Using Pinnacle Studio 11, Sherry chronicled 50 letters between her grandparents into a moving, beautiful visual piece. Commenting on the project and using Studio 11, Sherry says: “I am an avid Pinnacle user and eagerly bought Studio 11 when it came out. I have not been disappointed even though it has not outwardly changed much. Sometimes companies change when there is no need to. I enjoy doing productions on my family history and I recently finished putting the 50 love letters that have survived and written by my grandparents into a word document. I decided that they should also be used as one of my Pinnacle projects. I used the old film plug-in for most of the effects and lots of black frames and a font that appeared to be the handwriting of an individual. I used the new music included in Pinnacle.” Very nice work, Sherry. We’re honored to provide the tools you used to immortalize and share those precious letters.

This month’s featured film is brought to us by a young video editor named Karina. At just 10 years old, she is one of our youngest editors to submit a short film, and she already has obvious talent. She first became interested in videos when she and her family actually worked on some TV shows and films in LA. She picked up her Dad’s video camera, and is now ‘always thinking of ideas for short film.’

This month’s featured film was so well done, we had to make an exception to our 'short' film requirements. Created by Eastern Illinois University students enrolled in the Broadcast Meteorology program, and led by Instructor/Climatologist Cameron Douglas Craig, 'An Illinois Winter' presents an interesting perspective on the winter that influenced past generations of Illinois residents. With moving music and serene images of East Central Illinois, the film brings to life a time long forgotten in today's hustle and bustle culture. Thanks Cameron, and all the talented EIU students involved in the making of this film.
