Im not a kind of person who has a truck load of makeup and doesnt know which one to choose. Well im the kind of person who Owns maybe around 5 Blushes and keeps using 1 of them every single time until loop loop i get bored. So what kind of person i am? You tell me. LOL!

So this is the blush i have Been using for the past couple of weeks and im totally loving it. LOVING IT! Its so beautiful. The color and the texture is absolutely gorgeous. Smells like roses - Not the annoying kind but the more Calming. . lovely .. romantic kind.

Its like a peach / coral / whatever colour - well i dont know. It looks peach to me. Its so pretty and would look lovely on all skin tones i guess. Its a really creamy soft formula that blends really well and looks natural on your skin. The colour comes on pretty light so you can build up if you want a more bolder flush of colour.

So that is the colour. Isnt it gorgeous?! Well the only downside is that if you have really really dry skin you got to moisturize really well before you put it on so you can get a good finish. Other than that i am totally loving it and using it all the time. And i will do so until i find another new favourite colour.

So ..

I got just about 1 day left to pack for Sri Lanka and i needed a bottle of lotion. Obviously it was not a time to experiment with exotic brands and obviously i got no time to waste - i walked into Boots hoping for a BUY 2 GET 1 FREE OFFER. Yes the offer was going on so i grabbed a bottle of this lotion so fast i almost didnt check out what it was. Almost - then i spent 5 minutes at the cash register trying to read the ingredients. Its a terrible habit and im trying to get rid of it. I am.

For someone like me - who wanted to try pretty much every single product from this brand .. it really was easy to just pick this up hoping i would love it. And yes i did love it. I do and im so glad i did. Well its such a huge bottle of lotion - i would hate to just waste it.

Scent:

Smells light and fruity. Not like a fruit salad but its girly and really lovely. Not a scent that would turn heads around but definitely something that will make you smile while you moisturize. Well thats the whole point - isnt it?

Texture and Moisturization:

Its light and comfortable. No oil or grease. Moisturizes so well. VERY WELL. Its awesome. If you have very very dry skin like mine - you will not believe that a lotion that feels so light actually works so well. Its amazing.

The Good Stuff:

Smells lovely

Not pricey

A huge pump bottle that locks up well

(IT SURVIVED A FLIGHT AS WELL)

Moisturizes the driest of dry skin during summer

The Not So Good Stuff:

Might not be sufficient during harsh winter

So ..

You know i loved this and im so happy. This will be one lotion that i will use and use and finish it off. And recommend it to everyone i love without any shame. LOL. I mean i will recommend it.

If you are someone like me and always shy away from loud lip colors - a tint is your best friend.

That is now a gorgeous orange shade. A very pretty color for summer time. Thats about 2 swatches. It is quite orange in my opinion and will definitely look really pretty on your lips regardless of how it is pigmented. Definitely looks different on different people depending on your natural lip color. So the more lighter your lips are - the more orange it looks!

Thats the stain that stays on after the swatch is wiped.

Instead of telling you long stories - let me just go right into the important stuff.

The Good Stuff:

The tomato extracts and rose water keeps lips looking healthy and soft.

Not drying at all

Feels cools and really light

Colours quite well

Tint stays on for atleast 2-3 hours

Can be used as a blush for a very natural subtle colour

The NOT SO GOOD Stuff:

The taste is like - WHAT THE HELL? Weird

So ..

A really cute colour for summer. If you are someone who is bold enough to experiment with ORANGE do give it a try. My only concern would be its taste - seriously i was shocked by its weirdness .. i did check out other reviews but noone really talked about it. Is it just me? I dont know but i think they need to add some sweetness to it or atleast keep it tasteless.

For those who know me would have already guessed one thing - I AM EXCITED! Too reasons - Bath & Body Works has opened at Villagio Mall (awhile back actually) and THE BIG SALE IS GOING ON NOW! Yes! How awesome is that?! OKAY NOW WAIT - please stay dont run off to the mall now, read first ladies! Yes thank you LOL.

Most of you are well aware of this brand obviously - reviews are all over the internet. Everybody has bottles of their fragrances stocked up high all the time! My mom has a couple actually but this is the first time i visited the store. Strange i know. And for my friends who asked me reviews on them, i will be writing more reviews definitely now that i have been to their store and loved their range .. its absolutely awesome .. loads to choose from! You knew that already right.

I met this lovely lady from BBW a week ago - and she asked me the most obvious question 'whats your favourite scent from our range?' Honestly even after using bottles of their body mists during my college days i didnt recall a single name LOL i just remember calling them 'oh that sweet scent! OMG THAT FRUITY PINK ONE! and that chiffon shimmer thingy 'seriously i felt like a fool for not remembering (they were my way before blogging days and i really did not have to remember names duh!) so i shook my head and said i dont remember - and now when i think of it i wonder if it made me look alot sillier and obviously how can a beauty blogger not remember a name? I wish i wasnt so clumsy sometimes. Then again i think i really loved the Chiffon Shimmer Thingy ~ so now ladies whats that scent called? Let me know.

So what i got here is: FRENCH LAVENDER & HONEY. Sounds pretty exotic and mysterious. This is a new fragrance which is still not available at the stores! Yahoo! Im in early haha. Its their Ramadan Release so i got to try it earlier. Thank you BBW.

My Thoughts:

I always understand my scents in a strange way. My brain works like that so you might agree or might not - fragrances are a personal preference keeping that in mind .. lets explore! When i saw the word 'Lavender' i was thinking more like calm, subtle, boring, sleepy kinda fragrance you know. But then the word 'Honey' meant something else really .. its more sweet, heavy and interesting. So how did they both get together? Once sprayed on - this fragrance comes out really sweet, girly and so pleasant. Its light but not too light, strong but not overpowering. Girly but not in piggytails. See - my brain thinks like that. The scent of lavender is really so subtle and the sweetness of honey takes over. I love that! Its a day scent for me for im really not looking into something too relaxing to make me want to sleep. Lavender is relaxing isnt it.

So ..

A really beautiful sweet scent for summer - stays on for a couple of hours. Nothing too heavy for your nose but definitely something that will keep you smelling lovely during a hot summer day! It has a hint of melon which really gives you a slight summer kick!

This fragrance will be in store real soon so do check it out and let me know what you think. I love it! And am using it already. Its my new purse spray!

[CLOSET IDEAS] Kiss Me Its Summertime!

Summer Time and its an excuse for dressing up in all colors right?! But ofcourse i have put to rest the pastels and trying to add browns with reds and blues and all that. Well i am trying something different. Hope you like it. And ofcourse its a very college day type style dont you think? Ofcourse i have left college years ago (GOD i feel so old!) But this would be something i would find comfortable for an afternoon with the girls? A walk in the park? A nice walk at Villagio? Well ofcourse a stroll along Villagio would need an abaya on top but you get what i mean .. its a girly summer day outfit.

Scarfs are a staple in my closet i need them every single day - instead of going for a simple one these lace scarfs are kinda chic - can be worn Throughout the year in all seasons. Definite must HAVE.

Those satchels arent really my thing - these are really useful and comfortable to carry books - well diapers, wet wipes and baby stuff for me. Doesnt Looks stylish and make me feel like a walking baby shop. If you are a mom you would .. know what i mean LOL.

This would be the highlight of this outfit! Its a pair of absolutely gorgeous shoes with kisses all over! Who said flats cant be stylish?! Right?

This little fellow would need a full review but just to let you know - these are so cute, tiny, they smell so fresh and AWESOME! Anti bacterial hand gels but they dont make you want to throw up lol! They are so fresh its a shame not to have one in your bag! Seriously try them ladies! They are on sale right now - YES THATS RIGHT! BATH AND BODY WORKS HAS THEIR SALE GOING ON! So run there asap! Stock on your favorites and try something new. They got some great deals going on.

It dried out my skin like crazy and refused to get any better. Summer or Winter it was the same. Will not repurchase again. QR 45 - Boots, Landmark.

SEBAMED HAND + NAIL BALM:

Thanks to Mr. Husband who picked this up for me saying 'it looked like something you will like' Yes i would definitely, infact i loved it! Its amazing. Smells fresh and really lovely. It is so light BUT it works like a dream . Dried up hands or little wrinkle lines on your Fingertips clear up pretty well with continuous usage. It Doesnt workTel like in 5 mins but trust me - give it a little time and you will see. Its amazing and its so cheap for QR 15. Try it! Its as good as my most favorite cream ever - Cifalfate Avene Anti-bacterial Repair Cream.

NIVEA CREME SOFT HANDWASH:

Smells really pleasant but it Did not keep my hands away from getting dry. Nothing special - just like regular hand soap with a pleasant scent. QR 15 - Al Meera.

Anyways it was a cute addition to my handbag not that it did anything much to my lips. I am a little sad its over but i guess it really is time to let him go.

Call me weird but i would admit it anyways - i always felt my skin was drier during the summers than in winter. LOL! Yes i sound ridiculous but its true. Ofcourse its true .. and why is my skin drier? Well Because of its Mr. Air conditioner! As much as i would admit it gives comfort in these warm desert summers .. i still am not a great fan of this little man. Seriously i dislike him for so many reasons. For starters - my nose gets blocked and i always can not figure out if i feel too cold or not cold enough.Its just a personal preference that might not make much sense to you.

So after realising that some of my most loved day time creams did not work that well! WEIRD! But i dont blame the cream because i know its my skin that seems to be kinda different these days. I took out my Yonka Vital Defense face cream which i only use if and when im going out because i feel its more suitable for outdoors and also it is pricey so you know how we love to keep it in possession for as long as possible. Oh yeah something like that!

It looks really light and yes it feels really light too but dont think for a second it doesnt work well because surprising it totally soothes my skin and makes the dry patches go away! Totally moisturises and makes skin soft without making it greasy or feeling heavy. Use it under your make up and it feels and looks really amazing. AWESOME!

The Good Stuff:

PARABEN FREE

Feels light and perfect for day use

Protects skin from pollution

Comes on light and allows use of makeup easier

Moisturises and soothes out dry skin during the summer

The Not so Good Stuff:

No SPF

So ..

So i took it out and i am using it at home as well because my skin needs that extra love and protection. It may seem pricey but if you are someone who is working outside alot and prone to skin damage this might be something you would want to try out! And also make up lovers can safely add on the colours without worrying about feeling too heavy or greasy! And also paraben free! Love it!

So now i will go cleanse my face, apply this on my face and neck and will be back in a bit for the rest of the review. And yes i have already used 1 application 2 weeks ago .. i dont remember the finer details so i will have to use the other one now so that i can tell you what i feel.

Its spring here .. well its really warm but since i stay indoors all day long my face feels really tight and dry at the end of the day due to air conditioning so i thought maybe my face needed some refreshing and moisture. So i thought this might be helpful.

Comes in 2 separate sachets which is really convenient so its 2 uses in one packet. Very affordable too.

Kinda very thick lotion like texture that does not dry .. i mean even after leaving it on my face for 15 mins .. its still wet and feels like i got a layer of body lotion on my face. NOT GOOD.

Basically i DID NOT LIKE THIS ONE and i will tell you why.

1. Did not feel refreshing at all - i wanted something cooling and fresh but all i got was a layer on lotion on my face which felt like body lotion!

2. Did not dry at all - there was absolutely no change in texture even after leaving it on my face for 15 mins .. i wanted some change??!

3. Face did not feel super clean - i kept thinking if my face was washed well enough .. it just felt very odd.

4. Did not moisture at all - There might have been a 0.001% change but trust me thats only because i tried my BEST to see if there was any change. NOT GOOD.

So ..

I was totally disappointed. It just did not do anything at all. TOTALLY pointless!!

Eyeliners are like a must obviously and cute little ones like these?! Well you know the answer. I have been using this for awhile now and yes i like it. Its beautiful .. the black is so intense and looks beautiful on my Sri Lankan eyes .. if you know what i mean.

The black as you can see is BLACK AS EVER AND GLOSSY! And please do not judge my eye lining skills as you might have already noticed, i can not draw straight lines to save my life. Seriously i am BAD and doing the winged eyes is like what do i say - writing a statistics paper. Yes you are right, i am bad with numbers and straight lines.. ok even curvy lines. Also looking at the brush.. you might have noticed its perfect for thick winged eyes rather than thin eye lining.

L'Occitane 5 Essential Oils Volumizing Shampoo

After months of trying so many shampoos .. nothing really worked for me. I had a hair fall problem that was getting worse after trying more and more new products .. i almost gave up but before that - i tried this one .. well .. AND ofcourse i loved it! Let me tell you why!

Shampoos are pretty straight forward - it works or doesnt .. there is nothing in between .. there is no .. well .. That .. well .. this story. Atleast thats how i see it. So no long stories just simple facts .

Scent:

A very light pleasant citrus scent that lasts only while lathering up and totally disappears after .. i wish it lasted longer because it smells so fresh and totally lights up your mood.

HAS SLS UNFORTUNATELY

Taking that picture was quite a task! The shampoo kept running down my palm. Its a really runny light texture. Lets say like a gel type face wash but super light.

Does not trigger hair fall! My hair fall has reduced so much after using this shampoo

Feels real gentle on my hair but cleanses WELL

Volumes hair

Smells so fresh

THE BAD NEWS ..

Has SLS!!!

Like most volumizing shampoos .. it dries hair quite a bit so a conditioning mask is a must atleast one a week

Lathering needs too much product

So ..

I LOVE THIS SHAMPOO! My hair fall has come down like sooooo much. This is the only shampoo i can use without being paranoid. It takes a little time to show results but eventually you can see your hair is improving very well. Only problem is that i need to keep up with my hair masks to make sure that my hair doesnt feel too dry. It is pricey but totally worth it if you are looking for something gentle for your hair.

Avene Cicalfate Antibacterial Repair Cream:

This is my miracle cream! I use it on my hands when its dry.. on my feet when my skin peels.. on wounds that have healed so i can avoid scars. Pretty much on everything! I love it! ITS AMAZING! You can use it on your face and body for repairing problematic areas. Paraben free, fragrance free and preservatives free. MY MOST FAVOURITE CREAM EVER!

Lush Fair Trade Foot Lotion:

I bought this hoping it might work on my dry feet.. it didnt. But it was really lovely for tired feet and did make it all worth buying UNTIL it turned white and became fishy!!!! I had left it sitting on my dresser drawer for a couple of weeks and totally forgotten about it.. one day i remember and take it out.. the lotion had become white in colour and it smelt fishy.. not that fishy.. i mean literally fishy. Weird! I didnt want to risk using it anymore so i had to simply pour it out in the sink. What a waste! It still have time and didnt expire but had gone bad for reason unknown. The Body Shop Papaya Body Scrub:

It did have this weird artificial scent of papayas but it was a really good scrub and did the job perfect! Kinda drying.. so if you got super dry skin you might not like it.. drying but i did love the smooth feel it gave. Will not repurchase but did not disappoint.

The Halal Cosmetics Company Ultimate Anti Ageing Cream:

THE BEST ANTI AGEING CREAM I HAVE EVER USED! Seriously! Its the most moisturizing rich cream i have used till late. Free from parabens and other nasties.. cruelty free! I had always thought i didnt have any fine lines or any ageing problems at all.. but turns out i was wrong. Though i didnt have any super serious wrinkle issues.. i think i did have some fine lines around my eyes which kinda smoothen out and became less visible after using this cream. Its really amazing! Kinda pricey but it works. Really! FULL REVIEWS HERE.

Bella Cotton Large Round Make up pads:

These are the big sized 100% cotton make up pads! Its really easy to work with and i realised these huge ones are so much more interesting to use than the regular size. And yeah it was pretty cheap too. Will repurchase.

Dove Regenerating Nourishment Hand Cream:

I do like my Dove hand creams.. the one with shea butter is something i have used again and again - SEE HERE its cheap and works well. I wanted to try more varieties so picked this one. This is the night cream.. well i expected it to be more rich and moisturizing but it totally was the opposite! It was a lighter version and didnt moisture as much as the shea butter version. Too bad! It was pleasant, lovely scent and all that but for dry hands i think the shea butter one works so much better. Too bad.. it didnt work for me.

Bubble gum pink is not exactly my kinda color .. having medium skin tone, i dont experiment with pinks or light colors which i believe fair tones suit better .. right? .. Whatever i saw it and thought omg PINK LOL! Sometimes you got to try stuff ..

A really pretty pink colour .. its fresh and perfect for spring time .. would go so well with lovely floral dresses! Just a little on your cheeks and YAY! All set for the day.

Yes it has shimmer .. SILVER. So you got to be really careful how much you use. Try and add very little colour at a time and build it up. A little color to brighten up would be real cute but too much would make you look like a human disco ball. Not pleasant. Use a good blush brush and blend it well!

So ..

I am definitely not a fan of shimmer blushes because i always over do it and end up looking crazy but this colour is so refreshing for this season and i see myself using it alot. I try to be real careful by adding very little colour at a time and get the look i want. Also i just skip the highlighter! A real cute pink shade you might want to try. Gets a little chalky but for the price .. this really is a good deal.

I bought this winter .. During During a really cold and dry climate. Well it says this product was VOTED NO.1 IN THE GULF in Year 2013 in the body moisturizer category. Sounds fab yeah?

Scent:

Musk .. not the cheap weird musk scent .. but a nice subtle pleasant one. Stays on for a few hours maybe. Doesnt fill up the room but definitely is there on your skin for a while.

Texture:

Not thick or runny. An in between texture .. really light and gets absorbed into the skin within seconds.

24 hr Nourishing Lotion?

Not for me. Unfortunately it just did not work for me at all. Winter or summer .. it just gets absorbed into my skin and disappears. There is no trace of lotion what so ever on my skin. I know its freaky! Loads of positive reviews on this one but it was totally a flop for me.

WHY? IT DID NOT MOISTURE AT ALL!

WHY? I WISH I KNEW.

So ..

It didnt provide any moisture at all so i really will not go into the ingredients etc. Anyways the ingredients list is in Arabic so i dont know if it has parabens or not. But it Doesnt matter Because im just trying to finish it off somehow .. totally disappointed!

After i decided that i am going to try my best to avoid parabens and move onto completely paraben free products .. the journey has been all about researching, reading countless ingredients lists, wondering, getting frustrated, sometimes giving up but most times trying harder.

I know it sounds really dramatic but just not having access to many options of natural skincare products can be rather stressful so i thought why not try more and write more .. i know there are loads of girls out there who are really interested in knowing more about natural skincare right?

What i have here is a toner mist, comes in a really gorgeous tall glass spray bottle type. Looks so luxurious and posh. Its a spa product so it has definitely that exotic look and feel to it.

You got to cleanse your face and spray with product on, massage it right into your skin. You dont need to wipe off the excess .. just let it sink in right.

Scent:

Smells really natural but not in a heavy oily way .. its so so fresh .. totally refreshing and light.

Texture:

Its light, just like water. Water is the first item on the ingredients list so the product is amazingly light and fresh .. sinks into the skin so fast and makes skin feel really soft and moisturised.

So What the Big Deal?

The thing about spa/natural products, especially these really posh looking ones are that they are a little pricey you know and sometimes we just wonder - why do we have to pay so much for a toner? .. I mean you do need to think about that right.

So you can see what im trying to tell you! This is like one of those amazing natural products that you can use without feeling guilty at all! Its completely free from weird ingredients, pretty straight forward and works so well.

So ..

I have been using this toner for around 4 weeks now. Its amazing how fresh it leaves my skin, makes it so moisturised and soft. My skin tends to get so dry these days because of the air conditioning and all that .. this totally makes the dryness go away. I love the spray type bottle which gives out just the right amount of product onto my face .. kinda feels like the slight drizzle of the rain. Trust me .. it is that fresh! Its a great way to start my skincare routine .. i spray a little product and massage it right in. Let it sit for a minute and then use my moisturizer. DONE. Doesnt make my skin greasy or heavy! LOVE IT! At Qr 155, i think you might wonder if its a little pricey for a toner but its a huge 200 ml spray on bottle - it would last quite a long time. I think i might be able to use it for around 6 months. Looking at how good it works and being 99% natural i think its totally worth paying a little more to add this into my skincare.

Schwarzkopf Palette Intensive Colour Cream (5-68 Medium Chestnut) used on JET BLACK HAIR!

I'm no COLOUR EXPERT .. just a girl who wants to add some colors to her hair .. its been 3 years since my last time. Anyways just to be super clear on my 'hair situation' let me tell you this - I have colored my hair only 2 times before. Once at the saloon with the whole bleaching process and i Ended up with fire engine RED highlights! (It was actually pretty cool) and later 'a bunch of girls trying to color our hair incident' That went totally WRONG. So after 3 years and all that i have a full head of hair hair totally FRESH That has no color on them. You know what i mean. So i Decided to try something new .. picked this product up and dived right in. (Actually no, i did the allergy test and i suggest you do too! Always)

I really dont know why i went in for a safe color .. i think i was a little nervous .. i didnt want to end up looking like a silly clown.

It came with a cream color tube, a bottle of developer and a pair of gloves. So you just got to take a bowl and squeeze in both the color and developer cream and mix it well. Apply it onto your hair and let it sit. I let the colour stay on my hair for the maximum time allowed ie 45 mins.

AFTER 3 DAYS AND 3 HAIR WASHES

So after approximately 45 mins. Washed and dried - and then .. well nothing happened. There was NO COLOUR WHAT SO EVER. Mr I made. Husband inspect my hair super well and his reactions were:

In normal day light: Did you really color your hair?

In room brighter light: Hmm .. well maybe i see something or maybe not

In sunlight: Oh yeah there is a slight shine kinda brown red something

Light at night: Seriously you need to get it done at a saloon

Then after 3 days and 3 washes .. there you see the picture and i think only now i can see SOMETHING or i dont know if my mind is tricking me .. but trust me without the flash i dont really see much.

So ..

As you can see well obviously there was no color at all .. i mean its pointless if you have to ~~torture~~ keep asking someone to look really close and tell you if there is something anything .. LOL! So it was a flop really. BUT the good thing is that my hair did not feel dry or weird or damaged AT ALL which means that maybe i didnt cause too much damage to it .. my hair feels just the same as it did before colouring. Maybe because it has liquid keratin? Anyways the box says that it washes away in 28 washes so i will wait a little and try something different maybe? Ombre maybe? I dont know.
