Glossy Reflections in Photoshop

Step 1: First of all, Choose a Picture you want to create a reflection.

Step 2: Make a selection by using Pen Tool. See in the picture below.Then Create a new layer(Shift+Ctrl+N) and select Inverse(Shift+Ctrl+I) and fill it with white..

Step 3: Flatten the image then duplicate it by right clicking on layer and select duplicate Layer.Now duplicate the banana by using the magic wand and selecting the white part.Right click>layer via copy.

Step 4: Now Go to Image>Canvas Size and increase the vertical size(Apply setting according to your image)

Step 5: Make a new layer, and fill it with white, then place it at the very bottom.Go to Edit>Transform>Flip Vertical. Then select the transparent parts of the layer with the magic wand tool, then go to select>inverse.

Step 6:With the banana selected, make a new layer; place it on top of the reflected banana layer.Choose the gradient tool, and make sure that your background/foreground colors are black and white.
Check the "reverse" box.Make a new layer, and drag the gradient tool from the top of your selection to the bottom.

Step 7: Now set the blend mode to screen and lower the opacity to 80%

Step 1: First take a polygon lasso tool, select subtract from selection from property bar & take feather 2 px. Now carefully select particular area as I shown in. Copy that selection (Ctrl+C) & paste it (Ctrl+V).

Step 2: Now invisible original layer & let’s work on our paste face layer. Now go to Filter->Blur->Smart Blur.

Take Radius=7.65, Threshold=36.2, Quality=High & Mode=Normal. To add little fineness add some Gaussian blur radius=1.9 pixels. You will get something like this...

Step 3: After finishing the effect, merge face layer & your original layer (Ctrl+E). Then duplicate your layer (Ctrl+J) & desaturate it (Ctrl+Shift+U). Then go to filter-distort-diffuse glow.Graininess=3, glow amount=6 & clear amount=20.You will get something like this...

Step 4: Then go to image-Adjustment-Hue/Saturation. Select colorize Hue=22, Saturation=25, Lightness=0. Then change blending mode of layer to overlay & keep opacity to 56%.

Step 5: Now go to image-adjustment-levels. Then click on options & you’ll get auto color correction dialogue box. In that box, in target colors & clipping, click on shadow color & set color #454542 & in highlight, set color #8f7356.

Step 6: Now duplicate original layer & place at the top. Change its blending mode to soft light. Again duplicate original layer & place at top, change its blending mode to overlay & opacity to 19%.

Step 7: Take a new layer. Take a suitable brush to paint her lips. Take a nice color for her lips, I take #ff532b & paint her lips carefully. Change its blending mode to color burn & opacity 26% .

Step 8: Again take a new layer & fill it with color #ffae00. Change its blending mode to soft light & its opacity to 15%. Here we get this nice photo effect , I hope you like it.

Maikng 3D Water Scapes

Step 1 : Create a new document, select a light shade of blue, saturated to 100% for you foreground color.Select white for your background color.Either use a cloud filter to create a cloud texture over the entire image, or fill with your foreground color and paint in the clouds with white using a large soft brush.

Step 2: Select Image>Adjustments>curves.

Adjust the curves so the blue becomes darker.The curves option allows you to maintain the hue and saturation of the image while darkening the midtones.

It will look something like this

Step 3: Select the bottom two thirds of the image. Copy to a new layer and darken -50 as below. Darkening the image will allow the highlights of the water to be better targeted by the Plastic Wrap filter.

select Filter>Artistic>Plastic Wrap and apply the settings below.

It will look something like this

Step 4: Zoom out enough to be able to see at least 100% of the image size on either side of the canvas.

Select Edit>Transform>Perspective and stretch the bottom anchors so that the bottom selection is 300% longer than the image, or 100% longer on either side.

Step 5 : Using the liquify command or the smudge tool, smear some bumps and valleys up and down along the highlights of the water. Only apply the effect vertically, using a smaller brush as you ascend along the image. This will give more definition and form to the surface of the water. If applied properly, the highlights will appear as if they are catching the light at the tops of these bumps, rather than just being painted on a flat surface.

Step 6: Now, restore the brightness of the image, but keep it a bit darker than the sky.Stretch the bottom image about 30 percent horizontally. This will relax your new bumps and enhance the perspective of the water.

Step 7 : Select the portion of the sky that is visible above the water layer. Adjust the perspective so that the top anchors are 50% longer on either side of the image, or 100% longer than the original image.

Step 8 : Using a soft brush, lighten a portion of the sky. This bright blotch should not be completely white or completely round.The object is to make it appear as if the light is breaking through and interacting with the clouds. Using a smaller, harder brush, whiten the center of the lightened area.

Step 9: Do the same on the surface of the water. Be sure to measure the distance of the lightened area of the sky, and create the water highlight the same distance below the horizon.

Add some seagulls and your done!

Making of a Rain Drop Photoshop Tutorial

Step 1:Open any image that you want to add rain drops too. In order to make this look more realistic, use image of a green leaf.

Step 2: Create a new layer named Drop1 and select the Elliptical Marquee Tool and make a selection which looks like a drop on the leaf.

Step 3: Next set press D on your keyboard to set the foreground color to black and the background color to white, or you can do this manually.

After resetting these colors, select the Gradient Tool from the Tools Palette. In the tool options bar at the top of the screen, make sure that the first button, linear gradient is selected and that the foreground to background gradient is selected.

Now that the proper Gradient Tool settings have been selected, drag the mouse from the left side of the

selected oval to the right.

Step 4: With the Drop 1 layer selected, change this layer's blend mode to Overlay in the Layers Palette.

Step 5: Next right-click on the Drop 1 layer and select Blending Options. Apply the following Drop Shadow settings: Opacity 50, Angle 158, Distance 7, Spread 0, and Size 5.

Step 6: Apply the following Inner Shadow settings: Opacity 75, Angle 158, Distance 5, Spread 0, and Size 5.

Step 7: For the Glow Effect, create a new layer named Glow and set the foreground color to white. Then select the Brush Tool and make a small dot in the drop. Here is the final effect:

For making the curved drops select the Drop 1 layer then go to Filter > Liquify and make appropriate shape and click OK.

Step1: First of all create a new file and write something .

Step2: Now select the marquee tool and make a selection on the text.

Step3: Create a new layer now

Step4: Click on layer1 now right click on the text and choose fill.Now Select white from option and click ok.

Step5: Now deselect the selection or press Crl+d.
Right click on layer 1 and choose Create Clipping Mask.

Open an image or source you are going to work on.

Cut out the frog and paste it on the face like shown below.

Add a layer mask to the frog layer and mask the unnecessary parts.After that click on Menu/Layer/Remove Layer Mask/Apply.

Select the tongue from face layer and copy it on to a new layer and put it between the face and frog.Lower the opacity of frog layer to 40% just to keep it visible and transform the tongue layer to fit the frog.

Now Ctrl+Click the frog layer to make selection and fill the selected areas on the tongue layer with clone tool.

Now inverse and delete it. Then Deselect and resize and rotate the tongue if necessary and blend lower edge with face layer using layer mask or clone tool.

Noe create a new layer below the tongue and paint black shadow around the tongue with a small brush.
Apply Gaussian Blur Filter 2 px and set layer blending mode to Soft Layer.

Create new layer above tongue layer, Ctrl + Click the tongue layer and paint shadows inside the selection.Deselect,apply Gaussian Blur and set blending mode to Soft Layer.

Step 1 : Remove Shadow
1- First of all open an image and copy it on to a new layer.

Step 2 : Remove Shadow
1- Select pen tool and create a path like shown in image below.

Step 3 : Remove Shadow
1- Click on icon to load pah as a selection.Then right click on selected path in paths palette and select make selection.

Step 4 : Remove Shadow
1- Move back to layers palette.
2- Select the copy layer and click on add vector mask icon at bottom.
3- It will create mask like shown in image.

Step 5 : Remove Shadow
1- Create a new layer from original layer.
2- Select newly created layer and go back to paths palette and right click on path and select make selection.
3- After doing that move back to layers palette.

Step 6 : Remove Shadow
1-Select the copy layer and click on edit in Quick Mask Mode and invert the selection .

Step 7 : Remove Shadow
1- Select paint tool and paint the area which has no shadow , see image.

Step 8 : Remove Shadow
1- Click on edit in quick mask mode and only the selection will remain.
2- Click and drag the selection towards the image .
3- Uncheck the visibility of original layer or layer 1 in image.
4- Crop the area which remains.

Removing Background Around Hair | Easy Photoshop Tutorial

First of all open an image and unlock the layer by double clicking on it.

Select the Background Eraser tool and erase the area around the picture like its done in the picture below

Create a new layer and put it below the image layer or Layer 0 in layer Pallet

Click on the icon of Create new fill like shown in the image and fill it with a solid color

The image is filled with the solid color

Select Layer 0 or image layer then select the Background Eraser Tool and fill the white area around the hair and the other white parts of image.

Select the Burn Tool and burn the remaining white places around the hair.

After Burning The image you will get the image shown below and you can change background by simply going on the color fill 1 layer.

After seeing several of the motion contests, I think most of the mistakes have to do with incorrect subject focus or just plain "overdoing it." I tried to address both issues here. Hope some of you find this useful...
For starters, there are several perspectives you can take when setting a picture to motion. Take the following race car pic in its original form

You can choose to set yourself in motion but the result is usually not appropriate for what we are trying to do.

While realistic... this would be the view if your head was traveling at 100 mph.Instead, consider how things would look if you were actually taking a picture. You would set either the car (foreground) or the road and trees (background) as the focal point of the image.

If your focus was more distant (the trees perhaps), then the car would appear as the moving component in the image, like this

For this tutorial, we will go with the background as our point of focus Step 1: Using the polygonal lasso tool, crop out your car from the background

Cut and paste the cropped car into a new layer so that only the background remains

Since a true moving object appears semi-transparent around the edges, we will need to clone in some of the edges where we cut the car out.Select your cloning tool and set the opacity to about 75%. Begin carefully cloning in the egdes so that you have a smaller exposed (cleared) area with somewhat fuzzy edges.

Our last step is to select the car shape we originally cut out and use the motion blur tool to set it in motion.

Make sure the direction of the blur is consistent with the direction the car is actually traveling in. Be cautious not to overdo things here... your car is not traveling at light speed! A setting of 15-20 pixels will probably be enough
