From my recent travels, here's another image from a stroll at night. Walking into St.Peter's square you are surrounded by this vast beauty. At night, most of the tourist have left and you can truly enjoy you environment.

I recently came back from Italy. The next few posts will be pictures from my trip. I've been to Italy several times, what made this trip different was that I took the time to enjoy each location that I visited, instead of following a schedule - my typical behavior on a daily bases.

Rome was one of the destinations we visited. I loved the richness of its architecture. Here's one of the shots, what I love about this building is that the inside/outside architecture of the building is more interesting that the outside view of the building.

I was walking through the other day and saw this statue of pipes. With camera in hand, I was inspired to see the deeper meaning in this statue. Hence, I found the inspiration for a new series "Creative Things Around Us".

A few weeks ago, I was able to do a shoot at the quad at the University Of Washington, capturing the cherry blossoms at full bloom. I am amazed how each year, you can rediscover the beauty of the cherry blossoms as if for the first time.

The other day, we were on our way to REI. On the way, I saw a community garden. I was so happy to have my camera with me. The garden was full of things I had to take a picture of. It's great when you find these type of gems in Seattle.

In Seattle on a sunny day you can find people taking a stroll in a park, enjoying a cup of coffee outside, walking downtown. I was exploring 1st ave when I saw a picture, I had to capture. It's not something you often find, people enjoying life - just sitting, no rush. It was refreshing. Like something from a while ago.

How To Be Successfull in StockPhotography

Doing stock photography is available to anyone who wants to get started. I've been doing stock for quiet a while now, and have found it to be rewarding and nice benefit to my photography hobby. Here's a how to guide on getting started in Stock:

Step 1: Open a iSyndica account:

A few quick thoughts I had to make it easier with getting started. Before you sign up with iSyndica, you should go and open your photographer accounts on the stock sites. Here are the top stocksites that have been good to me:

I've had success selling photos through these 6 sites. With some of them, in order to get started you might need to take a multiple choice quiz and/or upload sample work in order to get approved as a photographer. it's a pretty easy process, but can take a bit of time.

You can sign up for all the other as well, but I'd start with those 6 as they seem to be the most effective.

Step 3: Upload
Once you sign up, get your photos ready that you want to sell through stock. Set up the uploads through iSyndica. and upload the photos. For cataloging, I usually look at fotolia, search for an image that are similar to mine and had the most downloads. This helps with saving time on the cataloging. By the way, don't get discouraged if your pictures are not accepted. While some sites will take everything you upload, others my decline it. You never know what they will take.

It takes a little bit of time to get started, but give it time, it makes it worth it, at least I found it to be rewarding.

Tilt Photography

I started the day ready with a plan. I put aside 3 hours to go shoot. I called Glazers, reserved a tilt lense. As I make my way to Glazers, I realize that my battery in the camera is dead. Luckely, the charger is with me. So now I am downtown, with a tilt lense ready to go, just waiting to get some juice in my battery. Man, what a bummer, this is why one should have more than one battery.

I am looking around on the web at other people's examples of tilt images and getting so excited. Can't wait to see what I come up with.
