Activities

Mother's Day Picnic: Find a beautiful and peaceful setting, such as a nearby park are nature area. Lay out a blanket and unpack a picnic basket. Make sure to plan for the weather, such as going to a park that has a gazebo or tables with an overhead covering, or have an alternate plan in place.

A gift that was created from one's own effort is almost always more appreciated and cherished than anything you can buy at the store.

Put on a show: Practice some songs and drama skits and put on a variety show for Mom. If you have any creative juice in you, create your own material. Record it with a video camera for an everlasting memory.

Create a blog: Make some clip art and put it on a blog or website. Write about how much you love and appreciate Mom.

I was given the opportunity to review 2 sets of headphones from Kidz Gear.

I have been searching for the perfect headphones for my children since we got our TV/DVD player in our car. I have tried letting the kids wear my headphones but that quickly came to an end when they wouldn't fit them. So I went ahead and bought them a cheap pair of headphones and that too came to an end because they were broke the first day! I quickly became frustrated and decided to search the web where I came across an awesome website, Kidz Gear. I was thrilled when they allowed me to review 2 of their headphones, the Wireless IR car headphones & the Wired headphones that includes inline remote/mic audio control.

Wireless IR Car Headphones for Kids

These headphones are very comfortable, durable, flexible, and adjustable. All you do is put in 2 AAA batteries and you are good to go! There were no other additional steps or process. These headphones are to be used in the car (with any DVD system) or at home (with any home TV or stereo sound system). What I love most about these headphones are the features. It has volume control on ear-cup, power on/off on ear-cup, automatic power off, automatic muting, uniquely sized ear-cups for children, and comfort padding. My children just love these headphones and they are sure to grab them before we leave the house everyday.

Kidz Gear Wired Headphones For Kids – Includes Inline Remote/Mic Audio Control

These headphones are perfect for any child that uses an Apple product such as an iPod, iPhone, or an iPad, but it does include an adapter in case you have a different device. These headphones, like the ones above, are also comfortable, flexible, and durable. I was given the opportunity to review Giani Granite Paint kit.

Since I rent my house I decided to let my parents use this. My dad did this when I was not there and did not take any before or after pictures, of course! that's my dad for ya!. Anyways, as soon as I can get over to their house I will be taking the after pictures and posting them in my review.

Now let's get on with the review shall we. Well to being this kit came with a DVD for you to watch to give you a good visual and tips on how to apply the paint. My dad was glad the DVD was there or else he would of been clueless on what to do! lol.

The first step was the primer. To apply the primer all you have to do is roll it on the counter top with a roller. After this was done your counter tops will be black in color (looks pretty awesome that way also, but my dad did decide to go onto the next step after just admiring the primer and after letting it dry some)

The next step you will apply 3 different colors to get the granite look. The kit comes with a sponge for you to dab the colors on with. The colors are all labeled with which step they go in, so it was pretty easy knowing which to apply first.

The third step is the clear finish. The clear finish is what makes your counter tops shine. This last step you will use the second roller they give you in your kit and roll it on. This step will require two coats.

Looking at your counter tops after doing this is amazing! My parent's kitchen looks brand new! The best part about all of this is that it is really inexpensive! Transform your counter tops without spending thousands of dollars!!

You start off by picking a word from the deck of cards. You then have to try and make whatever your card says by using string, glass beads, colored cubes, marbles, wooden sticks and more, which is included. I know you are probably thinking, what a piece of cake, right? WRONG! It is more of a challenge than you really think. I say this because it will ask you to do it one handed, with your eyes closed, or only with string. Now that is something huh!?! I must admit this game is very addicting and loads of fun!

Each game includes 480 cards, 50 pieces of material, a timer, a die and team pieces. It retails for around $30.

When my fiance first received these shoes he was super happy! It's not very often that I find something for him to review for me. So he was like a kid on Christmas morning when these shoes came! As soon as he took them out of the box within a matter of seconds the boots were on his feet. I couldn't help but laugh a little as he strode around the house in his new boots! He is in love with them. He wears them everyday and he can't stop talking about how comfortable they are. He is a bit sad though that when the weather starts to get warm he has to put them up until next winter.

At first my fiance thought that the boots were going to be a bit heavy for him but to his surprise they fit him perfectly, so I can easily say that Lugz boots are true to size. As I mentioned above he stated they were very comfortable and that is because they are made with gull grain Nubuck leather/suede. I would easily recommend Lugz to everyone! The boots my fiance got to review retail for $99.99. And I will let you all know that these boots are worth every penny!

They are also by far my most comfortable shoe I own! I swear it feels like you are basically walking barefoot! I love how they are so stylish and so comfortable. Another thing that I should mention is that the USA Dawgs shoes start at a size 5 for a women and go up to a size 11.
