Feeling super nautical in this top, it makes me feel like I'm on the beaches of Long Island again. The top I'm wearing is from Nomia, a New York City based line for women. I love finding brands that originated from the city that I live in. I think it gives you a more personal connection to the clothing.

Lately I've really been enjoying more classic and modern feminine looks. Is it love in the air? Or the smell of recently bloomed tulips? Probably both :) You can find more by Nomia by going here

As many other fashion bloggers, New Yorkers, and alley cats etc have said this season is... it's been too damn cold! By the time you reach the end of your block your face is numb and your eyes are tearing from the fierce winds. By the time the crossing light says "walk" (so you can maybe not get smashed into by a Citi biker) your nose is running and you realized you forgot your tissues on the table. Oh, and by the time you get to your destination well... remember the scene in The Shining when Jack Nicholson is frozen in the snow? ...to the T.

During my blogging hibernation period I have been on a wild goose chase of an iPhone app for fashion bloggers and lovers besides the typical Lookbook or Chictopia. And I found the perfect one! CREAM style is a new app with a style feed of the most recent looks posted by bloggers. It's basically an Instagram for PURE fashion (and never #fashion with a picture of Starbucks ice cream or a beach scene like you'll often see on Instagram) with the vibe of a Tumblr minimalist theme.

The coolest part about CREAM style is if you love something they are wearing when you "heart it" it will save to your closet. And whenever you're ready you go to your closet and can purchase the same pieces from their look or a similar looking item. Personally my favorite feature about the shopping option in the app is that its all done through the app. Your iPhone screen isn't constantly flipping between apps and opening excessive amounts of browser tabs.

I've always said to my friends while browsing tumblr, blogs, or clothing websites "I wish I could just copy and paste that into my wardrobe, and then drag and drop it onto my body". And --I die-- because that's literally what CREAM style does. CREAM style also offers other user features and search tools, but I'm telling you... just download it! And I bet that you will add it to your iPhones home screen just like I did. Btw! If you don't have an Apple device you can still follow them on Instagram: @cream_style

In Motion

2014-01-30T09:50:00.001-05:00

Normally I do fashion related posts but recently I became interested in videos made up of various footage, home made videos blended with stock footage… that sort of thing. I really enjoy this song and I came across this video so I decided to share it with you all. I've started to toy around with making some videos myself on my computer or iPhone. Any suggestions for apps/websites/programs? Maybe I will post one when I get it just right :)

In love with these two new lipsticks I got as a birthday gift. Rihanna's Fall Collection for MAC has been selling out everyday! So if you see one... grab it! I've been wanting to get a new dark lipstick for fall and RiRi Hearts Mac "Talk That Talk" is exactly what I was looking for.

It is officially one week from spring... Yay!!!! Which begins the season of festivals, warm smiles, lazy days on boats, and lemonade.

I am excited to announce that I will be entering spring with lovely watches courtesy La Mer Collections! The reason I love La Mer is because they are a unique type of watch, like a lot of the accessories I like to wear. They aren't your typical snap on and go, "oh look at the time!" watch. A lot of La Mer watches are wrap style watches (which have always been my favorite since I laid my eyes on them) with the option of chains, charms, studs, etc.

La Mer Collections was super sweet and let me choose three watches from their collection! The rose gold shown above is the first of three. Im very excited to sport this around town, rose gold is the perfect accent for this up coming season. I will be posting the other two over the week, so be sure to keep checking back!

Make sure you are always on time this spring by clicking here to check out more from La Mer Collections!

Cardigan - F21, Trench - Kenneth Cole, Glasses - Nasty Gal

The other day I went to the Hamptons for a job interview at a boutique after grabbing a light breakfast from The Golden Pear. Then I spent the rest of the day venturing around on the beach collecting shells and talking to these cool surfer guys with my friend. I love spending time in the Hamptons... the atmosphere is so inviting, beautiful, and fun. If you ever come to Long Island a visit to the Hamptons is a must!

SS2013

must haves by laurenvwelch

1. Floppy hat

2. Statement necklace

3. Transparent frame sunglasses

4. Feminine Dresses

5. White sneakers

6. Something hologram

7. Cut out swimwear

Just threw together a few things that I have had my eye on or have recently purchased for the up coming season. Right now I am loving dresses that have a very feminine cut to them. I think there is nothing more beautiful then a woman's figure without "showing anything". Hope you enjoyed my post! What are you guys or gals spring/summer must haves this year? Write it below!

Today is absolutely beautiful! Celebrating the melting of the snow from the blizzard that just hit NY -- almost two feet. Nearly everyone was snowed in and couldn't go anywhere. I spent several days with my friend Kayla catching up on Girls on HBO. If you haven't seen Girls I suggest you watch it because its hilarious! You will be hooked! I love it, minus the fact that Hannah is always naked. Also I had a moment of "spunky sass" and decided to cut myself a new do. Bangs, as you can see.

This week I've been obsessed with the song "I don't care" by Icona Pop (Which I had on loop during today outfit post) It sounds so familiar as if I have hear it on a Tv show or something, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Anyone have an idea?

Valentines Day is near... not clear of what my plans are just yet but I do know it involves a cake!
