Shop for a cause at the H.E.A.R.T. Market is a socially-conscious bazaar held on the 2nd weekend of every month at Sculpture Square, Middle Road. Its missions are two-fold: (1) to be an effective avenue for handicrafters, artists, and you…ng retail talents to showcase their designs and products and (2) to serve as an effective publicity and fundraising platform for charities and welfare societies.

Every month, the organisers from Calamine Solutions will feature a charity organisation, and allocate about 15% of its stalls to that charity free-of-charge. For those who love to shop for a cause, the H.E.A.R.T. market is the place to visit for every second weekend of the month. The items purchased by you will either encourage young entrepreneurs in their budding entrepreneurship career, or support the fundings of the featured charities.

This November, the H.E.A.R.T. market will be featuring Very Special Arts (VSA) Singapore and Friends of the Disabled Society (FDS) and Student Advisory Centre, charitable organisations which seek to provide individuals with disabilities with the opportunities to access the arts for the purposes of rehabilitation and social integration or to raise funds for youths from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Together, all our tenants will be showcasing:

Bags, Handbags

Art Pieces (Paintings, Sculptures, Photos)

Art aficionados can look forward to indulging in a visual arts feast at the upcoming international premium art fair - ARTSingapore 2009. An annual showcase and in its ninth-year running, it will be held from 8-12 Oct 2009 at Suntec Singapore (International Convention and Exhibition Centre). Exciting new additions include the Asia International Photography Fair (AIPF), the region’s first contemporary photo-based artworks fair, and NEW FINDS - an international forum for Artists’ career development.

While AIPF looks to meet the emerging demand for imagery and photographical art forms (e.g. digital imagery and photography, from contemporary art galleries and independent photographers), NEW FINDS will seek to address the challenges emerging artists and art galleries face in this economic climate. This is also the only major art fair in Southeast Asia which attracts serious art collectors as well as regional art connoisseurs.

For more information, email info@artsingapore.net or call (+65) 6235 4113.
