Hello everyone

Today I will be talking about Korres Lip Butter. I came across this while I was doing a bit of food shopping, ladies you know what I mean; you have to always go down the hair and beauty bit!

I was at a different supermarket so it was even more tempting than usual, that was when I came across this lip butter. I've heard of Korres before even though I always get it mixed up with Kiehl! It sounds the same in my head! So I had to buy it! It looked like it could be good, so why not try it, right? Well yes in my case, I'm sure you guys have more self control than I do! :P

Right well that was the back story so lets talk lip butter...

I bought the Jasmine one and it looks like this.

Korres Lip Butter, Jasmine

This is a great product it makes my lips feels all nice and soft and when its dry it makes it better. ( ^ - ^ )

It really does help especially when the weather is getting cooler, I mean you don't want horrible dry and cracked lips now do you? Of course, when they advertise the product as Jasmine lip butter you expect it to smell like it at least a little right? Well this really did not smell like it!! It actually smells more like sweet coco butter. So a let down on that aspect but all in all the lip butter does work.

For each scent there are different colours and this is in a nude colour, even though the picture makes it looks more peachy.

I would definitely recommend using this over Vaseline, I say this because Vaseline dries out the middle bit of my lips, do you know what I mean? Don't get me wrong I still use Vaseline but I just don't use it during the day; at night however its another story! If I have dry lips from forgetting my lip balm at home or get too lazy of putting it on every 5 minutes then I put a generous amount on before I go to sleep and when I wake up my lips are all soft and smooth again. ( ^ _ ^ )

So then the final question... Do I recommend this???

Maybe! So Yes for the quality of product and No because of the lack of smell! I mean maybe the other scents actually smell like what they're supposed to smell like... if that's the case then YES!!

That's my verdict of the product, try it if you want ^_^

Well that's all for now

xoxo

Hello everyone

It been awhile since my last post so this one will be an update of what I've been up to. ( ^ - ^ )

So as you might have guessed I am FINALLY a graduate!!! I graduated this week!! It was all so nerve racking! I honestly don't remember the person in front of me or anyone behind me until I sat down.

Anyway less of that and more of this... the advice section!

So what you will need to do before you graduate are:

book your graduation ticket

book gowns (make sure you select the right one!)

find and book hotel

sort out transport, to location and venue

parent's credit card at hand! :P

When your there you will need to get your gowns, someone will dress you, make sure everything fits well especially the hat! You will also NEED SAFETY PINS I didn't take any with me (cause I forgot) and my gowns kept slipping back and that was very annoying! Girls I also recommend taking some hair grips so you can secure the hats, guys I don't know what to suggest if you have long hair then hair grips if not well just make sure it fit and stays if you turn your head fast ish!

If your reading this and your in America your probably thing what is wrong with this person its only graduation!!!! Well the answer is in England the first time you graduate is when you are graduating from University!

So here are some photos :D

Getting the gown fitted

Making sure the hat fits

Still making sure (after this I went back to get a different one) :P

That was honestly one of the best days of my life! Hope you feel the same when you graduate. ( ^ - ^ )

Hello everyone!!!

I have been begging for mum and sister for a pair of ghd hair straighteners for ages now, when I say ages I mean it! I finally have it and its beautiful!!!!!!! I'm in love, so in love. ( ^ - ^ )

I have the Scarlet Deluxe Collection.

It comes with a travel hairdryer, two hair grips and of course the straightener. When it arrives it came in this massive box, like really big, and when I was opening it I could not stop smiling! That's how excited I was. Anyway it was in a red box and inside that was a red purse where the products were in, I think their main focus with this product was for easy travel so everything fits into the red purse. One word BEAUTIFUL!

I have of course used ghds before that's why I wanted it, they straighten your hair really well and it lasts for a few days, well it did with my hair so that may vary with hair type. I have quite think and kind of straight hair so I didn't really need it but it's just one of those things that you really want and you have to have! But nevertheless I am happy with it. I got it when ghd were promoting their new Pink Cherry Blossom Styler, so it wasn't as expensive as it would normally have been.

Anyway lets talk how good it is.

It takes 30 seconds or something like that to heat up to the maximum heat and it beeps at you when its ready to use, and it has a 30 minutes auto turn off just in case you forget. Its a really good feature I mean you don't wanna burn your house down right, LOLS. Like I said earlier it keeps my hair almost perfectly straight for two to three days and if I curled it would last about the same, so ultimately your using less heat on your hair so its better for your hair, right?!?! ( ^ - ~ )

Well I don't really know what else to say, its a great pair of straighteners it maybe expensive but its worth the investment! If your considering buying ghds then DO IT!!!! If your considering and think its too expensive then stick with the one you've got, but think of it this way if your buying a new pair of straighteners every so often then you might as well save that little bit of money for something that won't break so easily.

Well I love my ghds, hope you love it too, if you get one or have one already.

Until next time.

xoxo

Maybe!

Hello everyone

So today is a lush day in the English country side. That sun is shining and the landscape is truly beautiful. (^-^).

So as the title suggest I'm going to be taking about my experience as a gardener. This summer my sister and I thought it would be a good idea to try out this whole self sufficient thing and be a lil bit nicer to earth. We planted some salad plants, you know the usual water cress and rockets, chillies, herbs, tomatoes, potatoes and pumpkin, giant pumpkin that is!

First of all we failed to notice that the label on the pumpkin said 'giant pumpkin' so it is currently ginormous! It's got these super cute little pumpkins growing at the ends at the moment, super cute. Check out the photos below. I'm sorry if it isn't there I'm blogging from my phone for the first time and I don't really know how things work. Oh well bare with me ;P

Any who as I said earlier we didn't know it was going to get so big and start climbing other plants (also check out photos below) I think I can safely say that that was a failed attempt!!

Tiny Pumpkin

Giant Pumpkin ;)

Next thing that we didn't do so well on was keeping the slugs out of beloved plant. The salads were well all eaten by them (T-T). I blame the lame summer we've had so far! Rain, Rain, Rain = slugs!!!! I know you can use slug repellents but they're not so good for the environment and your health, you are eating it after all!

Slug eaten salad plants

So the next thing that didn't go to plan were the tomatoes! We planted two different types, normal tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. I feel super stupid for saying this but I planted it in a pot that didn't have a hole at the bottom so that there won't be excess water at the bottom, so sadly it died! Before it died it gave me so much hope, it had loads of flowers that would eventually be tomatoes. (T-T)

And then there was the cherry tomatoes in the picture below it looks like its dying but its not I just have to water it and it will be back to its old self again!

Half dead Cherry Tomatoes

So then the sort of success that we had were the herbs and chilies plant. Although sort of failed on the coriander side but we'll let that one slide. We planted it in our old BBQ that we don't use anymore so here we are attempting to recycle old good ( ^ - ~ )

BBQ Herbs

Chilies!!!

There are little chilies on the one on the left, just in case you can't see it :P

OOOHHHHHH!!!! I miss something super important out!!! We planted an APPLE TREE!! It looks all dreamy in the picture but it is an apple tree and we're not expecting any fruits from it this year as we only just got it and its tiny! So hopefully next year it will have an apple or two on it. ^ - ^

Dreamy Apple Tree

Well that was our attempt at being sufficient, didn't work that well but we have had some success so to me it was a good attempt and well done to us, if I may say so!

Have you tried to grow anything this summer? Was it successful? And if you have any tips for us that we could use for next year then please let me know, I need it as you can probably tell by now. :P

PS I had to finish this post on my laptop the photos were not what I wanted so I had to change and adapt it!

And in the pictures the plants looks try because it is!! I hate this whole hosepipe ban thing, yeah so much for the ban there are plenty of floods because the government are stupid! Sorry a lil rant there!

Well then until next time.

xoxo

Hello everyone,

Today I was sorting out all my travelling and toiletry bags and realised that majority of what I own is Cath Kidston. ( 0 - 0 )

Well I do love all their pretty patterns and they are really good quality too! I took them to uni for four years and Africa and they survived! That's how good they are. Let me just say that for some reason I tend to break things easily don't ask me why, it just happens; so of course I've had many, many, many toiletry bags.

I have to say though my love extends to their other products too, I love old country style. OK, I'll say it, I'm a country pumpkin!

I'm not showing off of what I have I'm just saying their really good quality and if your considering buying them them I would have to say go ahead. ( ^ . ^ )

I have the pink polka dots collection which I think have been discontinued, very sad! But no fear there are plenty of other beautiful ones out there. I'll list what I have and give you my opinion of them :D

OK here goes brace yourself for pretty country things.

Large Travel Pouch: Trailing Floral

Cosmetic Bag: Pink Circle Ditsy

                                                            2 Fold Toiletry Bag: Dots

So I actually have more but I can't find the pictures so bare with me. First the large travel pouch you can pretty much fit everything in it, yes its that big! The last time I used it was when I went to see my friend in Birmingham and I had shampoo and conditioner and various other beauty products that we ladies need and it all fits! When I say shampoo I mean the full size stuff and the tiny winy travel size stuff. ( ^ - ~ )

(I also have the large wash bag they are pretty much the same apart from the wash bag has a zip on the outside of it) Here's what it looks like, just found it!

The down side to all of Cath Kidston is that the inside of these bags are white, yes WHITE!!!!!! Mine are all stained with makeup and shampoo so they have the 'used' or 'really used' look on them, LOL. I joke but this is true and it can really bothers some people, if it bothers you that your bags get dirty then this is NOT for you! Although it might be I haven't tried washing it or anything so maybe it will come off in the wash but with these bags I shouldn't think you'd want too. But anyway your decision, lets carry on...

The cosmetics bag is quite small but perfectly adequate for all your needs, unless you have to have all your makeup with you this won't fit it all, so maybe another bag?!? Like I said above they are white on the inside, its plastic but somehow things always get into those little cracks and they are so difficult to get off, I really do mean that! I actually use their zip purse as my makeup bag I always keep this in my bag, and it looks like this.

Zip Purse: Kempton Rose

Now for the two folds toiletry bag its supposed to be airport friendly but it really is not they still want you to take it out of the bag when you get to security. I learnt that the had way, before we left to go on holiday I thought I'll get ahead of things and pack this perfectly so they can see all of it but NO once I got there they made me empty the whole thing and put it in a stupid plastic bag! Let me say I was not pleased! Anyway its good if you want to see what you have in that bag because of the clear plastic top but other then that I would have to say just get the bigger toiletry bag, really its as good if not better! You can fit more in ( ^ - ~ )

Well I think I've pretty much mentioned all that I want to tell you all so I'll let you think over whether they are for you or not. Also like I said at the beginning all of mine is in pink polka dots and they are purttttyyyyyy!!! (they look like the blue polka dots but just in pink instead) Well check out their website they have sales on occasionally but be quick they sell out fast! Also they have so much more than what I mentioned, really do check it out. ^^

So would I recommend you buying all of this?

I would have to say YES!!! Purely for the style and patterns its so worth it! If you don't want to splash out a lot of cash then there are some from ebay.

I am not supporting fake goods!

Lets move on to other products ( ^ - ^ )

I have their beautiful mugs too my current favorite ones are these two, the one on the left is in Crush Roses and the other one is in Chelsea Roses.

It makes me feel so special drinking out if it, in fact it makes tea so much teasier, if that's a word!

Anyway sorry about the long post! Hope you like it anyway ( ^ - ^ )

Much love

(M.A.C)

Hello everyone

Its been awhile since I posted something, its not that I've been super busy or anything but for some reason time seems to have gone by rather quickly these days.

Anyway today I feel like I have to say something about M.A.C and their services. I went to their counter awhile ago to get a foundation since I was running low but I ended up buying a lot, when I say a lot I mean a lot! I think I spent over £100 in the end and well this blog post maybe a bit of rant, OK its actually me ranting and sort of advice too but read and on! (please)

OK so as I said I wanted 'A' foundation, and I ended up with Select SPF15 and Studio Moisture Tint SPF15. First of all I have to say that being Thai I really don't like it when people see that your not white and automatically assume that your tan (I know what your thinking read a bit further) so have you will be comparable darker shades, ONLY. I know that people have varieties of skin tone and colour but you do get paler Thai people out there!

Anyway lets get to the main story; the girl who was helping me did not listen to me at all!
=> Bad sign number 1! <=
Anyway I just wanted one foundation and get the hell out of there at this point, but no according to her NC35 is way too light for me and it doesn't match well. She physically made me sit down while she slap the shade of NC45 on me and that's SIX (well seven since I wear one shade darker!) shades darker than what I really am! At that point I didn't really know what shade she had put on my face but I gathered that it was a lot darker as she kept saying that we wear the same shade. And there's me thinking your of Afro-Caribbean decedent and I'm Thai the possibility of us being the same shade is very low, from what I can see right now!
=> Bad sign number 2 <=.
Well all was revealed when I stepped out to see whether the colour was alright (of course I knew it wasn't but gave her benefit of the doubt) and well she made me looked like I had just spray tanned my face.
=> What all the signs were pointing to actually happend <=  ( T - T ) ( T - T )
And well lets just say I went back in and had words with her! I mean I don't like it when I'm too pale it just doesn't look healthy but this was on another level. I don't want to be a freak with black face and pale body!

After this I called for the manager and well she sorted everything things out so everyone was happy, well I was! So to all the Asian ladies out there its all well and good that you go to the counter and expect them to find the right shade for you just be aware of what they are putting on your face; after all it's your face you know it best!

That's all from me today I hope that my experience doesn't happen to anyone else! If it does you know what to do! ( ^ . ~ )

Until next time.

xoxo

PS I'm NOT saying that every Afro-Caribbean person does this! This was my ONE off experience, thought it was funny and wanted to share my good and bad experiences of M.A.C with you all!

Hello all,

It's been awhile since I've posted something and just wanted to share this glorious summer with you all. So currently in the UK (where I live) it is 18c and raining, oh no sorry it is attempting to be sunny; a typical British summer!

So as you all know this is the great summer for the UK, we had the Diamond Jubilee and (currently) the Olympics and Paralympic Games. This is one of the summers to remember!

So of course this means that we'll be outside for majority of time, or when ever we can :P. It is important to protect your self from the harmful UV rays and I have a few products that I recommend using. Some are old, some are new. :D

First of all I when to Guernsey for the week to visit friends and of course the weather there was so much better, the weather was beautiful, sunshine all day everyday! Since the tax system is different so the products there were cheaper than the UK so I bought this lil beauty, Génifique Sôleil - Corps SPF30.

Génifique Sôleil - Corps SPF30

This product does have a slight fragrance to it I can't really say what it smells like but the product it self it creamy and does need some blending and rubbing in as it doesn't absorb straight away. This does make your face quite oily looking but I combated the issue with Pond's Magic Powder Oil and Blemish Control Sweetie Pink; which brings me to my next product of recommendation. This was £24.

Pond's Magic Powder Oil and Blemish Control Sweetie Pink

This is a powder that I was using when I was in Thailand as I didn't want to apply layers and layers of powder whenever my face got oily. This is amazing! It absorbed the oil straight away and has a floral fragrance, its simply the IT product everyone should have! Definitely RECOMMENDED!! You can get this from Amazon for £4 or 5.

Of course there is always the classic products that I have been using since the beginning of summer well whenever it was sunny this year! As previously mentioned in previous posts the No 7 sun cream is always good and works great and its £13 cheaper than the Lancôme. And last but certainly not least the Lancôme Duo Bronzer well a lil bit of bronze won't hurt anyone.

Well those are some products that I have been loving and if you want to try it then go ahead they are good products I definitely recommend it!!!

Well hope you'll like them ;)

Until next time

Hello all,

I am actually really sad that I only have one product from this range!

I have it in shade no.2 Sweet berry Blossom ( the second one from the right) Now, then even though I said I'm disappointed that I only have one, I am not that impressed with this product.

Like my other Etude House lipsticks it had a sweet scent. The colour is bright and vibrant, which was why I wanted it. I said I'm not that impressed with it because if your lips are dry it finds every single crack and makes it stand out like there's no tomorrow (not sure if the saying goes there but, eh!) Anyway, the lipstick is like gloss and balm and lipstick, too many to squeeze into a lipstick if you ask me! That's probably one of its down fall. Touching up wise more often than LUCIDarling range, way more!

Anyway I'm sure you get the idea that I don't like it much but on my non dry and cranked lips days they are amazing it really shows off the colour and makes your lips stands out, in a good way. ;)

So do I recommend this? I'm not sure... it has its good and bad points I'll let you be the judge of that. BUT if you don't want to buy it and test it out for your self I'd say try something else, your bond to have those not so nice lips days and putting this on will make you feel worst about it.

Anyway hope that helps. :D

xoxo
Hello!!

So if you have read my previous posts I mentioned that I have a load of Etude House products and today I will be telling you all about their LUCIDarling Fantastic Rouge Lipsticks.

Here's the colour range.

I have 3 different colours, no 4. 9 and 10 (the 4th on in from the left and the last 2 on the right) I absolutely adore them! The packaging is a bit more mature but still looks really cute with the little bow at the bottom.

The colours are really good and well pigmented so one coat is plenty so you can you use the product for longer ;) It has a peachy sweet scent but unfortunately it doesn't taste of anything, yes I licked my lips to test this out! It has a gloss finish, which I don't usually like but I do in these lipsticks, its not too glossy that's probably why, LOL.

I do have to say that the colours are brighter/ darker than what they look like in pictures, like these one (see below)

So if your ordering online be careful and expect the shades to be one or two shades darker or brighter before purchasing. Like with my no 10. in the picture its not that darker and looks nude (ish) once I have it on its darker its not like super dark or anything but my point is that its darker. And my no.4 is in a brighter pink than what the pictures show. Nevertheless I still love them :D

So do I recommend them? YES I would they are good quality lipsticks and last for a long time, by that I don't mean all day, I mean you touch up every now and then.

Well hope that helps any one who is thinking of buying this lipstick. If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

xoxo
Hello all,

So I feel like I have to share my mascara experiences and wisdom with you all.

I just have to say that I have tried my fair share of mascara over the years from high to low end. I now have two that I will defo recommend, the Bourjois Liner Effect and L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes.

These are the two that I find best, I have mentioned this before in previous posts that I have two mascaras, one for top lashes and one for lower lashes. The Bourjois is for lower and L'Oreal is for upper.

The Bourjois brush makes it perfect for lower lashes as there are two different lengths, I use the shorter one for the bottom lashes, but when you first use a new tube it can be quite wet so lightly pat it on tissues before you use it; or you will end up with a lot of mascara and it can look clumped. I feel that if I use it on the top lashes it can feel too heavy! That's why I use L'Oreal for upper lashes, its got a light coating and it feels like its really covering every lash!

Just a few that I don't like:

L'Oreal Double Extension. The main reason s that you can never really cover all the white bits and it looks kinda grey, and if I did cover all the white bits it was really thick and clumpy!

L'Oreal Telescopic. I think the idea behind this is probably really futuristic but it does not work! The main problem is the brush!

L'Oreal Lash Architect 4D. What exactly is 4D? It still looks the same! Same as any mascara out there really!

Rimmel Sexy Curve. I don't know why I didn't like this one! LOL

Max Fctor False Lash Effect mascara. Actually I liked this one its the one that I was using when I ran out of my usual L'Oreal. So its a good one ;)

M·A·C OPULASH. Its pretty much the same as cheaper mascara by Rimmel or Collection 2000.

Dior. Diorshow Backstage. This is nice but I don't like the brush.

Urban Decay Supercurl Curling. This is really nice I like it but sometimes the brush can be annoying and you can't really use it on the bottom lashes.

Clinique High Impact. You can pretty get the same effects with No.7 mascaras which are cheaper! ;)

Well any way there's quite a lot to think about there, I'm not saying that these won't work for you I'm just saying that they didn't work for me. They are just some products that I have tried and tested I'm not advertising it or anything! If your think of changing or trying different mascara just take some of my advice in consideration before you try something else. :D

Hope that helps

Hello all,

I feel like I should tell someone that I have been extremely good with food lately; don't all assume I'm anorexic or anything, yeah! My diet in general was really bad, you know, junk food and takeouts! Well I have decided to treat my self on this faithful Sunday night with a Chinese takeaway.

Now I have to say that in my village the van comes every weekend and its like torture every time I see it. I will be indulging myself with the good old sweet and sour pork, yuummmm!!! I just wanted to share that and if anyone is who has been on a diet or been eating healthy, treat yourself once in a while it will motivate you even more. :D

Well good luck, and remember its a treat don't go and binge now OK! ;P

Hello all,

From the title you can guess what I'll be talking about. Recently I have started the redecorating process of my room and well it didn't start out well!

The first thing that went wrong was the removing of wallpaper process; first of all I didn't know that the plastering can come off the walls if you use a steamer! That came as a super surprise!! So apparently the best way of removing wallpaper is to slash the walls and stray it with warm water, then use warm/hot soapy to wipe it off. Of course use a scraper to help get the rest of the wallpaper off.

I had to get someone in to do it all and it came to £380!!! :O :O :O I know I probably got riffed off but I really needed it to be done quickly and he did it in 3 days so I guess that's OK, right? Well, I'll keep thinking its OK just to make my self feel better. The next surprise came as sudden as the last! Plasters don't dry that quickly, apparently! I read on the internet that it can take months to dry properly, but the lil man that came said all I need to do if I wanted to paint it quicker was to mix half paint half water so that the newly plastered walls don't crumble and fall off.

So, that was the removal process and well when we decided that it was OK to paint the walls, and from the advice given we mixed half paint half water and well that took forever for the walls to be white! It took 2 big tins and countless coats to do that. Of course, there was one lil thing that the plasterer decided not to tell us. Which was you NEED to wash down the walls, I later got this information from the internet, but anyway now that the paint is dry there are crackling effects on the walls where the leftover glue was! NOT COOL!!! So angry!!!

I have wasted so much time and effort to do this and he missed out one lil detail and it all goes down hill! So, I now am hoping that the few coats of paint we just painted will cover it up, at least a bit.

So ladies and gentlemen who are reading this and haven't decorated or paint before take these advice:

When removing wall paper slash the walls and spray it with warm water, let it soak in and the use warm soapy water to scrub it off, its not the best job but its got the be done!

Once you have done that scrub/ wash down the walls and make sure all of the wallpaper glue is off.

When painting newly plastered walls definitely mix half paint half water! You don't want the possibility of your walls crumbling down! Do this until all walls are white.

Paint whatever colour you like but don't forget to mask off the areas you don't want paint on.

Also if you are, like me, planning on painting your walls different colours don't forget that you should paint the lighter walls first then the darker, this means that if you accidently get some lighter colours on where the darker walls are supposed to be, the darker colour will cover it easier.

Well that's all I have to share today.

Until next time

Hello everyone!

Today I will be giving my view on Urban Decay NAKED 2 palette.

Urban Decay NAKED2

Of course this goes without saying there is a NAKED palette! I was tempted by it but I chose this one just because it had more matte shades in it. As you can see from the picture the colours are very neutral and earthy but they are amazing! You can go as natural as you want with this one or if you like the smoky eyes effect but not too found of black this will work great!

I already said in my previous posts I don't like doing swatches we all have different skin tones and some colours might look bad or good on me, this may not be the same for you. You can go into Debbenhams or House of Fraser or Boots (the bigger one) and see for your self whether you like the colours and what its like on you.

Now then lets talk colours. The colours are nicely pigmented and stays on all day, it stays on even longer with their eye primer potion (^_^) Its so good that when the time came to take it off it didn't really want to come off!

NAKED2 comes with a lil lip gloss and NAKED comes with the eye primer potion (in sample size).

Majority of the colours have shimmer in them but not in an overwhelming amount, YDK (third from the right) is the only shade that I would say is very shimmery! Followed by Chopper (fourth from the left) and Half Baked (second from the left) The other colours has shimmer apart from Foxy (first from the left), Tease (fifth from the left) and Blackout (first from the right). Like I said earlier these are neutral colours but the work great on a day to day basis as well as night time, I think it really is a great product and I'm sure Urban Decay had this in mind when they came up with the concept of the NAKED palette.

The brush that comes with it, is not the best brush ever but at least it came with one, right?!? LOL. There are 12 colours at 1.3g.

Sorry this was a long post but I really wanted you to know what its like before you spend £36. I don't use all the colours so now I'm thinking maybe it would have been better if I just got the single colours from somewhere else! But of course I still appreciate this, as it was a birthday present form my sister (^-^).

How I use it: well it depends on what the occasion is and who I'll be seeing on that day, but the usual daily wear I use Busted on my upper eye lids and lower lash line, I then put the YDK on the middle of both lower lash line and upper eye lids, followed by Blackout as eyeliner and then I use Verve on my inner eye, I think you call it the tear dove or something like that. If you get where I mean, I mean the right/ left corner of your eye (depending on what eye putting it on). I also use Bootycall under my eyebrows just to give it more definition.

Would I recommend this? Definitely YES!!

Even if you don't use all the colours like me I think its a great palette that is appropriate for all occasions.

Hope that helped (or sort of). (^-^)

Until next time

xoxo

Hello everyone,

Lately I have been talking none stop about beauty products and as my blog is supposed to be the about my life; so here's the rest that I haven't been talking about.

Recently, I have decided that I will finish reading the books that I have started. These were the books that I started and thinking that I'll finish them in my free time at uni, well doing Sociology (or any other course) meant that I was doing a lot of reading and well frankly, I got bored of ready and didn't want to do it in my free time!

So as a result of that I have a few books that I started but never finished, and I will finish them by the end of summer. The first one on the list is Wilkie Collins. I will let you know how I get on later. :D After I am done with this I have my all time nemesis The Diary of a Nobody by George Grossmith to finish off, I have started this book about 3 times already and something always happens preventing me from finishing it. This summer I am determined on finishing the book. Some of you maybe saying why don't I just give up already its been 3 times already? Well its the last book that my dad told me to read before he passed away, so give me some slake! :P

Wilkie Collins: The Woman in White

George Grossmith: The Diary of a Nobody

If you too have unfinished books why not try and finish them by the end of summer too?

Until next time

Hi!!!

I love cute things as I mentioned in my profit. And well it extend to phone covers, anyway lets get this blog on the road!

So I bought my pink bunny phone cover from Thailand a few summers ago, but then I discovered deco-den phone covers and well the bunny was history!

By pink bunny phone case I mean this!!!!! The photos are from google its the same as the one I got apart from mine had a lil tail bit, but unfortunately I lost that, like right after I bought it! It would have looked like the one on the iPhone.

Unfortunately my phone cover broke so I'm back to using the bunny again. So decoden... I talked about getting cabochons from Etsy.com in one of my posts, I was using it to make my very own deco-den phone case. (^-^)

Its really relaxing! I didn't know it was gonna be and so fulfilling. You get the 'I did that' feeling!! I only did it because I thought that it was expensive buying one! They are, try searching for one!

Anyway it was a success until I dropped it and a bit of the actual case broke and wouldn't stay on properly, if any one saw a girl with deco-den phone cover that was held together by an elastic band; that was me! But I had so much love for it and I only just made it so I wasn't about to just give it up! It was so pretty look at it!!!

They are the material I used to create my master piece. Just in case anyone is wondering why I am talking about this, its because I'm currently doing another phone cover, the last one actually broke properly this time!

But if anyone wants to make their own and think that its really hard, well news flash!!! Its NOT!! Its really easy, all you need is your imagination! I lacked this at the beginning but google decoden phone cover and you'll get some!

So all you need are phone cover (optional if you wanna do it on the actual phone then jut remember that you won't be able to take it off, its permanent) cabochons, gems/pearls and epoxy glue!!! That is it, thats all folks!!

One thing though I'd recommend sticking the big bits first and them the smaller gems. Another tip is buy smaller gems so it will fit into the gaps that the bigger gems can't fit into.

Well I'm here if you need help! Get creative and experiment!

Until next time

Hello all,

Today's blog is going to be me moaning about how expensive pretty/ cute sheer socks are!

I have been looking for the right pair to buy for ages and I seem too only come across those that are like £5 or more per pair and I looked on eBay but the posting cost makes it expensive. I hate being in England at times like these, I mean don't get me wrong I love this country and I wouldn't be able to survive anywhere else, LOL. But really every thing is so expensive! WHY?!?!?!

At this point I'm thinking that if I were in Thailand or South Korea or China I'd be able to get them for like less than a pound, probably! Or there about anyway. And yes, I have tried looking if I could buy them online for less but I really can't find any, poooo!! If anyone find anywhere that sells them for a good price please let me know! ^-^

I'm after something like these:
(pictures from YESSTYLE.com)
Hello!

Today I will be talking about Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks. Before I start I have to say that I have been on a hunt for these for ages!!! They always run out of the shades I want but finally I was there in time! I have two different shades, No.013 Smoked Peach and No.003 Mauve It Over. I got these from Superdrug, they were/ are doing a 3 for 2 offer and as a bonus I got 10% discount from my NUS as well. :D

These have a matte finish. Some people don't like matte finish but for me I like to have control over how much gloss I have on my lips, and this is the perfect way of doing it. (^_^)

At a glance you might think that the shades are pretty similar but once its on your lips they are very different! They are both in nude but Smoked Peach has an orange tone to it and Mauve It Over is more nude looking, and has a light pinky hit to it.

Revlon Matte Smoked Peach Lipstick

Revlon Matte Mauve It Over Lipstick

From the pictures above you can't really tell that its more orange or pinky but they are!

They have a really silky and smooth feel to them and the colour is good too! I have to say though you need two layers to get the colour out to its max, and if you have dry lips well these really show it! It really stick to the dry bits of your lips, which is not good it will look like you ate the lipstick, LOL.

I'm liking them but loving them, so I have a bit of a mix felling about them right now. I have used it when my lips are all nice and smooth and when its dry, so I have experienced it in both conditions, so my verdict is that I'm not sure! I mean they weren't that expensive so I can let it go, for being bad with dry lips but I had high hopes for it! Oh well the colours look pretty!

I originally got these so that I could wear it for work, whenever I get it that is, and well the colours were perfect its nude and has a lil bit of attitude too. (^ - ~) Not too overwhelming just right! They would still be good but I just have to avoid getting dry lips at all cost to use it!

So do I recommend it? This one is a not sure!

Sorry if I didn't really help!

xoxo

Hello!!

Now that the sun seems to want to come out and play more, it is really important for use to protect ourselves. On my body I use normal suncream, you know Garnier or Nivea but always at least SPF 30! And for my face I thought I'd try something different this year, and it is No7 Anti-Dark Spot Facial Sun Protection SPF 30 50ml.

No7 Anti-Dark Spot Facial Sun Protection SPF 30 50ml.

I actually have the SPF50+ because I am paranoid about getting wrinkles and recently I have noticed that I'm getting freckles! But I also has the SPF 30 but just wanted a higher protection factor. Anyway the cream is £11 and you get 50ml.

Initially it had/has a subtle fragrance but then I was using it one day and it sort of smelled fishy, but that kinda stopped so I don't know what happened there, LOL!

Right then generally I think sun cream or any sun protection will leave your skin kinda greasy or oily, this is one of them! It does absorb well and feels like its definitely working! IF the oiliness bother you this is not for you!

The cream is in a light beige colour and has a nice creamy consistency to it, it also doesn't feel heavy on your skin! Its a win and win with me! This is a great product I'd definitely recommend it, it has so many protection factors, I mean whats not to like?!?! Plus It comes in SPF 15, 30 and 50+ .

P.S. I use Revlon primer to combat the oil problem, it works a gem!

Definitely a good buy for the summer, though!

Ta ta for now,

xoxo

Mascara Remover.

Hello again,

If you have read my previous post on makeup removal, I was using the Lancôme Effacil Eye Make Up Remover but I ran out a few weeks ago and I am now using Bi-facil Eye Make Up Remover. There was no particular reason why I changed it but this one is quite good for eye makeup removal.
I'll do a proper suggestion later. :)

Today I want to talk about the Etude House eye makeup removal. Its part of the Aloha! collection, its pink and when you shake it up it goes kinda cloudy pinkish colour.

Etude House Aloha! Mascara Remover.

I know it says mascara remover but it removes eye makeup too. Its quite oily right after I used it but wait for the oil to absorb into your skin for a bit. After a few minutes the oily feeling goes away :D

I got this in a sample size, but I think the initial feeling of oilyness kinda got the better of me! I prefer my Bi-facil Eye Make Up Remover.

Its good and really does get rid of your eye makeup. I tried using eyelid glue and then removing it with this, and well it worked wonders! It came off with two wipes! Those who have used eyelid glue will know what I mean when I say that, two wipes is really good! Its really hard to get off your eyes! Anyway it has a subtle scent, kinda floral but a pleasant smell.

Its really good if you use a lot of eye makeup, definitely recommend this. But if you don't use a great deal of eye makeup then other eye makeup removal will do ;P

Do I recommend this?? Well from the above, YES to heavy eye makeup users and NO to those who only use a bit of eye makeup I'm sure cleansing milk will remove it.

Until next time

Hello

Today I tried another new item that my mum sent me and its the Etude House Dressing Room hand cream. Now then I have to say I really did not like this! It has a really floral smell and I usually like that but this one reminds me of a toilet air freshener! That was not cool!!!! Its so cute, but sadly I can't use it. :(

Apart from that its just like any normal hand cream nothing really stands out, apart from the smell!

Well that's all really, I'm just disappointed that it reminded me of that smell! (T-T)

Hello all,

So it seems a lot of people don't know how to do basic makeup and I was really surprised! I mean there are tones of blogs and videos on it, so why do people still feel like they don't know how to do it? I'm sort of ranting but it was because I was telling my friend that I had started a blog and well naturally she asked me whats it about and I didn't really know what to say; I mean I'm just sharing my experiences but lately it has been about makeup, so I guess its a makeup blog at the moment. :D

Anyway back to the topic, makeup! My friend is considerably older than me and she was telling me that she still doesn't really know how to do basic makeup and I was like :O how is that possible???????? I mean her mum is one of those uber cool kids back in the day, and she still wears makeup, do they not talk about that kinda of stuff? Actually, my mum didn't really tell me about makeup but she told enough for me to start and I was able to learn more from that. I think that was because my sister went all crazy with makeup, like gothy one day and super bright and colourful the next and well I think she got scared that it would ruin her faceand didn't want me to do the same.

Anyway I just wanted to tell you guys who are starting out in makeup that its easy!!! Just do it and you'll love it ;) There are tone of stuff out there, its calling out for you!

BUT as the title suggests rules are meant to be broken! (not all of them obvs) When I first started I thought the more the better, this was during my early teens years when everyone was starting to use makeup and well thinking about it now most of those girls had teenage acne that's probably why they has so much on! I'm gonna be a bit vain and say that I had quite good skin and didn't really get spots (^^). But any way my personal advise it "less is more" don't put layers and layers of makeup on just because everyone else is doing it. Majority of times people who wears lots of makeup has something to hide! If you have good skin and still want to fit in with the uber made up girls just use light layers, you'll be surprised how many of those light layers you can use to totally change your appearance!

The other thing is at one point I had acrylic nails and when I was putting on foundation by hand the foundation would get stuck there and I couldn't remove it later so use brushes! It more hygienic that way. That was for the ladies who have acrylic nails or fake nails.

BUT don't just stick to what the labels say, OK it might say its a powder brush but it doesn't mean that you can't use it put foundation on as well. The world is your oyster! Go wild and find out what works for you!

Oh by no means am I saying I'm a pro at this, I'm just passing on what I know.

OK a bit of dos and don't

Do follow the 'less is more' is one rule!

Do have fun and play! Experiment and find what you like!

Don't: I know I said that the world is your oyster but that kinda applies to a certain point, I mean everyone's different so not all products will work for you and they often don't always work in the same way.

Don't: I don't want to say that your ethnic matters, but it does! There are colours that will work and won't work depending on your skin tones, like with me I can't use greens or yellows and some blues.

This was quite a long post and full of writing sorry, but I hope it helps though! Comment if you have any questions, I know I didn't really go into a lot of details so ask me and I'll see if I can answer it.

Well until next time.

xoxo

Hello,

Since I have been talking about makeup nonstop I thought I'd share some hair knowledge! :P

So I have recently dyed my hair and now its all pretty and ombre!! But it came at a price. Since I have really thick and dark hair I had to use blond dye so that it will actually turn my hair brown! It left my hair really dry and I was starting to get split ends :O!!! So I was on the hunt for a product that will help my hair restore to its former glory. I avoided TRESemmé because even though they say its salon quality at an affordable price, but for some reason when I heard that I just thought that they has taken something out in order to make it affordable, do you know what I mean? Its being mass produced on a different scale after all! LOL

Well anyway I couldn't find the TIGI product that I was looking for and well my hair was calling out for help, so I bought TRESemmé Split Mend as a short term thing... AND it turned out to work really well!! It has totally helped my hair! I'm not saying you use it and your previous split ends will miraculously get back together as if it was never apart! I'm saying that it prevents it and helps your hair to maintain its moisture.

I'm using these:

Split Mend and Protect Leave-In Treatment

Split Mend Sealing Serum

Well I totally recommend these ;)

Peach Beam Blusher No.2 Berry

The first one gives you a nice rosy effect, its very natural, although I didn't use the puff that it came with. It was just too cute to use! The actual colour isn't as bright as the product may look, once its on your cheeks its paler.

From the picture the second one has a shimmer to it, but in reality it is really shimmery! Like glitter shimmer! Its supposed to be highlighter and blusher, but I don't like how both of it is really shimmery and it doesn't work well as a blusher. It is however good for highlighting and for setting a background colour for another blusher.

They both have a light feeling and Lovely Cookies have a nice matte finish :D

So would I recommend these? Lovely Cookies Blusher, YES!! Peach Beam Blusher, NO! I think its far too shimmery for a blusher.

Hope that helps

Hiiii!

I thought I should do a lil makeup post about what I use, since I've been talking about makeup a lot lately! This will be about the products I am currently using. So, OK I don't know a lot about makeup to tell you the specific details but I'm gonna try and tell it through a consumers point of view.

I have been using some of these products for a long time and its sort of like my holy grail!

First of all I have been using the same mascara for over two years now and they are L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes in extra black. I use this for my upper lashes, and I use Bourjois Liner Effect Mascara for lower lashes.

I use different mascara because I feel that the Bourjois mascara is better for lower lashes because of its brush. It has two different lengths the longer one is for longer lashes and the other is for shorter lashes, the one for shorter lashes is amazing for your lower lashes!

I am current loving the Etude House Moistfull Collagen BB balm. In my view this is the best BB balm ever!!!

Another great products I'm loving is the Etude House Golden Ratio in Pink. I haven't used highlighters before and didn't really know how to use it, but since I've started I've come a long way! It really does highlight your best features :P

M.A.C gel eyeliner. I LOVE gel eyeliners they are so much more durable than the normal liquid eyeliners.
Gel all the way ladies!

Well those are the products I'm loving. They are really good and I recommend them all! (^-^)

until next time

xoxo
