Can you learn everything about Photoshop in one hour? Not a chance! But you absolutely can learn just the stuff you need to know in Photoshop that you can’t already do in Lightroom. This is a really eye-opening session. If you’ve ever thought, “Ya know, I really need to start using Photoshop…” this class will blow your mind (mostly, because you’ll find out that as powerful as Photoshop is, with the methods you’ll pick up, learning it is much, much easier than you’d think).

Expanding Lightroom’s Power

3:15PM – 4:00PM

There is a lot more to Lightroom than just organizing and editing, and in this session Scott’s going to uncover the techniques and features that unlock Lightroom’s full potential. You’ll learn everything from how to make photo books, to how to create pro-looking print layouts. Plus how to do real client web proofing, how to shoot tethered, which 3rd party plugins to use (and why), and you’ll wrap up learning Scott’s start-to-finish Lightroom workflow. Is a parking pass included with registration?

Unfortunately, parking passes or fees (or other transportation costs) are not included with your registration.

Parking garages, lots, or spaces near the seminar may charge for parking, and prices may vary. Please be sure to plan ahead in case of city or private parking fees.

Is lunch provided?

Sorry, but no. During the seminar you will have 1 hour mid-day for lunch, which is spent as free time.

Many convention centers do offer cafés and restaurants on the premises, and many do not. We suggest bringing a lunch and snacks for the day, or locating restaurants within walking distance of the seminar. Our staff will also try to let attendees know about surrounding restaurants on the day of the event.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Casual attire (such as jeans, shorts, t-shirts, etc.) is absolutely allowed. Be comfortable!

Please keep in mind, however, that many convention center rooms and other venues we may host our seminars in can be quite chilly, so it's a good idea to bring along a sweater or jacket in case it's needed.

Will I get a good seat?

Seating is provided on a first-come-first-served basis. Our doors open for registration at 9:00am, but please don't feel rushed to get a "good seat". Our classrooms offer balanced sound throughout, and we present on large, bright video projection screens that are easily visible from any seat.

Our seminar settings are arranged "classroom-style", meaning that you'll be very comfortable with a chair and space to write or place your belongings.

Will I need to bring a notepad?

Nope! All of our seminar tours offer detailed workbooks which outline each step-by-step technique and tutorial taught in the classroom. We want you to sit back and enjoy your day of learning, without feeling like you need to scramble to take notes.

(If you really want to take notes, however, you're more than welcome to bring a pen and notepad!)

Can I record the seminar?

No. We strictly prohibit any video or voice recordings during our seminars.

Will you have interpreting services for the hearing impaired?

Will I be able to speak to the instructor?

Of course! One of the best things about our seminars is the opportunity to speak face-to-face with Scott, the instructor. Ask your most-pressing Lightroom questions, get your books autographed, or simply take a photo with him!

You'll also be given plenty of time for this, during breaks, lunch, and after the event. This is one of Scott's favorite elements of the seminars, as well—so be sure to stop by the stage and say hi!
