It all started with a friend casually asking if we&#39;re interested to take part in this challenge and get to stay at Pangkor Laut Resort (PLR). Soon enough there were 14 of us who confirmed, registered and paid for it.

We drove our way up to the jetty and the hotel arranged for a private boat transfer for us to the island. How nice of them.

One of the major attractions in Hanoi is the water puppet show at Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre. 





We bought the 9.15pm tickets for 60,000 Dongs each, and we get to sit somewhere in the middle of the theatre. Not bad.

We were told to get to the deck of the boat right after we came back from the fishing village. And we saw fruits, juices and red wine awaiting our arrival.

Our next agenda after lunch was to visit the Vung Vieng Fishing Village.









The place looks so calm and serene.



There were limited number of sampans there, so we visited the nearby pearl farm first.







At the pearl farm, they breed their own oysters for pearls. All sorts of jewelries made out of pearls can be found in that mini shop.

Second day in Hanoi, we woke up super duper early to pack our bags and check out of the hotel.

After walking for about 1km from our hotel, we reached the West Lake.




There are 2 major lakes in Hanoi - West Lake &amp;amp; Hoan Kiem Lake. Both lakes are popular hangout places for youngsters and dating place for couples.




We then walked to the Trấn Quốc Pagoda, a Buddhist temple located on a little islet of West Lake.
