con. which
says: "far-mak-i-ah; from 5332; medication ('parmacy'), i.e. (by
extension) magic (lit.or fig.) :- sorcery, witchcraft."

In Rev.18:22 Babylon is said to have deceived all nation by her
"sorceries." It's one of the reasons she is destroyed by God. And
in her was found the blood of prophets and saints. I do not think
very many will understand her sorceries to be "pharmacy drugs" -
the end time Babylon does not have a monopoly on prescription
drugs. But the Babylon Roman Beast power, has over the centuries
killed God's true prophets and saints, and she has with her
SPIRITUAL (figurative) sorceries bewitched the world with many
false teachings and traditions.

Why do I say this?

How many do you know have been addicted to prescription drugs such as pain pills. How many families do you know where their boy or girl is on ADD medicine?

The word "sorcerers" is used 2 times in the NT. Rev.21:8; where
the Greek word is #5332 in Strong's Con. which says: "far-mak-
yoos; from pharmakon (a drug, i.e. spell-giving potion); a
drugist ('pharmacist') or poisoner, i.e. (by extension.) a magician
:- sorcerer."

Do you see here that God is against "pharmaceutical
prescription drugs" - so much so that all who prescribe them and
use them will not be in the Kingdom of God? God says, "Come
let us reason together, says the Lord." Let's use some knowledge
and some logic as we proceed.

Many of the mental drugs like prozac

Let's look at the long-term side effects of Prozac today. Psychotropic drugs, known by most as “antidepressants,” are contributing to suicide rates around the globe.

Antidepressant is nothing more than a psychotropic drug. The root word for “psychotropic” is the Greek word psyche, which means “soul.”6 The soul includes the mind.7 “Trop” is a prefix defined as “a turning or a changing.”8 A derivative of this word is “tropism,” which means “the turning or bending movement of an organism or a part toward or away from an external stimulus, such as light, heat, or gravity.”9 A literal meaning of psychotropic would be “a mind changer” or “a mind bender.” In other words, a psychotropic drug is a mind-altering, mind-bending drug. When the mind is bent or altered, an opening is created that accommodates easy access for demons. Pharmakeia have been used since ancient times to do this,10. Still, in our present culture of secular humanism, the diminishment of ethics has not only opened wide doors to facilitate them but also enabled merchandisers to profit enormously from them.

Satan comes disguised as an angel of light (as a “miracle” drug?) -- to steal, kill, and destroy. Is this example merely a coincidence? Or something more diabolical? I only ask that you consider the question: is it possible that the whole world is being deceived through this sorcery, this Pharmakeia?

A quote from HealthyPlace.com, a website that favors the use of antidepressants, says the following:

Most antidepressants are believed to work by slowing the removal of certain chemicals from the brain. These chemicals are called neurotransmitters (such as serotonin and norepinephrine). Neurotransmitters are needed for normal brain function and are involved in the control of mood and in other responses and functions, such as eating, sleep, pain, and thinking.

What really brings divine healing?

Only through the Lord Jesus Christ can you find healing.

Why are so many people sick today, especially in the Church?

Many believe or have removed repentance. The word says you are a liar if anyone is without sin (1 John 1:8).

Many are sick today, according to Jesus's words in 1 John 5:3: “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not grievous.”

The Godly Solution

For every cause, there is an effect. Obeying the Ten Commandments identifies the cause that will produce every good and desirable effect. But the world has been deceived, thinking that this great Law is burdensome and harsh, and lacks love and mercy. Yet, the world ignores the plain Word of God: The Ten Commandments are NOT done away! Now you can learn why YOU should keep this living, active, spiritual Law of God.

What is the key? One is a relationship with the Father; Two, it is to obey what he says personally and obey his word. Examples of His Word in regards to obedience and blessings:

(Genesis 22:18 NIV) and through your offspring, all nations will be blessed because you have obeyed me."

(Exodus 15:26 NIV) He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."

(Exodus 23:22 NIV) If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.

(Deuteronomy 4:39-40 NIV) Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the LORD is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other. {40} Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the LORD your God gives you for all time.

(Deuteronomy 12:28 NIV) Be careful to obey all these regulations I am giving you, so that it may always go well with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is good and right in the eyes of the LORD your God.

(Deuteronomy 28:1-20 NIV) If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. {2} All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: {3} You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. {4} The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. {5} Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. {6} You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. {7} The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. {8} The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. {9} The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. {10} Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. {11} The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity--in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground--in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you. {12} The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. {13} The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. {14} Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them. {15} However, if you do not obey the LORD your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: {16} You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country. {17} Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed. {18} The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. {19} You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out. {20} The LORD will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.

(Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NIV) This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live {20} and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

(1 Samuel 15:22-23 NIV) But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. {23} For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king."

(2 Chronicles 26:5 NIV) He sought God during the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God. As long as he sought the LORD, God gave him success.

(Proverbs 3:1-6 NIV) My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, {2} for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. {3} Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. {4} Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. {5} Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; {6} in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

(Proverbs 16:7 NIV) When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.

(Isaiah 58:6-14 NIV) "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? {7} Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-- when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? {8} Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. {9} Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I. "If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, {10} and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. {11} The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. {12} Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings. {13} "If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the Lord's holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, {14} then you will find your joy in the LORD, and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob." The mouth of the LORD has spoken.

(Jeremiah 7:23-24 NIV) but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you. {24} But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward.

(John 10:27-29 NIV) My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. {28} I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. {29} My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all ; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand.

(John 14:15-18 NIV) "If you love me, you will obey what I command. {16} And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- {17} the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. {18} I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

(John 14:23-24 NIV) Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. {24} He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

(John 15:7-14 NIV) If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. {8} This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. {9} "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. {10} If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. {11} I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. {12} My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. {13} Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. {14} You are my friends if you do what I command.

What is the problem today?

The church is just as bad at sending their sheep to doctors instead of participating in what God says to do to bring about healing:

James 5:14-16
"14 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."

The pastors should ask if their is sin instead of just laying on of hands. As and get the person to repent and then pray for healing. God is a God of order.

In the New Testament it says in 1 Peter 2:24

1 Peter 2:24
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

Going back to the average Christian today!

Many Christians believe we are living in the last days, the end times. Many will point to famines, earthquakes, wars, and rumors of wars, as predicted in Scripture. But few will believe sorcery and religious deception have anything to do with the signs of the times.

Another translation of Pharmakeia is “healing without repentance,” repentance meaning to change direction. Healing without repentance simply means trying to cure an illness without taking responsibility for changing the behavior, habits, or environment that caused the disease in the first place.

For instance, using pharmaceutical drugs to treat an illness without stopping the behavior that caused it, e.g., smoking, overindulgence in food, unhealthy food, or carcinogens. Or taking blood-thinning drugs to allow blood to pass through clogged arteries instead of clearing out the blocked arteries and then eating correctly to avoid them getting clogged in the first place. People who do not take responsibility for their own health want a magic pill.

Is it time to be healed in God's way? Many go through healing lines, but the problem is no repentance, as noted earlier in James.

Do you believe nutrition can heal sickness and disease?

If you do, you are only deceiving yourself. Just like drugs, vitamins, and diets can help some but do not cure.
