Haven't seen any of her serials (or at least none that I can recall), but ain't the still-single 34-year-old drop dead gorgeous and downright elegant? One of the reigning Queens of TVB (another being Gigi Lai), 'Ah-Sheh' (as she's affectionately known as) was the second runner-up in the 1997 Miss Hong Kong Pageant who later rose to fame and is now a top draw of her station.

They pompously brand themselves as "an internet newspaper which aims to provide an independent, balanced and unbiased coverage on socio-political affairs in Singapore", but the way I see it these pip-squeaks are nothing more than deviant and defiant no-namers who seek to rile the masses and destabilize our system. As much as I dislike government propaganda, the Temasek Reviewers are way too anti-PAP/establishment for my tolerance. How else do you account for their flagrant endorsement of losers/public enemies like Ris Low and Chee Soon Chuan?

As the base of our old cooking pot was scratched and eroded from frequent use, I ~~assigned~~ troubled mom to buy a new one from the sundry shop nearby. But see what she bought - a pan! Argh! My Myojo chicken abalone noodles look so weird spread out on a shallow surface like that. And what happens when I want to do deep frying??

Caught an episode of this short-lived American game show on TV the other night. As much as I found it marginally interesting, I doubt it'd be sustainable. Having said that, you have to take your hats off to the contestants, who have to be hooked up to a polygraph (i.e. lie detector) and answer 21 increasingly embarrassing and excruciating questions ("Have you ever had sex with the family dog?") in order to win the US$500,000 jackpot.
