I got a lot of great answers, so I decided to combine some of them and some of my own to create a hand-lettered heart design full of positive affirmations. Mermaid in the USA Cut File for the Fourth

I wouldn't normally post on a Saturday, but I have a fun FREE hand-lettered cut file that I just couldn't wait to share with you. I always love to make a unique shirt for the Fourth of July, so this year when I was searching for inspiration, I saw the phrase "Mermaid in the USA" in a few places. I knew I had to hand-letter the phrase and create my own patriotic shirt for Independence Day. And as usual, I'm sharing the cut file with you today so that you can make your own.

Mermaids are pretty popular these days, and I loved the excuse to draw a mermaid tail! I think the design turned out really cute! Download the FREE hand-lettered SVG file here. Once I created my design, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut red glitter HTV, gold metallic HTV, and blue holographic HTV from Expressions Vinyl for my design. I love the combination of the glitter and foil-y goodness! I ironed the designs on a cute tank from Target. I can't wait to wear my shirt to celebrate for the Fourth! My friends at Expressions Vinyl gave me the challenge to create a project based on the idea of Summer Fun. Summer always make me think of the beach, so I decided to try to personalize a beach chair with vinyl, and, y'all, it worked! To make this project even more fun, I used fluorescent vinyl in a rainbow of colors, and I threw in some glitter vinyl because, well, GLITTER. I feel like this chair just screams SUMMER! I want to start drinking more water; that's why I bought myself a new water bottle. I figured I'd be more willing to drink water if my water bottle was cute, so I designed a little something on my iPad Pro. I converted the design to an SVG to use with my Silhouette Cameo.

For a while now, I've wanted to write a post about my favorite Bible journaling supplies, but I never took the time to do it...until this week. So today I'm going to tell you all about the supplies I love to use when I'm being creative in my Bible. Of course, these supplies will work for art journaling of any kind, but y'all know I love my Bible journaling, so I'll try to mention how they work on the pages of my journaling Bible.

I do want to mention first and foremost that you do NOT have to have a lot of fancy supplies to start journaling in your Bible. All you need is a journaling Bible (or a notebook) and a no-bleed pen. You can start there and add supplies to your collection as you become more comfortable working in your Bible. But if you've followed me for a while, you know I'm a craft supply hoarder, so I need ALL. THE. SUPPLIES. Well, I don't need them, but I want them. *wink* So today I'm just going to tell you a little about the supplies I continuously go back to. In months past, I have collaborated with other bloggers to bring you free devotions and coordinating Bible journaling printables. This month, my friend Jennifer Hayes Yates--Christian devotion writer and blogger at One Thing--asked me to write a devotion as part of a three-week series on her blog all about digging deeper with God. I was so excited that she asked me to write something because I have been wanting to write more lately, and her request was just the push I needed to finally do it. The topic she gave me was worship, so I set aside a few days to study what God says about worship, and I wrote a devotion entitled "Whole-Hearted Worship."

When I was studying worship to write this devotion, one of the verses I found inspired me to do an entry in my journaling Bible. You might have seen the page I illustrated on Instagram.

Make This Easy DIY Nursery Art from a Cabinet Door

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that my husband and I are in the process of adopting a child. After years of struggling with infertility, we are SO excited to finally be growing our family in the very near future. We don't know if our future child will be a boy or a girl, so I've been keeping myself from doing too much nursery decorating. This month I have teamed up with Expressions Vinyl to share a post with y'all with the theme "On the Wall," and I thought this was the perfect excuse to create some art for my bare nursery walls. I created a fun cut file featuring part of a Bible verse, and I used it to create some neutral nursery art. As usual, I'm sharing the free cut file with you at the end of the post so that you can make your own!

Part of what makes this art so easy to create is that it's made from an unfinished cabinet door. Yep, my local Habitat Restore had some inexpensive unfinished oak cabinet doors for sale a while back, and they were the perfect size for art, so I purchased a few. I just had to stain the door, paint the inside panel and add some vinyl to complete my nursery art. I'm sure you'd like the full tutorial though, so here we go!
