Thailand is a beautiful kingdom full of warm, friendly people and amazing natural sites. No wonder it’s called the land of smiles, it’s a pace where anyone can find happiness. There are tons of places to visit for nearly every kind of traveler. Check out our list of amazing and fun things to do in Thailand while you’re there!

Go on a Temple Run

Although not as popular as the temples in Angkor Wat, Cambodia, Thailand also boasts a good number of beautiful temples to visit and explore during your stay there. Visit the stunning towers at Wat Arun, explore the grounds of the Grand Palace, home to Wat Phra Kaew, and see Thailand’s largest reclining Buddha statue in Wat Pho. Lastly, don’t forget to check out Wat Benchamabophitr or “The Marble Temple.” Check with the rules, because alot of places are limitations on where you can take your service animal.

Soak Up Some Sun and Get Ready to Party

Thailand is known for its beautiful beaches that serve as great spots to enjoy the sun for a sunbathing session and for swimming in its beautiful blue waters. However, Thailand beaches are also known for their wild and crazy parties. Tons of Thailand beaches, like Patong Beach in Phuket, Haad Rin in Koh Pha Ngan, and Lamai Beach in Samui, are notorious for driving troves of locals and tourists alike to celebrate the night with lots of alcohol and dancing.

Get Some Retail Therapy

Thailand is a great place to go shopping as practically everything is sold for very, very cheap. Visit the Platinum Shopping Mall or Central Mall for the high end stuff, and visit Chatuchak for just about everything else. Chatuchak is the world’s largest weekend market and you can get practically everything you need from clothes, bags, and shoes, to exotic pets and even antique trinkets. Khao San road is also a favorite tourist destination and is frequently called the backpacker’s haven.

Visit the Elephants

For animal lovers out there who have first thought coming to Thailand was to see the beloved elephants, you can visit the elephants at the Elephant Kraal Pavilion. Here you can explore the historical significance of these majestic creatures to the culture of Thailand back in the old days. Training is key with these animals. They have years of training to get them to respond well to their trainers. The same can be said for your dog training.

Get a Massage

Spas abound Thailand and almost wherever you go you will find a spa ready to take you in. Get a relaxing and invigorating massage after a long of traveling and exploring their wonderful country. There is nothing quite like getting an authentic Thai massage from an authentic Thai masseuse!

There are tons of other fun and exciting thing to do and see in Thailand. All you have to do is keep an open mind and open heart to their interesting and vibrant culture and heritage. Thailand is deeply rooted in its religion and it shows in the simplicity and love for life that its people has.

Enjoy Thailand and you will have one of the most unforgettable experiences of your life!

Traveling is becoming a new trend these days. If you scroll through Instagram these days you will find countless posts of friends and strangers going on weekend adventures to far-off destinations or nearby “secret spots”. This is a good thing because traveling helps expand our understanding of the world around us and broadens our knowledge of the cultures of other people. Traveling is also a great way to escape from the hustle and bustle of busy city life and it can help us recharge to get back on track with work and school. However, not everyone can afford to travel regularly… or so you think. Many people are under the impression that traveling is costly so we have come prepared with a list of ways to cut down on travel costs so you can still enjoy the benefits of traveling without worrying about burning a hole through your pocket!

Carpool to Your Destination

If there is no way to commute to your destination or if you have too much stuff to bring that you really need a car, consider carpooling with friends or even strangers! Carpooling will help you cut down on gas costs by a significant amount, and gas costs do take up a lot of your money when you travel by car. Invite your friends on your trips or use carpooling apps that connect people going similar ways so you can cut down on gas costs!

Skip the Hotel

If you’re on a tight budget you don’t need to stay in a hotel to enjoy your vacation. Immerse yourself in local culture by couch surfing or staying at a transient home. If you have trust issues or aren’t entirely comfortable with staying in a stranger’s house, try looking for B&Bs, inns, or hostels nearby. They are usually much cheaper than hotels and still provide a close enough level of comfort. Often you can stay at a house with a one cup coffee maker, or toaster oven.

Plan Your Meals

Before you even leave the house, do a little research to familiarize yourself with the restaurants nearby where you’re going. Know where it’s cheaper to eat and know which places to avoid if you’re on a budget so you won’t waste time and money aimlessly looking for a good place to eat! Smoothies make great plan ahead meals, having a travel blender will help that.

Go During Off Season

Everything is much more expensive during the peak seasons so if you really want to go to Boracay badly avoid going during their summer time lest you want to spend way too much on accommodations and food. Also, peak season means tons and tons of people will be there too. That beautiful sunset everyone’s talking about is only really beautiful if you can actually see it.

Many people think that traveling is surely expensive. But if you’re vigilant and you know where to cut costs then you will be able to survive your vacation even on a limited budget. One last tip is to avoid the frequently visited tourist spots and get off the beaten path. Not only is it much cheaper, it’s also much more interesting as you get less of the commercialized view of your destination and get more of that local culture you’ve been dying to explore.

Known also for its vibrant culture, largely Buddhist demographic, beautiful lantern festivals, and spicy hot food, Thailand is a favorite tourist destination for those who want to explore a side to Asia that is welcoming to tourists but also different in culture and ways. But another thing Thailand boasts aside from its interesting and colorful culture are its pristine waters and beautiful beaches. Phuket is known as one of the best places to go if you’re searching for a great beach to vacation to. Beach seekers worry no more as we have a list of Thailand’s best beaches.

Hua Hin Beach, Hua Hin

Not too far from Bangkok is the popular and populous Hua Hin Beach. A wide stretch of beach and sand makes this beach ideal for families with kids and tourists who are not really looking for a lot of wild and crazy adventures. Laze around and have a nice, relaxing time in Hua Hin Beach!

Railey Beach, Krabi

There’s not a lot to do on Railey Beach as it is simply a place for rock climbers and snorkelers to enjoy, but you can also sit back and take in the gorgeous view around you as beautiful cliffs and sparkling blue waters abound this beach. Exclusively accessible only through boat, don’t expect too many visitors here, as it is quite a remote spot for tourists.

Patong Beach, Phuket

Just like in Hawaii where their beaches are just walking distance away from the mainland full of shopping centers, restaurants, and hotels, Patong Beach is the best place for those who want it all. There is also a hugely popular nightlife scene on this beach, so club-goers looking for a whole new party experience better book your trips to Patong Beach now as it gets full pretty quickly.

Haad Rin, Koh Pha Ngan

For hardcore party-goers who are tired of the party scene in Phuket, you can head over to Haad Rin to enjoy the famous Full Moon Parties. Locals and foreigners travel to Haad Rin for a whole night of non-stop drinking, partying, and dancing. Haad Rin is also great for swimming and sunbathing, that is, if you’re not yet drunk from all the partying the night before!

Lamai Beach, Samui

For a more tamed party beach where you can enjoy the scenery or go for a nice swim, Lamai Beach is another beach you can visit if you happen to go to Samui. It’s somewhat the right balance of party beach and vacation spot, so whatever you’re feeling like doing on that day you can choose to either go all out and party or just kick back and relax.

These are just a few of Thailand’s best and most often visited beaches. There are literally dozens of other fun and interesting beaches around Thailand that are also worth visiting. There are even some beaches that are only familiar to locals but provide the very best sand and clear blue waters. So if you’ve explored each one of these amazing beaches, better to ask a local to take you to their favorite spot so you can add another great beach to this list!

Need to make some cash before heading out on your beach trip. Check out Liberty Cash for Gold or skip out on your next tattoo so you don’t have to go to Blast my Ink.
