This one was passed on to me by a friend - and I thought it'd be nice to share.

I've always yearned for more artistic ability. My creative juices flow but in a very slow way. The best ideas come organically and those only occur at random. I can rarely sit to do a project and produce a great idea - often I'll finish a mediocre piece before a great thought strikes me - but by then the motivation has left me. I wonder then if it is a question of drive or ability that holds me back. I look at artists all around, in my life and not - who seem to have skill coming out their fingertips. Do they work hard to be as good as they are, or is it nature. When I was young I wanted to draw, and quickly realized I couldn't. It didn't dawn on me until I reached college age that I should have just kept drawing. Practice, after all, makes perfect.

I wonder then, if I had put the Barbie fashion plates aside and tried my hand at freehand drawing would I be any better for it today? Who could say.

Anyway - this video and it's work is so amazing to me. The amount of time and determination put into it is incredible. I wish I could be so focused. Nay, I aspire to be that focused.
