We think jQuery is a very powerful tool that can create eye-catching animated effects rivalling those of Flash movies.

jQuery is great for:

Creating image slideshows
Making drop-down menus
Creating drag-and-drop interfaces
Adding power to forms
Adding animated effects to elements
Making XML (Ajax) requests

Another of jQuery's strong points is that it makes it easy to write JavaScript that works on many different browsers, such as IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
