It's November in Chicago - the windy city - so it was not entirely unexpected that we would have to deal with some wind - but WHOA! It was like a gale out there!

The kids did well, and we tried not to freeze them :-)

I think they did a super job, and *maybe* had a little bit of fun, too.

I had the pleasure of photographing J several years ago, and was really, really happy to have this opportunity to do it again. It is always amazing to me to see the changes in my clients from year to year - how fast time flies and how fast kids grow.

J was so fun to work with, and he had a good time - which makes me happy - because I love what I do. So when my subject is enjoying the experience, it makes it even more worth it.

Thank you, L & M for speeding back from your race in the city to meet with me, and thank you again for the privilege of photographing J.

I'm telling you, this girl COULD NOT POSSIBLY take a bad photograph. I was so overwhelmed when I opened her files, because EVERY shot was fantastic. And I couldn't choose which ones to edit! A good problem to have, I know. But a problem nonetheless. What to do, except edit them all. Eek!

J is everything a girl could hope to be - smart, successful, a gifted athlete, and ridiculously beautiful. And absolutely one of the sweetest girls I've ever had the pleasure of being around.

This session was a ton of fun for me - it is never a difficult thing to go out and about with a pretty girl and exercise my creativity. I think J had a good time, too :-)

These kids are just the best. They are the offspring of two of my best friends and I love them to bits. After photographing them for over four years (really? FOUR??? No. Can't be!), I have to say this was the best session yet, especially for LA's little peanut, E. He was ON FIRE! He laughed, smiled, posed and was just awesome.

One of the amazing things about what I do is getting to see my client's babies grow and grow - and this little sweetheart is no exception. The first time I photographed K, she was a sweet, snuggly baby, then the next time she was up and moving - now she's tall as anything and busy as a bee. Truly awesome.

I love photographing repeat clients. Because I photograph so many children, when I see my families year after year, and document the growth of their babies, I feel like I am a part of the whole process. And I love that. It is a truly special thing, and an amazing benefit to what I do.

Summer may have been a little on the wet side, but autumn has made up for it as much as possible - and this day was as spectacular as they come. Beautiful blue skies, big fluffy clouds - well, you get the idea.

So, it was with pleasure that I set out to photograph this set of great kids - three boys as fun as they come, and game for anything.

We got to play in the grass, hide in the woods and hang on the beach. Pure awesomeness.

Fo Kelly {cleveland child photography, saint john child photographer}

This was the last of my cold, windy, Saturday Cleveland sessions - and it had a spectacular backdrop - Lake Erie. However, it also included swiftly dropping temps and gale force winds. However, the kids I was shooting were great sports - were game for all my ideas and fun to work with.

We even went right down to the shore to attempt a capture of some of the huge waves breaking on the shore - getting soaked in the process!

Sweet Baby J {cleveland baby photography, saint john baby photography}

The weekend I was in beautiful Cleveland was cold, rainy and windy. However, the weather did not phase this sweet little bundle ONE TINY BIT. He was outside in the chill and wet, having a super time. Little J did nothing but smile, grin and gurgle. I LOVED him. Babies like this are one of the true delights of what I do.
