Couldnt sleep so I decided to sign up for multiply and browse the Multiply Marketplace to search for something. When I ran out of stuff to search, I tried browsing the Makeup section of the Marketplace and came across a multiply store thats actually owned by a thief.

I dont get why FULLTIME sellers cant have the audacity to invest on testers and have someone else (or themselves) do their own swatches and they just resort to stealing photos from websites and they even have the nerve and lots and lots of time to edit the photos to remove the watermarks so they can claim ownership of such photos. Ang kakapal ng mukha!!

I dont wanna rant about this & I didnt wanna waste time sharing this here, but I think its right for me to assert ownership of MY photos and to teach those thieves a lesson.

The swatches I post on this blog are done with patience and dedication, hindi biro na magswatch ng daan-daang lipsticks just to keep my blog going and to help out my friend in her online business.

What part of the watermarks dont you thieves understand?

DigitalTraincase and ThePinkThoughtBubble owns the photos that you grabbed without permission.

Here are some photos from the NYX Round lipstick album of the thief.

Though some photos are distorted from her huge effort in editing them, I can still recognize how MY lips look like. Please dont make a fool out of yourselves, thieves, if you mean straight business, make sure you start off clean. Use your own pictures or ask for permission before grabbing anything.

I replied on each photo she stole from me. Lets see if she would just block me from viewing her page. I dont care anymore since Im also done reporting her site for stealing content anyway.

I really dont get why some people want to make money out of something and they steal someone else's photos and swatches para lang maka-benta.

FYI lang to all the nyx sellers who are reading this and who plans to steal some of my photos too, Sol of DigitalTraincase invested money on providing testers for her buyers and for proper swatching of the products, so please have some respect for her pati narin sakin since I took much of my time doing all those swatches.

Etude House Perfect Brow Kit

I started being so keen about my brows since Sophomore years in Highschool, and eversince I learned how to apply makeup, Ive been as keen on picking the perfect brow filler that doesnt make me look BlusangItim-ish (if you dont have any idea what Blusang Itim is, just imagine Charlie Chaplin's 'stache as your brows. Nuff said. LOL!)

Benefit BrowZings in Medium used to be my HG brow filler after realizing that The Face Shop's brow kit have strong olive tones and that one of the colors look more army green than brown. (did anyone else notice this?) After reading beauty blogs and watching makeup tutorials on YouTube, I learned the significance of applying brow bone highlighters in emphasizing the arch of my brows and making it look cleaner so I used to bring around 2 tiny compacts (browzings + bourjois ombre stretch blanc) just for my brows. How inconvenient, right?

It was really refreshing when I came across one product that has contains 2 wearable shades (well at least for me) and one highlighter.

Its from Etude House and its called "Perfect Brow Kit"

As usual, English translations only apply to the product name itself and the rest of the stuff written on the packaging is in Korean characters.

I like that the compact size is quite similar to that of my Benefit BrowZings.

Also like the color which is sort of deep plum with shimmer.

The design printed on top of the compact is cute too. Dreamy. I just hate that it rubs off pretty fast. I wish they used paint that lasts longer or something that gives an etched effect on the compact so it would look nicer and the print would last longer.

What I love about this kit is that the colors are just right. 2 brown shades that suit my preference perfectly and one highlighting powder that doesnt have strong whitish base plus the shimmer is finely milled that it doesnt give a fake/drawn effect on the brow bone.

Pigmentation is just right as well, I love that the brow powders arent that pigmented that I dont need to be extra careful in using this to create a soft fill on sparse areas on my brows.

The highlighter goes on sheer as well and just adds the right pop of light on the brow bone.

Now you're prolly thinking how I was able to say I love something when I havent even used the compact yet. Right?

I dont think I was able to capture how deep those dents are, but that pan has deep dents already. I hate that it seems like I dip my brush in just one spot. Im gonna start taking product off the "untouched" portions next time. (OC lang. LOL!)

I just thought this kit wouldve been more perfect if it comes with a brow setting wax, agree?

I have to bring my Palladio Brow Wax pencil whenever I use this one to make the powders last longer.

Found this on the Etude House page, decided to share it here. I find it cute that they write descriptions that way, some people find it funny that the translations are done quite literally sometimes but I dont really mind as long as I understand what theyre talking about. ^_^

My mom find the brushes too small for her liking, she wants her brow brushes a bit longer for more control and for better grip, I think otherwise though, I love the brushes that come with this kit, I even think the brushes are better than the ones that came with my BrowZings.

The brow powders last fairly long on me, 4hours perhaps then I would need slight retouching already but the highlighting powder wears off faster, after an hour or so, its gone. I figured though that it lasts longer when I use UDPP before I apply the highlighting powder.

Loves it. Doesnt irritate my eyes or the skin around my eye area.

I dont think so. Unless they announce that theyd discontinue this product.

I have 2 backups though. LOL!

It doesnt say on the packaging but I would say ideally 12months or until its still good to use.

Not sure about the exact price of this on local Etude House stores, but I got my EH PB Kits for Php 545.00 from Joeanne/TheLittleCoolShop.

Would be more convenient to buy from local

Dolce & Gabbana The Perfect Finish Creamy Foundation

Its been a few months since I stopped buying blushes but started to have this thing for foundies, I still have a lot of foundies in my stash but lately, Ive been really curious about trying out more since I got fascinated by how great one could look as long as you got the perfect foundie that suits your skintone and skintype well.

I got my Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Finish Creamy Foundie a few days back, and I fell in love with it. I wanted to publish a review for it rightaway but decided to test it for a couple more days to see how it works on me.

To cut things short, here's my review. :)

Initially, the packaging looks similar to the pot of my Dior Pro Cheeks blush, but whats surprising is that this one's actually made of Glass instead of Acrylic which makes it really heavy and more delicate.

The design/theme is pretty simple -- Gold and Crystal (Glass) which screams elegance.

I love that it says when the product expires, it guarantees you that you are getting something made fresh from their factory in Italy.

The packaging can be a fingerprint and scratch magnet, so it would be really nice if you have a velvet pouch or you can opt to keep the box so you can store this baby safely.

There are a few things that I dont like about the packaging though.

1. Its heavy.

2. Its too chunky which makes it bulky.

3. It only contains 30ml of product. I wish it has more.

4. Clumsy people (myself included) needs to be EXTRA EXTRA careful in handling this.

5. You cant tote this in your bag. The plastic disc (shown below) that guards the foundie from spilling doesnt secure a tight seal. Flip your pot over and there would be some foundie leaking off the edges.

6. I wish there was a provision for the spatula to be stored inside the pot itself, a small compartment on the lid perhaps so I wont risk losing the cutesy little spatula that comes with this foundie.

Overall, there are a lot of things that I dont like about the packaging, but the elegant design won me over. LOL! I wouldnt mind transferring some of this in a small pot just in case I wanna bring some with me when travelling or whatever.

Sounds good, right? Its even better in actual.

Aside from the elegant packaging, its the formula that really won me over and made me love this product to bits.

Im an NC25 and its quite hard for me to find foundies that match my skintone perfectly. Im glad I didnt have to waste this one since it blends with my skintone seamlessly.

I got it in Beige 78 by the way.

The formula is a gel-creme and based on the ingredient list of this, Water is the main component of this foundie which prolly explains why its different from other cream foundies Ive tried that bears this greasy, thick, heavy feel even if you only apply a thin layer.

Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Finish Creamy Foundation bears this thick texture and you need just a small amount for each application, it blends easily even without primer or makeup base. It provides great coverage, evens out the skintone and covers minor imperfections.

Coverage is buildable too, Ive tried one, two and three layers of this foundie and there was no settling, uneven finish or heavy feel at all. And how can I skip this, it has SPF15 plus it doesnt oxidize too given the fact that Im acidic and the weather can be pretty crazy here in the Philippines.

A swatch at the back of my hand with one layer of foundie. There isnt much difference right? But if you look at it closely, the foundie did a great job in making the skintone look more polished and even, the green-ness of my hand veins isnt visible anymore.

In relation to the price, I honestly think this foundie is worth every penny. Its a great investment in my honest opinion. But since this foundie is one of the most expensive ones in the market, it would be best to get your accurate shade match first before purchasing.

I wish all makeup manufacturers do this, put translations of the ingredient list in English as well so most of us can understand whats in them. Especially Japanese products! *sobs*

One trick that would make your foundie look natural is be stingy -- apply foundie little by little. Dont use a huge dollop at once or you would look like youve been smothered with melting cake frosting. Apply foundie one thin layer at a time, let the previous layer dry for a few minutes after putting on another layer to avoid foundie from settling on fine lines and creases.

Since the coverage of this foundie is nice too, you can also use this as a concealer. Dont expect it to cover everything though especially those imperfections that needs color correction first prior to concealer application.

My skin's not acting up lately, I dont get oily too unlike before and this foundie stays on all day on me. 7-8hours with minor retouching or minimal blotting needed. No kidding.

Oh yesss! Ill kick my face (how?!!!) if I break out from something this expensive and this good. LOL!!

Definitely! I hope they wont stop making these. I would surely get a backup once I consume half of this pot that I have.

Ideally, 12-18months, but if you sanitize the spatula before dipping it in the pot then this would keep longer. It expires 2013 anyway. As long as there are no adverse reactions from using it, then I think it can be considered safe to use. :)

The price can break a lot of hearts, Im sure. Im also wishing this would come cheaper so I can hoard. LOL!

Silica Gel Packets on Your Makeup Storage

Today, Im gonna share a little trick that I use to keep my makeup fresh and make their shelf life longer.

Humidity or moisture in the air makes an excellent environment for bacteria and mold growth, and because makeup looks clean doesnt mean its free from molds and unwanted microorganisms. Yeah, we cant really make them 100% free from bacteria, right? But we can at least make the environment less conducive for them to multiply.

Dont you just hate it when your CARGO blush pan (or any other makeup brand that comes in tin/metal packaging) starts to oxidize/develop rust? Or when that NARS compact starts to get sticky?

Keeping Silica Gel Packets on your makeup storage would solve your problem.

But first, take note that cosmetics with "Rubberized" packaging like NARS should NOT be cleaned with alcohol that contains moisturizers -- a lot of alcohol brands sell alcohol with moisturizing ingredients nowadays to compensate for the drying effect of alcohol, emollients melt the rubberized coating over time, and when you add moisture or humidity from the air, it speeds up the "melting" process of the rubberized coating thus making it feel sticky.

I use 3M Lint-Free Cleaning Cloths for Gadgets + Non-Moisturizing Alcohol solution to clean my makeup.

Here's one of my makeup boxes :

That blush box is supposed to contain all my NARS, CARGO and Pop Beauty blushes, but as you can see, it contains blushes from other brands too. Havent found time to reorganize (in other words, was too lazy wahaha) and segregate my blushes lately LOL!

Anyhoo, I keep a 50gram packet of Silica Gel for each makeup box that I have including my box for makeup application tools since I dont like keeping my brushes and sponges in brush stands coz I dont want them to catch dust. More than keeping these moisture-sorbent packets in makeup boxes, I think its more important to have them in your application tools storage, since those are more prone to development of molds because of the constant contact with moisture.

Some of the NARS blushes I have are more than a year old, and theyre still in pristine condition, texture of the compacts are still the same when I first got them.

There are smaller packets of silica thats available in the market, like these 2gram packs that I also have.

But I think the bigger ones are more efficient in absorbing moisture thats why those are the ones that I use for my stuff. Aside from makeup and makeup tools storage, Silica Gel packets also help keep your shoes and bags mold-free. Store 4-5 small packets inside the dustbags or shoeboxes and you wont have to worry about mold formation. It would also help if you clean and air-dry your shoes and bags prior to storage, moisture sorbent packets also avoid formation of "kulob" odors that would make you smell like youve been stored inside Lola's century-old baul. LOL!

For the 50gram packets I keep inside my makeup storage boxes, I replace them every year. :) But if you are keeping smaller packets, expect to replace them more often since they lose efficiency in absorbing moisture over time.

Since good brands can be a little expensive, then it wont hurt to think of ways to prolong their lifespan, so we get to maximize what we pay for, Right?

OOOPS!!! How can I forget, put several packets also inside storage cases of your SLRs and lenses to prevent formation of molds from condensation and humidity.

Where to buy?

There are some being sold on eBay.ph, 100 packets for Php250.00 those are the small packets though. These bigger ones we get from our supplier who's based in the Binondo/Divisoria area. Will update this post for the pricing and other details. :)

DIY Handyman also has them, but its another type that turns moist or gel like after some time thats why I prefer these dry ones.

A Fairly Odd Post

I cant remember exactly when my penchant for tin lunchboxes started, Im guessing

its prolly because I want my stuff to have their own containers (the OC-ness strikes again) so I wont have to dig into mountains of clutter before I find anything.

I was browsing eBay the other day and I forgot how I came across a listing for a

Fairly Odd Parents Lunchbox. I decided to buy it for 2 reasons.

1. Honey loves watching the animated series.

2. The handle and the shape of the lunchbox itself is cute.

Its my first lunchbox thats of a different shape other than the traditional squarish or rectangle ones.

I love the magic wand handle! <333

How many lunch kits out there come with unique handles, right? LOL

I clicked Buy-It-Now without reading the details of the auction, so the hologram detail at the back was a cute surprise and ads a more unique touch to the lunchbox.

Its not something that big kids could bring to school coz its quite small, it can barely fit one

brick pack of juice + one small sandwich.

You are prolly asking what Im gonna use this for, well, Im not sure. Haha!

Im kinda liking the idea of making my lunchbox collection bigger.

DiOR Pro Cheeks Ultra Radiant Blush

Sharing one of my favorite blushes of all time. :)

Im guilty of keeping some of my blushes past their expiry dates, thats the reason why

Im really mindful about cleanliness/hygiene whenever I use my makeup, so I wont

risk contaminating them, thus, prolonging their lifespan.

Whenever Im too lazy to think of which blush to use, clean, cool-toned pale pink ones would be my go-to cheek product. Dior Pro Cheeks in 835 Girlie Pink is by far, one of the best cool pink blushes Ive ever tried. I just love it to bits!

This comes in a cute acrylic pot with a silver lid thats etched with "Dior" all over the sides.

I like the clean, simple design of the packaging, also love the size of the pot, its tiny enough which makes it convenient to stash in your purse, but big enough to hold a lot of product that would last you a long time to use up.

It holds 6grams of product, which is quite a lot compared to other blushes out there.

The teeny pot can be deceiving though and would make you think this isnt worth the pricetag, but it is, I swear. Read on to know more about it. ^_^

I just wanna share a little blooper I had after taking all the pictures I need for this review, I was fixing my stuff when a thought popped out of nowhere -- "If I accidentally drop the blush pot, would it break? I think I have to mention that in my review". I pulled my newspaper-themed lunchbox that I used as background while taking photos of this blush when I heard a pop.

Something fell...

And my question was answered rightaway. Bwahahaha!

Now, isnt that gorgeous? :) It lives true to its name -- Girly Pink.

Its a nice clean shade of pale pink with ultra-fine shimmer that would give you a radiant,

glowing wash of color.

What Sephora says about it :

"Velvety, souffle-soft cheek color. Add chic to cheek this season like Dior's top makeup artists did on the models during fashion week. Banish that winter pallor with a single touch of this radiant, natural-looking, long-lasting cheek color that blends to a sheer, natural finish."

At first, I was hesitant to try this as Ive tried a couple of mousse blushes that got me disappointed. Due to the lightweight formula of air-whipped mousse blushes, most of them would just sit on top of your cheeks waiting to be gone in few minutes time. I dont even have any idea where those blushes go after you apply them. It seems like theyre super lightweight that they melt away in an instant as well.

Not in this case though, aside from having superb pigmentation, this can be considered the best mousse blush ever formulated. No kidding. Its lightweight and velvety that its effortless to blend on the cheeks.

And once it dries, it doesnt budge. Not even if you try to rub it off with light pressure, and speaking of drying time, less than a minute or so after you blend it in, the blush sets to a seamless wash of radiance. I just couldnt stop raving about this product. Its just pure love.

And before I forget, a lot of people are raving about this too!

As a matter of fact, its rated 4.7 on Sephora and has a similar rating on Makeup Alley as well.

Need I say more? :)

I did a heavy swatch so as to show the intensity of pigment that you can create with this. Took me 3 sheer layers to achieve this pigmentation. See the tiny specks of shimmer? Thats the kind of shimmer that even people with open pores on the cheeks wouldnt hate.

A lot of people prefer powder blushes for 1 simple reason -- theyre easier to work with. On the other hand, a lot of people steer away from liquid/cream ones because theyre just too complicated to use. Right?

Being a member of a beauty forum + being a blush junkie at the same time, I always get questions on how to properly use liquid/cream cheek colours, and Im sure a lot of people would actually say, apply the liquid/cream blush first before applying your powder foundie so it wont cake. It makes sense.

But wouldnt it be great if you can also use your blush on top of your foundie without compromising the flawless finish you always want to achieve even if foundie is in powder form?

I heard you say yes, and this breaks that little rule on cream blushes, Dior Pro Cheeks can be applied on top of your powder foundie and it wont cake, thats one more reason why I love this blush. You get to enjoy the actual shade of it since it wont hide under your setting powder or your powder foundie. <333

How to blend it in? Use a dry, sanitized foundie brush or your clean fingers. Whatever works for you would be good. :)

I did mention above that once this blush dries, it doesnt budge even if you try to rub it off with light pressure. Its because this blush dries to a cheektint effect.

I even read HERE that this is one of the water resistant products from Dior.

Dior EyeShow and Dior Pro Cheeks: “These are products that are crease-proof and water-resistant so YOU can do your eyes and cheeks without worrying about them moving when your skin heats up.”

Its okay to be stingy when you use this blush since you just need a little product for the color to show up on you, plus, it stays on almost all day with just minor retouching needed considering our weather's pretty crazy here in the Philippines.

Definitely backup worthy. I wanna kick myself for buying just one extra pot for this. Im on the last pot and Ive used up about 20% of it already. *sobs*

Ideally, this should be discarded a year after your first use.

Had this blush with me since 2 years ago and its still good to use.

Not sure about the exact USD pricing at that time, but my memory serves me well that it costs around 650 when converted to Philippine Pesos.

The Hand of Hope

When I started this blog, I promised myself not to post anything thats not makeup-related. Nothing personal. Nothing that involves anything that tackles the things that get through me. This is an exception and I hope you guys read on since its something that moved me. Something that I know, made me a better person. Ill try my best not to be boring, but I promise reading everything on this entry will be worth it.

Its not everyday that we come across something or someone that could make us realize the value of life, most of the time, once the road (aka. life) gets a little bumpy, we always end up sulking about life being unfair, that we dont deserve all those complications that life has to offer. For the past few months, a lot of things happened to me, which brought me to realize one thing- Life is way more than all those negativities we complain about, that each waking day is a gift, something we must be thankful for in every way no matter how "difficult" life is for us.

Let me share one of the things that brought me to wake up to that realization...

The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner. The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother's womb. Little Samuel's mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta. She knew of Dr. Bruner's remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, he performs these

special operations while the baby is still in the womb.

During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr. Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon's finger. Dr. Bruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was

the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile.

The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity. The editors titled the picture, "Hand of Hope." If I were to look for a picture that can best explain the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words", I wouldnt think twice, this picture would be the first thing that would cross my mind. Id have to admit I cried after reading through the message that came with it. The picture says everything, no need for detailed elaborations. Its just something that will shake you in a good way, something that will shoot you right thru the chest, something that will wake you from dwelling into something that drags you down.

Now If you think you are having a really tough time dealing with life, maybe its about time that you recall how blessed you are for having the gift of life, that the only thing you worry about is how to improve it and to make it fit your ideals. If you feel tired and burned out by how stressful your life is, be thankful that you arent struggling to be alive, because some people are and Im sure they would love to trade places with you if given a chance.

We dont need to worry much about why life doesnt always go our way, everything happens for a reason and life is ought to teach us something from all those experiences. Having negative thoughts and feelings about stuff is normal, but remember that ugly thoughts will just eat you and wont do you any good. Be happy and learn how to be appreciative even of the littlest things that you have, be happy and Im sure youll get to sleep peacefully at night.

That being said, last night, I had the most gorgeous sleep Ive ever had -- I slept for just three hours, but the best thing about it is that I woke up happy after I realized its about time to let go of the things that make me feel crappy.

The Hand of Hope brought me to a realization that transformed me.

So today, my inspirational thought would have to be :

Life is a blessing and its just too short to spend much of it being mad.

I think Id love to live with this principle. It wouldnt hurt to remind myself this once in a while. Right?

And oh! I love how Ogie Diaz says "Every gising is a blessing" never fails to brighten up my day. How about you, when was the last time you saw something that moved you?

You are prolly wondering why I couldnt think of a better title than that, right?

But I tell you thats the most appropriate title for this post.

I love bazaars and thrift shopping.

(I know I didnt have to say that, everyone loves shopping LOL!)

Clearance Sales and the like trigger the hoarder in me, to the point that I

always make unnecessary purchases.

Even stuff that Im clueless about, as long as I find it cute,

it would surely land in the shopping basket. That explains why it didnt matter

if I had no idea what was written on the label of the product Im gonna

review today, I just new I had to buy it right after I opened the compacts. ^_^

Clean, simple, classy and girly.

The compact itself is pretty thin and sleek, wont take much space from my makeup kit.

I love the floral, swirly details on the side. Sorry the cam's not in the mood to take pics earlier. Battery was about to pass out when I took these pictures.

One thing I dont like though is that I cant understand a thing on whats written under the compact. I wish they print labels with english translations at least, even just for the name of the product.

The farthest that my mind can translate is the word on the upper left corner which says T'estimo. ROFL!!

Suffice it to say, the packaging is one of the reasons why I got this.

And upon opening the compact ...

This is what I saw ...

Lovely, right? Who could refuse a great deal for this one?

1. Creamy Pearl Highlighter

2. Multi-tone Color Correcting Highlighters

3. Concealer Fixer

4. Multi-tone contour powder

I got 2 shades of this. One is the color correcting variant

And the other one is with neutral colors.

The shade selection of contour powders on this palette is a bit darker than the color correcting variant, but still, the colors are still subtle and would be hard to overdo.

Overall, the palette is impressive as it is very functional. The powders are finely milled and feel silky as you blend it on your skin. I also love that the bronzers dont bear orange tones.

There are 2 things that some people wouldnt like :

1. You would have to use a narrow brush for the highlight/contour portion since the pans are so slim, to give you an idea, they are a little smaller than the pans of shu uemura glow-ons.

2. I hope they came up with more palette combos that would suit those who have darker skintones since I think, these palettes would just work well on people with nc25 skintones or lighter.

For the highlight and contour portions, you can run your brush across the pans to mix the colors, or concentrate on using just one color to correct or to contour.

Here's how I use each segment of the compact :

1. Creamy Pearl Highlighter -- perfect to use on the inner corner of the eyes and the brow bone. its creamy and it doesnt feel greasy at all.

2. Multi-tone Color Correcting Highlighters -- from all the highlighters Ive tried, this, by far is the safest to use. The shimmers are so fine that it perfectly adds glow without being too obvious that its makeup. Run brush across the pan and blend to create subtle highlights on key areas of the face.

3. Concealer Fixer -- finely milled translucent powder that sets concealer to avoid caking or settling into fine lines. Honestly, I have no idea what its for but I figured it works really well in setting my undereye concealer.

4. Multi-tone contour powder -- you can never go wrong with this, even though you are a starter in creating contours on your face, this wouldnt make you look muddy or dirty. Run brush across or use each shade alone to define the forehead, cheekbones and on the sides of the nose to create an illusion of a slimmer nose bridge. These can be used as brow powders too!

4-5hours with minor retouching needed.

Loves it!

Definitely! the ones i took pictures of are already my backups, I was close to using up the first ones when my mom asked for them.. :)

No idea of the SRP since I cant find stock images or traces of this being sold anywhere in the world. But I got them for Php400.00 each from SMX during a cosmetics expo last year.

Like I mentioned above, I cant find this in Kanebo counters anymore, not even on ebay or other online cosmetic stores. :(

MiLANi Color Perfect Lipstick -- 16A Bing Cherry

Was supposed to do this tomorrow, but decided to share my review for the Milani Color Perfect Lippie in Bing Cherry now, like I mentioned on the last part of my previous post (Mango Mambo), I was a bit disappointed with this one since I relied too much on a swatch that I saw online which looks very far from the actual color of this lipstick.
(not blaming anyone, I know its my fault, was expecting too much ^_^)

Note : Will just copy some parts of the review from the previous entry since theyre just the same on some categories.

Milani is a drugstore brand in the U.S, I dunno when the brand started to get a bit famous but I assume its prolly when they released makeup shades that are excellent dupes for branded makeup.

The frosted goldish-silver or silvery-gold (?!) plastic tube looks blah. Didnt disappoint me though since its a drugstore brand anyway and it wont cost you much to buy this from its regular price, you just get what you pay for.

Overall, I dont mind having drugstore lippies with packaging that doesnt look attractive since what Im usually after is the contents, if the product itself would impress me, then I wont mind buying this item again.

What it says on the website :

"A creamy-smooth, full-coverage, lustrous lipcolor that makes lips look and feel magnificent! The unique contour tip perfects lip shape with a more precise application. "

True that, the formula is indeed creamy, smooth, highly pigmented and has a hint of sheen.

Please note that the frost ones got feedbacks that they feel gritty when applied.

One important thing I learned when I got this lipstick in the mail is : Dont rely too much on online swatches. There are a lot of factors that need to be considered that affects the color that you see on screen.

I was expecting Ferrari red, but instead, I got this deep red color that's similar to this :

The color isnt ugly, but I guess its too deep/strong for me that it makes me look masungit.

Thats what I mean when I said that we should know how to choose the right color to suit our skintone and undertone. More than that, choose a lippie shade that would enhance your look rather than a color that would make your features too strong. This is a very nice color but sadly, it doesnt look right for me, I feel that it doesnt suit me well. Its not something that I can wear comfortably.

This shade leaves a dark stain on the lips, make sure you use a sheer coat of lip balm underneath to minimize staining. That being said, I think its also necessary to use a lipliner before applying this to confine the color in your lips and prevent it from bleeding.

It lasts for about 4-5 hours with little retouching needed.

Honestly, no. Unless you like this shade.

12 months.

MiLANi Color Perfect Lipstick -- 23 Mango Mambo

Im a late bloomer when we talk about lipsticks, I used to wear lipsticks only during occasions that Im required to wear one, but if not, I would always reach for glosses.

I used to think wearing lipsticks make me look older, but then again I realized its

all about choosing the right color that suits you. Colors that go well with your skintone

and colors that complement your undertone.

After the hotpink to pale pink lipstick trend, there came the hype for orange lipsticks,

and I always thought orange can never be something that I can pull off but I was wrong, from all the orange lipsticks Ive tried and never looked nice on me,

I was able to score one orange lippie that went really well with my skintone and my undertone. It's Milani Color Perfect Lipstick in 23 Mango Mambo.

True that, the formula is indeed creamy, smooth, highly pigmented and has a hint of sheen. Well at least thats for this specific color that I got since it doesnt have shimmer, Ive read reviews that some of the frost ones feel gritty when applied, so please take note of that when buying.

23 Mango Mambo is far from the traditional orange lipsticks I see, it doesnt have a milky tone to it, but instead it looks more like hot orange to me. It has a strong red base which makes it more wearable than other orange lippies Ive tried. Its not the kind of orange that would make your lips stand out from the rest of your face, this color gives your lips a little more emphasis without going over the top. Not too bright, not too striking. Color is opaque, pigmentation is impressive as you would need just one swipe to make its true color show up on your lips. Formula is lightweight, doesnt have a waxy or oily feel to it.

One thing that can be an issue for some would be the scent, this lipstick bears this

perfume-like scent, its not fruity but more like a sweet, floral-ly one. Not an issue for

me since my sense of smell can actually tolerate it. The scent goes away minutes after application anyway.

Wore this lipstick lastnight to replace the typical red lipstick for a pinup girl look.

It looked really nice to pair with my Winged Black Liner and NARS Luster Blush.

Here's how it is on my lips :

(Sorry had to pixelate the areas around my lips, I forgot to wax my upperlip and it looks like a man's 'stache. LOL!)

One thing that makes me worry about wearing pigmented lipsticks is that it can stain or bleed to areas around the lips which doesnt look nice. I encountered that problem with my Styli-Style Lipstick in Romance which is a deep red shade so I kept my fingers crossed last night and brought makeup remover with me to clean up smudges just in case, but after 4 hours of wear, theres not even a teeny trace of smudging.

A tip I learned from other makeup junkies :

Use a longwearing lipliner and line your lips first before applying pigmented lipsticks, aside from making the color pop, it defines your lips even more and it prevents the lipcolor from sliding off and bleeding on the areas around your lips.

I dont think its necessary to use a lipliner for this product though.

Staying power is quite impressive for a drugstore lippie. It lasts for about 4 hours with little retouching needed since I tend to lick/wipe my lips once in a while.

Definitely backup worthy. Unless I see a similar shade from another brand that has better staying power.

Coastal Scents Destiny Kabuki On A Stick

Ive been a fan of this brush for how many years now and I have no clue as to why it got mixed reviews (mostly negative) all over the internet, I understand that people have their own preference and that affects their review for a certain product, but I cant really find the negative points they raised regarding this brush since I dont find it pokey, scratchy at all, I never even experienced fraying of the bristles even after several washes and this is like my 6th CS Kabuki on a Stick already, just had to replace the old ones because theyre just... well, old, and because I use it with liquid/cream foundies, made me think its more hygienic to replace it more often than the brushes I use for dry makeup.

I was also surprised to know that Aileen (Shades of U) uses this too and loves it for applying liquid foundies as well. Doesnt it feel nice when people you look up to uses the same stuff that you love? :)

Now, going back to the review..

The Size :

(Bristles: 1.19" (3.00 cm) | Ferrule: 1.94" (4.90 cm) | Handle: 2.38" (6.00 cm))

- the size of the brush head is just right that it doesnt take long for me to finish applying foundie on my whole face, its also small enough to reach tight spots such as the corners of my nose.

- the length of the handle is just right, the whole brush is just a bit longer than that of SE MAC brushes and compared to regular kabuki brushes, this has an edge for grip cuz of the handles. Long enough to give you a nice grip, but short enough to give you more control over the application.

The Shape, Density & Quality of Bristles :

- it has sable bristles which i find very soft and not pokey at all.
- density is just right to pack foundation and blend it to a natural finish, say goodbye to streaky foundies! :)
- because of the density of this brush, it doesnt eat up lots of product, thats why I choose this over sponges since it helps me maximize the foundies that I have.
- check the photo above, the brush on the left is of an almost-a-year-old one and on the right is of a brand new one, contrary to the reviews I found thru Google, I never experienced
bristle fraying even if I wash my brush at least 2x a week.
-if you would notice the density too, it doesnt have that much difference since the brush sheds a couple of bristles once in a while during washing but no heavy shedding or bristle breaks at all.

The Price :

I got this for Php400.00 on eBay.ph

Pretty cheap for something that works well and does a great job in applying foundie.

- Bad Reviews all over the internet means that it should be taken into consideration that buying this brush could be a hit or a miss.
- Drying time could be a little longer because of the density of this brush.
- Not available locally. Couldnt find local sellers anymore and I wanna get backups for this.

CHARM Retractable Kabuki Brush

On my previous post, I mentioned that something took the place of my Too Faced Retractable Kabuki brush, its from a local brand and its far better than TF's,

its the Charm Retractable Kabuki Brush.

Ive had this brush for more than a year now and I just thought its about time to give credit to its awesomeness. ^_^

The Size :

from the size of the whole thing, to the size of the brush head itself, all I can say is its perfect, it serves its purpose really well and is very convenient to tote around. handling the brush isnt also a problem since its size is just right to let you have a good grip on it.

The Shape, Density & Quality of Bristles :

- the dome shape spreads powder evenly.

- the brush is super soft and fluffy.

- picks up the perfect amount of product for each swipe.

- gives a light dusting of powder for each layer you apply which decreases the chance of caking.

- from the time I got this, I just remember seeing this shed just a few strands.

- it doesnt bleed.

- very easy to clean.

- the color of the bristles and the brush tube is pure love!

It would be easier to check if your brush needs to get a little bath already.

Some would see it as a turn off if you would need to clean this brush often for it to look pristine, but I see it as a pro than a con, imagine how dark colored bristles hide the actual condition of the brush?

Seeing how fast this brush gets 'dirty' with makeup means thats how often we should wash all our brushes, regardless of the color of the bristles.

Who wants to use a dirty brush anyway? :)

The Packaging :

Nothing else cuter than the silver and pink combo of the brush tube.

The silver tube on the inside also serves 2 purposes,

pull it up halfway to increase density of the brush for more precise buffing

or pull it up completely to protect the bristles from damage when recapping.

The Price :

Php 580.00

I love having brushes that are of prime quality but

doesnt burn a huge hole in the wallet.

I smell gastos.

I am now lemming for the gold one coz its so purrty. ^_^

Anything else that I hate? None. :)

Now you are prolly asking what made me say its far better than the one from Too Faced.

There are 2 things that stand out from Charm which made me decide to keep it and sell Too Faced instead.

1. First thing to consider is How they both perform - I tote around retractable kabukis for quick touch-ups, I use it to give my face a light dusting of finishing powder to polish off my look whenever I look messed up from heat or stress. LOL! TooFaced & Charm's bristles are identical, I dont see much difference between them, but the deciding factor is the length of the bristles. Charm's bristles are teeny bit longer than TooFaced, which explains why it does a better job in applying finishing powders without confining the powder in just specific spots of the face which would make blending more tedious. Blending fin pow with charm cuts the time in half since I also wont have to reapply blush after I blend my powder in.

2. The price - this one's pretty obvious, Charm is priced at Php580.00 considering that it performs better while Too Faced is priced at $32.00 which is about Php 1400.00.

Charm Retractable Kabuki is definitely something that gives more bang for the buck.

Too Faced Flatbuki Brush

This is an impulse buy but Im glad I didnt control myself from buying this one.

Why invest in good brushes?

The kind of brush you use plays a big role on how your makeup would look after, the density, the shape of the bristles and all those stuff can help you pack in more color, make it last longer or apply the colors precisely where you want 'em to be. Needless to say, good brushes will make your makeup look more clean and seamless.

One more important thing is the quality of materials -- you are sure that the materials theyve used on your brush is guaranteed to be safe for use on your face, especially when you have sensitive skin and would easily break out from stuff, and of course, the lifespan -- if your brush is of good quality, then the lifespan would definitely be longer, thered be minimal shedding, no bleeding and no unruly bristles after a few washing.

That pretty much explains why you should search for feedbacks first before buying brushes, Remember that expensive doesnt always mean its good and cheap doesnt always mean that the quality is compromised.

One great example is the Too Faced Flatbuki Brush.

it is super soft.

made of synthetic, "teddy bear" bristles - perfect for people with sensitive skin.

picks up just about the right color to make you look naturally flushing, say goodbye to clownish face with this brush.

blends the powder seamlessly, no harsh lines, no strong pigments.

it doesnt shed. Zero shedding after washing it thrice.

The Price :

$12.00 -- it cant get any better than this. Its a steal for something that

works well and is of superb quality.

The Packaging :

Now for a $12.00 brush, its quite impressive that it comes in her own little acrylic box.

Now you can show off this baby by storing it atop your vanity table without

having to worry that it would gather dust.

and how can I ever miss the best part of all?

The Color & Design :

its pink and has floral prints.

Nuff Said.

I know you guys want one, and the only thing I dont like

about this product is that it is not available locally.

Kryolan Dermacolor Camouflage Wheel

Aside from choosing the right shade of foundie, acquiring the skill of choosing the right concealer and blending it properly is crucial in helping you create a flawless look.

I breakout once in a while and what do breakouts do? They leave nasty marks on my face. O'Leary Covermark used to be my HG concealer until theyve pulled out the brand from SM/Watsons and replaced it with something thats blah. Not even sure if the brand they replaced it with is actually making more moolah compared to O'Leary before. I heard the brand is still available in HongKong but before I fully used up my last pot of O'Leary, I was introduced to Kryolan (Thanks, Martha!).

Stuff that caught my interest are the TV Paintstick and the 4ml pot of Dermacolor Camouflage Creme. I ordered rightaway after confirming my shade matches together with the Kryolan Stippling Brush and the ever-so-popular Kryolan Anti-Shine Powder.

First time I tried the Camouflage Creme, I instantly fell in love. It immediately took the place of my then-HG concealer that is O'Leary. Thinking my 4ml wouldnt last long, I placed an order for the fullsize 25ml pot rightaway. Without even thinking that each application would need just a few swipes of the product and a 3ml pot would prolly last me half a year to use up. LOL!

For convenience, I got this concealer wheel to create various shades of concealers depending on what I need it for. An impulse buy, I must say since I just saw this at one of the bazaars in SMX and the seller sells 'em cheaper than the Kryolan outlet in Tomas Morato.

I love that it comes in a durable plastic pan, my only beef is that, theres no specific markings on the container for easier identification of the actual shade code, The label at the bottom of the pan also rubs off easily so expect that the text would fade especially when you carry this around on your makeup kit.

Those shade texts that you see are made by me using Graphitype Dry Transfer Stickers since I was also clueless of what the actual shade codes are, I was supposed to publish this review yesterday but I had to do a little research first to be able to find the shade codes of the concealers on this wheel.

I also printed shade codes on the sides of the pan for easier identification even when the cover is off.

Here's a photo of the 25ml Dermacolor Camouflage Creme. The pot is pretty huge and I wish I just kept my 4ml pot with me so I can just refill it. The plastic they used for this one is breakable, so be careful not to drop it. Pot contains a loooooot of product. I think it would take me years before I use this up. Or prolly this would expire without me even using up even half of it. LOL!

In terms of packaging design, I like the minimalist approach, no fancy designs whatsoever. Overall, I like their packaging, except that I wish the concealer wheels have shade codes printed on the side for easier identification.

So as not to confuse everyone, Dermacolor Camouflage Creme is actually a foundie, but since it has great coverage, it can be used as a concealer as well.

When this Concealer wheel was still new, I remember it says on the back that its Dermacolor Wheel A. Assuming that its suited for people with light to fair skintones, but from the Kryolan website, this wheel is the third from the lightest.

As is, the formula may be a bit too dry or too creamy. Which would make blending a bit harder, what I do is, I scrape off a small amount of the product, slap it in the back of my hand and warm it there by swirling my finger on it. It would only take a few seconds to "melt" the product to make blending easier. Or use the faster way by running the product under a warm hair dryer. ^_^

The coverage varies, can be light to medium to full, since you can layer to give more coverage or mix with moisturizer to thin it to your desired coverage. I dont like applying a thick layer of this since no matter how long lasting or crease-free your makeup claims to be, if you put too much on, then it would really have the tendency to settle on fine lines.

Mind you, those are just light, one-layer swatches and its pretty evident that the coverage is really good. What I love about Dermacolor Camo Creme is that it doesnt feel heavy on the face when applied considering that it provides full coverage.

And unlike my old HG concealer, this doesnt oil up after a few hours. My face just stays dewy and my makeup just looks seamless. This product doesnt oxidize on me too! From the pot, D3 looks too yellow, right? But when applied, it blends to my skintone perfectly creating a clean, seamless canvas.

Dermacolor Camouflage Creme can also be used to conceal birthmarks and tattoos, but please take into consideration that you also need to have a neutralizing shade to cancel out the hues of the tattoo or birthmark first before applying a shade that matches your skintone perfectly. Before everything else, make sure that the concealer is warmed for easy blending and to prevent skin tugging. Also, use a patting motion in blending concealers rather than swiping it to avoid premature development of fine lines especially around the eye area.

For the Fullsized 25ml pot, I paid Php 3150.00 for it, the 4ml one costs Php950.

Product is definitely worth every penny.

So prolly its about time that I share something that deals with the "perks" of being a woman -- her monthly period.

It is one torture that women experience at least every month, and eversince I had my menarche (the very first menstrual flow) I have always been reminded by my Godmother (a Nutritionist) of the food to avoid and one of them are chocolates. Girls usually have mad cravings prior to having their period, Im pretty sure most of you ladies experience this too. Im not a fan of chocolates and indeed, I do get cravings for it whenever my period is coming.

With regard to this, I found an article on Livestrong that basically says everything we need to know about the direct correlation of Chocolates and Menstrual Cramps.

Overview

Menstrual cramps generally begin after your period has begun and often trigger the desire to binge on sweets in the hopes that the sugar will alleviate the pain. Cravings for chocolate are perhaps the most prevalent desire as it is widely considered to be a comfort food. But contrary to what might seem like a perfect antidote to feelings of discomfort, chocolate actually can aggravate symptoms, making the cramps much worse.

The Cause of Menstrual Cramps

Menstrual cramps are caused when the lining of the uterus releases a hormone-like substance called prostaglandin. As prostaglandin is dispensed into the system, it causes the uterus to undergo spasms or contractions, which are from increased production of the substance. It is normal to have mild to moderate cramping at the beginning of menstruation because of prostaglandin's inflammatory effect as well as its influence over the constriction and dilation of blood vessels, which also causes variations in blood pressure.

What Causes Chocolate Cravings

A craving for chocolate during the early menstrual cycle is often because of higher levels of hormones that are triggered as insulin increases. This causes low blood sugar. When blood sugar is low, the brain sends signals to the body that it needs more fuel, which is often a misguided message to eat chocolate and other types of sweets. Instead of chocolate, increasing the intake of complex carbohydrates such as whole grains will help counter fluctuating blood sugar levels, which in turn helps lessen cramps.

Chocolate's Effect on Menstrual Cramps

According to the Food and Drug Administration's Center for Drugs and Biologics, though chocolate contains a small amount of caffeine, it contains large amounts of theobromine, an alkaloid that is classified as a mild stimulant of the central nervous system. Because of this, chocolate can create a nervous condition that actually accentuates pain and discomfort.

Calcium, Not Chocolate

Chocolate is also considered an antidote to menstrual cramp pain because of its calcium content. According to Dr. Susan Link, director of the PMS Self-Help Center in Los Altos, Calif., women using calcium supplements have less cramp pain than those who do not augment their diets with the mineral. In this regard, it is best to take a calcium supplement rather than seeking calcium in chocolate. When combined with magnesium, which helps the body absorb the calcium, menstrual cramps can thus more realistically decrease without the aggravation of the stimulants found in chocolate.

Chocolate and PMS

Premenstrual syndrome, or PMS, often creates mood swings along with depression, irritability, anxiety, insomnia and other discomforts. PMS can occur up to two weeks before menstruation and is caused by hormonal fluctuations. As with menstrual cramps, chocolate cravings can become heightened during PMS, but it is best to avoid the urge to indulge as chocolate can inflame emotional symptoms because of its caffeine and theobromine content. Fighting the urge for sweets by supplementing them with whole grains along with calcium and magnesium supplements is as essential during PMS as it is throughout the course of menstruation.

Foodie Post : Potato and Cheese Croquettes

One more thing that Im passionate about is cooking, my mom's a great cook and I wanna be like her so I love experimenting about dishes that she makes.

This afternoon, I decided to make potato croquettes for Hun and Im gonna share with you ladies how I made them.

According to Wikipedia -- A croquette is a small fried food roll containing usually as main ingredients mashed potatoes, and/or minced meat (veal, beef, chicken, or turkey), shellfish, fish, vegetables, and soaked white bread, egg, onion, spices and herbs, wine, milk, beer or any of the combination thereof, sometimes with a filling, often encased in breadcrumbs. The croquette is usually shaped into a cylinder or disk, and then deep-fried. The croquette (from the French croquer, "to crunch") gained worldwide popularity, both as a delicacy and as a fast food.

I used cheese cubes as filling for my croquettes since thats what we usually order whenever we dine at Buon Giorno. These are easy to make and kids would love them too. :)

Would love to redo this recipe soon by adding herbs to give a little more kick to the flavor.

What you need

Mashed Potato Mix :

Potatoes (Boiled and Mashed) or you can use Instant Mashed Potato Mix available in supermarkets.

a little Butter/Margarine

Salt

Chopped Chives or Parsley

** Milk/Cream is optional to add creaminess to the potato mixture. Skipped this though since Im counting calories now. LOL!

Filling :

Cubed Cheese -- Any kind will do, I used Babybel Light for this one though.

Coating :

Japanese Bread Crumbs

Beaten Egg

Procedure :

Peel and mash boiled potatoes or prepare the mashed potato mix according to package directions and add butter, salt, parsley/chives (milk or cream, optional). Please ensure that the mashed potato mix is not too loose so that it would hold its shape. Adjust seasoning according to preference.

Work with clean hands and put a spoonful of the potato mixture in the palm of your hand and make a small well in the middle, place cheese cube and form into a ball.

Roll the Potato Ball into Japanese Breadcrumbs until fully coated. Roll in beaten egg mixture, and do another coating of Jap Crumbs.

Deep fry until Golden Brown.

Tartar Sauce :

Dijon Mustard

Pickle Relish

Mayo Lite

Salt

Cracked Black Pepper

Combine everything and adjust ingredients according to preference.

Since I was the one who prepared this, I honestly think it tastes better than what we get from restos. LOL!

I wish I made the chunk of cheese a little bigger though. ^_^

(oh yeah, thats my dinner plate, its pink, heart-shaped and has powerpuff prints on it LOL)

1) How can I apply for a GCASH Card?

2) How much does the card cost?
The cost of the GCASH Card will be PHP 100.
3)Can I apply for several cards under the same mobile no.?
Yes.
4) How will I receive the card I applied for?
The GCASH Card will be delivered to the address provided upon registration.
5) How can I follow-up on my application?
Upon completion of the application process, the application page screen will prompt you with your application number. Keep this as a reference of your transaction. They can send an email to Gcashcarddelivery@globetel.com.ph and will reply ASAP after 2 weeks of non receipt of the card. GXI team will reply within 24 hours.

B. CARD DESIGN/CUSTOMIZATION

1) Can I personally design my own card?
Yes by uploading your desired picture or image upon registration via portal. We will not crop or edit pictures. It will be printed on the card based on its best-fit on card.

Csr to advise customer to go to store for replacement, SLA: 2 weeks
2) How to get a new replacement card?
The customer needs to submit a photo copy of his/her valid ID and a notarized affidavit of loss to the nearest Globe Business Center. The GTBC will submit the documents to GXI and delete the previous record. The GCASH sub will be advised to apply a new card at www.globe.com.ph/gcashcard
3) Why do we need to suspend the card?
The card needs to be suspended to secure and would not be used by anyone.
4) Upon Suspension, can the GCASH sub do GCASH transaction?
Yes. All GCASH Services like P2P, Billpay. GCASH to Load, Donate etc.
5) Would the customer pay for the replacement due to the lost card?
Yes and he/she will be asked to go to the commercial website for registration.
6) After applying for a replacement, how long would be the delivery of the new card?
The card will be delivered on the specified address 2 weeks from the time of application. To follow up for the replacement they can call 2882.

E. AFTER SALES – DEFECTIVE CARD

1) What is the difference of a defective and damage card?
Defective card is defined if the card upon receipt within 5days after delivery, is not working upon withdrawing via ATM or the information or design in the card based on the registration online did not match. For damage is defined as customer initiated or regular wear and tear. With this, GXI will not be replacing this but the customer can request for a new card.
2) What does the GCASH CARD holder needs to bring in the Store?
They can go to the nearest Globe Business Center and bring the following:
- a. Photo copy of the valid ID
- b. The defective card in question
3) Would the customer pay for the replacement of the card?
No. GXI will be shouldering everything then the new card will be sent to the department head.
4) How long the replacement card will be delivered to GCASH Card customer?
They will receive the card 2 weeks latest since we need to wait for the card and documents from the business center.
5) Does the customer need to register again online for the replacement in lieu of the defective card? No need but we will be using the information including the photo that was used and uploaded online on their first application.

F.) AFTER SALES – ATM Issues

1) If the customer encountered an incorrect dispense of cash from the ATM machine what does he/she needs to do assuming it was validated that there was a debit to his/her wallet:
- a. Call the hotline number
- b. The customer needs to provide the following info:
  - i. Name of the customer
  - ii. Date of incident
  - iii. Time of incident
  - iv. Name of the bank and the exact location of the ATM where he/she tries to process a withdrawal via ATM including the amount that was attempted to be withdrawn.
2) How long the issue would will be fixed?
3 to 5 banking days and the suspected amount will be credited back to his/her wallet.
3) Would there be a notification if there was an adjustment to their wallet?
Yes. It would look like as if he/she did a CASH IN Transaction

Make sure to follow the instructions on the Online Application Form and double check the form before submitting it to prevent errors.

I applied for a Globe Gcash Card and it came in the mail yesterday via LBC (coolness!), I was expecting the delivery to take longer but I was surprised to get my card a week after I applied for it. Kudos to Globe for being really fast with this one.

Now we dont have to fall in line for ages in Globe Business Centers to withdraw cash. :)

Ive been lemming for a Light Tent since forever, Hun sneaked on my eBay account and got me the one I was watching for 2 weeks now -- I was undecided if I should get it or if we should just make one instead. LOL!

The deciding factor that he considered in getting this is Storage. It would be much easier to store this one than if we make our own lightbox which would be cheaper but would be bulky and would just add to the rest of my clutter. Haha!

FANCL Facial Washing Powder

I easily breakout when I dont cleanse my face before going to bed, so apart from collecting makeup, I also have this special thing for face cleansers, I dont stick with just 1 specific brand, so the hunt for good ones doesnt really stop even if I find something that I really like.

This product that Im gonna review today is from FANCL, and its the only brand (I think) that released a facial cleanser in powder form -- thats what got me curious to try it out.

I got this item from the gorgeous Smile (beauty blog), Im glad she cleared out her beauty drawer and decided to let go of this one, too bad I wasnt able to catch the other bottle, I really need a backup for this one, since im halfway through the bottle. :)

FANCL Facial Washing Powder comes in a handy bottle that holds 50grams of product. The bottle might look really small but it would surely last you long since you only need a small amount for each use.

The cover flips to reveal a spout thats not too small and not too big. Just the right size to dispense the product gradually.

The packaging's a winner for me since its in my favorite color -- turquoise. LOL!

And because its handy, perfect for travels too!

The bottle is not completely opaque, it has a translucent stripe on one side for you to see how much product is still left inside.

The powder's white, unscented and is very fine in texture.

It forms a creamy lather rather than a frothy one.

I love that it leaves the skin feeling clean without the squeaky feel.

Its perfect for everyday cleansing.

I dont like face cleansers that leave my skin squeaky clean and tuggy, the only time I use cleansers like such is when Im gonna put a peel off masque after since it helps the masque adhere to the skin more.

I dont like ones that leave a slippery film either, its usually a trick that makes you feel that your skin is really soft but if you have sensitive skin like mine, you might breakout from cleansers like these since it leaves a thin residue of oil which is responsible for making the skin feel soft and moist.

With FANCL Facial Washing Powder, the skin just feels clean and fresh. I just couldnt rave enough about this product. I just love it to bits.

I stay up late most of the time, so Im really prone to developing eyebags (or should i say luggages? LOL!) and it looks really ugly when my eyes look all puffy and tired from staying up late.

So today Im gonna share my take on my HG Eye Cream from SkinDoctors Cosmeceuticals, I knew about this product thru my mom, I wasnt really a fan of nightcreams and eyecreams before but since I noticed the significance of having well-rested eyes in my overall look, I decided to consider my mom's advice in following her regimen before going to bed.

The product comes in a sleek plastic pump-bottle that holds 15ml of the eye cream, I like the packaging since it looks classy and simple. Nothing too fancy.

The only issue I have with this is the size of the bottle, I find the packaging too bulky for the amount it contains, its quite surprising that a bottle this big only holds 15ml of eye cream.

Each full pump dispenses the right amount of cream that can be sufficient for both eyes already.

The cream bears a heavy consistency, close to the texture of Ponds Cold Cream, but dont let the consistency fool you, this eye cream gets absorbed by the skin really fast and it doesnt leave a greasy/oily finish. Perfect to be used prior to makeup application.

It is also unscented, no makeuppy or medicinal scent at all.

Why do I have puffy eye bags?
One of the main reasons a person suffers with under-eye bags is due to water pooling in this area.

How does Eyetuck work?

How long do I need to use Eyetuck before I see results?
In tests 95% of volunteers achieved the optimal desired result after 60 days of applying the cream twice a day.
A visible improvement should be apparent in as little as 15 days.

I use this product once a day (before bedtime) and it sure does make my eyes less puffy the next morning. I use this in tandem with my St Ives Eye Stress Gel for added relief for tired eyes.

The SkinDoctors website listed the Active Ingredients but not the full ingredients list.

Not sure if thats good or bad but I just love this product since it works in depuffing my tired eyes.

• Shea Butter Shea Butter comes from the Shea nut which is inside the fruit of the Karite (Shea) tree. It is a superior moisturiser that has been used as an anti-ageing skincare ingredient in African countries for centuries.

Thoroughly clean your face and pat dry. Apply sparingly underneath to the affected areas starting at the inside corner patting outwards.

My skin loves it, no breakouts from it and no formation of milia (whitish spots) around the eyes.

The price is pretty steep, a bottle sells for $50.00, but it does wonders so I dont really mind. Instead of paying an ample amount of money on something that wont do much good, Id rather spend moolah on products like this. :)

Sleek MakeUp Wishlist

Was browsing my blogroll today when I came across Khymm's (Shopcoholic for Makeup) post on Sleek Pout Paints, I drooled.

Sleek is a brand originating from UK (correct me if Im wrong) and the brand breaks the impression that UK cosmetics have hefty price tags. Im pretty sure though that the quality of their cosmetics is at par with popular (and expensive) brands in the market.

Ive been lemming for the blushes since it became popular in the blogsphere and I still havent found time to order some for myself, so now Im making a list of the stuff I want from Sleek, lets see if I can fulfill this wishlist soon.

First thing I want are the Pout Paints, I dont wanna splurge so much moolah on OCC Lip tars and these Pout Paints are the best alternative, I heard theyre of superb quality as well.

Since theyre relatively cheap, $8.00 each, which is around Php 350.00, I wanna get all shades. Theres just 11 anyway and the colors are customizable so its like owning gazillion lipsticks with just 11 tubes. :)

Plus I also wanna try out their blushes,

Since I cant pull off some of the shades there, Im only lemming for a few, namely, Pixie Pink, Flamingo, Scandalous, Rose Gold, Pomegranate.

Coral and Life's A Peach too, hopefully, but Im not sure if I can still get them since theyre LE.

Lastly, I want me some of the Sleek Pout Polish Pots too!

These are pretty cheap too, $6.50 each, Im not eyeing on all shades though, I just want the pinky, coral/peachy and nudy ones, to cut things short, Im prolly skipping 3 shades from this line. Haha!

I wish Sleek's locally available in the Philippines, that would be really great and Im gonna be a fan for sure. <333
