Pish Posh Polka Dots

The most recent inserts I've made..

2012-04-23T19:24:00.000-04:00

Still haven't found the time to update the listings with the newest patterns and with one very important 5 year old's Hello Kitty party less than two weeks away, I've decide to hold off.

However, in the meantime, I wanted to post a couple of pictures of the latest creations!

Dreaming of patterns

2012-04-15T14:46:00.001-04:00

It's possible that I may dream of patterns for the next week or so but I'm happy to have all of the templates completed. Next step is updating all of the Esty listings but that may have to wait because I have a very exciting afternoon of making stuff for her upcoming birthday party planned with my sweet little girl.

Here are the patterns (some new and old) that will be offered. I hope you like them!

More new previews

Getting ready to call it a night but I wanted to post a few more previews!

Working on some changes...

2012-04-14T17:43:00.000-04:00

Decided to update the way I've been listing the iPhone inserts on Etsy. Instead of one listing, I'll be listing each pattern as an individual listing with examples of what the pattern looks like in each color...

It's very time consuming to say the least but I think it will be worth it in the long run...

I've completed 3 examples so far...only about 20 or so to go...

Dusting this thing off...

2012-04-07T10:48:00.000-04:00

Can you believe it's been almost a year since I last updated this blog?? What can I say, it's been a busy year and it hasn't left much time for crafting.

For some time now I've been wanting a personalized iPhone cover but at $50 a pop, I just can't bring myself to forking over that kind of money. Then it dawned on me, "Why not just create my own?" And that's where this little project started. I made them for myself, had fun changing out the designs all the time, and others started to notice and insisted I make them to sell.

So, without further ado, I bring you my lastest creation - iPhone inserts. They have been designed to fit in the Griffin Reveal CB02356 case that can be purchased at many online and local retailers - I purchased mine from Best Buy because I had a coupon but I've seen them cheaper on Amazon.

Here are some of examples of the inserts I've made so far. You'll have to excuse the somewhat subpar quality of these photos. I took the majority with my iPhone and the lighting in our house isn't the greatest.

How to creatively display your child's artwork

2011-04-23T18:24:00.008-04:00

Last year, I enrolled my little girl into a wonderful preschool and before too long, she was coming home with more artwork than I knew what to do with and heaven forbid I throw it away. It became pretty evident that I was going to have to think of a creative way to display her hard work. After many google searches, I stumbled across an inexpensive option:

Ikea - Deka curtain rod - $5.99/each.

For an entire year, I hung up every single piece in her room. Sorry for the horrible lighting but the paint in our house casts a horrible yellow cast on every single photo. You get the idea, though, right?

Then, I simply took a picture of each piece of artwork and uploaded the photos into my computer.

The easiest step was loading all of the photos into Snapfish and choosing one of their poster photo collages. The hardest part of the whole process was deciding which 30 photos I was going to chose.

The final product looked like this! LOVE!!!!

The whole project - frame and photo collage - cost about $30.

Want another money saving tip? Check out Ebates!! Ebates paid me $1.20 just for using their website to go shop off of Snapfish's website. They even provided 10% off my order and free shipping. Can't beat that!!!

I am so excited to finally show all of you my new items soon to be added to my Etsy.

These are fabulous dual purpose boards! With endless ways to personalize and use them, they are a great addition to your house and make fabulous gifts! They are a magnetic board, but you can also use them as dry erase boards. For the lighter colors, I recommend using a regular dry erase marker. For the darker colors {black & chocolate}, I recommend using a chalk pen.

Personalized Dry Erase Magnetic Boards:
