Latin Fury 13/Pinoy Power 3 Boxing Match on Feb. 13, 2010 under card results coming from the BoxingScene.com were:

The first bout, Puerto Rican Hector Marengo (5-0-1) fought to a draw against Edgar Portillo (6-3-1) in their super featherweight match. Scores were 58-56 56-58 and 57-57.

In the second fight Filipino Mark Melligen improved to 17-2 after scoring a TKO to hand Raymond Gatica (11-1) his first professional loss. Referee Kenny Bayless stopped the fight at the 2:36 mark of the 6th round.

Jose Benavidez, 17 year old, (2-0) scored a TKO at the 1:07 mark of the 1st round when his opponent John Vega (0-2) quit while being engulfed by a flurry of punches.

Undefeated middleweight prospect Matt Korobov came out of his corner with bad intentions, blitzing Lamar Harris with a two fisted attack until referee Robert Byrd halted the bout at 1:05 of the first round. St. Louis native Harris (6-5-3,4KO) was immediately forced to the ropes and couldn't land the counter-punch he was looking for to hold off the former Russian Olympian Korobov (10-0,8KO), who got the first round knockout that he was clearly looking for.

Top Rank prospect, Diego Magdaleno, remained undefeated with an (80-72,78-74,79-73) unanimous decision victory over Italy's Floriana Pagliara in an eight round Super Featherweight bout.

Fernando Montiel (39-2-2, 29 KOs), of Los Mochis, Mexico, is a four-time, three-division world champion. He captured his first world title, knocking out Isidro Garcia in the seventh round, to capture the WBO flyweight title in 2000. After three successful title defenses, two by knockout, he vacated the title to capture the WBO junior bantamweight title, with a sixth-round TKO of Pedro Alcazar in 2002. Ciso Morales (14-0, 8 KOs), of Bohol, Philippines, has been making it rough for all his opponents since making his professional debut in 2007. He captured the WBO Oriental junior featherweight title in only his 10th bout, winning a unanimous decision over Marangin Marbun in 2008. He successfully defended the title three times, two by knockout, through this year, elevating his rating to No. 8 in the WBO.

ABS-CBN News reported that Donaire's foe was replaced because Gerson Guerrero of Mexico did not passed the eye examination in the Las Vegas. Guerrero failed the examination because of certain retina issue.

Meanwhile, the fight of Donaire will continue with his new challenger, Mexican Manuel Vargas of Mexico as well.

Gorres to watch Pinoy Power III for his support

Z "The Dream" Gorrez was supposedly one of the Filipino boxer who will fight on the upcoming Pinoy Power 3 in Las Vegas but due to unexpected happenings on his last fight he was comatose. Mostly of the news portal has reportedly that he will be at the ringside to watch and give his full support to the Filipino boxers.

“Nalulungkot ako na hindi na ako maka-boxing… dahil bata pa ako, boxing na ako,” he told ABS-CBN Correspondent Dyan Castillejo.

Gorres is recovering from 2 major brain surgeries in Las Vegas, said he will especially cheer on Ciso Morales, the fighter who replaced him in the world title fight against Mexican Fernando Montiel.

Morales, for his part, said he hopes to show Montiel’s World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamweight belt to Gorres after the fight.

“‘Pag may suwerte, yayakap ako sa kanya... ‘Pag hindi naman, yayakapin ko pa rin siya,” noted Morales. He said he hopes to defeat his Mexican opponent with uppercuts and hooks.

Gorres then addressed Morales, Nonito Donaire, Jr., Mark Melligen, Bernabe Concepcion and Gerry Peñalosa: “Good luck nalang sa inyo sana pagbutihan niyo para maiwagayway ang bandila ng Pilipinas.”

World Boxing Association (WBA) interim super flyweight champion Donaire will defend his title against Manuel Vargas of Mexico. Vargas replaced fellow Mexican Gerson Guerrero, who failed his eye exam because of a detached retina.

Peñalosa will fight Puerto Rican Eric Morel while Concepcion will clash with Mario Santiago of Puerto Rico. Melligen will face Raymond Gatica in the undercard.

Nonito “The Filipino Flash" Donaire, Jr. will again lead the third edition of Top Rank’s “Pinoy Power" PPV card on Feb. 13 against his Mexican challenger Gerson "El Nene" Guerrero at the Hilton Casino in Las Vegas.

Donaire (22-1, 14 KOs), former flyweight champion, start on his quest to become a multi-division titlist by dominating a four pounds overweight Rafael Concepcion of Panama in a fight for the interim WBA super flyweight strap last August at the Hard Rock Hotel in Casino in Las Vegas.

Guerrero (34-8-0, 26 KOs), the Mexican with the alias “El Nene" is coming off a 10th round TKO win over compatriot Enrique Quevedo last June in Mexico City. The fight was for the vacant NABF super flyweight title and also served as WBC super flyweight eliminator.

The 32-year-old Guerrero previously vied for a world title at a higher division – the WBO bantamweight crown - but got knocked out in two rounds by Daniel Ponce de Leon in Carson City in May 2006.
