There was a line drawn on either side of the pit and we were not allowed to go outside it to shoot.

Pretty funny, because if the idea behind the policy is to limit side angles (and presumably double chins?) unless Dexter remains perfectly still and facing the front for the first three songs there will always be a chance he himself will move his head, thus giving a side on profile!

The set drew mainly from the first three albums: something a lot of fans were very happy about! Nothing from the dubious Load albums, nothing even from their current album!

It was a old school Metallica show that killed every act before them on the day.

From a photogs point of view I was curious who their new tour photog was?

We had the pleasure of Mr Dick Halfin with us in the pit for the first three, but I spied another guy (check the last shot here) up on stage with Lars?

Has Mr Halfin finally been booted?

Get ready to get into the pit with Damian Abraham (aka Father Damian/Pink Eyes) as that is where most of the show takes place!

The late afternoon sun balanced with a little fill flash made for awesome photo opps, but just keep you eye on Damian and you can’t really go wrong with this band.
