Have you recently bought and topped-up a Level Up! game card and found out it’s invalid?

Here’s Level Up!’s advisory:

VALID CARDS – Before you scratch the card and load it up, please make sure that you check the EXPIRY DATE at the back. If the expiry year is 2014 (any month is ok), the card is good and will work as normal. You may load it up on your MyLevelUp! account.
ePINS (Electronic Pins) – If you are buying your ePINs from an Internet Café, there is no need to worry. All of Load Central’s ePINs have been updated and are working properly. This means that all Level Up! load purchased through any of Load Central’s channels after Jan 3, 2013 are GOOD and will work as intended.
REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES – If you still encounter the “Invalid PIN” error (shown below), Level Up! promises to replace your PIN (load) as soon as possible once you complete the Customer Support process which can be found here.

Level Up! assures you that your PINs will be replaced within 24 hours from the time you’ve completely submitted all necessary requirements. You can also visit their office to have your load/cards/ePINs replaced. Here is the address of the Level Up! office for your reference:

After the Pride of Champions League (PCL) which happened from August 19, 2011 to September 18, 2011 nationwide, top 8 teams emerged. Team MOTV from Cebu won the grand title while Cristal (formerly AZK) and Saintz from Manila raced runners up accordingly. Gameclub sent the one and only Crossfire Philippine Team who proudly represented the Philippines at the most highly anticipated e-sports gaming festival---World Cyber Games last December 8-11, 2011, in Busan, Korea.

This May 2012, Crossfire will once again invade the regions from Luzon to Mindanao holding onsite tournaments and finals like never seen before. The best team might get a good chance to represent the country in the prestigious World Cyber Games 2012 in China happening late this year.

Domination 6 is scheduled this coming Saturday, April 21st, at the World Trade Center. Are you coming? You better do, cuz if you’re a gamer, I’m sure you’ve played at least one of the IP e-Games titles.

This is the 6th domination and will hopefully be my third time to attend.

Tournaments at the event include Ran Online Matira Matibay Tournament, Cabal 3v3 Carnage National Tournament, Point Blank Mega Bakbakan, Audition Dance Battle Master of Eight Keys and Bandmaster SOS Bagsakan.

Much-awaited by the gamers who go to Domination are the performers that will help liven up the mood at the event. This year, IP e-Games tapped the services of Up Dharma Down, Join the Club and Tanya Markova.

Karen Bordador and JC Cuadrado will be this year’s host.

Also, there will be job fair! So get those résumés printed out so you can land your dream job!

If you’re going, here are the dos and don’ts to remember (from the e-Games website):

Bring all your friends to join you in the e-Games Domination 6 event. You could also bring your family, the mang Tataho, the beautician at your favorite parlor, basta every one you could think of.
Allow the e-Games Domination 6 Security Personnel at the World Trade Center to inspect your belongings to ensure everyone’s safety at the venue. Make pakapkap ha?
Surrender all illegal firearms and paraphernalia and alcoholic beverages. Those intoxicated with alcohol and illegal drugs will be refused entry. Don’t make inom or do drugs, okay?
Follow the e-Games Domination 6 entrance procedure. Don’t follow the cutie or the pogi guy. You might be called a stalker.
Visit all booths to get a chance to win e-Games merchandise, in-game items and sponsor goodies. O yan ha, ang dami nyan. So you better visit the booths. Or else.
Sign-up for in-game tournaments and live contests found in each game booth. Sulat your name, address, and the nearest suking tindahan! Joke!
e-Games Management, event agency, sponsors and partners, and World Trade Center management are not liable for any loss or damage to your belongings so watch your personal belongings. Make bantay your bags, your cellphone, your digital cameras and any other stuff you have.
Dress appropriately. Slippers, tattered shirts and sandos are not allowed. No plunging necklines, super-short skirts or wearing of bikinis or thongs, or bright speedos.
Avoid smoking or littering in the venue. Yosi kadiri and don’t make kalat.
Don’t bring baon or food and drinks to the venue. There’s lots of Food and beverage booths at Domination 6. Just bring money and buy food and drinks there.
Don’t be unruly or get into fights with other gamers and players. A player caught by any e-Games staff displaying disruptive or unruly behavior during our live events shall evicted from the event venue. He/she will also be banned in-game and also from future e-Games on-ground events. So don’t make away.
Pregnant women and babies (infants and toddlers ages 1 year old below) will not be allowed to enter the event. Please understand ha, soon-to-be Mommy? And the babies, next time na lang kayo punta when you’re older! It’s for your own good.
For Safety and security, World Trade Center and Event Organizers shall have the right to refuse admission of persons if the maximum capacity has been exceeded, as determined by World Trade Center. Kaya make punta ng maaga or you might get left out.

This summer, as it heats up the year of the dragon, Weapons of War also adds the new Black Dragon Lotto to its item mall.

Players now have the rare chance to grab the latest Black Dragon Mount which gives them additional 40% move speed! But the fun doesn’t stop there, along with the new Black Dragon Lotto comes the Dragon Panda Lotto!

The Dragon Panda Lotto can be obtained by acquiring Dragon Panda Beads and then exchanging it from the Dragon Panda Bead Collector at certain towns. It contains a wide variety of rare items from upgrading, buffs, mount and the new Dragon Panda Pet! Also this month, the Blood Palace Championship, which is a part of the War for Supremacy Tournament, starts. Participants are now required to participate in the Blood Palace War every Saturday in order to gain points. By the end of the elimination round, points will be tallied and only the top 8 guilds will be part of the next leg of the tournament.

Genghis Khan Online: March Patch Notes

WHAT’S NEW WITH GENGHIS?

It’s finally here, Patch Day for GK! And yes they have listened, the guys (and girls) behind Genghis Khan Online are rolling out a new patch this coming March! And it looks like there will be a lot of changes.

Right of the bat, EXP! They are adjusting the experience rate for mid-level players, you won’t be stuck grinding forever trying to reach that elusive level to finally get your hands dirty and bash in some skulls in PvP! Oh, don’t worry about those guys that are way above your level, they have promised everything would be nice and balanced, with cherry on top.

My friends inside Gameclub told me that the cool down on skills, well let’s just say won’t be as abusive as before, you can finally put up a good fight against keyboard warriors that just constantly spam skills. Some of the skills would be tweak and adjusted as to balance the gameplay. But don’t shoot me if you don’t like it (I’m just the messenger) as this won’t be permanent. They want your feedback, so if you like it or don’t like it, just drop a message at their forums.

Offline “Actplay” or in simple terms, leveling up while logged out, this feature will no longer cost you an arm and leg (and kidney). It is finally affordable!

So, you wanted to try out your counterpart class? Or tired of your current class? No worries as you can finally change your class!

And for the players that spend, there will be more items to buy at your nearest one stop bazaar shop. And oh, they have adjusted some item pricing too!

The future of Genghis Khan is looking bright, with all these new patches rolling out; implementing suggestions made by gamers and with constant content coming out, this game is starting to look even better.

Dragona raises level cap to 50

The Long wait is finally over! Level Cap 50 on March 29, 2012

The update will raise the level cap to 50 and new a dungeon, map and town will be added. Also, players who reach level 40 before the cap increase will receive a permanent unique set of accessories which will help them as they embark in a new journey in the Continent of Bartan – Land of Orpheus.

The Desert Frontier of Orpheus - Unlock the Mysteries Beneath the Sand

The secret land of Orpheus was buried under the ruins of the desert. As years passed, the once lifeless land eventually became an oasis. This oasis became the habitat of numerous monsters that roam freely around the land of Orpheus. The Rune that crashed in the middle of the desert during the Dragon Wars 1000 years ago was actually the lost town of Nilvan and the traces of it still remain intact. Monsters found in this map are from level 41-50.

The Lost Rune Arc of Nilvan – Ancient Knowledge in the New World

The original rune arc that crashed hundreds of years ago became the lost town of Nilvan. This arc was actually the main control tower that controls the essence of the mystical magic of the Purian race. Unfortunately, the once proud arc crashed down in the land of Orpheus. Players may teleport to this town through the Portal Stone.

Hatchling Paradise Dungeon – Into the Garden of Beasts

The level of Difficulty of this Dungeon is from level 40-45, where you can enter through the NPC located in the Orpheus map.

Crossfire: Zombie Apocalypse [AI Mode]

Are you ready for the newest game mode in Crossfire Philippines? Gear up, and team with the best mercenaries in Crossfire for Zombie Apocalypse (AI Mode) is finally here!

The game focuses on cooperative team play (maximum of 4 players). Prove yourselves worthy and survive until the end by defending yourselves from apocalyptic wave of zombies. There are new zombie characters with skills that will surprise you as they go through your way: Fast Nanos (Sprinter), Ghost Assassins (Semi-invisible while moving), Reapers, Hulks (Movement speed dramatically increases for a limited time), Boomers (Suicide Explosion) and Ink Nano (Releases black smoke for a limited time). Rewards for this mode may vary based on the score of a mercenary. Are you apt to the challenge? Then what are you waiting for?

What to expect:

Players can choose between 2 maps:

BL CAMP
- Mercenaries consistently stay on same area however the level of difficulty increases.
SECRET VALLEY
- An expedition battle map where in players should finish each level wave so they could move forward to the next battle ground.

EASY
- 20 massive waves of zombies to finish
MEDIUM
- 30 massive waves of zombies to finish

Diablo III drops May 15th

I can still remember playing Diablo with my friends via modem back in the days. Doing so was the coolest thing because internet wasn’t that fast/popular/accessible back then. With the dawn of online games, however, I must admit my Diablo addiction was put to rest.

The announcement of Diablo III’s release, though, somehow put the spark back. I missed the game all of a sudden.

IP E-Games merges with Level Up!

IP E-games and Level Up Inc. is merging. The corporate disclosure recently filed at the Philippine Stock Exchange reads:

IP E-Game Ventures Inc. (E-Games), the listed online gaming subsidiary (PSE:EG) of IP Ventures, Inc., and Level Up! Inc. (LUI), have reached an
agreement to merge their Philippine online game publishing businesses. On February 14, the parties signed an agreement stating that most of E-Game’s titles and assets relating to its game publishing business will be transferred to LUI and the publishing operations of said titles will be merged into LUI’s associated online game publishing company, Playweb Games Inc.

In exchange, E-Games will receive equity in LUI, a commercial interest in Playweb Games Inc. (game publisher and operator of all game titles and services under the Level Up! brand in the Philippines), and a cash consideration. The parties shall work in good faith to complete the deal. The appropriate disclosures and comprehensive statements shall be made at the appropriate time.

E-Games and LUI, as a merged entity, is expected to strategically benefit both companies as a result of future operational synergies and savings.

2nd PUP Otaku Xperience on March 2-3

The 2nd PUP Otaku Xperience will happen on March 2-3, 2012 at the PUP Freedom Plaza, PUP Main Campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila. It is presented by the PUP Otaku U Rule who will also be celebrating its second year anniversary with the event.

The organization will also be launching the Ignite Anime campaign during the event. The campaign "is designed to reenergize and reinvigorate the anime fandom and individual anime brand with fun games and activities for the enjoyment of the general public."

Cross Fire's Hero Mode Patch

Good news to Cross Fire Philippines players! The much-awaited Hero Mode Patch very soon!

The Hero Mode Patch features the new action-packed game mode called Hero Mode, an advanced version of the Zombie Mode wherein one player will be chosen to be the powerful “Hero.” The patch will also include new lotto weapons namely MG3, a low recoil machine gun and Christmas Set that includes Holiday themed AK47, Kriss Super V, M249 and the first ever permanent melee weapon, Kris. There will also be an addition in the Zombie characters, the fast and scary Assassin.

What's more, the game is giving out free Gold AK47 and Gold Katana both for 30 days to users who were able to log in from October 1, 2011 to November 30, 2011 and to those who were unable to log in since July 12, 2011 to October 31, 2011.

Crossfire Team Philippines is now in Busan, Korea to represent the country at the World Cyber Games 2011 on December 8 to 11, 2011.

The Philippine Team was composed of some members from Cebu's Team MOTV, winner of Crossfire Pride of Champions League (PCL) National Finals, joined by some members from the PCL runner-up, Team Cristal. Problems with VISA applications prohibited other MOTV members from flying to Korea, thus, some members of Cristal were called to complete the team.

Gameclub Philippines is releasing a new game titled Genghis Khan. Yep! The historical icon is now in the gaming world. And he's coming to the Philippines on November 29, 2011.

Genghis Khan is developed by Kylin Games, bringing history and fantasy in the game. The setting is 1300 AD Mongolia and the mission is to help build the empire, fight off invasions, and combat other kingdoms.

You can climb the rank from a new recruit to the army to King or Queen of your chosen kingdom. There are 12 classes and 8 professions to choose from. Mounts are also available. What's exciting is that you can also get EXP while visiting the theme park or dancing in the club.
