The Pink Pig Sponsors a Walk For The Cure

Each year the Pink Pig sponsors a "Walk for the Cure" to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness. This year our third annual event will take place on October 12th in the town of Westport, NY.

Our small town last year raised $3000 and this year's goal is $5000. My friends Dan and MaryJean, who are local artists, have made these pretty Pink Ribbon sun catcher's. Each measures 6 inches high and are strung on a pink tulle ribbon. All proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Purchase at the Pink Pig.

Buttons Buttons is a collection of one of a kind decorative pillows made from vintage domestic and imported fabrics, antique buttons, laces and trimmings designed by Barbara Smith. Her pillows are sometimes elegant, sometimes funny and whimsical, often nostalgic and always well designed and beautifully crafted.

Buttons Buttons designs pillows using cloth children's books from the early 1900's through the 1950's set into interesting feed sack and ticking fabrics.

Barbara trained and worked several years as an interior designer in Philadelphia area before establishing her studio in a pre-Civil War House on the Village Green in Jay, NY.
