Every time Spring rolls around my thought fill with pastels among flowers, ladybugs, bunnies, dresses and picnics. But above all - and a reason for which I have no rational explanation - I can't get enough pink. Pink, pink, pink... pink on this, that and everything else. In order to tame this craving for pink, I decided to make a treasury. It's been quite a while since I put togeter an Etsy

Image via WikipediaHow cliche was that title? Hahaa well It's time to do just that (albeit yesterday), Spring forward! It hasn't bitten me yet but I can feel the spring cleaning itch rising. I have feeling it will strike in the next few weeks here, probably over Easter break. Also I wanted to pose a question to anyone who might be reading this... instead of me groping for content I want to know

Yay! Put up a new background and banner picture! As I am sure you will notice it says "PKmmminty & Sweetee.etsy.com". This is my attempt to combine the two entities into one. I like them both independently and it wouldn't feel right to me to combine them and change to one collective name (maybe later on some time) so for now they will run in tandem on blog and twitter but they will only be in one

How many is a hundred words? What does it look like? Where does it go? When does it stop? How does it feel? How does it sound? Does it resound? Does it abound? Will it be here when I come back? Or will it have moved on to better places and kinder spaces? If that is the case, I have much to learn and plenty from it to gain. For only fools are blind to their mistakes.

I have thought long and hard on the subject and decided that I do want to be a renaissance women, I want to do a little but of it all without having to fit into the norm that everyone wants me too. While reading lots of posts on Etsy and joining live events in the virtual labs. There is plenty of good advice to go around with 80% of that advice being that you should find one niche and stick with

Wondering where I've been? Maybe? Probably not, but just in case you have... I have been knitting and wining and schooling it up. My main bit of news is that I have sold my camera! Before you say "Oh No!", let me tell you why. The camera I had was good for some point and shoot action or for someone who generally doesn't know much about cameras. It was a point and shoot and I didn't like how

Yay for Spring! The past few days have been just gorgeous. We have had the windows and the screen door open so we get a nice cross breeze through the house. Baby girl has loved it and spent hours in the backyard with bubble makers and digging in the dirt. Which is perfect because i can see most of all the back yard from here at the dining room table while i work on school work. Today we found

Let me preface this with saying that I have never been to a Tuesday Morning before. I remember all those commercials that they ran a couple years ago. They really touted the quality of the store. There wasn't one here until about 6 months ago I think maybe a little longer. I have recently heard 3 people talk about it on separate occasions. So my curiosity was definitely peaked. So Friday on the

It is snowing again! This is the 3th snow this year or the 4th if you want to count the last snow day when it snowed in the evening and overnight but didn't really stick. I am going to be honest there are a number of gripers around here but I really love snow. I wish that we got a little more though. This has been a good year for snow, I would rather have a winter of really good snows every few

I have come to realize that I am quite a growly bear first thing in the morning, the person who most experiences this is my daughter. Now she could be jumping all over the bed and singing at the top of her lungs and it wouldn't bother me... However when you start touching me [read: laying, rolling, bouncing or otherwise actively engaging my person] or getting in my face asking my something, it

I'm BACK! Did you miss me? I hope so because I missed you. In honor of returning to all things Peppermint Knits, I made a treasury. It actually came off the list today, I meant to post this previously. I named it Inamorata, I thought the title was pretty self explanatory...Tomorrow I will hopefully be posting about my Ravelympics project!

Are you excited?? I am! Ok so you know the process, i pledge to you honesty. I rechecked my running list to be sure i knew everyone's number of entries. There was a total of 21 Entrants and a total of 42 entries between them all. All names were written in pencil on squares of paper that were all the same size, then balled up and tossed in a jar. They were shaken and stirred. My three year old

It's a beautiful Friday morning! I'm sipping an eggnog latte, updating the giveaway entries and looking over my calender. There are 10 more days to enter the giveaway, which means 10 more days to tweet tweet tweet for even MORE entries. I am really excited about it so don't miss out! I've added a new listing as well. The Ring Around the Posie Hat in Bluebell. So sweet! Love it, love it! The next

I was thinking of random things and this popped in my head. A CoSwap! what the heck is that you ask? It's coupon swapping! So it's a little more in depth than it appears at first glance. What I mean by this is to have a collaboration among a few sellers(at least), maybe i'll start a twibe for it or something... What would happen is this, a group of sellers would swap "coupon" cards. I don't know

Hey everyone one! Things are going good so far, trying to spread the word around. Don't forget that every tweet gets you another entry, so far Itsfromarizona has the most. I have a few items that I am finishing up that should be out before the end of the giveaway. If all goes as planned at least. I am going to amend that you can use whatever message you like for your tweet, i mean word it however

Yah! It's time for Peppermint Knits first official giveaway! In combination with the giveaway there is a sale. The sale starts today Monday, October 19th and runs for four weeks ending on Monday, November 16th. I am in love with these cowls. They are available in 3 sizes and 6 colors with more coming. The sizes are as follows: Tall (approx inches), Short (approx. inches), and Squat (approx. inches). The colors so far are Forest (pictured), Sea (pictured), Black (pictured), Poppy (red), Cream, and Tickled (pink). I've chosen a heavenly soft bamboo yarn that is perfectly warm and snuggly. Anyone that has known me for any length of time will know that fall is my favorite season and with that a heap of love for the holiday's (which by the way I can't wait until the welcomed cool days of fall). Perhaps that is where my love for knitting comes from. Since deciding to group and release my new projects together I've been making a goal of building stock. The idea of have "stock" was

I have been so neglectful, there is no excuse but really I just forget. That or I have a wealth of ideas and they all sound so much better in my head because when I get to the computer to post about them they are short and lame so I just don't post at all.So I'll work on that, I could share my newest treasury Memories of MorningAt the moment it's rainy and cool outside so I'm taking advantage of

It's a little overdue and a lot of cuteness. This might just be my personal favorite so far. Ok enough talking here it is!The baby version will be discounted because I was experimenting with the colors and it's not exactly how I will be making them in the future. I've also decided to change the ribbing a little and make the hat a little more like a tam. My plan is to work on a whole troop of Bee

I have been an avid firefox user for quite some time but lately i've been having a few technical issues with it that I haven't been able to correct. Even by reinstalling so i decided to look into and try out some other browsers. Right now I'm using Flock (2.5 Beta) It's also powered by Mozilla and works very similarly, though it has add-ons that allow you to see whats happening on facebook or

I've been reading a fair amount lately on marketing, advertising and other things to help build my {tiny} business. I love my Etsy shop, truthfully I just love Etsy. I love all it has to offer as well as the standard to which it is run. Not to say that other sites in the same category are bad or not doing it right. They all have their own method, I simply prefer Etsy's method. Since opening my

A few years ago bought a silly little aloe plant. I was really buying it because i liked the decorative little pot it was in. This poor aloe plant has been through so much, it's been ignored, shoved onto the shelf in the garage, sunburned, over watered and just all around uncared for. But it has not giving up life yet. It has managed to survive through (what i thought to be) numerous "deaths"

Working on these couple of projects is becoming frustrating. Possibly because of the perfectionist in me, the little critic in my head that is always most critical of the creative works I allow to come out of me. I find myself continuously frogging and starting over. As a result I feel that I can't effectively empty my soul of this creative energy, it's starting to run rampant and become
