Aww … bless. I just love seeing Britney in mom mode. It’s always great to see her all dolled up on the performance stage but I think she really shines when she is able to just hang out and care for her sons. I’m certain her boys are happy to have mommy at home with them. Altho I am very much looking forward to the day when Britney drops some new music on us, I really don’t mind waiting. As long as she is happy and content caring for her family … that is really all that matters. Yay mom Britney!!

There’s no shortage of stars, real and imagined, visible along Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, but even by Tinseltown standards, Paul McCartney ramped up the quotient Thursday in getting his own belated star. The former Beatle drew several hundred fans who packed a cordoned-off section of Vine Street outside Capitol Records for the ceremony. He brought several Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member pals along for the ride, including Neil Young, who gave McCartney a cheery introduction, Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh and pop music power couple Elvis Costello and Diana Krall. Jazz great Herbie Hancock was there as well as musician-producer Don Was and former Electric Light Orchestra leader/Traveling Wilburys member Jeff Lynne. McCartney’s wife, Nancy, and son, James, also attended the ceremony. “Let me tell you a little bit about our friend Paul here just as a musician,” said Young, wearing a black leather Buffalo Springfield tour jacket. “When I was in high school and the Beatles came out, I loved the Beatles and I tried to learn how to play like them, and no one could figure out what Paul was doing on the bass. Well, it’s about time. I’m not sure what the circumstances were that held up Paul‘s star ceremony for so many years but I’m happy that they finally got around to honoring the guy for his work. As I’ve said many times when other celebs have been honored with Hollywood Walk of Fame stars, sometimes the honor is much-deserved … other times, it is not. In Sir Paul‘s case, the former is deffo the case. Let’s send all of our love and congrats to Paul McCartney on his latest honor. I’d say it’s long overdue :)

The film was directed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1940 and was one of the original psychological noir thrillers. It starred the iconic, Laurence Olivier as the aristocratic widower Maxim de Winter and actress, Joan Fontaine as his wife.

This pic of Laurence Olivier was taken at the Tony Awards on June 15, 1972 in New York. The gothic tale was the opening film at the 1st Berlin International Film Festival in 1951 and it won two Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Olivier and Fontaine were also both nominated for Oscars awards.

Steven Knight is known for a few film adaptations and remakes including Stephen Frears’ Dirty Pretty Things and Dan Brown’s novel, The Lost Symbol. He is also trying his hand at directing, and is currently prepping his directorial debut with Hummingbird which stars Jason Statham.

I’m really excited about this one… I am a huge Hitchcock fan and think it is going be interesting to see who is chosen to play the lead roles. It is also going to be great to see whether they modernize it or stick to the classic…

Is Macaulay Culkin doing all right? That’s what we asked when a photo surfaced of the scruffy-faced 31-year-old actor looking awfully thin as he clutched a Red Bull on a stroll in New York City. So, what [does] Culkin’s rep have to say about his current condition? “Macaulay Culkin is in perfectly good health,” his rep tells E! News. “For Entertainment Tonight—or any other media outlet —to speculate otherwise is reckless, irresponsible and destructive. We implore them to discontinue the rumor.”

HMMM. While we cannot know at all what exactly *may* be wrong with Macaulay, I think it’s pretty evident to most people that he does not look well. I know it’s been a while since we’ve seen him here on the blog but it is plain as day to me that he is far too thin in this photo. The normally fresh-faced and healthy-looking guy appears scarily bone thin. I get that his PR person has to spin things in the most positive light but I’m telling you, we are going to hear sometime soon the truth about Macaulay‘s condition. I truly hope that Mac is in “perfectly good health” but I personally do not see “good health” in this photo. Oy!

Earlier this morning I learned that Halle Berry was considering leaving the U.S. and seeking custody to take Nahla to France because she has been threatened by a mentally unstable stalker who said he wanted to slit her throat. Now, TMZ has revealed BREAKING NEWS that Robert Hoskins, Halle’s stalker (and the same guy that threatened Madonna years ago) has been apprehended by the police. Scary stuff!

Robert Hoskins is a mental patient who escaped the institution where he was being treated last week and apparently came after Halle. Halle is safe for now though… according to the LAPD, Robert was apprehended today and returned to the Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk where he was committed last year.

This is a relief! I have to say, I have the utmost sympathy for people suffering from mental illness and hope and pray that they all get the treatment and medical assistance that they need and deserve, but it is good to know that people around them are also safe. Let’s hope this puts an end to the Halle saga…

I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it, because for me — I understand it’s kind of punk rock and everything — but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity. It seemed negative. It’s one of those things that’s such a teenager, kind of, irrelevant thing to do in one respect. But on the other, there was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point? It was just out of place.”

LOL. It’s kinda funny to me to hear Madonna chastising another artist for being too “punk rock” and for bringing “negativity” into a positive performance. Madonna has made a career out of pulling stunts like this … controversy WAS her middle name. I find it insanely ironic and terribly humorous to hear Madonna take this position on something that most people would consider a non-issue. To be honest, this is the first time that I can say that Madonna is starting to show her age. Madge did talk about other things in this 16 minute long interview … she reveals that her performance of Like A Prayer at the Super Bowl last week almost made her cry, she revealed that her newly shaved daughter Lourdes Maria has a crush on Tom Brady and she revealed that there will be 3 ballad songs on M.D.N.A. I remember watching Bambi for the first time when I was very young … so young that I didn’t even realize that Bambi‘s mother was killed in that awful hunting scene. At the time, I remember thinking that Bambi‘s mother was just off playing with her friends or something … I never made the connection between the gun shot and her disappearance. It was only after I was much older and I heard other people talking about the death of Bambi‘s mother that the light bulb went on in my head. Rewatching the film as an adult had the intended effect on me … I mean, no I didn’t cry but … I could see how someone could be moved to tears by that death scene. I was struck by how much the Bambi story reminded me of the story in The Lion King … you know, in that Circle of Life sort of way. Bambi is a really cute film, once I suggest watching again if you haven’t seen in it a long time.

Alice In Wonderland is just a trip and a half. I really wanted to love the Tim Burton Alice film that came out a couple of years ago but it just didn’t wow me. This original animated film did wow me. And I realized last night that I have never seen this animated film in full before. I had a storybook of Disney‘s Alice In Wonderland but I never actually watched the film in full before last night. I LOVE the animation style of this film … it looks very 60s to me. The colors are so rich and the characters are really well developed. THIS is the only Disney film based on the Alice In Wonderland story that anyone ever needs to see.

Sleeping Beauty is just a wonderful and beautiful film. As much as I love the animation style in Alice, I think the geometric animation style of Sleeping Beauty is my fave. This is a movie, I was reminded, that I could watch again and again and again. The story is classic so it never gets old … and I honestly feel that Maleficient is one of the greatest Disney villains of all time. There are a lot of beloved Disney princesses but in movie form, Aurora/Briar Rose from Sleeping Beauty has to be one of my faves (right up there with Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Mulan from Mulan). Of all the films that I’ve watched this week, Sleeping Beauty would be the one film I’d say you MUST watch if you only have time to watch one film.

I doubt I’ll have much time to watch any other Disney movies before we leave LA next week but … there is still a weekend ahead :) Tonight, tho, I think David and I are going to have a date night. He’s been so bizzy with his work this week that I barely got to spend any time with him at all. Tonight will be a very fun pre-Valentine’s Day date, I think ;) Happy Friday! Happy Weekend!!

Leave it to Madonna‘s daughter to try a cool new look! Lourdes Leon stepped out on her way to school in New York Thursday, sporting a funky new half-shaved do. The stylish 15-year-old — who’s had long dark hair forever — had her hair up in a bun, bringing extra attention to the edgy style.

Altho Lola‘s head shave isn’t as severe as Willow‘s, it’s deffo a bold look. It’s not very common for girls to want to shave their heads but I have to say, I’m a fan of any young person’s desire to make an expression in this way. While it’s true that some kids do stuff like this merely for attention or rebellion, I think it’s safe to say that Lourdes is well aware of the fact that she doesn’t need to do anything drastic just to get attention. Lola‘s look reminds me of the shaved head look that electronic artist Skrillex has been rockin’ for a while now. What do y’all think of Lola‘s new look? Are you a fan? There hasn’t been an official statement yet but Miley did post something onto Twitter which kind of confirms that she is no longer doing the film project. She said, “I really wanna work on my music this year! That’s all :)” Was this Miley’s way of telling us that she isn’t doing this film? A couple of weeks ago we heard Miley release a cover of Bob Dylan’s “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go,” which was part of a compilation for Amnesty International USA. It was clear in that release that Miley is definitely concentrating on her music because it was a beautiful track and really showed how much Miley’s voice and style has matured and improved.

Hotel Transylvania will also star Saturday Night Live‘s Andy Samberg, Cee Lo Green and Kevin James. It is reported to be released in September so we have a few months yet for this one. Selena is really busy into the acting gig at the moment. She starts filming her new movie, Spring Breakers soon with James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens. A teenage flick about, you guessed it, a group of kids partying it up while on Spring Break. Yawn…

To be honest, I don’t have a strong opinion about whether the character’s voice should have been Miley or Selena. I think they both would have done a fine job playing a young dracula girl. I’m assuming there was also a need for a female singing voice given that they were choosing between Miley and Selena. It is interesting that these two are being put into the same basket…Hmm…Do you think it should have been Miley or Selena?

Michael Lohan is finally gearing up to ask the burning question that may or may not have been on his mind for years — “Would you like fries with that?” Sources tell TMZ, Michael filed an application with a local Burger King in Palm Beach, Florida yesterday after he was released from a residential treatment facility — which he was sentenced to as part of a plea deal in his domestic violence case involving ex-GF Kate Major. According to sources, Lohan was moved to a 3-bedroom halfway house after his rehab release — and the counselors at the treatment center recommended he get a real job to pass the time … until his final release on March 16th. We’re told the job’s primary purpose isn’t to make money — though $7.75 an hour ain’t bad — it’s to help residents like Michael slowly assimilate back into normal society.

Okay, let’s be honest here … it is very easy to make fun of the man for applying for a job at Burger King … but I’m not really interested in doing that. There are a lot of hard-working people who work in the fast food industry and I have no desire to besmirch their good name. As much as it PAINS me to compliment Michael Lohan, I have to say that I am impressed that he seems to be doing everything he can to get his life back in order. My concern is that Lohan may think working at Burger King is an easy job when, in fact, I suspect it’s not as easy as he might think. Maybe the man needs a good dose of good old fashioned hard work to get his shizz straight. I’m hopeful that this fast food job will be good for him but, in all honesty, his track record doesn’t really lead me to believe that he is serious about this new endeavor. I guess we shall see.

It must be a big relief for Hilary that her little pup is recovering well from such a serious operation. Those with a pet will know that they are truly like a family member and something like this is devastating for the whole family. So glad to hear that Lola is doing well.

In other Hilary baby news, she is getting closer and closer to her due date. On Thursday, she updated us on things with her bub, tweeting, “Early morning dr appointment. Baby’s looking perfect! So it’s a great day..except for my ribs..which get a good solid kick every half hour!” So sweet! Earlier in the week she also wrote, “Laying around being lazy! its actually kinda hard for me to do!i just wanna attack the day but I’m sooo freakkken preggggs!C’mon baby! COOK!”

I love Hilary’s pregnancy updates. They are so lovely and real. Don’t worry Hilary, baby is cooking and getting ready to come out and say hello very soon. About a month after the world started buzzing about the baby name Blue Ivy, parents Jay-Z and Beyonce are applying to get the moniker trademarked. An approved trademark could give them the rights to transform Blue Ivy from tiny baby into billion-dollar brand. While Boston event planner Veronica Alexander had already named her business Blue Ivy before the baby was born, two other individuals recently submitted applications to trademark the name after the highly publicized birth, possibly leading the celebrity couple to hasten their own application. On Jan. 11, fashion designer Joseph Mbeh attempted to trademark “Blue Ivy Carter NYC” and later said in a statement that his intention was to pitch a line of products to Jay-Z and Beyonce, while on Jan. 20, a second applicant tried to trademark “Blue Ivy Carter Glory,” reportedly for a line of fragrances. The Trademark Office denied both applications. Could the pending application by Beyonce’s company, BGK Trademark Holdings, be affected by existing businesses such as the Blue Ivy event planning business or the Blue Ivy clothing boutique in Sturgeon Bay, Wisc., which got approval for the trademark on its name in August 2011? “If there are existing companies using the name, it may impede Beyonce and Jay-Z from using their child’s name, but if the Trademark Office denies the application, they can amend it and change the descriptive use of their name — such as for different products — and even amend the name slightly to see if the trademark would be accepted,” said attorney Vikki Ziegler. As far as businesses that try to use the Blue Ivy name in the future, they’ll be open to liability “for all sorts of damages if the trademark is granted for Jay-Z and Beyonce,” Ziegler said. “It is a great measure of protection for superstars to protect others piggybacking off of their child identity/name/likeness to gain wealth. Imagine if they create fragrances, strollers or clothing with Blue Ivy Carter’s name and another company puts her name on their merchandise and makes $5 million? A mega lawsuit would be filed possibly for revenue, damages, legal fees and the like.” Only in the world of celebrities could a baby wield such powerful business rights. “Mega celebrities choose to protect their wealth and offspring by trademarking their family names and children in part to monetize their wealth and protect others from cashing in on their celebrity status,” Ziegler said.

As crazy as this may sound to some, it does make sense. Yes, if B-Jay are successful in their attempt to trademark Blue Ivy for their use then they will ensure that no other people can profit from the little girl’s fame. And while it is possible that Jay-Z might launch a line of Blue Ivy products at some point, my gut tells me the real reason for this trademark is to protect the baby’s name. Now, as for the other trademark holders … they are in a strong negotiating position should they want to pass the trademark off to Beyoncé and Jay. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if B-Jay decide to shell out a considerable sum of money to acquire this trademark. See folks, celebrities have problems, too. We’ll have to wait and see who ends up owning the name Blue Ivy.

Brown’s attorney argued in court yesterday that the singer has been honest with probation officers, passed all of his drug tests and has “made great strides” while under supervision. Brown has also completed half of six months of community service, including roadside cleanup and graffiti removal. Judge Goerge Lomeli said in his ruling that it was not unreasonable for the star to remain under supervision until he completes more of his community service hours.

It was never confirmed whether Chris and Ri-Ri were in fact ‘hanging out.’ These were all just rumors and my personal opinion is that it wasn’t quite accurate. I am even more convinced of this now given that Chris is still in and out of court and dealing with his sentence, probation officers and community service. I cant imagine that Ri-Ri is able to put all of that behind her and ‘hook up’ with Chris…

Chris’ attorney is saying that he has “made great strides” and is doing well with his community service and drug tests. The court though has still decided that he needs to remain under the watchful eye of probation. I am happy to hear that Chris is reforming, but it does still give me chills thinking about him beating up Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time. It actually makes me feel slightly sick.

It has been reported that there have been serious threats to Halle’s life from a stalker, so she is asking a judge for a change to her custody rights so that she can move to France with Nahla. Evidently, Nahla’s dad, Gabriel Aubry is not happy about this and is trying to prevent Halle from taking Nahla out of the country.

According to TMZ, Robert Hoskins, a man who suffers from a psychological condition and who escaped from a mental institution last week has made serious threats to Halle’s life, telling her that he wants to “slit her throat.” You might remember that this was the same guy that threatened Madonna a few years ago and was actually shot by her bodyguard after he trespassed onto Maddie’s property back in ’95. So this guy actually has a history. Yikes!

Understandably, Halle is very scared because a threat like that, even from someone who has a history of mental illness is terrifying. And, in some cases, someone with a mental illness actually has more of a potential to actually go through with a threat like this one. Accepting that this story is accurate, and not an exaggeration, I feel for Halle because she has to put her safety and the safety of Nahla above everything else. I am conscious though of the amount of time Halle is spending in court these days, fighting the law or someone else. A lot of Pink readers have commented that Halle has become quite a fighter these days.. still, this is pretty scary.

Ellen Barkin will be taking on the role of the surrogate mother. She is know for her work on Broadway and indie flicks including, Another Happy Day and The Normal Heart, for which she received a Tony award. Andrew Rannells has also signed on to play one of the male leads. He comes to us via Book Of Mormon, e the musical that collected 9 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and cemented it’s stature as the best offering from Broadway this season.

Ryan Murphy is really becoming the man about town. Yesterday we heard that the American Horror Story creator confirmed on the late night TV talk show ‘Watch What Happens Live’ that the AMAZING Jessica Lange will be returning for the second season. Matthew proposed to Camila on Christmas morning and she chose a 3 stone rose-cut diamond but she is only wearing it now, quite a few weeks after the proposal. She said, “it feels so great…it’s a beautiful ring.”In the pic above you can’t see the ring in too much detail, but it is a dainty platinum band with one larger solitaire in the middle and 2 smaller rocks straddling the main diamond. It has quite an old world feel to it, and I have to say, for such a massive star, Matthew has chosen to adorn his wife-to-be with a very tasteful and down to earth engagement ring. It’s lovely to see a non over-the-top ring for a change with a star that could afford pretty much whatever he wanted to buy his fiance. I think it says a lot about them both.

It must be a wonderful time to be Anne Rice. Not only is her return to supernatural fiction, The Wolf Gift, just a few days away from publication (look for it 2/14/12), but today comes news that The Tale of the Body Thief, Book IV of The Vampire Chronicles, is heading to the big screen! According to THR, Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment has optioned the rights to Rice’s The Tale of the Body Thief. Imagine used its partnership with India’s Reliance Big Entertainment to fund the acquisition, and it is using the Imagine Reliance Writers Lab to work on the script. Lee Patterson, who wrote a well-regarded screenplay titled Snatched, is working on Body Thief. Producing with Imagine are Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and Karen Kehala-Sherwood, the Imagine exec who oversees the Lab, and the company’s Erica Huggins are exec producing.

As you may recall, Tom Cruise played Lestat in the 1994 film Interview with the Vampire and Stuart Townsend played the role in the 2002 sequel film Queen of the Damned. Any successful Lestat film is completely reliant on the right casting. I’m not sure who I’d like to see in the role but it has to be someone, well, perfect. Alexander Skarsgaard comes to mind but I don’t know that he can play another vampire while he is still featured in the HBO series True Blood. The basic premise of Tale of the Body Thief is that after centuries as a vampire, Lestat decides to trade bodies with a human so that he can be reminded of what it is like to be mortal again. When the body theif doesn’t want to give back his body, Lestat must enlist the help of others to get his body back. I am cautiously optimistic that Body Thief will make a good film but, again, it all comes down to casting. Let’s wait and see who wins the role of Lestat in this new film before we really start celebrating.

Michelle Obama has once again flexed her muscles against a TV host, but this time she invited Jimmy Fallon to the White House to complete a series of fitness challenges. She was competed against the host of ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ in push-ups, tug-of-war and dodgeball, as well as a final battle in the form of an amusing sack race. She is promoting her ‘Let’s Move’ initiative, which encourages healthy eating and keeping physically fit for American kids. Fallon opened the segment in the studio, which aired on NBC by explaining on his show ‘we make exercise and staying healthy a top priority.’ He continued, ‘We’re also big fans of the First Lady’s ‘Let’s Move’ initiative, which encourages kids to get active.’ The NBC host said that he ‘connected’ with a clip of Obama when she stated she is ‘pretty much willing to make a complete fool out of myself to get our kids moving.’ Fallon then said, ‘I make a fool of myself every night, so I decided to go down there and help the First Lady out.’ Greeting Fallon at the White House, the First Lady asked, ‘Are you ready for a little competition?’
They then began their series of fitness tests.

She makes one helluva First Lady and I am continually impressed with the lengths she will go to in order to try and get kids interested in physical fitness. Jimmy is a good sport, no doubt about it … but this segment looks like fun, not work. Isn’t this the funnest thing you’ve seen all day? I love it!

I’ve yet to find a photo of the pair together but as you can see, they are both in Bangkok at the same time. It looks like Eva spent some time getting to know the city while Ryan was bizzy working on his film. I’m sure the couple managed to find some alonetime in between all the sightseeing and film making. As I said yesterday, it really seems to me that these two are seriously serious about one another. Without question, Eva Mendes is one lucky lady.

Could it be that Madonna has enlisted her pal Britney Spears for MDNA? Well, according to a leaked album jacket, it seems that Spears is making an appearance on the album’s lead track, “Girls Gone Wild.” This would mark the second collaboration on the album. Madonna nabbed Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. for the album’s first single, “Give Me All Your Luvin’.” While the leaked jacket, which appeared on Britney fansite Breatheheavy.com, can’t be confirmed as authentic, a rep for Madge had no comment about the rumor, neither confirming nor denying it. Meanwhile, a rep for Spears never returned MTV News’ request for comment.

Yeah, my gut tells me that this is a totally faked image … but far be it for me to not pass along this bit of information on the off chance that it might turn out to be true. After all, we know that Madonna has an affinity for working with our dear Britney and we know that Britney has an affinity for performing guest spots on other people’s songs (remember her collaboration with Rihanna on S&M last year?). Madonna was a featured performer on Britney‘s song Me Against the Music so it’s possible that Britney is now returning the favor. At this point, this all seems like wishful thinking to me … but it is in the realm of possibility that this collab might actually turn out to be real. Last week, we got to hear a short snippet of Girls Gone Wild … do you think it’s really possible that she might be featured on the full album version of the song?

He’s got two of the most famous celebrities in the world as his parents, so it stands to reason that Cruz Beckham will be a little spoiled on his birthday. But judging by pictures of David and eldest son Brooklyn leaving the Toys R’Us store in Los Angeles loaded with shopping bags, the little boy has no idea just how lucky he will be when he turns seven on February 20th. David and Brooklyn were seen carrying at least five large shopping bags packed with goodies for the sportsman’s youngest son, including a Nerf bow gun, a Matai car and some Playmobil toys. However, while Cruz will undoubtedly be overwhelmed by the generosity of his parents on his big day, David said in a recent interview that his and wife Victoria’s four children don’t take their privileged lifestyles for granted. He explained: ‘It would be easy for our kids to sit back and not work for anything, but they’re not like that. They’re as competitive as Victoria and me. We’re very lucky with our boys. They want to win. They want to work at something. They know their values. That’s the way we’ve brought them up so far, and that’s the way we’ll continue to bring them up.’

You know, something tells me that this is just the tip of the birthday gift iceberg for sweet little Cruz this year. My guess is that he will be presented with a mountain of gifts to open on his big day … the lucky little scamp. In regards to Becks‘s assertion that his boys will work when they grow up, well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. It would be really nice if they did grow up to be hard working individuals but I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if they end up working as little as possible. For now, they’re all still kids … and lucky kids at that. I just hope the Beckham children really do appreciate just how fortunate they truly are.
