Hair Rebonding is the technique to transform your unmanageable wavy and curly locks to a set of glossy, straight tresses having an appearance of a layer of black satin. It is the dream of all stylish women to have beautiful hair. Hair Rebonding change this dream to reality. This is the one of the most happening fashion trend followed by the girls of the present generation.

The process of hair rebonding is actually a chemical process, which is somehow similar to the process of hair straightening. The procedure goes about like this. All the hair types are attributed with a particular bond, which is natural. It can be curly, wavy or straight. In hair rebonding, the hair of curly or wavy nature is passed through some chemical exposure. Relaxants or softeners are applied on the hair to break the bond and then again by the application of a neutralizer the physical bond is restructured. Thus a wavy or a curly hair gets a straight look. The hair rebonding is to some extent a permanent process, until the hair grows longer.

The time required for a complete rebonding session depends upon the length of the hair. Hair till the shoulder takes about 4 hours and till mid back it might take 8 hours or more. The process involves washing the hair with a mild shampoo, conditioner is not used. After this the hair has to be blow dried fully. Then the entire hair is partitioned in shafts and the relaxants are applied in each shaft. The hair shafts decked with the cream softener or relaxant are kept straight by means of a thin plastic board. The relaxant is left for about ½ hour depending on the hair type. Over exposure to the softener can be harmful to the scalp and the hair. After this the hair is steamed for 10 to 40 minutes according to the type of the hair and then rinsed off. The next step is to blow dry the hair and apply the keratin lotion. Then the hair is ironed with a flat iron. A ceramic iron is better than the metal ones. It is done to remove the curls still remaining. The expert stylist will keep on ironing until the hair look straight and gleaming. After this a neutralizer is applied to rebind the hair and stabilize it. It is kept for about 30 minutes. The neutralizer is washed off with cold water and then the hair is again blow dried. A hair serum is applied to give body to the hair. Lastly the hair is again ironed to attribute it with the final touch up.

The experts in the Beauty Salon will provide some essential guidance to you post re bonding session. The hair shouldn’t be washed at least for 3 days after the rebonding. No hair accessories such as clips or rubber bands should be used for three days. It is also advisable to wear a shower cap while taking a bath, as at no cost the hair should get wet.

The rebonding should never be done by an inexperienced and inefficient stylist. Excessive use of chemical over the hair during re bonding might cause harm to the hair and can lead to breakage, thinning, drying and falling of hair. However taking proper care will just leave the hair beautiful and won’t spell any harm. The rebonding process also cost a lump sum and so keeping the beauty and the cost factor in mind one must take adequate care aftermath of the session.

The hair care schedule to be followed after rebonding is as follows,

•The hair should be oiled and steamed in every 15 days and a hot towel treatment should be followed for deep conditioning.

•Regular oiling of hair is also advisable.

•A shampoo meant for straightened hair should be used.

•A conditioner should be used after each shampoo.

•A hair serum is also a must.

•Don’t blow dry the hair often.

•Natural hair packs like aloe vera, yogurt, egg and olive oil should be used.

•Always include green vegetables, sprouts and nuts in the diet.

•Touch up the hair in every three or six months depending on the rapidity of hair growth.

This is all the essentials of hair rebonding, so be adventurous and go for the look from the magazine cover.

Remove makeup naturally

It helps to identify the specific shape and setting of your eyes and to use special eye make up techniques to bring out their beauty. The skillful application of eye makeup is an art. It's a way to express your feeling, your mood and your sense of style.

1: Wide-apart eyes :

<myimage1 align=left width=100 hieght=52>

It tends to give your face an open, youthful appearance. This look can be intensified by applying the strongest eye makeup effects near the outer corner of the eye. Keep shadow uniform and within outer corners. Brush lashes straight up.
Eye Make Up:
To make the eyes appear closer together,
Use more intense eye shadow colours near the inner corner of the eyes.
Line eyes completely – top and bottom – from inner to outer corners.
Apply a medium-toned shadow to lids and creases, concentrating the colour on the inner corners.
Use mascara generously, on both upper and lower lashes.

2: Close-set eyes :

<myimage2 align=left width=100 hieght=53>

This eye have a dramatic, sultry look. It can be enhanced by concentrating colour near the eye's inner corners. Extend smoky shadow beyond outer corners to exaggerate them. Brush lashes out.
Eye Make Up:
To make the eyes seem farther apart,
Apply the most intense colour near the outer corners of the eyes.
Line top and bottom of eyes in any colour, but begin drawing a quarter of the way out from the inner eye.
Smudge lines.
Dust a highlighter (or light-coloured eyeshadow) just below the outer corners of lower lashes to call attention to the outsides of eyes.
Brush mascara on to upper and lower lashes.

3: Evenly spaced eyes :
These are about an eye's distance apart. They can be made to look special with many eye makeup looks.

4: Almond eyes :

<myimage3 align=left width=120 hieght=72>

These are the most common eye shape with their upswept lift at the outer corner. These eyes calls for creativity. These eyes can be made to look deeper and more intense.

5: Small eyes :

<myimage4 align=left width=95 hieght=63>

They are proportionately smaller in comparison to the rest of the facial features. To enhance small eyes line upper and lower (never inside). Use pale, shimmery, eye shadow. Curl lashes.
Eye Make Up:
To enlarge small eyes
Apply a medium-toned shadow (such as soft grey or blue) to the crease.
Use a soft-coloured liner (try taupe) on the top and bottom lash lines, extending the top line across the entire lash line and the bottom line from just under the iris to the outer corner.
Sweep black mascara on upper lashes.
Apply light shadow on the eyelids.
Apply more intense shades in the creases.
Add lift to the outer corners.

6: Prominent eyes :
These eyes which set far forward in the face tend to dominate the facial features. The eyelids are too pronounced. Medium to deep shades of shadow on the lids help to minimize their appearance. Liners applied to the lash bases from corner to corner gives prominent eyes a smoldering and mysterious look.

7: Hooded eyes :

<myimage5 align=left width=95 hieght=57>

These eyes are set so the natural crease in the eyelid is not readily seen. Highlighting the brow bone and lining the lash base gives hooded eyes an alluring shape.
Eye Make Up:
To enhance hooded eyes
Apply a medium to dark shadow on the crease and hooded area.
Sweep a lighter shadow on the brow bone and on the inside corner of the eye.
Draw a very thin line along the top lash line (to keep the eye looking open) and smudge
with a cotton swab.
Apply black mascara to upper lashes.
Line upper lash-line only. Gradually soften shadow as you approach the brow.

8: Deep-set eyes :

<myimage1 align=left width= hieght>
This seem to recede, need to be brought forward. The eyelid crease is set back so the area from the base of lashes to brow bone seems hidden. To enhance the deep-set eyes line upper and lower lids (never just upper). Choose light shadows -pale pink, peach or beige- of eye shadow. More intense shading on the brow bone also gives the eyes prominence.

Oriental eyes :
These eyes have a distinctive lift at the corner and have very little lid. The depth of the eyes can increase by deep shades of eye shadow and the dimension can be increased by applying eyeliner as close as possible to the lash base.

To Enhance Bulging eyes :
Draw a fairly thick line all the way across the top lash line with a brown or black pencil.
Apply a medium to dark shadow on the lid and in the crease. (As on the body, dark colour makes the features recede.)
Finish with a coat of black mascara on both upper and lower lashes.

Olive Oil- Beauty Benefits

Put thin slices of raw potato over dark circles at least twice or thrice a day, every day.
Remedy 3: Grate raw potatoes, add few drops of water, wrap it in a clean cloth and spread it over your eyelids.
Remedy 4: Mix ground almonds and milk and apply under the eyes.
Remedy 5: Crush parijat flowers (night jasmine) (see pic), mix with curds and apply this pack under your eyes for 10 minutes. Then wash off with cold water.
Remedy 6: You may also try applying orange juice and glycerine around the eyes.
Remedy 7: Mix equal parts of tomato juice and lemon juice and apply.
Remedy 8: You can also apply mint (pudina) juice around your undereye area for treating your dark circles.
Remedy 9: Grated cucumber placed over your eyelids and around your eyes helps. You can also dab cotton pods in the cucumber juice and place it over your eyelids. This would work too.
Remedy 10: Mix equal quantities of cornflour and yoghurt and apply.
Remedy 11: Mix a tsp of castor oil with 1 tsp of milk cream (malai) and massage it around the eyes.
Remedy 12: Make a paste of rose petals with milk and apply this paste around the eyes.
Remedy 13: Use this home made under eye cream for your dark circles. Works like a charm.
Remedy 14: Break a soft gel vitamin E capsule, and apply a little oil to your undereye rings. I like to dab some pearl powder onto my skin, then gently rub in the oil. Makes my eyes look brighter.

Some other tips.

Tip 1: Drink sufficient water. Also include buttermilk and yogurt in your diet.
Tip 2: Include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetable, especially colored ones like carrot, papaya, mango, green vegetables like spinach, curry leaves, sprouts in your diet.
Tip 3: Wash your feet well and massage castor oil over the soles of the feet. This will also stimulate the pressure points of your eyes located on the soles of your feet.

Tip 4: NIGHT EYE TREATMENT
MILK CREAM
LEMON

BOIL 1/2 CUP MILK TO PRODUCE MILK CREAM
MIX 5 DROPS LEMON JUICE
AND
MILK & GRAM FLOUR - MAKE PASTE and lightly massage.

Oilve Oil Beauty Tips

Then run your hands throughout your hair, paying special attention to the ends. This can be used on dry and damp hair. Be sure to use only a little bit or else your hair will appear oily rather than shiny.

3: Olive Oil Bath:
Light some candles and relax in a bath with olive oil to get spa-worthy results.

Why it works: All the nourishing properties in olive oil work well to make your skin softer than you could ever imagine.

Do it at home:
Add several tablespoons of olive oil to your bath to soothe and nourish your skin. Here are some of our favorites:
Lavender oil: This fragrance has a calming and relaxing effect that is a great way to de-stress.

Rose oil: This fragrance wakes up the mind and creates a feeling of well-being. This is a great way to start off your mornings.

Ylang Ylang: This soft, floral scent is more popular among the men and brings about a sense of relaxation. This is the best way to unwind after a long day.

4: Soft Lips:
To soothe and smoothe dry and chapped lips, dab on a little olive oil.

Why it works: The vitamins A and E found in olive oil nourish chapped lips making them soft and kissable once again.

Do it at home: Dip your finger in olive oil and apply to your lips as you would lip-gloss. This is something you should do every night and every morning.

5: Shave With Olive Oil:
Apply olive oil to your skin before shaving for better results! Men won’t even need to use an after-shave since olive oil leaves the skin moisturized.

Why it works: Olive oil is a natural lubricant, which makes it perfect for a razor to slide across. Using olive oil daily will also keep your skin looking young because of the antioxidants.

Do it at home:
Rub a few drops of olive oil into the skin of the area that you are about to shave and then shave with your razor as you would normally.

6: Skin Protection With Olive Oil:
Olive oil can help skin both before and after sun exposure.

Why it works: Olive oil is rich in vitamins A and E which will protect skin from drying out in the heat. Olive oil doesn’t protect against skin damage caused by the sun’s UV rays, but it does go to work repairing damaged skin and protecting against skin cancer.
WARNING: This does not make it safe to go outside and tan. It is always important to wear a sun block with UVA and UVB protection.

Do it at home:
Before hitting the sun:
Apply a layer of olive oil followed by a layer of sunscreen.

For sunburn care: Apply a mixture of 2 teaspoons olive oil and 2 teaspoon vinegar. Leave for 1/2 an hour and then take a warm bath.
Use this mixture over night for a moisturizing facial mask.

Why it works: The components of this mix promote a smooth, radiant complexion that helps to maintain your skin’s elasticity.

Do it at home:
Combine olive oil, honey, and an egg yolk. Beat until well blended and apply to face. Leave on for 15 minutes and then rinse with warm water.

7: Hair Conditioning:
Adding olive oil to your hair as a conditioning treatment helps repair split ends, heals dandruff, and gives you Rapunzel-worthy locks.

Why it works: The nourishing properties found in olive oil moisturize and heal stressed out hair.

Do it at home:
To nourish and thicken your locks:
Warm one cup (depending on length of your hair) of olive oil in the microwave until lukewarm, then pour onto wet hair. Massage into the scalp and comb it from your roots to the ends. Wrap at towel around your hair for 20 minutes. Then rinse, shampoo and condition to lock in moisture.

To help over-processed hair:
Add one beaten egg to ½ cup of olive oil. Mix and then add to damp hair. Cover your entire head, from roots to the ends. Wrap a towel around your hair for 30-45 minutes. Then rinse, shampoo and condition to lock in moisture.

8: Soft Skin:
A daily application of olive oil is the best way to achieve soft and dewy skin.
You can use olive oil with sugar as a weekly exfoliate and with an essential oil as a daily moisturizer that also works as an anti-aging product,

Why it works: Olive oil has polyphenol hydroxytyrosol which is an antioxidant that helps hold skin cell walls intact- which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and protects the skin from drying out.
An exfoliate helps keep skin healthy by removing dead skin cells and improves blood circulation.

Do it at home:
As a moisturizer: Apply a think layer of olive oil after pat-drying yourself from the shower. To add a pleasant smell use a few drops of an essential oil. We love to use lavender oil because it also helps us fall asleep.

Pay special attention to dry areas like elbows, knees and feet.

As an Exfoliate: Take a clean jar and fill it to the top with sugar and then add the olive oil until full. You can add an essential oil like rose oil to add a pleasant smell. In the shower apply your concoction in circular movements all over and then rinse

Remedies For Dark Eye Circles

Olive oil is one of the oldest beauty secrets that Mediterranean women used to achieve a healthy and dewy complexion, lustrous hair and a golden tan.

Today, most beauty experts agree that olive oil can replace any oil-based beauty product to achieve the same results.

Not only will these beauty secrets save you money, they are also a eco-friendly alternative to chemical-based beauty products.

Make sure the olive oil you are using is organic and cold pressed so that you can benefit in all of the nutrients olive oil has to offer. Pure and Light olive oil has been chemically processed, avoid it.

Remove even stubborn, waterproof makeup with olive oil.

Why it works: Most makeup removers are oil based, which is why pure oil works so efficiently.

Do it at home:

Use a cotton ball soaked in oil to remove makeup. Afterwards rinse with water or with a mild cleanser.

Using a very small amount of olive oil can take care of frizz and add a lustrous shine to your locks.

Why it works: The oil moisturizes and conditions hair while acting as a barrier to seal in moisture.

Do it at home:

Take a small amount of olive oil and rub it in your palms. Then run your hands throughout your hair, paying special attention to the ends. This can be used on dry and damp hair. Be sure to use only a little bit or else your hair will appear oily rather than shiny.

Add a few drops of essential oil for a natural aromatherapy bath.

The scent that you choose can have an effect on your mood.

Oily Skin Care

And while you can't change your skin type, you can take steps to control the problem while keeping that healthy glow.

Oily Skin Care Tips
Follow these simple steps and you’ll do your oily skin a huge favor.

1: Don’t overwash. This isn’t a hygiene issue, so washing more often won’t help. When you do wash or bathe, use lukewarm (not hot) water and a cleanser specially formulated for oily skin. Look for gentle products that contain glycerin or salicylic acid, which can help keep pores clear. Avoid cleansing “milks,” which contain lipids that can make skin feel greasier.

2: Consider retinoids. Talk to your dermatologist about medications that decrease oil production; retinoids come in both over-the-counter and prescription-strength versions.

3: Dry before you apply. Let skin dry completely before applying any topical medications or moisturizers so you don’t clog those pores.

4: Go oil-free. The last thing your skin needs is extra oil, so opt for oil-free skin-care products and cosmetics. And while you’re at it, make sure all products are fragrance-free and nonirritating too.

5: Moisturize wisely. If your skin needs a moisture boost, go with a light, oil-free product and apply sparingly.
Wear sunscreen. Look for an oil-free, broad-spectrum block with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 15 or higher. And wear it every day, year-round!

6: Soak it up. One easy way to absorb oil without having to wash your face and reapply your makeup is to use blotting sheets. Stash a pack in your purse or desk to soak up “puddles” throughout the day.

7: A final word: If your oily skin is also accompanied by breakouts or a more serious acne problem, talk to your dermatologist about acne treatments and a skin care regimen you can follow while caring for your oily skin.

Natural Skincare

1: Half an hour before taking your bath apply on your face half teaspoon each of lime and cucumber juice mixed together.

2: If your skin is excessively oily, mix in a few drops of eau de cologne. This not only helps keep oiliness away but also helps in refining the pores of the skin by acting as astringent, thereby preventing acne.

3: To clear away excess oil, use a clay or mud mask. Blend together well 1 teaspoon green clay powder and 1 teaspoon raw honey. Apply the mixture to your face, avoiding the eye area. Leave it on for fifteen minutes, then rinse well with lukewarm water. Do this at least three times a week--or more.

4: To prevent the problem of your makeup becoming patchy either on the forehead, chin or nose due to excessive oiliness in these areas, apply a little cucumber juice on the excessively oily parts of your face, dry thoroughly and then apply your makeup.

5: If your whole face turns patchy after makeup is applied on it, then apply equal parts of lime juice and witch-hazel. Dry well before putting on your makeup.

6: Choose an astringent that contains acetone, which is known for dissolving oil. Strong astringents will do more harm than good, stimulating an overproduction of oil.

Diet for Oily Skin

1: Have your blood brought up to par by the suitable administration of necessary vitamins, iron and similar substances.

2: Even a slight deficiency in vitamin B2 can cause oily skin. Nutritional yeast, wheat germ and organ meats provide both vitamin B5 and vitamin B2. Other good sources of vitamin B2 are whole grains, beans, nuts, and royal jelly. Buckwheat, black beans and whole rice are excellent to supply the body with iron and rejuvenate pate skin.

3: Take a diet rich in proteins but restricted in sugar, fluids and salt.

4: Take plenty of leafy green vegetables and fresh fruits.

5: Drink plenty of quality water to keep the skin hydrated and flush out toxins.

6: Reduce the amount of fat in your diet. Avoid pork and fried and highly seasoned foods. Consume no animal fats, or heat-processed vegetable oils.

7: Do not cook with oil. Do not eat any oils that have been subjected to heat, whether in processing or cooking. If a little oil is necessary, such as in salad dressing, use cold-pressed canola or olive oil only.

8: Do not drink soft drinks or alcoholic beverages. Avoid sugar, chocolate, and junk food.

Herbals for Oily Skin

1: Burdock root, chamomile, horsetail, oat straw, and thyme nourish the skin.

2: Lavender is very good for oily skin. Mist your skin with lavender water several times daily.

3: Witch hazel applied to the skin is excellent for absorbing oil.

4: A facial sauna using lemongrass, licorice root, and rosebuds is good for oily skin. Two or three times a week, simmer a total of 2 to 4 tablespoons of dried or fresh herbs in 2 quarts of water. When the pot is steaming, place it on top of a trivet or thick potholder on a table, and sit with your face at a comfortable distance over the steam for fifteen minutes. You can use a towel to trap the steam if you wish. After fifteen minutes, splash your face with cold water and allow your skin to air dry or pat it dry with a towel. After the sauna, you can allow the herbal water to cool and save it for use as a toning lotion to be dabbed on your face with a cot- ton ball after cleansing.

5: Take Mercurius for an oily skin that smells unpleasant, with trembling, sticky perspiration and overproduction of saliva. Oiliness is worse in cold and hot weather.

6: Natrum mur is useful for a person with an oily, shiny face that is worse on hairy parts, and who is constipated.

7: Rub oily skin areas with apple cider vinegar for a neutralizing effect.

8: Regularly brushing and massage of the whole body stimulates circulation and rejuvenates the skin.

9: Get sufficient sleep as the skin's cellular repair activity is at its optimum during this resting phase.

10: Exercise benefits skin as it boosts circulation and encourages blood flow. Regular exercise will nourish and cleanse your skin from within.

Hair Extension Pictures

Hair extensions have become very popular in the last decade with many celebrities taking advantage of the instant volume and length. However, this is an expensive process and there are a few things to watch out for.

Hair extensions are lengths of either real or synthetic hair that can be affixed close to the scalp through a number of ways such as braids, weaves, bonding, metal tubing, heat shrink tubing & adhesive based bonding. When done correctly, hair extensions are not noticeable…no one can tell if you’re wearing them. They can provide volume, extend hair, and add highlights or lowlights without the harshness of coloring your own hair. Some extensions can be worn continuously for up to 3 months before requiring maintenance.

Hair extensions come in many colors, textures, styles and lengths to match any hair type. Natural or human hair extensions are more expensive than synthetic hair because they can be colored, set, curled or treated. Synthetic hair will melt if exposed to the high temperatures of a curling iron or a hot blow dryer; it is used as purchased, and is generally not recommended. Synthetic extenders are available widely at department stores. Human hair extensions are generally purchased through salons that provide extensionist services.

Several factors have to be considered before deciding to have a hair extension. First to consider is the budget. A minimum of $2,000 should be set aside initially that depends on the type/method of hair extensions. It’s always best to get the opinions of at least 2-3 professionals on what type of hair extension process is appropriate for your kind of hairstyle & requirements before finally deciding especially because it involves investment of time & money. For the meantime, before you decide to get a hair extension, take a look at these pictures and see how hair extensions can totally change one’s look.
http://pinksbeauty.blogspot.com/search/label/Hair%20Extension%20Pictures

Hair Extension Methods

Hair Extensions Methods:
Hair extensions are a beautiful way to compliment your hair and give yourself a new hair style all in one. There are many different methods used for attaching a hair extension according to the person doing your hair. These are the braid weave, the tree braids, individuals, latch hooks, and the pole method just to name a few. It would be best to talk with your beautician before deciding on which method is best for you. Some hair may not be strong enough for all methods.

Now, let’s look at these different methods for hair extension:

1. Weave for Hair Extension
With a weave the person creating your hairstyle will make tracks on your head and sew on the hair extensions. This is the most popular way to add hair extensions.

2.Braiding for Hair Extension
With this process the hair extension is braided with your own hair using a variety of braids such as tree braid, braid weave, individuals, cornrow, and French braid. Each hair stylist will have their own unique braid that they prefer to use.

3. Ring for Hair Extension
With process there is already a metal ring attached to the hair where the hair extension can be easily applied and can be used over again. There are His and Her Rings for this process

4.Tube for Hair Extension
This is a new method that is catching on fast. It is similar to the Ring where there is already a plastic tube attached to the hair where the hair extension can be easily applied. You can use the His and Her Extension Iron to apply.

5. I-Tip for Hair Extension
This is a method where there is already an “I” shaped glue attached to the end of the hair and using a His and Her Extension Iron or ring to attach the hair extension. With the Ring you do not have to use heat to apply.

6. U-Tip for Hair Extension
This is a method where there is already a “U” shaped glue attached to the end of the hair and using a His and Her Extension Iron ring to attach the hair extension.

7. Hot Glue Gun Method for Hair Extension
With this method a glue gun and melted acrylic glue is used to glue the hair extension directly to your own hair.

8. Bonding for Hair Extension
With this method a bonding glue is placed on the extension and then is applied to the root of your hair. This is one of the easiest ways to apply a hair extension and the also the easiest to remove. To remove you only need to use the glue remover that accompanies the glue.

9. Clip Ons for Hair Extension
With this method the extension hair is already cut and the clips are added to the weft. All you need to clip it to your natural hair and off you go.

Hair Extension Side Effects

Not only they have stated this, also hair stylists of all nationalities who admitted that many of their clients complained that they started to bald after using hair extensions. Extensions make you hair look longer and richer but they also provoke balding.
What is more serious is that some women age 20 remained without hair on some head parts. This happens when extensions are worn for a long time, and the scalp is subjected to huge pressure. This was noticed to full level VIP’s such as Naomi Campbell or Victoria Beckham who have been using for a long time this beauty technique. Moreover, Jennifer Aniston encourages all women to give up using hair extension as nothing destroys hair badly than this.
Extensions are made of artificial and natural hair and can be used by sticking them directly on the scalp or on your natural hair by over heating.
Most important specialist’s advice is: extensions shouldn’t be pasted too hard; also, it shouldn’t be too long or it shouldn’t be worn for a long time.
If you notice you started balding you should remove hair extensions as soon as possible and permit your natural hair to regenerate, which is possible even in extreme situations.

Defeat wrinkles with simple beauty tips!

In combination skin it's difficult to decide that what is more problematic, whether the oil in your skin or the dryness. So, to control both the problems at one time is like a challenge.

Combination skin is made up of two types. The 'T' area, which includes forehead, nose, partly cheeks closer to the nose and chin are oily areas whereas other are either dry or normal. Your very first step should be deciding that what actually causes more skin problems to you, oil or dryness. If your skin is shining in the T-zone but looks tight and scaly around your eyes and cheeks, it means that you have to tackle dryness problem. On the other hand, if your cheek and eye areas feel slightly tight but your T-zone is covered with oil and blemishes your combination situation is oily.

Being the tricky and complicated skin type, it needs your extra effort to look after it. Individuals with the combination skin type always encounter two conflicts at one time. First to reduce oil from the oily areas while the other to replace moisture and kill the dryness. In short it requires a skin care for two absolutely different skins.

Here are some of the remedies for those who got combination skin type:

Try to develop the habit of cleansing on daily basis, probably with some good quality milky moisture or moisturizing lotion. Then cleans your face with a cotton wool soaked into the rose water. Clean the whole face through this procedure and take the dirt off and make the skin clean and fresh. Immediately after it, if you will again clean your face with the cotton wool and few drops of lemon or fruit vinegar on it. You can easily clean the T area to take off all the extra oils.
Other then this you can apply some homemade masks. LikePut cucumber (peeled) into a blender and make a fine paste, add egg-white to the half of the paste for the oily area and one teaspoon yoghurt with a few drops of apricot oil to the rest of the half portion of paste, for the other part of the face.

Apply these masks once or twice in a week for 15/20 minutes. Here are eight simple steps to making up your eyes for evening.

1. Prep your eyes with concealer. Concealer can be used to cover up under eye circles or just the bluish discoloration just under your inner eye. To cover dark under eye circles, apply three dots of concealer under each eye. Start at the inner corner where skin tends to be darkest, then under the pupil and the third on the outer edge.

2. Apply eye base to your lid Eye base is the secret to keeping your shadow in place for hours. Without properly priming your lid first, your eye shadow will likely end up a greasy line in your crease.

3. Apply shadow. It's great to use a three-toned shadow and build from lids to brow. Allowing them to merge into each other like a rainbow is graceful. Start with a light color that almost matches your lid. brush the color across the lid and up to your browbone. Follow with a medium color across your lid only. Build on this with a darker color in the crease. Blend the colors well.

4. Follow with eyeliner Dark eyeshadows work great as eyeliners. Wet a slanted brush, and then dip in a dark eyeshadow. Line eyes as close to the upper lashes as possible from the inner corner to the outer corner. Follow with liner on bottom eyes, but only line from the middle of the eye out. Smudge the bottom line with a Q-tip or your finger. You don't want a prominent line. For a smokey eye, use a brush to pat in a dark eyeshadow along the upper lid and below the lid. You don't want a stark line, instead you want to blend it so it's 'smudge-y.'

5. Brighten your eyes with a highlighter. This step involves only the inside part of the eye. With a gold or pink highlighter (white is too bright), draw a v-shaped shape that follows the inner corner of your eye from top to bottom. Blend with your fingers. This will help make eyes 'pop.'

6. Highlight your brow Take the same highlighter and dab it on your browbone, concentrating on your mid-brow outward. Blend with your finger.

7. Curl lashes An eyelash curler will make even long lashes look more gorgeous. For added effect, you can heat the curler under a blowdryer for a couple seconds. Test curler before applying to lashes because you could burn yourself.

8. Apply mascara Place the wand of your mascara brush at the bottom of lashes and wiggle back and forth. Follow with another few sweeps of the wand. Apply to bottom lashes as well.

Sun Burn Home Treatment

Wrinkles In-Depth Report
Background
As you age, your skin undergoes progressive changes:
-The cells divide more slowly, and the inner layer of skin (the dermis) starts to thin. Fat cells beneath the dermis begin to shrink. In addition, the ability of the skin to repair itself decreases with age, so wounds heal more slowly. The thinning skin becomes vulnerable to injuries and damage.
-The deeper layer of the skin, which provides scaffolding for the surface skin layers, loosens and unravels. Skin then loses its elasticity (ability to stretch). When pressed, it no longer springs back into position. Instead, older skin sags and forms furrows.
-The oil-secreting glands atrophy (shrink), leaving the skin without a protective layer of fat. The skin's ability to stay moisturized then decreases, and it becomes dry and scaly.
-Frown lines (between the eyebrows) and crow's feet (lines that spread from the corners of the eyes) appear to develop because of permanent small muscle contractions. Habitual facial expressions also form characteristic lines.
-Gravity makes the situation worse, contributing to the formation of jowls and drooping eyelids. -Eyebrows, surprisingly, move up as a person ages, possibly pulled up by forehead wrinkles.
-Wrinkles can have a profound impact on self-esteem. The stigma attached to looking old is evidenced by the more than $12 billion Americans spend each year on cosmetic procedures to hide the signs of aging. Our society places a premium on youthfulness, and age discrimination in the workplace, although illegal, has stalled many people's careers. The emotional consequences of aging explain in large part why the cosmetics industry and plastic surgeons thrive.

Ultraviolet Radiation, Sunlight, and Photoaging
The sun is the most important cause of prematurely aging skin (a process called photoaging) and skin cancers. Overall, exposure to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight (radiation referred to as UVA or UVB) accounts for about 90% of the symptoms of premature skin aging.

-Most of these effects occur by age 20:
-Even small amounts of UV radiation trigger the processes leading to skin wrinkles.
-Long-term repetitive exposure to sunlight adds up, and likely is responsible for the vast majority of unwanted consequences of aging skin, including basal cell and squamous cell cancers.
-Intense exposure to sunlight in early life is an important cause of melanoma, a particularly aggressive type of skin cancer.
-Initial Damaging Effects of Sunlight. Ultraviolet radiation penetrates the layers of the skin. Both UVA and UVB rays cause damage that leads to wrinkles, lower immunity against infection, aging skin disorders, and cancer. Each of these rays appears to damage cells in different ways.
-UVB is the main cause of sunburns, and it primarily affects the outer skin layers. UVB is most intense at midday when sunlight is brightest. People receive slightly over 70% of their yearly UVB dose during the summer. They receive only 28% during the remainder of the year. Window glass filters out UVB.
-UVA penetrates more deeply and efficiently. The intensity of UVA rays is less dependent on the time of day and season of the year than that of UVB rays. For example, you receive only about half of your yearly UVA dose during the summer months, with the balance spread over the rest of the year. Window glass does NOT filter out UVA.
-Both UVA and UVB rays cause damage to the body, including genetic injury, wrinkles, aging skin disorders, and skin cancers. Exactly how they cause this damage is not yet fully understood.
-Processes Leading to Wrinkles.

Even small amounts of UV radiation trigger the processes that can cause wrinkles:
-Sunlight damages collagen fibers (the major protein that gives structure to the skin). Sunlight also damages elastin, a protein in the skin that normally maintains the springiness and strength of tissue beneath the skin.
-In response to this sun-induced elastin damage, the body produces large amounts of enzymes called metalloproteinases .
-Some of the these enzymes degrade (break down) collagen. The result is an uneven formation ( matrix ) of disorganized collagen fibers called solar scars . Repetition of this abnormal skin rebuilding causes wrinkles.
-An important event in this process is the over-production of oxidants , also called free radicals. -Excessive amounts of oxidants damage the body's cells and even alter their genetic material. Oxidation may contribute to wrinkling by activating the specific metalloproteinases that degrade connective tissue.
Other Factors Responsible for Wrinkles
In addition to sunlight, other factors may hasten the formation of wrinkles:
Cigarette Smoke . Smoking produces oxygen-free radicals, which accelerate wrinkles and aging skin disorders, and increase the risk for non-melanoma skin cancers. Studies also suggest that smoking and subsequent oxidation produce higher levels of metalloproteinases, the enzymes associated with wrinkles.
Air Pollution. Ozone, a common air pollutant, may be a particular problem for the skin, and deplete an important antioxident, Vitamin E.

Blemishes

This report covers three types of blemishes:

Liver spots,

purpura,

and seborrheic keratoses.
-Liver Spots
"Liver spots" (known as lentigos, or sun-induced or pigmented lesions) are flat brown spots on the skin. Despite the common name, these blemishes have nothing to do with the liver. Instead, they are almost universal signs of aging. Occurring most noticeably on the hands and face, these blemishes tend to enlarge and darken over time. The extent and severity of the spots are determined by a combination of skin type, sun exposure, and age. These spots are harmless, but they should be distinguished from lentigo maligna, which is an early sign of melanoma.
Liver spots or age spots are a type of skin change associated with aging. The increased pigmentation may be brought on by exposure to sun or other forms of ultraviolet light, or other unknown causes.
Treating Liver Spots.

Liver spots do not require treatment, although some people are distressed by their appearance. Treatments may include the following:
Trichloroacetic acid (a chemical peel).
Tretinoin (Retin A) alone, or in combination with Mequinol (Solag). Tretinoin is related to vitamin A, and is also effective in treating wrinkles.
Gentle freezing with liquid nitrogen (cryotherapy).
Laser treatment. Specific lasers, such as the Nd:YAG, are effective in eliminating 80% of liver spots in one treatment. Laser treatment may be more effective than cryotherapy and may have fewer side effects.
Bleaching creams are commonly available but are not as satisfactory as peels, and high concentrations can sometimes cause permanent loss of skin color.
-Purpura
Purpura occurs when tiny capillaries (blood vessels) break and leak blood into the skin. In older people, the condition (called senile or actinic purpura) is usually caused by fragile blood vessels. The capillaries appear as flat purplish patches. These patches are called petechiae when they are smaller than 3 mm (about a tenth of an inch). When they are greater than 3 mm, they are referred to as ecchymoses. Patients typically have a rash, which may appear reddish at first but gradually changes color, turning brown or purple.

Treatment.
Although there is no specific treatment for purpura, patients are advised to avoid trauma, including vigorous rubbing of the skin, which may damage the capillaries. Emollients that soften the skin may be helpful. Some doctors also recommend vitamin C, but its effectiveness is unproven.

Seborrheic Keratoses
Seborrheic keratoses are among the most common skin disorders in older adults. Their cause or causes are unknown. They usually appear on the head, neck, or trunk and can range in size from 0.2 - 3 cm (a little over an inch). They are well defined and appear to be pasted onto the skin, but their appearance can vary widely:
-They can be smooth with tiny, round, pearl-like formations embedded in them.
-They can be rough and warty.
-They can be brown or black.
Seborrheic keratoses sometimes look like melanoma, because they can have an irregular border, but they are always benign. A dermatologist can tell the difference between them, although experts warn that melanomas may "hide" among these benign lesions and go unnoticed without close inspection. In general, seborrheic keratoses have a uniform appearance, whereas melanomas often have a smooth surface that varies in height, color density, and shading. In some cases, keratoses may cause itching or irritation. They can be easily removed with surgery or freezing. Vitamin D3 ointment is also showing promise in clinical trials.

Risk Factors
Exposure to Sun in Childhood.
It is estimated that 50 - 80% of skin damage occurs in childhood and adolescence from intermittent, intense sun exposure that causes severe sunburns. In spite of this now well-known effect, many people still believe that a tan is a sign of good health in children. Even though many parents are concerned about sun exposure, they still rely too much on sunscreen and not enough on protective clothing.

The Elderly.
Most people over 70 have at least one skin disorder, and many have three or four skin disorders. Everyone experiences skin changes as they age, but a long life is not the sole determinant of aging skin. Family history, genetics, and behavioral choices all have a profound impact on the onset of aging-skin symptoms.

Activities Leading to Overexposure to Sunlight and Ultraviolet Radiation
Of all the risk factors for aging skin, exposure to UV radiation from sunlight is by far the most serious. The vast majority of undesirable consequences of aging skin occur in individuals who are repetitively exposed to the sun, including the following:
-Outdoor workers, such as farmers, fishermen, construction workers, and lifeguards
-Outdoor enthusiasts
-Sunbathers
-People who regularly attend tanning salons or use tanning beds

Skin Types
Experts have devised a classification system for skin phototypes (SPTs) based on the sensitivity to sunlight.
It ranges from SPT I (lightest skin plus other factors) to IV (darkest skin). People with skin types I and II are at highest risk for photoaging skin diseases, including cancer. It should be noted, however, that premature aging from sunlight can affect people of all skin shades.
Tanning and Burning History
I --Always burns, never tans, sensitive to sun exposure
II --Burns easily, tans minimally
III --Burns moderately, tans gradually to light brown
IV --Burns minimally, always tans well to moderately brown
V --Rarely burns, tans profusely to dark
VI --Never burns, deeply pigmented, least sensitive

Gender
The common belief is that women are at greater risk for wrinkles than men. Some evidence suggests, however, that given the same risk factors, men and women in the same age groups have comparable risks for skin photoaging. Some studies report that men are more likely than women to develop non-melanoma skin cancers.

Smokers
The skin of smokers in areas of their bodies not exposed to sunlight also seems to age more rapidly compared to nonsmokers in the same age group. In fact, heavy smokers in their 40s often have facial wrinkles more like those of nonsmokers in their 60s.
Studies of identical twins have found smokers to have thinner skin (in some cases by as much as 40%), more severe wrinkles, and more gray hair than their nonsmoking twins. Cigarette smokers are also more prone to skin cancers, including squamous cell carcinoma and giant basal cell carcinoma. Research has found that women who smoke have much lower levels of vitamin E secretions in their skin. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that may help protect the skin from sun damage.

Prevention
The best long-term prevention for overly wrinkled skin is a healthy lifestyle.

Eat Healthy.
A diet with plenty of whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and healthy oils (such as olive oil) may protect against oxidative stress in the skin. Benefits from these foods may be due to high levels of antioxidants found in them.

Exercise.
Daily exercise keeps blood flowing, which brings oxygen to the skin. Oxygen is an important ingredient for healthy skin.

Avoid tobacco smoke.
Smoking not only increases wrinkles, but a smoker's risk for squamous cell cancers is 50% higher than that of a nonsmoker. Smokers should quit to prevent many health problems, not just unhealthy skin. Secondhand smoke is also dangerous.

Daily Preventive Skin Care
The following are some daily measures for skin protection:

-Don't wash your face too often with tap water. (Once a day is enough.) It strips the skin of oil and moisture. Chlorinated water, particularly at high temperatures, poses special risks for wrinkles.

-Wash your face with a mild soap that contains moisturizers. Avoid alkaline soaps, especially with deodorant.

-Pat the skin dry and immediately apply a water-based moisturizer.

-Always apply sunscreen, even if going outdoors for short periods of time. Research has shown that applying a cream containing a UVA and UVB protective sunscreen every day helps prevent sun-related skin damage.

-Avoid drinking alcohol within 3 hours of bedtime. Alcohol increases the risk for leaks in the capillaries, which allows more water in and causes sagging and puffiness. Capillary leakage increases when you lie down.

-Lie on your back when sleeping. This helps offset the effects of gravity.

-Avoid Sun Exposure
One of the most important ways to prevent skin damage is to avoid excessive sun exposure.
The following are some specific guidelines:

-Use sunscreens that block out both UVA and UVB radiation. However, do not rely only on sunscreen for sun protection. Also wear protective clothing and sunglasses.

-Avoid sun exposure, particularly from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., when sunlight pours down 80% of its daily UV dose.

-Avoid reflective surfaces, such as water, sand, concrete, and white-painted areas. Clouds and haze are not protective and, in some cases, they may intensify UVB rays.

-Ultraviolet intensity depends on the angle of the sun, not its heat or brightness. The dangers are greater the closer to the start of summer. For example, in the Northern Hemisphere, UV intensity in April (2 months before summer starts) is equal to that in August (2 months after summer begins).

-The higher the altitude, the quicker you will sunburn.

-Avoid sun lamps and tanning beds or salons. They provide mostly high-output UVA rays. Some experts believe that 15 - 30 minutes at a tanning salon is as dangerous as a day spent in the sun.
-People should not be misled by advertising claims of "safe" tanning or promotions offering unlimited tanning.
