A more sustainable fashion future is the commitment that H&M adheres to for its Conscious collection that we saw was positively embraced by all.

This year, the fashion giant is continuing its efforts and has chosen French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis to be its front. The Swedish high-street brand uses sustainable materials such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, recycled polyamide and Tencel for this collection.

We saw Michelle Williams and Amanda Seyfried parading pieces from the Conscious collection last year. This year, it was Helen Hunt in a navy blue strapless ensemble who surprised fashion observers at the Oscars. Though the dress is priced very much less than a Prada or a Dior, the back was adorned with $700,000 worth of diamonds, makes up for the price huh?

Girl is on Fire Tour

Pink, May 21, Zurich. Pink along with breakthrough artists of the year 2000 has been a constant background music for me and the kids when we go blue. It would definitely be fun to see her perform now that we have somehow “aged” simultaneously. Pink has bagged 3 Grammys along with many other recognition.

Alicia Keys, June 13, Vienna. Alicia Keys rank number 4 on the list of Most Grammy Awards won by a female artist having bagged 14 to date – that’s just the Grammy’s baby, she has a long list of other awards to boast. We love that she’d be visiting Vienna in spring, booked!

Beyonce, July 1, Los Angeles. Beyonce is on top of Keys on the list of Most Grammy Awards won by a female artist with 17 gramophone trophies. And there’s a long list of other awards too that she has gathered in a short period of time. Though this concert of hers would be in LA, we still plan on seeing it and at the same time visit friends living around the state.

Bruce Springsteen, July 24, Leeds. Bruce Springsteen has won 20 Grammys, he also ranks number 6 on the list of artists with most nominations. For a career spanning 44 years, it is but proper to get tickets to see Bruce Springsteen this year. It would be a big waste to not see the Boss soon as he goes on a tour this summer – in the UK too!

Bruno Mars, October 24, Vienna. Being new to the Grammy winner’s list, Bruno’s visit to Vienna is a welcome event…although he is set to perform in autumn this year, booking is never too early.We wouldn’t want getting the tickets sold out on us! Although this is not a problem with online marketplaces reselling tickets.

Adele and  Alanis Morissette are two other artists I would love to see perform but I haven’t seen their concert schedules at the moment. Would appreciate it if you can lead me to them. ^_^

Upgrading your phone unit to the same ones as your favorite celebrity can be done as often as you please or as often as you can afford to. Amanda is one of my personal favorites. It seems like at each and every awards night she attended, she got a new look and a unique style to show off.  Last night, Amanda wore a stunning floor-length, haltered Alexander McQueen gown partnered with Roger Vivier shoes and elegant Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Though many would say the dress, in mute colors could have been better in another color, she pulled it off nicely too.

Halle Berry – Versace

Halle Berry is oozing hot at the red carpet.  Her black and silver-sequined, vertically-striped Versace dress looks so nicely fit,  it complemented her skin tone so well. The stripes emphasized her sexy hourglass figure that made her  a complete stunner. Halle completed her look with her signature messy hairstyle and black colored earrings.

Kristen Stewart - Reem Acra

Despite an injury and painful walking down the red carpet in a pair of crutches, Kristen Stewart still manages to climb up this list. The Twilight series actress beautifully wore a Reem Acra Couture design dress.  The cream colored gown is designed with flurries of tulle that goes along with intricate embellishment. She completed her red carpet outfit with one Jimmy Choo and a Bloch shoe on the other ^_^ and Fred Leighton jewels. For her bravery and will to walk the red carpet,  Kristen deserves a good spot on any list of this year’s best dressed at the Oscars.

Jessica Chastain – Armani Prive

Jessica Chastain walked down the red carpet with her boyfriend Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo. Jessica showed her elegantly made nude Armani Prive dress. It looks so fabulous and I can’t seem to find the perfect word for it. That’s how I love the dress she wore that night. The Zero Dark Thirty best actress nominee completed the outfit with Christian Louboutin heels and Harry Winston jewelry.

Amy Adams – Oscar De La Renta

Amy Adams hit the red carpet with husband Darren Le Gallo. The 38-year-old actress looked so fab with what seems a princess inspired Oscar de la Renta gown, though it would have been better in another color, IMHO. To complete the look, she just chose simple Mouawad jewelry as accessories. Gotta love her updo as well.

Renee Zellweger - Carolina Herrera

Renee Zellweger shows off her curves with a body-hugging. gold-sequined Carolina Herrera gown. If the front style and design of her gown doesn’t impress you, then check out its back… To really highlight the elegance of her outfit, she complemented it with ruby and diamond bangles by Van Cleef & Arpels designers.

Jennifer Lawrence - Dior Haute Couture

Who would forget Jennifer tripping off the stage on her way to pick up her Best Actress trophy? Well, that’s one of the event’s highlight as was her elegant Dior gown…we were just glad she didn’t went home with a crutch as Kirsten did.

Carrie wore a sexy strapless Roberto Cavalli black dress at the awards night. She turned the red carpet hot in her black laced and embroidered, curve-hugging gown. It was a totally enchanting experience to stare at her not only because of the gown, but also because of the 381-carat diamond necklace from Johnathon Arndt worth $31 million she wore. She then completed the look with loose waves hair style along with nude lip and smokey eye effect.

The country singer opted for a Roberto Cavalli dress that night. The sexy, plunging neckline black gown works for her personality very well. Miranda partnered it with a cuff bracelet, drop earrings and a shiny silver black clutch. The wavy half-up, half-down hairstyle looks so elegantly gorgeous in her. She contemplates the look with a pink lipstick and cute manicure.

Christine Teigen
Christine or Chrissy is a surprising stunner of the Grammy Awards red carpet for me. Christine chose to wear a black lace Joy Ciocci dress with exposed midriff. She took the risk of showing her belly button that night and she got fashion and style success with it. The dress slits reveals her killer legs. She completed the outfit with seafoam-hued clutch as an accessory.

Rihanna’s style and fashion at the red carpet never fails to amaze me. Ri Ri (Rihanna’s nickname) wore an Azzedine Alaia crimson gown and I can say that it really matches her identity that night. The gown shows a bit of her upper body that is really hot and oozing sexy for me. She then completed her fab and glam look with ombre curly hairstyle.

Adele
Adele’s dress is a stunner at the red carpet. Adele opted to wear a bright red (gone is her black ensemble) floral frock Valentino dress that really goes well with her skin tone. The dress is originally longer as shown at the Valentino Spring 2013 Couture Dress collection but it was made at knee-length for Adele to wear. She completed the look with an elegant updo with matching glossy lips.

Taylor Swift

White is the fashion statement of Taylor Swift at Grammy Awards night. She is a total stunner with her J.Mendel full back revealing dress. She completed the whole fashion style with Jimmy Choo shoes and jewelries by Lorraine Schwartz and Jaimin.

We’ve seen Katy Perry, Kelly Osbourne, Nicki Minaj and many other trendsetters sport pink hair but tonight Dame Helen Mirren at the 2013 BAFTA ( British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Awards tonight with the same dyed hair much to everyone’s surprise.

The veteran actress struck her best poses donning an off-white floor-length gown. She had a metallic wrap of sorts to ward of the cold and a matching clutch in silver. The frock, almost see-through (must be an effect of the rain too) can be seen with embroidered flowers seen more detailed as she spun around.

The rain didn’t stop the playful actress as she proudly show her new bob and layered gown although it get drenched on the hems. Dame Mirren was also seen with light pink nail polish to match her lips and hair. Such a playful stance.

She definitely turned heads and totally pull off the look.  Dame Mirren was nominated as best Leading Actress for her character in Hitchcock.

1. You spend a considerable time shopping and going about. Really, you can go spend time at the gym or have a fun day out with friends but you instead go about the mall buying whatever you fancy. You think that your job is like mystery shopping with yourself as the company trying to assess every shop you can get into. You made shopping a hobby.

2. You shop alone. Shopping with friends is fun and they give you a gauge at how much you should be spending or they advise you if one would be a good buy for you. If you shop alone and wouldn’t want their company, it could mean (though not always) that you do not want anyone knowing the extent of your purchase. For you, having friends around means you are not in control.

3. You use credit cards for purchase. It’s normal to use credit cards when buying something but what’s not normal is when you use credit cards because you’ve depleted your salary card for too much spending the previous month.   Searching for debt help terms and looking for other related topics could also be a sign that yes, you are shopping too much.

4. You lie about your loot. You don’t tell your other half or members of the family how much a product cost you. You would feel guilty at times so you say, “it was on sale that’s why I bought it.” Sometimes, you may even sneak your loot somewhere in your closet and pretend that it has been bought long ago…pretending you’ve forgotten about them totally.

5. You are ecstatic when you get your hands to anything with a price tag. Buying out of whim, an impulse – so to say, can give you that “high” feeling or that excitement that you have something new. (Trust me, I know that feeling too well.)

If you exhibit any of the above, it’s high-time you get help or be in control – not via retail therapy but a check on your spending habits. Know that shopping too much happen to many a teener and even older people. It’s not always on clothes, shoes and those, it could be on other items and whatever a person fancies. So know that you are not alone in this battle. There are a number of personal steps you can do to control the urge to shop and some of them include the following:

1. Do not go shopping when you’re in a bad mood. Try engaging in a sport to release those feelings of hate.

3. Buy only stuff you can return. So that you have the chance to get back the money in case you realize it isn’t really a good buy.

4. Leave your bank cards and credit cards when you go out. Yes, bring limited cash to gauge your spending.

If all else fails, you can always lock yourself in your room and read that book that has been collecting dust for the longest time now.
