SpaceGrub is a neat little auto-scrolling platform shooter. Your mission is to reach your tiny space ship in each level (and dont get caught by the moving screen). On your way you have to blast away blocks and enemies and collect boosts to gain speed. If you confront big blocks consider to simply dash through them.
The whole demo can be finished in about 1 minute as you can see from the Gameplay Video. It would be nice if this project would be expanded… maybe with the addition of some more gameplay mechanics and different levels.

Legend Of Zelda 3D Project – New Video (Update #2)

Beside the updated graphics the video shows also Link playing around with the grappling hook.

Choke on my Groundhog, you Bastard Robots is a fast paced and fun arena shooter in which you accompany yourself through marvelous time travel tactics. Each time you die you travel back in time to assist your former existence. That means that you will confront the enemies with a legion of 10 versions of you…
A very short but great paperstyled shooter experience that offers 4 levels of time traveling. Hopefully the developer will expand this game sometime… Chances are not very high since it’s from August 2008 but well maybe he decides that it would be good to create a deluxe version someday

From the Homepage:
Robots are always bastards. There’s no way around it. We build them and they killed us all. Well almost all, I’m the Earth’s last survivor. But with my time traveling groundhog sidekick I’m going to destroy the robot liberation army and take back Earth.

Control with [WASD or ARROW KEYS]. Aim and Shoot with mouse [LEFT BUTTON]. When you die press [SPACE] to travel back in time.

Made by Petri Purho most famous for Crayon Physics Deluxe which is based on his previous freeware prototype Crayon Physics.

drone is an interesting arena shooter with tower defense mechanics and RTS elements. It has minimalist yet unique vector based graphics (that can be enjoyed in HD) and rewarding gameplay.

Enter the arenas and blast all the incoming intruders away in order to get money. By beeing a rich drone you can acquire different weapons, machines and vehicles with ease. It’s your choice how you play the game: Either be a one man army or a commander of axe drones supported by machine turrets and other nice weaponry…
An overall really promising and fun game.

Check out the 3 min trailer from the developer to see different aspects of the game.
Furthermore you might also watch the uncut 8 min gameplay video.

From the Homepage:
“drone” is basically a shmup combined with a tower defense combined with a RTS with a bit of driving sim and rpg in there. You kill enemies to collect money which you may then spend on weapons, ammo, armor, buildings, or vehicles. The fun is in how its balanced. It is possible to finish the entire game without using any weapons – just buildings. Likewise, you can finish the entire game with just weapons and no buildings at all.

5 levels
3 hours of game time minimum.
This game is in HD up to 2800 x 1750

Proun – Beta Out (Update #1)

The Beta for the HD third person racing game Proun is out. Currently there are 2 levels (One is finished and the other is missing some textures) According to the developer the full version will follow in March or April.

Cybersolip

Cybersolip is a fast paced arena shooter with colorful graphics.
The game features an unique graphical style, horizontal 2-way shooting and a handy dodge jump ability. Nice.

Since the playing area is pretty big and therefore fits not on one screen it would be useful when there would be some more background graphics for better orientation…
Also some more weapons and powerups would benefit the game.

Note:
When i asked the developer Andy Wolff about the current status he responded that he aims to continue to work on this project but he is currently busy with learning flixel. Anyways he said that he would like to add a “boss-heavy adventure mode” and a “variety of possibly upgradeable weapons; and lots of interesting environments”.
Sounds good!

Invert Inc.

Invert Inc. is a nice and short puzzle platformer with invertive gameplay.
Switch between black and white in order to let certain blocks appear / disappear.
The game features 30 levels. 15 of them are shown in the gameplay video.

Features:

Invertive gameplay: simple for the beginner, complex challenges for the skilled
30 unique puzzle levels inside the Invert Inc. complex
An entirely custom musical touch
A simple level editor to make and share even more levels!

Note:
The game has been made for the MMF 20 Event Competition and is based on the original game Invert.
