This says it all!

I hope Cole Hamels used the proper dosage of Pantene tonight and that I don’t have to see his Comcast HD commercials in between dipping nachos.

I just could not get into the Halloween mindset this year, even though one of the biggest and coolest party of any year is happening right down the street from my house at 2424 Studios. It’s all Phillies tonight.

I shot some photos with my iPhone, and made a music video for my instrumental “Old Main Ghosts”. Checkity check it out below.

Some old dude insisted on taking a photo of us. He used my iPhone that has been locking up lately and I was certain it would lock up on him or he’d run away and steal it and I’d have to chase him down and throw pumpkins at him to get it back.

Soon after the Phillies victory, Melissa got some crazy photos of a streaker, which is funny because we were all joking about having the balls to streak if they win. But this guy was right on it!

Back when I went to Kutztown university, I was one of the lucky ones fortunate enough to have a Brother word processor that clanked out 5-page reports in about 20 minutes and featured a tiny black display with bright yellow text. Sure, we had a computer lab in the library with about 25 Apple computers, but there was always a line or a wait and we hardly knew how to use those damn things back then.

My first computer was an bondi blue iMac, the first iMac that was ever released, back in 1998 I believe. My friend John Roberts hooked me up with Photoshop 4.0 and something called Dreamweaver and I was well on my way into the murky confusion of table based web design, and then the eventual dreaded “DHTML”. I clearly remember designing sites that stated “Click Here for Internet Explorer or Click Here for Netscape Navigator”.

In celebration of the past, here’s a look at some old school computers and diligent workers:

Just found out a bakeshop called Whipped Bakeshop just opened on the corner of Berks and Belgrade.

I remember a few events over the past couple years where Melissa and I were wishing there was a place nearby to get a good cake, besides a supermarket cake at Thriftway. Based on the photos, this place looks amazing. This Yoda looks grotesquely like him, but I’m very curious as to sticking a fork in his eyeball and finding out what flavor it is.

The look and feel of this site was inspired by a photo Melissa had taken of me at Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia. I then expanded the blue sky and tossed in some elements of my life to personalize it, such as a photo of Santucci, our cat, and my Bianchi San Jose bike.

I decided to go for a very simple layout. Aside from some icons, the entire site utilizes just two images.

Still got some work to do on it, but it’s getting there!

I put Santucci outside in the park with me chasing a butterfly. He has only been outside a couple times, but I think he'd be all about this!

One evening in Aruba, we went on the Jolly Pirates Sunset cruise. I didn’t break out the video camera much on this trip aside from on this boat. I guess I just wanted to relax and not deal with technology that much.

Regardless, here’s a taste of the fun had on the pirate laden cruise, where they shoved awful red rum drinks in our faces and let the brave do a little rope jump while anchored on the north end of the island.

Back when I was a kid and actually went to “West Coast Video” to rent VHS tapes, it seemed that all the movies had these goofy illustrations on the tape holders. They all tried to sum up the characters in the movie with one shot…Ahh, the good old days.

Now, that I am married, I will need to get one of these. It just never ends, does it?
