Nearly 150 dolphins feared dead in Japan despite rescue bid

Rescuers were forced to abandon efforts to save around 150 melon-headed whales that stranded on a beach in Japan on Friday, after frantically trying all day to save them.

As darkness fell, local officials in Hokota, about 100 kilometres (60 miles) northeast of Tokyo, said they had been able to save only three of the 149 animals that had beached and that the rescue effort had been called off.

The rest of the creatures, a member of the dolphin family usually found in the deep ocean, had either died or were dying, they said.

"It was becoming dark and too dangerous to continue the rescue work at this beach, where we could not bring heavy equipment," said an unnamed Hokota city official.

"Many people volunteered to rescue them but the dolphins became very, very weak."

"Only three of them have been successfully returned to the sea, as far as we can confirm," he added.

Locals and coastguard teams had battled through the day to save the animals, trying to stop their skin from drying out as they lay on the sand.

Others were carried in slings back towards the ocean.

An AFP journalist at the scene said that some of the creatures were being pushed back onto the beach by the tide soon after being released, despite efforts to return them to the water.

"We see one or two whales washing ashore a year, but this may be the first time we have found over 100 of them on a beach," a coastguard official told AFP.

The pod was stretched out along a roughly 10-kilometre-long stretch of beach in the Ibaraki area, where they were found by locals early Friday morning.

"They are alive. I feel sorry for them," one man at the scene told public broadcaster NHK, as others ferried buckets of seawater to the stranded animals to pour over them.

Massive efforts were required to get the three that survived back into the water.

Rescuers wrapped them with blankets before putting them on a coastguard vessel. The animals were taken to waters about 10 kilometres from the shore and released, according to NHK.

Footage showed many of the less fortunate animals laying in shallow waters, too weak to swim, being pushed back and forth by the waves.

Facebook Sued By 25,000 Users Over Privacy

Facebook is being sued in Austria over alleged privacy violations and claimed participation in the US National Security Agency's (NSA) PRISM programme.

An Austrian law graduate called Max Schrems is leading the class action lawsuit on behalf of around 25,000 Facebook users based in Europe and beyond.

Among them are more than 1,000 people from the UK and Ireland.

Germany, regarded as one of Europe's more privacy-conscious countries, has the highest number of people backing the case with more than 5,000 users.

The hearing is set to begin in Vienna, where Mr Schrems will say Facebook took a "Wild West" approach to data protection.

He said: "Basically, we are asking Facebook to stop mass surveillance, to (have) a proper privacy policy that people can understand, but also to stop collecting data of people that are not even Facebook users.

"There is a wide number of issues in the lawsuit and we hope to kind of win all of them and to get a landmark case against US data-gathering companies."

The case has been brought against the social network's European headquarters in Dublin.

All accounts outside the US and Canada are registered there - around 80% of the site's 1.3 billion users.

Mr Schrems is seeking compensation of around £360 per user.

In June 2013 Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg denied that Facebook had taken part in the NSA's spying programme to share user information with the US government.

Dear Louisians,

Trusting in the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, we look back to 2014 with gratitude for all that was and we look forward to 2015 for all that will be with hope.

The year 2014 at SLU was marked with bold innovations that included SLU’s major initiative to push for academic calendar change, as one viable step towards the integration Philippine HEIs in the ASEAN educational region. Another requirement for the said cross-national integration of educational systems was the Outcomes-based Education (OBE) model, which was successfully launched in SLU and is soon going to be completed in 2015. Also, to complement SLU’s tradition of academic excellence through commendable board examination performances, new forms of cooperation were established with some Southeast Asian counterparts, aiming at the increase of opportunities for both faculty and students.

Finally, as the motto of the university’s foundation week concisely expressed it, working as one academic community means to love and to serve in the CICM way: Amare et Servire. And if there is one event which the Catholic faithful of our nation are looking forward to, it is the upcoming visit of His Holiness Pope Francis. I believe that the motto Amare et Servire wonderfully summarizes the attitude and spirituality of the Pope and succinctly resonates with His Holiness’ Mercy and Compassion leadership example. I therefore encourage all of you to follow the upcoming events as we welcome Pope Francis to our land.

Manny Pacman Pacquiao won by unanimous decision, a fight between him and Shane Mosley

Almost 6000 people in the stadium watched the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley.

In the 3rd round, Manny knocked down Mosley by a down-right left combination. Manny was pushed on the 10th round and a lot of people thought that Manny was knocked down by Mosley. The camera slow mowed the video to verify if Manny was really knocked down and then determined that he really was not knocked. After the 3rd round, Manny said that he was surprised that Mosley was not fighting back anymore but instead dodge Manny's punches.

After the 10th round, Manny got on to his nerves and he became more furious as if it was Hatton who he's fighting. But Manny never got the chance to knock Mosley down within 11th and 12th round.

The first person who Manny searched was his wife, Jinky Pacquiao. After a moment, Manny told his friends and coach that after 3rd round, he had cramps on his left foot. That is why he wasn't able to concentrate much on the 4th up to the 9th round.

Mosley told to the people that he also had cramps. And he admitted that the strongest punch he ever encountered was Manny's punch in history. Mosley is a kind man and he congratulated Manny as a real winner of the fight between them.

Marquez was also watching. According to them, he was watching Manny's moves so that he would know what would he do to defeat Manny.

When Manny Pacquiao was interviewed. The reporter asked him, "How was the fight? What happened to your foot? Is it related to your training?".

"The fight was okay. About my foot, well I never thought that this would come back. After all I never done so much of exercise using my feet. I thought my exercise was enough. And it was really hard exercising when you stop for a long time.", Manny replied.

Manny's children were very proud of him and to his victory. They were also watching Manny as he is fighting Mosley. Her mother, Dionisia, kept praying that Manny will be alright and will win. Dionisia wanted to tell something to Manny after the fight. She wanted to tell him to stop and retire from boxing, but she never had a chance talking to him after the fight. She will just wait, she said.

She atlast found her true father this month of May. Actually, she found her father before and Angelica was emotional at that time. Being emotionally affected, she didn't admit to her father that she really was.

When Angelica found her real father, she also met her grandmothers and grandfathers on the side of her father's family. She also met her sisters and brothers. As of her father, he really didn't expect much of that the reality would happen which is to meet her daughter face to face. He also told the people of the Philippines their similarities as father and daughter. But since her father was in America before, he does not want to see Angelica there but here in the Philippines.

Baguio City: Fire started to burn 1 house in Honeymoon Road, near Saint Louis University. No people were harmed.

According to the people around the place, they did not know what seemed to happen. They just called the fire department that a huge fire was starting to burn a single house. The owner of the house is Mr. De Guzman's (name not given) and was not hurt during the fire. The firemen rushed hastily in the burning house and attempted to rescue any people involved with the fire.

The fire started because of the coals(as the firemen said), maybe inside or near the house. Maybe the ashes of the coals while on fire started to burn the house without being seen by the owner or other people around the area. The fire started maybe around 8:40PM and it was really huge after 15-20 minutes!

There were no people harmed except for 1 animal, which is the owner's dog(I think it's the owner's). Thank God no people were harmed, but we must pray that it would not happen again like in Magsaysay early morning. We must also pray for the dog's soul because its an animal, they also have souls.

He was a man of fortune because of his parents. His dad I think was a businessman. The whole problem of global warming are those companies producing greenhouse-gas which contribute to Global Warming. Apparently, the ones who are blamed for this effects are those companies all around the world who produce the greenhouse-gas. I believe that some of us wonder why oil companies still sell gas such as petroleum and diesel to vehicles since the CO2 from vehicles contributes to Global Warming.

The picture above shows factories that have been polluting air since the beginning of the Industrial Age. I have no one to blame why humans used factories to make life easy but are there any humans that can create the right CURE for this mistake?

Especially for those RICH guys who have lots of cars, emitting more gas! Come on guys why not just release the HYDROGEN gas which can relieve the pain of the atmosphere? I heard that HYDROGEN GAS for cars were invented but never it was showed to public because the oil companies will be at risk. Of course why use OIL when we can use WATER as gas for cars?

Hey guys I just want to share a happening in my past time life. I was just thinking right now to share what happened.

This happened long time ago and it was so funny how it happened. It was afternoon that day when I was walking down a street. I saw a lot of riders with their big bikes roaring so sweet like I want to ride one!

I was on the sidewalk taking a picture of them parking, exhibiting, etc. They were totally cool except for 1. And that guy was totally nuts like he thinks he's the boss of the street! He even swore at my camera while I was taking a video of him exhibiting telling "FUCK YOU" to me. I was like "what the heck's wrong with that guy?!?!?!" ... Another rider came and was sorry for his friend. He also told me that the other guys were also irritated to that stupid guy who just swore at me. I love taking pictures of them because Im also riding a motorcycle but not that big.

After that I walked away ... and I saw then again after 5 minutes while walking. I saw that freakin guy who just swore at me exhibiting in the road. I was like "okay who cares" ... he was so weird because while exhibiting, he was also shouting!

And after that here's what happened haha ... while he was doing a wheelie, a van in front of him suddenly stopped because a little kid from another street lost control of his ball and it came in front of the van. Then that stupid guy was like "BOOOMMMM!!!" hahahahaha! I was so laughing because he stood as if nothing happened! LOOOOOOL! Then this is what I did, i came in front of him taking a video! And he was like swearing again haha. I told him "WHATEVER LOSER" ... of course he would do nothing because Im just a kid! LOL

So guys over there be careful of yourselves! As much as possible, don't brag! DON'T BRAG! What goes around comes around. :)) . Thats all folks!

AJ Perez Death

A lot of people are sad because of AJ Perez's death last week. He was just an 18 year old guy who just went to Dagupan going back to Manila after finishing his shooting. I actually do not know who he really was. I just knew when I saw his face and I was like "Hey, this guy's on TV!". Some of my friends(girls) said "sayang gwapo pa naman". Oh well thats life.

But the thing is, why did the driver of the van overtook a vehicle longer than his vehicle? I'm not saying that the driver's fault, but why? I experienced driving and I never wanted to overtake vehicles which are longer than mine. Or maybe overtake a vehicle to which another vehicle in front of me is running at 100 miles per kilometer. NO! So yeah I was shocked of what happened.

Condolence to his family ... May his soul rest in peace.

The last day of my Christmas and New Year vacation! I don't want to go to school or university! :(

I am so worried about tomorrow! I feel like reversing the time and want to have another 1 week and 2 days vacation! I don't want to go to school. Reason? My stupid grades! I don't want to see them! Errr it is so irritating! I expect it to be low as hell. Why am I expecting too much? Its because my exams were pretty disappointing!! Arghhhhhhhh. I also don't want to see the results of my stupid exams. Why am I pissed because of the exams? Because I know what to answer but it is time consuming! Arrrrrgh. I hate it. I hate college life.

Some say that college life is better than high school life. I'd say NO to them because I prefer high school life! It is a little bit easy, relaxing, a bit thrilling, instructors are easy to approach, and etc. Unlike college, it's hard! I'm just trying to survive this madness of the university. They are like torturing our minds for some reasons! That's why I spent my time here in Pangasinan and Manila to have fun! FUN FUN FUN! And now here's the upcoming resuming classes. Ohhh so boring.

Sometimes I ask myself why the instructors give students hard quizzes or exams or seat works. Is that the only the student can master the subject? Oh hell no! Can you see how nursing students study? They just memorize! Do you think that they would remember everything that they had memorized in the past? Nooo, I don't think so! I had this instructor(one of the best instructor I had) who taught us LOGIC in class. We were talking about the memory of the brain. He said that, "If a person listens to a specific topic and asked him a question and he answered it correctly, that person would only remember 20% or 30% of what he listened about after 2 to 3 days." And yeah I think he's right because I had this sociology subject and I kept memorizing stuffs. We had a test and I got them all correct. After 3 or 4(I think) days, we had a surprise quiz. And that's all about the quiz that we had last 3 or 4 days. I just remembered those words that are fun to hear, easy to understand, and what I only knew about.

But try to open your eyes and see the real world. Some people are rich because they were born to have a wealthy family. They just start a business and then boom, they are rather rich or in a medium family(some businesses fail). Almost all of the students today are studying to have their degree and how about it? What if you got your degree and apply a job that is not within your degree? What if you finished nursing and got a job of being a waitress? But I'm not saying that if you finished your degree, you won't get a job related to your current degree. It's just that some companies are full of employees like computer designers. Isn't that unfair? A boy who just lives in a street who has no degree and got a job as a computer designer while you, as a boy, is studying to get a degree of being a designer and the company you wanted to apply was over in finding computer designers? See how unfair going to school is. It's like we're just going to school just for our friends. Admit it to yourself. Of course 40% of your decision is you want to go to school to learn. And if you're in school you realize that you're not learning anything but the basics. Some teacher say that you need to go to high school so that you will be using the lessons you have learned in college. But then why are students still taking the same subjects like chemistry and physics? Sigh.

Hey to those who loves to go to school, I'm not being to negative about going to school or university. I'm just pointing out the disadvantages and uselessness of going to school or university. And these are just my opinions. I love to go to the university but hey, is that worth our money we're paying for it? Ask yourself why you're going to school. I asked myself and I answered it too. It is because of our degree. The instructors are teaching us something that they're also memorizing. Don't assume that they know everything because they're also students like us who keeps memorizing their topics so that they will know what to teach us STUDENTS. Besides, if I think of a school or university, I think of investment. Do you think that the president of the university cares of each student? I'm studying in a university which is a catholic university. Their occupied land is tax-free! And guess what, the university got lame 1980's instruments and equipment. Cool isn't it? Not. The president didn't even suspend class while a typhoon hits our place. He just suspended the class when the typhoon was out of the area.

That's why I don't want to go back to school! Argh.

Why am I posting this? Because I WANT TO HELP to those people who doesn't have enough money to buy DIATABS or whatsoever. I am going to share what I've experienced before I persuade you guys to do what I just did.

At first, I just don't care how my stomach hurts. I just go to the bathroom and poop poop poop the thing out of my stomach! Until there is a time that it won't poop anymore, but it poops something which is like saliva or white slimy thing. It's like, there is something inside your stomach that is really irritating and you keep on going to the bathroom to poop but there's nothing coming out except for that slimy thing. I was so worried about that. And I just asked my relatives on what to do. They said that I should chew the leaves of the guava. Not the huge dark greenish leaf, but the small one with light green in color. I was so afraid to do that because I didn't even grow up here in the Philippines just to try that! I was raised by my parents with medicine, not natural medicine like leaves haha. So after 6 hours or I think 5 hours of agony, I decided to chew that! My relatives were like laughing at me because I kept on going to the bathroom every 5 minutes or 10 minutes. And so? Who cares? Its my stomach that matters! So yeah, I tried their recommendation. When I got a leaf, they said that a leaf won't do anything. So I went back to the backyard and got 6 leaves or 7. Then I chewed them all. They also told me not to swallow the leaves, but to absorb the leaves' juice. It tastes so bitter like I was about to spit them out! But they said that its just like that. Its like a papaya which cures diabetes, unlike sugar which tastes so sweet but causes diabetes.

Try it guys! Don't be afraid! Because I tried it :D. And it is effective! Well I hope it is effective to you guys, because for me it is. Don't worry because you wont die from it, just try! You won't lose anything, but of course your diarrhea will be lost when you try my recommendation. Good luck guys!

What is a computer?

Let us define and explain what a computer is.

A computer is an electronic device or machine that manipulates data, process, store, and retrieve data. We can use the computer to store lots of information by just opening the Microsoft Word and type the necessary information you need. You can also put some notes on the notepad. The computer is an amazing device because it can almost do everything like playing 3D games, playing 2D games, playing the music with its built-in speakers, etc etc. The computer is like our brain but its memory is better than ours. Unlike the computer, our brain only consumes information which are to be forgotten someday and some information aren't to be forgotten. The computer, stores every information without forgetting it. But the problem with the computers are viruses. These viruses can cause your computer to destroy itself, examples are; unexpected deletion of stored information, sudden shut-down, transfers files from the internet without noticing, having your computer download something that is unnoticeable, etc. That is why anti-viruses were discovered.

From my experience:
Computers are the best devices to be used at home! It kills your boredom especially when you don't know what to do with your 3 hour break at school. Just go home and play some games online! Or make some funny stories of what you had been doing recently like jumping off a roof 7 feet high, climbing at your neighborhood's tree just to get your dog up there wanting some apples to eat, etc etc. You can also use programs like adobe photoshop for making fun with your friends' pictures! But most of the time, I spend every minute of my life with online games. I love playing games, really. I would never live my life without playing games. My mom usually scolds me every time she sees me playing from 6PM until 9AM. I am like, "Whaaat? Am I doing something bad? Am I watching porn? NO! I'm not even swearing while playing(that's when I was a high school student)! And besides, it's a weekend. Why would she scold me for no reason? I'm just spending my time enjoying with games." So yeah, computer is the best thing for me. I mean, one of the best :D. Whoever discovered computer in this world, I'd love to thank him so much for making our LIFE EASY! And Bill Gates? Yeah he's my idol in making the Microsoft company because every game I play are all Microsoft. And it's totally cool! Love it! Thanks discoverers of computers! :D

Which is better? Commute? Use a motorcycle? Or use a car?

For me that question is difficult. My parents have 2 cars, my brother has 1 car and is planning to buy a big bike someday, and I have an underbone motorcycle(school service).

Since this is Tagaytay City, the climate here is cold and I love using my motorcycle frequently. I use my service every time I want to stroll at day and at night with my huge jacket made of pure cotton and gloves. I also use this when I go to school especially when I'm late. There are times that I'm so irritated to jeepney drivers because they drive so slow like so SLOW. I am like "HEY CAN YOU PLEASE DRIVE A LITTLE BIT FASTER?" and they just kept slowing even I keep pressing the horn. That's if I am late hehe :). So yeah that's the advantage of a motorcycle. You can swerve in opposite lanes if the roads are clear, the gasoline is really efficient, it's super fun, and it's fast. Since it is mountainous in here, I get a 32 kilometers per liter of gas. But the disadvantage of a motorcycle is that it's 100% risky,you can't use it during rainy seasons, and its comfortability lacks.

Unlike cars, we are comfortable using it because it is 4-wheeled vehicle meaning we don't have to balance like for the motorcycles. We can even sleep inside the car if ever we don't have a place to stay like you're going to visit in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. But the thing is, the number 1 enemy using a car is the traffic and gasoline. If you're rich, then why get problematic about gasoline? Let's just say that, the traffic will make you bored and impatient. The traffic here in the Philippines is like hell especially in Manila. It's like there are always accidents happening that causes the traffic. But really, there aren't. Maybe there are at times, but not always. Imagine yourself in the middle of a traffic and you want to pooh because you ate something expired of date. Imagine ...... errrr so irritating haha. I don't want to poop inside my car, NO WAY!

How about we compare "commute" to those of services we use like cars and motorcycles? Hmmm well the advantage of commuting is the safety like cars do and comfortability but lacks of privacy like when you're scratching your ass because it's itchy. But let me just say that, commuting is the best part of service because you spend your money less. That's my opinion. Unlike cars and motorcycles, you need to maintain the engines like buying oil, extra screws, etc. You don't even know if your car or motorcycle will be stolen later or tomorrow or will be smashed by envy persons somewhere there! At least when commuting, just pay the driver and go. And a little bit of a walk when you're not in the right spot to where you want to go.

CNN: NASA reports 10 months from now, earth gets hotter 4 DEGREES CELSIUS!

While I was checking on my facebook, a friend of mine texted this message about the CNN reporting that the NASA said that the earth will increase it's temperature of 4 degrees celsius hot. I was like "No doubt that the earth will get hotter."

By observing people, you can easily see that "we" are the one's destroying earth. People just don't care about the garbages they're throwing everywhere! Well I admit that I kept throwing garbages like candy plastics on the street when I was a high school student. At that time, I realized how stubborn we are at cleanliness.

Are we really that stubborn? Maybe not.

I know some people who really are fond of cleaning and who are CLEAN. I'm not saying that most of us are dirty, but what I meant is that some of them are totally clean. As if they are like the janitor fish who cleans every minute! But yeah I'm not that kind of person, so what then?

But let me tell you guys, keep practicing in throwing garbages properly. Try to dispose them properly. Don't just throw your garbage in the trash can like in a basketball game. Hey, I tried that many times! Whenever I shoot a piece of paper in a trash can, I always think that I would make a point. But no, it didn't even hit the trash can. So I just let the janitor do the work, or whoever wants to clean that up. I know almost all of us are like that but please guys, let's be gentle to Earth. The Earth loves us, then let's love her too ^_^ !
