Back From Motherland

After a 26-year absence I took a trip back to the Motherland.

In short, it was a bittersweet return… The country that I left is no longer there, the streets are different, the people are different, and I felt like a tourist. However, I am glad I went for I have met my high school and childhood friends, heard their stories and told them my own. Lets just say that 26 years is a very looooong time, but there were a few things that didn’t change: drinking, corruption, and police presence. Anyway, I am glad I went but I am glad I am back.

I’ll add a few pictures later but for the time being…

Now, back to Virginia Tech football – first fall football scrimmage is just in a couple of hours.

Just a “heads-up” as to why there were no recent updates in the blog. I have decided to re-design my site to streamline the process of the updating, managing and archiving of the content. It may take a few weeks, all depending on how much free time I will get but the work has begun already.

In the meantime, expect to see very little updates here.

If I have a new photo to share, I will most likely have it posted on the TechSideline.com subscriber (members only) board.
