Viñales Family Farm

Along the country road outside Viñales, I came across this farm situated in between two mogotes. These limestone hills are lush with vegetation and tower over the valley. This is one of my favorite destinations in Cuba. The people are nice, the food is great and the photo opportunities are endless.

Teal Blue Night in Akumal

A slew of boats rest on the serene playa in Akumal, Mexico. I walked along the water’s edge taking photos of the boats just as the sun was setting behind me. It is one of my favorite beaches in the Mayan Riviera.

The classic Eastern Columbia building in downtown Los Angeles is a grand reminder of the city’s past. I love photographing this art-deco beauty. But what I would really love is to go up and photograph the roof tower one of these days. Can anybody hook me up?

Blue Buick in Havana

I found this classic Buick taxi while walking among the cobbelstone streets of Old Havana. You can’t walk a block in Havana without encountering a classic car of some sort. There are thousands scattered all over Cuba.

The Orpheum Theatre

Who remembers walking down Broadway in downtown Los Angeles back in the 80’s or 90’s? Yea, it was a pretty sketchy place. Even more if you were out after dark. But now you can walk around DTLA late at night and encounter hipsters walking their dogs or out for a coffee. You also get to admire the classic theaters that have been magnificently restored. One of the best is the Orpheum Theatre. This beauty has been around since the 1920’s and has seen many show biz luminaries grace the stage. Unfortunately, like much of downtown, it went through a dark period (literally) but now the lights are back on and these wonderful venues are once again putting on shows and movies.

Land’s End Lookout

I was in San Francisco last Thanksgiving and went on a hike with the family to this picturesque trail. You’ll see some lovely views of the Pacific Ocean and Golden Gate Bridge. And did you know there are actual ruins in San Francisco? Yep! They are called the Sutra Baths and you’ll find them here. But for now enjoy this pretty view I captured on the hike.
