    * Work closely with the development and other teams to identify improvements in tools, processes, procedures, installation, configuration and troubleshooting techniques.<br />

Experience & Qualifications Required:<br />

    * At least 5 years experience in a system administrator role, this will ideally include the maintenance of web-based systems at a small, growing company.<br />
    * Proven experience in installation and configuration of computer hardware and software including but not limited to servers, web servers, desktop operating systems/applications and network hardware and software.<br />
    * Experience of database tuning to optimize performance.<br />
    * Proven ability to learn and deploy new systems quickly and reliably.<br />
    * Experience of cloud-based architecture would be a plus.<br />
    * Understanding of massively scalable architectures.<br />
<br />
Skills & Attributes Required:<br />
<br />
    * Linux (preferably CentOS, RedHat Enterprise or Fedora), MySQL including replication.<br />
    * Experience of Apache, Nagios, Trac, Subversion.<br />
    * Knowledge of virtualisation (possibly including, but not limited to, Amazon EC2 and S3 or other cloud-based systems) would be beneficial.<br />
    * Excellent scripting and SQL skills<br />
    * Familiarity with SANs would be useful.<br />
    * Understanding of HTTP, SMTP, SSL is important, along with, ideally, LDAP & SNMP<br />
    * Ability to work on own initiative.<br />
    * Concise clear written communication skills (ideally demonstrated in your CV!) and excellent verbal communication ability.<br />
    * Positive pro-active approach to solving problems.<br />
    * Enthusiastic and posses a willingness to learn quickly<br />
