The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine seeks an additional faculty member. The selected candidate must be board certified or eligible in obstetrics and gynecology as well as gynecologic oncology. In this position you will be involved with patient care along with resident and medical student education.

Essential duties include establishing a strong liaison with community physicians and regional hospitals. Additionally, you will be expected to help develop and participate in an active research program encompassing basic, translational and/or clinical investigations. The new faculty member will also play a crucial role in their newly established SIU Simmons Cooper Cancer Institute where multi-disciplinary interactions are expected. A faculty appointment is available at the Assistant, Associate or full Professor level based upon experience and track record. Salary will be commensurate with experience, and experienced candidates should earn in the 90th percentile. Gary Johnson, M.D., the Division Chief is committed to building a nationally recognized program at SIU. Their goal is to develop a 3-4 person gynecology oncology division with a regional referral base of over 5 million people in Central and Southern Illinois.
