King of Paparazzi

I saw this documentary on Ron Galella (also known as
the King of Paparazzi) last year and I was really impressed.

Even though I was immediately turned off by the whole paparazzi angle,
I was an instant fan of his craft.
Watching him in the darkroom, developing film.

Cool to learn he got his degree in photojournalism at the Art Center in LA,
and he served as a US Air Force photographer in the Korean War.

I first saw this necklace at a boutique when I was up north in the bay area.
I thought this idea was so cool,
and the jewelry was so simple and fun.

Funny to see Urban Outfitter's trending on twitter yesterday,
getting blasted for completely stealing the design (down to the name)
from independent artist, Stevie Koerer who sells them on Etsy.
She also blogged about it herself here.

I went on UO's site to check it out,
but it looks like they aren't selling them anymore.

Got to catch Prince last Friday night here at the Forum in Inglewood for his 21 Nite Stand.

Despite the fact that I had food poisoning from eating McDonalds the day before,
I had an AMAZING time, and I was thankful that God gave me the energy to party!

My highlights:

1. POP LIFE to open the set. I looooooove this song.

2. Stevie!!! He surprised the crowd and sang.

3. After the lights came on, and the band disbanded, dancers left the stage, confetti was all over the place, and people began leaving, Prince comes back on stage and performs the most amazing set ever. It was already past midnight..."We can be here all night...i got too many hits!" um...yea you do!

This picture is of the our president and his staff watching Osama Bin Laden being killed in Abbottabad.

This is the same image printed in a Brooklyn-based Orthodox Jewish newspaper, Der Tzitung, except the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and another woman were photoshopped out of the image. The policies of this newspaper are controlled by a Rabbinical board, and because of the laws of modesty, they cannot print pictures of women.

Editor forgot to read the fine print accompanied with this image that states it "may not be manipulated in any way"
