"ZeniMax Media Inc., parent company of noted game publisher Bethesda Softworks, today announced it has completed the acquisition of legendary game studio, id Software, creators of world-renowned games such as DOOM, QUAKE, Wolfenstein, and its upcoming title, RAGE. The acquisition by ZeniMax Media joins together two of the finest, most respected videogame developers in the world, combining the first person shooter (FPS) expertise of id Software with acclaimed role playing game (RPG) developer Bethesda Game Studios � creators of the 2008 Game of the Year, Fallout 3, and the 2006 Game of the Year, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Bethesda Softworks will publish the titles of id Software other than upcoming releases previously committed to other publishers.

Founded in 1991, id Software established itself as an industry leader with some of the best-selling and most critically acclaimed video games of all time. id Software created the original first-person shooter, Wolfenstein 3D, and subsequently set new standards in the genre with the blockbuster releases of its DOOM and QUAKE titles. In addition, id Software developed cutting edge, proprietary technology with the id Tech engine which powers many notable FPS titles, and continues to make great advances in game technology under the direction of John Carmack, one of the country�s technology leaders and a member of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) Hall of Fame.

id Software will continue to operate as a studio under the direction of its founder, John Carmack. No changes will be made in the operations of id Software in the development of its games. Se pare ca povestea se petrece in Sao Paolo din Brazilia, iar engine-ul folosit in joc este identic cu cel din GTA4, probabil imbunatatit, mediul inconjurator fiind distructibil intr-o oarecare masura.
Plus ca in Max Payne 3 vom beneficia si de multiplayer.

Jocul este produs de Rockstar Vancouver si va fi lansat in iarna aceasta pt. PC Xbox360 si PS3.

Skill Matching - We are fairly significantly changing our model and formulas for skill matching. The first phase of this is related to Duel PR, but we will be moving that through the other gametypes as things progress and we feel comfortable with the model. Although this will be relatively "transparent" to most players, the obvious net result should be that you're more often being presented "check-marked" games with players that are closer to your skill level. We've re-processed any of your previous Duel matches and results using this new model, so you will not be required to re-play the initial match with Crash, and your "skill" will already have some previous results taken into account. We'll be monitoring things closely and continuing to adjust as necessary.

Duel Detective - Related to the above, tomorrow we will be enabling a feature for easily finding Duel Games - called Duel Detective. Once you've selected "Online Games" you will notice a red bar in the right column of the page (above the news) titled "Duel Detective." This system let's you flag yourself as "available" for a duel and then looks at other players who've done the same, evaluates location, skill and other factors, and then notifies you when the match is ready. Our plan is to use this system for other gametypes in the future, but we're working first on Duel.

Match Summary and Detail Views - We had a number of issues related to the results displayed in the match summary and detail views (when viewing matches within player profiles) particularly related to how it handled statistics for players that quit the match or switched teams during a match. These final stats should now be correct. Also, in the match details view, you're now able to expand the "Quitters" summary line and actually see the players that left the match. The goal here is to allow you be more easily remember and identify players that quit matches early so that they don't get a loss. This change will retroactively apply to all of the matches in your Match History.

Other Web Changes - There's now a link from quakelive.com to "Profiles" so you and others can more easily check your stats without needing to log in. We've also changed the format of the news page to include summaries of news stories, with a link to the full news story (at a unique URL) which you can now share with your social network via the "Share" button. There's now also an RSS feed for QUAKE LIVE news - see the link in the right column of the page.

Better In-game Voting Notification - Now when a vote is called while you're playing, the information presented in the bottom left corner of the screen should be a bit more clear, and more importantly, we've added the ability for you to press the Esc. key during a vote to see a full, on-screen explanation of the vote that has been called and allow you to click to vote.

-Almost Lost (QZTOURNEY6): We re-compiled VIS to fix performance issues and fixed some z-fighting
-Furious Heights (QZTOURNEY7): Patched the "hole exploit"
-House of Decay (QZTOURNEY9): By popular request, we added another Yellow Armor and changed positions for Grenade Launcher and Shotgun
-Troubled Waters (QZCTF2): We fixed an area where players were bumping their head when using the jumppad in flag room
-Space CTF (QZCTF4): We fixed a number of accelerator pad issues and other odd issues that resulted in asymmetric exploits

Aşa cum probabil toată lumea �şi imagina, Konami continuă seria Pro Evolution Soccer, cu versiunea pentru anul 2009, intitulată sugestiv PES 2010.

Producătorii promit o experienţă mai apropiată de noţiunea de simulare dec�t de cea de arcade, spun�nd că au ţinut cont de doleanţele jucătorilor cu ştate vechi, dar şi de cele ale acelora mai casual.

Ce aduce nou PES 2010? Ne spune comunicatul de presă:

^{� Gameplay: PES 2010 focuses on enhancing the
excitement of matches between players, making for a truly challenging
experience that will constantly test the player. Intuitive zonal
defending will cover spaces and players need to look constantly for new
ways to attack. PES 2010 focuses on being a real football simulation,
as it requires both strategic play and quick reactions, as in real
life. In addition to key out-field elements, goalkeepers are more
versatile and with abilities matching those of modern shot-stoppers.
The game�s referees have also been reworked, with smarter AI elements
allowing them to make more balanced calls during matches.

� Improved Visuals: PES 2010 has undergone a major
visual revamp, with its celebrated player likenesses and animations now
even closer to those of real-life players � including live player
expressions to be depicted with an improved lighting system which
differentiates between various conditions! Stadium detail is also
massively improved, with the grass and other in-stadium elements finely
depicted.

� All-new animation and moves: Animations now dovetail
into each other seamlessly, with dribbling and shots on goals worked
into dribbling animations. More individual skills are also on show,
including new flicks and tricks that have a definite showing on the way
a game flows. Several elements have been completely reworked, with the
dribbling, turning and kicking animations greatly enhanced, while there
is a noticeable change in pace when a player passes a ball from a
standing position than from within a run.

� Match-Day Atmosphere: Crowd reactions to the
on-field action are now more varied, with all new chants and cheers.
The subtle difference between Home and Away matches will be reproduced,
and the crowd will react spontaneously to specific situations in a
game, showing their disdain or pleasure as fouls are committed and
goals scored. Likewise, the commentary has been altered to offer a
fresher, more concise overview of the game.

� Enhanced Master League: Master League has been
thoroughly renewed with the enhancement of managerial aspects, which
enables users to enjoy managing a team for a longer career lifespan.
Seen by many as a key contributor to the series� success, the Master
League elements in PES 2010 have been bolstered by far-ranging and
vital new additions, dedicated to enriching the mode. Further details
will be announced shortly.

� AI: The Tokyo team
has worked to improve the AI of the game, with Teamvision 2.0
implemented. Midfielders and defenders now work together to cover open
space and close down attacks, meaning that cover can be provided for
lower-ranked defenders. This also has the additional effect of removing
soft goals, thus returning PES 2010 to its simulation roots. In terms
of attacking, players can also now move several players once, sending
them into different areas, opening up more goal-scoring possibilities
than ever before. As such, PES 2010 necessitates a new level of control
from the player. Strategic thinking is as important as quick passing,
but the new system greatly opens the way the player oversees control of
the team. In free kick scenarios, for instance, players can now
instigate the runs of the players awaiting the ball in the penalty area.

� Individual Play Characteristics:
In previous PES games, the team formation has determined the movements
of the players. PES 2010 introduces a new system wherein the individual
attacking and defending nature of the players is integral to the way
they play. Each player enjoys unique AI tied into their best abilities,
and is reflected in the actions of their team mates � i.e. if a player
who is known to be a good crosser of the ball is in possession, more
players will flood the penalty area to receive it. Similarly, if a
player is known to be good with close control, defenders will work to
cover their stronger side, while lone strikers will be automatically
supported by midfielders on receipt of the ball.

� Strategy Use:
A new power gauge system allows users to balance their strategy in a
quick, but wide-ranging way before a match. Every element � pass
frequency, movement, the line of defence, width of play, or the
position of the front line � can be altered to match those of a
favoured club: Juventus Turin are a dangerous side on the
counter-attack, for instance, while FC Barcelona use width in their
attack. These formulations can be altered at any point, too, with Home
and Away matches forcing different circumstances on the user, as does
the rigours of a Master League season.

� Penalties: An all-new system has been implemented, offering greater control, placing and accuracy.

� Enhanced Online:
A new dedicated section of the Tokyo team is committed to improving the
online side of PES 2010. More downloadable content is also planned.
Konami has supported PES 2009 with the release of new licensed teams,
transfer updates, etc, and this support will grow for PES 2010. Team
and content updates are planned throughout the game�s lifespan. These
will make the game even more bespoke to the player�s match day needs.}

E.Y.E este un shooter/RPG motorizat de engine-ul Source. Răspunzători de acest joc sunt francezii de la Streum On Studio.

Povestea, parcă sună un pic a Deus Ex 1, jucătorul fiind transpus in "pielea" unui "elite soldier from a strange and secret society, which is looking by any means to take the power of the almighty Federation. The arrival of a mysterious and monstrous force, emanation from mankind�s fears and terrors is thwarting this intent".

Asemănările cu Deus Ex nu se opresc aici. E.Y.E vă va oferi posibilitatea să vă dezvoltaţi abilităţile cu ajutorul unor implanturi cibernetice (augmentations, �n Deus Ex) şi să folosiţi tot felul de psi powers.

"The player will be able to make his character's characteristics evolve, buy some new equipment and several cybernetic implants, make some researches on new technologies, use dozens of psi powers. He will also have to deal with his psychology and his mental balance in order to not sink into madness."
