A Golden Year in Philippine History

In the beginning of Philippines History it has been humbled by the story of Magellan invading the island of Mactan in the Visayas and for which it has been successfully defended by a sultan who's name is Lapu-Lapu. In the following years, the Spaniards came to conquer other islands in Visayas but because of the bravery of some other sultans, they resisted to submit to the invaders, but sad to say there are still those that has been invaded by the tyrant Spanish soldiers. After that, it has been a long struggle, there came the Katipuneros, the National Hero Jose Rizal and many others who sacrificed their lives for Philippine Independence. Those are the early history of this Brave Asian Country.

During the Times of the First World War, there has also been a history that are not known to many, the Date was July 27, 1914, the same day that the First World War began, is also the time that a religion was formally registered in the Philippines - the Iglesia Ni Cristo. It has also been a struggle for the members of this church as they encountered persecutions from other religions and establishing it during the time of war is not an easy task, yet if we will look at the present of where and what they are right now, it is truly unimaginable and amazing as they are building the Best and the Largest Arena in the world which is the Philippine Arena.

After a century of hard work and dedication, on July 27, 2014, this Church will mark it's 100th year anniversary of re-establishment in the Philippines and not only that as it will be a Golden Year to the Philippine History as a historic landmark will be launched in the heart of Ciudad de Victoria, Bocaoue Bulacan, which is the Philippine Arena - a state of the art facility that can accommodate an estimated seating capacity of around 50,000; a mark which makes it the biggest of it's kind in the world in capacity, design, structure not to mention the cost of building it that amounts to 213 million dollars or 9.4 billion pesos excluding other structures that are being built alongside the Arena like the EGM hospital (330 bed), New Era University, Bulacan Branch, Convention Center and an open stadium. How could a minority religion in the Philippines can do that? It only proves one thing, that a True God guides a true religion that is the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ).

Philippine Arena - The Best and Largest Indoor Arena in the World

When we talk about the biggest and famous structures in the World Today, we are usually expecting it to be located at a famous city that has a strong economy and powerful government like United States, UK, Australia or those European Countries and Asian economic giants like China, Singapore or Japan. But when we talk about third world countries all we thought about are corruption, crime, unemployment/underemployment and many other things that we consider as source of poverty. The Philippines is considered as one of the third world countries in Asia and no one could ever imagine something as big and as expensive as the Philippine Arena will be constructed and not only that, it is being built right now in a location outside Metro Manila.

If we will Think of the status of the Philippine economy right now, it is almost impossible for the government to allocate a fund as expensive as the Arena while it is in status where national debt is almost unpayable, corruption is rampant, many are unemployed and the country is being affected by the roller coaster ride of Global Financial Crisis. Of course nobody would expect a country with the status of Philippines would spend that Big, but is it not even more puzzling now that a religious organization that is considered a minority when it comes to the population of members is the one who will fund the construction of the soon to be - most Famous Arena in the world and unquestionably the Biggest of it's kind.

This is a very big issue in the world of architecture and design, world religion, economy and Fame - thank you to the determination and efforts of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) for the Philippines will be back in the World Map once again but not because of something bad like Crime and Corruption, but because of being the Home of the Greatest and Biggest Arena in The World - the Philippine Arena.

In the humble beginning of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, they started with very few members and the time this religion was established in the Philippines is also the time that World war I broke out which is July 27, 1914, and that time, the church experienced persecution and hardship but they survived, now this is one of the most powerful and Influential religion not only in Asia, but all over the World. On July 27, 2014, this church will celebrate the centennial anniversary celebration of the Church ans the Grand Opening of the Philippine Arena that is being awaited by their members around the world that will surely make them stand up tall than other religions. This is only a manifestation that nothing is impossible to a religion that is being guided by one true God and Iglesia Ni Cristo is one true Proof of the Great work of God in these Last Days.
