A REAL life post!!

What's going on here? Decluttering. The local thrift shop is coming to pick up my items in the AM. The pink chair I could care less about, there are 2 side chairs in there that carry more importance, however- I think the barstools are the thing that's been weighing on me.

The rattan?? Furniture was in our last apartment in Long Island City and really looked great there. We had many dinners and glasses of wine in those barstools. I stood in them to paint many times. Hung my coat on them all the time, watched my kitty balance on them and peek at me over the tops.

They've been in the storage shed on my patio taking up precious space. And I know style wise I am totally over them. Time to make way for new things- practice what I preach and let go.

The chairs are not my life in NY. The chairs aren't the memories. The memories are in my heart. I hope my chairs find love in their new life!

The biz update

In the interest of full disclosure, and since I am a new business lady, I would like to share some of my advertising efforts this past month.

By far and beyond, most of Hattan Home's traffic and sales come from Pinterest! The numbers don't lie. Beyond my sweet friends, friends of friends, and family, sales are coming from Pinterest. It's a whole new world we are living in. For sure! So if you are reading this- go pin your favorite items!

Lots of people are asking how's it going? It's going great. Seriously for the first time in my life I know my career and heart are in line with my life's purpose. I feel that I have been lucky to stay steady in sales, but so far every dime is going back into the business.

Naturally I wish I was getting 20 orders a day+, and 10,0000 pins a day, and 100 facebook followers a day, but I know it takes time. This was my first month doing online advertising. I chose three beautiful spirited blogs.

Last up is For Chic Sake, which I just started working with today!

And again! For Chic's Sake is amazing, I adore their instagram. I don't even know what is happening there is so much cuteness on their site, but I do know that I want to be a part of it any way I can!

So far I have not seen a ton of sales from advertising, but my traffic is WAY UP! I know I am better off in the mix and being seen by stylish ladies than I am sitting on page 19 of someones google search!
