Here's one from Galway photographer Adrian Nolan who came in first place in the 'Coastal Landscape' category as part of the 2026 Clean Coasts Love Your Coast Photography Competition with his photograph 'Stick Man'. The 1950 Rothko painting, “White Center (Yellow, Pink and Lavender on Rose) I have always loved this painting. Even as a kid.

And mine.. 45 x 60 cm ..took me 6 months..(obvs deliberatle not copied ...for obvs reasons....painted in 2017. Titchy and on a canvas on board which was possibly not the right material. Might give it another go on a large canvas..

I used photoshop elements 9 which came bundled with my computer but I just had to reinstall Win 10 and it was wiped in the update. It looks like I can't reinstall it so I need other options.

I have a 12 year old Win 10 PC with 3GB ram.

I convert raws to jpegs using faststone then in elements I basically used it for opening the jpegs and cropping, cloning, levels, sometimes white-balance adjustments, resizing, sharpening or USM, sometimes adding a border and then...
