Finished with Balsamic vinegar this plate needed nothing else, the taste of the vegetables were organic with a touch of smoky sweetness.

STEAMING hot fajitas at this Tex-Mex fusion bistro in a suburb of Columbus that really hits the spot! Louise's is open for Breakfast, lunch and dinner, its a dining option for the whole family. These fajitas were $14.00, not cheap however there were plenty of leftovers. (You also get a side dish of Beans and rice, sour cream and Guacamole) Looking forward to returning and trying other options on the menu.

Obika Mozzarella Bar - Rome Rm, Italy

A second location for this wonderful restaurant on the piazza of Campo De Fiori. A perfect place to sit and sip and munch your way through their menu, all while watching the Roman populace stroll by.
Aubergine and Smoked Mozzarella Rice Tortino is so simple and tasty you will be promising yourself that you're going to make it as soon as you get back to a kitchen.
The crostini is layers of wood oven baked bread with stracciatella di burrata and a very spicy salami from Calabria - great heat, richness with the crunch of the bread.

Amazing place, modern, clean design, friendly staff, simple grilled foods + signature varieties of mozz but it's more than just the mozz. We ate there on a Sunday so it was buffet only and that was a good thing as we could take small samples of all of their grilled offerings as well as each kind of mozzarella. They also have one on the Campo Di Fiori which is great for people watching and of course the food - you must eat at one, we ate at both :)

Gregiore's - Berkeley, CA

firm tofu Provençal with oven dried tomato & roasted garlic in sliced granary bread. I was apprehensive about the thick layer of brown chutney spread on each side but they turned out to be the garlic addition, completely smashed to a paste. The subtle, smoky, carmelized flavor went well with the marinated tofu which were covered with herbs. The tofu was the perfect texture – soft and creamy but dense and substantial. Kind of like mozzarella cheese without the taste of cheese, which is great for me. I also loved(!) the tomatoes bathing in their olive oil-y, concentrated juices. Like a tomato times ten in terms of flavor explosion. A couple slices of lettuce were shoved in as an afterthought and some color. It seems like there’d be too many competing flavors in this sandwich but they combined well. Wouldn’t have worked with a meat though.

Whole Foods - 161 Diner - Columbus, OH

An excellent flat top grilled beef burger, though the "bun/bread" concept was a bit over the top. They take what looked like an egg bread block and remove the center, deep fry the whole thing and then put a mayo-mix (like aoli) where the bread used to be. Called "coffin bread" because they put a lid of deep fried bread over the mayo, then the burger goes over that. Bad name, and too much fried bread in the end - especially with the fries which were fantastic. I ate just the burger and only a little of the bread. It was great though, I'd get it again.

These Truffle chips w/ Blue Cheese, Balsamic Vinegar, Candied Pecans and Truffle notes were outstanding. Voted Best New restaurant by a local Columbus,OH alternative newspaper this brunch was a delightful way to spend our Sunday. The sweet potatoes didn't overpower the dish with too much sweet, the eggs were cooked perfectly, once the yolks were broke they melted out over the hash and the chorizo had great flavor and texture.

New Pizza in town - great stuff - more of a gourmet pie but not pretentious.
Crust is thin but not real thin and with just a bit of a chew and some nice surface flakeyness.
They have 2 kinds of pizza bases: red sauce and white sauce. The photo shows both on a half and half pie. Red is tomato garlic, and white is olive oil and cheese-garlic combo. No complaints on either. Mushroom mix is above the usual - def try this place out.

Voted Best Cupcakes by "Columbus Monthly" local magazine! Here we have Chocolate, Vanilla with French Buttercream & Carrot cake with Cream cheese frosting (walnut garnish). With a wide variety of cupcakes I assure you, you will not be disappointed. The Buttercream is melt in your mouth smooth and the cake is moist and tender.
